Asha 501 - Radio doesn't have record option.

Hi,
I've 3 queries regading fm/radio/ring tone cutter.
1. It doesn't have the record option, does it need firmlevel updated to have such feature or just sofware..
2. In some models having FM Transmitter, even is this requires a firmware update or sofware..
3. Also, I can't see any app to cut the song file for ringtone..I've seen this app in my asha 206.

Hi,
- Afaik the record option is not available due to legal constraints.
- A "transmitter" cannot be updated with SW. It is a HW component. Asha 501 does not have a FM transmitter, it has a FM receiver.
- In terms of apps we are working to provide as many apps as possible for the new Asha Software Platform - but I cannot provide details on when and if which SW will become available.

Whether you can use your phone in this way is entirely the responsibility of your phone company/carrier. You need to contact them to see if you can add tethering to your phone plan. Be warned though that it could get rather expensive, so if you don't really need it, then do without, but in any instance, you need to contact your phone carrier.

How do I re-install the creative suite I bought when new laptop doesn't have cd option?

I installed Adobe Creative Suite with the installation cd on my old laptop (mac). Now I have a new laptop (macbook pro retina) and this laptop doesn't have a cd. I downloaded creative suite on new laptop. Now when I try to save a file, the program crashes and the file I was working on is lost (and not saved). How to solve this problem?

Nobody can tell you anything without proper technical details like what program you actually mean, where you save and so on.

T400s with Windows 7 RTM doesn't have undock option

I just purchased a T400s, scrubbed it completly and installed Windows 7. I'm gradually installing Vista drivers in hope of getting some advanced functionality. I also purchased a Series 3 advanced dock.
The Start menu doesn't show an undock option.
Is there a specific driver that enables this functionality?

T400 - Intel Chipset Video - Doesn't have profile option

I'm having issues with a laptop not remembering the settings when she docks sometimes. The problem is, her setup is different than most and requires a fair amount of setup to complete. The T400 doesn't appear to have a "save a scheme or profile" option. Am I blind and just missing it, or did they actually forget to include this function?

You may be on earth but we won't know which operating system you're runing and service pack level. You should outline your machines hardware outline in detail. Assumptions rarely lead to a resolution. This is a couple of generations back. Are you using the original installation that came with or changed clean installing something else.

Yoga 13 doesn't have an option to create recovery media in onekey recovery

Hi All,
I am prepping a new Lenovo Yoga 13 for a user. I want to create recovery DVD(s) for the new system with the OneKey Recovery software. When I open the application there is no option to create media. There are only a backup option and a restore option. I called tech support and they advised if I attach a DVD drive the option to create media will appear. I did this but no luck..... I am attaching first a picture of what I see when I open One Key Recovery
And secondly to show that I do have a usb DVD connected here is a picture of the DVD attached with a blank DVD inside it.
I have downloaded the lastest update to the One Key Utility and am running version: 8.0.0.1519. Can anyone give any insight as to why the create recovery media isn't there for me?.....

I found the answer to my own question. Essentially in version 8 there is no way to create recovery media with this utility. I came across the following link which I am going to try:

My Mac Pro doesn't have an option to send sound to Digital Optical.

I've recently had a problem with my Mac Pro where the sound options tab does not display an option to my digital optical audio port. I didn't notice it until I got a headset that needed that port. I figured it was probably the headsets fault, since it wasn't being very cooperative with the computer in the first place. But when I got a new headset that was made for PC and Mac, I found that the option was still not there. I've looked around, and haven't really found a similar problem or solution.
I am running an early Mac Pro 2008 dual Quad Core @ 2.23GHz. I have 14GB of Ram installed, and run an ATI 5870.
Also, I have tested the headset on the Windows side of my computer, and that side IS picking up the digital optical output, so I know that it is working, just not with the Mac OS.
If you guys can help, I'd be greatful.

iPhones purchased in the UAE do not have FaceTime installed and FaceTime will not appear regardless of where the phone is taken.
Jailbreaking will void your warranty with Apple, may permanently render your phone unusuable, and will eliminate the possibility of getting help from Apple or its forums including this one.
If you want FaceTime on an iPhone, sell that phone and purchase one from one of the authorized iPhone dealers in India.

Yosemite mail client doesn't have bounce option

In Snow Leopard (i know, it's been a while), there was a great feature in the MAIL APP called "bounce" that would essentially tell the sender they sent email to a bad email account. This really helped with eliminating Junk mail. There doesn't appear to be a way to do this in the new Yosemite mail client. It was such a great feature, why remove it? Hopefully i'm missing something.

Lenovo IdeaPad S10-2 3g manager doesn't have a options for "UMTS only" like other 3G modem

Problem: If you receive more signals 2G, 3G and 2G signal is stronger like 3G, then modem always use 2G signal for connection. But I don't like it. I want to use 3G signal, but I must all times manualy select 3G from list and this is very disturbing.
Is there maybe some solution for this problem?

It might be the same GOBI model but different Vendor ID and Product ID. I've personally seen the VID/PID of the Ericsson and Huawei modems posted in the other thread so it's safe to say that they will work with the S10-3T. However, finding where to buy those exact modems can be a problem. I would guess it will only be available at the Lenovo site soon.

I'm using my gmail account in the asha 501. I cannot see any option to download the attachment to my phone.
Also, it takes all the time on earth to open large messages, though I agree its 2g speed but its taking a lot of time and round sign revolves and nothing happens and I need to quit that msg.
Any solutions for this..

Why doesn't iPhone have the options to import photos directly in Windows 8 like in Windows 7?

It used to be able to import photos directly into the same folder as the photos are synced under "Last Import" back in Windows 7. But now in windows 8, I have to use Dropbox to import photos, yet Dropbox doesn't have the options to erase photos already imported.

I tried replicating your issue at my end on Safari v5.1.7 and when i navigated to http://www.bmc.org/cancer-center.htm > downloads > cancer support services newsletter , it prompts me to 'open', 'save' or 'cancel' the file.
When i open it opens properly in Acrobat 9 Pro. And after saving it if I try to open with Reader X, it works perfectly fine with me.
Try resetting safari, by clicking on the 'gear' icon at the top right corner i.e. tools > Reset safari. It will pop up a new window, if possible keep all the options checked and reset safari. Then retry opening the link and it should work fine.
