Hello Asha 501 users
No more useless Update Notifications and no more staying with the old version. An update to Nokia Xpress browser version 3.7 is available now for all Asha 501 owners.
The next time you see an update notification, just proceed and you'll get the update. If you don't see the notification again, open http://download.browser.ovi.com in your browser and download the update manually

So I was browsing Talkonaut's site and I saw this note about the SIP portion:

Asha 501 Security Code After Update

Hi Nokia,
I bought a Nokia Asha 501 on 23rd December, and yesterday only started for the first time use.
But unfortunately after the software update,
it's completely locked everything and i can't do anything with it,
even the default nokia code 12345 and my lock screen code won't do anything good.
I can't unlock it so what should I do?
Note that the phone itself doesn't contain ANY data yet as it's just started at the very beginning settings.

That's correct. The iPad has no built in mechanism for pressure sensitivity and requires an Bluetooth-connected pressure sensitive pen such as the Pogo Connect to capture pressure information.

Many of Asha users are just complaining regarding the PUSH NOTIFICATION option in FACEBOOK app.
The fact is here that facebook for every phone has push notification app once.
But as of now its not supported.This is not only the reason "Few FB accounts have this option,dont know why, for few reasons best known to FACEBOOK team.

If it shows version not 3 or grather (<integer>3</integer>) try to force my Mac to update its malware definitions, I launched System Preferences > Security > General, and then unchecked and re-checked the box in front of "Automatically update safe downloads list."

NOKIA ASHA 501 CAMERA SHUTTER SOUND CANT BE TURNED...

Dear Nokia ASHA 501 users there is a bug left by NOKIA in its ASHA 501 you cant switch OFF the camera sound there is ON?OFF slider which is left at ON mode by NOKIA its disabled at that mode you cant scroll it to OFF the shutter sound

If you cant turn it off its set up that way for a reason,its common in most countries for this option to be locked,due to privacy laws.

I like the new backpanel/case of the asha 503/502 with glass around. Is it possible for Nokia to create few limited edition of the same type for Asha 501 users.
This will definitely, help us to give a new look for asha 501 users. Both the software got upgraded and made it new and now even if the backcase comes it will be too good.

You should look for the Applications yourself at the Nokia Store.. Select your Phone..then the area of Interest and check. You may then refer the User Reviews for the particular application ...

Asha 501- keyboard apps or multiple keyboards

I'm an Asha 501 user, my fingers are very much large/fat so when ever I try to touch on the screen somtimes it goes to other keywords.
my sister also used the same keyboard and her fingers are tiny, she has no issues in accessing the keyboard. but I've seen other devices in the 3 inch where they have provided the keyboard with much better option like spaces in between the letters are sufficient for me to type without any errors.
If possible try to develop an app for users like me. In some cases the landscape mode helps, but for some apps or interface the landscape mode doesn't activate.....

I do not have any trouble with the Keypad(virtual).... But i prefer ENGILSH PHONE KEYPAD rather than full keypad.
Its pretty easy to type the letters and spacious toooo So just give a try And as far as i know there is no possibility to develop an app that too regarding keypad in this platform. But anyways hope for it
