Asha 503: couldn't find some of basic call mgmt op...
Hi,
Good evening to all. I am very new member. I have just bought a new Asha 503 5 days ago but since then I couldn't find some of basic call management options into it. These are as follows:
>Autometic answer (WH 108 dosen't hav any SW to ans a call so this is most important)
>Voice dial
>HD audio
>VoIP call
>Conference call
I have searched Settings->Dual Sim->Sim setting & Settings->Apps->Calls but all are in vain.
Plz be kind enough to bear with my ignorance & plz let me help to find out those options (as you can see these are very essential options for day in & out).
Until now not get a answer to my quries. Plz don't think I am annoyed about that. No not at all. Not getting even a hint from anybody actually increased my doubt that it may be two ways.
1> May be they have no hint as well as me or
2>Handset hasn't those options.
So I contacted Nokia Support via live chat & I have chat with one of their CS person & he confirmed that handset dosen't have those option in this moment. But Nokia always telling their customers that Asha 503 have those features. Plz goto

Besides that at this price point it is not expected that these basic features will be available at any handset at every corner of this world?
What do you think guys am I expecting too much?
Ridiculously all my prev Nokia handset(6080, N73, 1110 & 5030) had atleast Autometic answer option & 6080 & N73 had voice call also. But alas in 2014 Asha 503 dosen't have those option.
This is the first time my life I feel cheated by company like Nokia!! They simply can't deliver what they promised their customer.
What do you think guys what I need to do now? Plz reply

So recently I synced my iPod Classic 160 GB like I did so many times and when I wanted to play some music afterwards it couldn’t find any files on the iPod anymore. However when you look in the settings it displays that ~roughly 90 GB free space is available. Seen the fact that I had about 60 gigs of music this doesn’t seem like a coincidence and I think my music is still somewhere on the ipod but the HDD isn’t recognizing it anymore.
I’ve tried resetting it, and resetting it to factory settings, which didn’t work. When connected to a desktop it won’t be recognized by iTunes, it displays an error message that the iPod cannot be read and that I have to reset it to factory settings.
I’ve spent some time researching this problem yesterday and I ran into a myriad of vaguely similar problems didn’t really offer any help. Currently I’m thinking that formatting the iPod might work, and restoring the software afterwards. However this is a rather bold strategy so I’d like to consult you here first.

Thank you for the info, with formatting my iPod I managed to connect it to iTunes again.
However..in the page you linked to there is a section about how transferring large amounts of data can dump your library. That seems to be the problem in this case. It won't even allow me to transfer more than 2 gigabytes of music per sync, if I go higher it will dump everything again. Having over >60 GB of music in my library, this is disastrous to say the least.
Do you think that there is any other solution besides the method you mentioned involving Smart Playlists? -

I inherited this app and signing the third party jars is how it was setup, I was wondering the same thing too, why was it necessary to sign the third party jars?
The applet runs in either JRE 1.6.0_13 or JRE 1.6.0_27 depending on the other Java apps the user uses. JRE 1.6.0_13 does not have the mixed code security (so it is like is disable), but JRE 1.6.0_27 does have the mixed code security and the applet will not launch with mixed code security enable, so we have to disable it. With all the hacking going on in the last two years, is important to improve security; so this is a must.
Yes, I always clear up the cache.

The Safari, Email and Notes applications are native to the iOS and is unable to be deleted. Since this is the case, they are either in a folder on the iPhone, on another page or Restrictions are enabled. You can also search for these Apps on the iPhone by touching the screen and sliding your finger down. Here is some information regarding these features. Asha 503 voip accounts not registering on 3G & not...
Hi all.
I had some trouble to find the proper Forum area for this issue. I hope this is the right place.
Here is the description of the issue:
[1]Before inserting any SIM into Asha 503:
[1.1]Through Wi-Fi, mobile registers and makes voip calls, both using encryption and not using encryption;
[2]After inserting Operator SIM Card (Vodafone)
[2.1]Accounts (both using and not using encryption) do not register via 3G (even though the sim card allows that - I use same card in other devices);
[2.2]WiFi connection doesn't register encrypted accounts any more. Tried removing SIM card and restart phone but looks like the "feature" got permanently damaged
I did also try to reinstall firmware but issues remain (meaning that something is being left there from Operator SIM). Anyhow, I should be able to insert a SIM in the phone, otherwise it is not a phone right?
Further info: Previously I have been testing an Asha 311:
[1]Registers and calls through 3G and WiFi (both using or not using encryption);
[2] Has an issue with Encrypted sip accounts- when looses WiFi and comes back to same WiFi network, is not able to re-register (this problem doesn't affect sip accounts which are not encrypted).
[2.1] This problem is not related to SIM - After reinstaling firmware, the symptoms remain.
NOTE: I quit from trying to solve this problem - that is why I bought the 503 .
If anybody as a clue how to help solving Asha's 503 issue, I would be truly grateful and happy.

PS In the past I came accross a problem in Asha 311 that was returning error when some apps were trying to access to internet and the solution was this:

I am not sure if this would be the same kind of problem occurring now in the Asha 503 (however, Asha503 doesn't seem to have same kind of settings as in Ash 311)Out of the blue after a few restarts, Asha 503 started to work with no problems when connection is WiFi (both encrypted and not encrypted accounts)*.
When connection is 3G it doesn't work at all (it is the same if account was created via UI or though provisioning).
So, the updated Status is:
Asha 503 - voip over 3G not working
Accounts (both using and not using encryption) do not register via 3G (even though the sim card allows that - I use same card in other devices);
Experienced only once - after testing several times turning on and off WiFi to force 3G, did not register via WiFi any of the accounts - had to restart the device. But this happened only once. Normally there are no issues registering through WiFi.

Sounds like tou need some basic information.
The best advice I can give someone new to Numbers (and to spreadsheets in general) is to download and read at least the first four chapters of the Numbers '09 User Guide. You'll find a download link in the Help menu in Numbers '09.
When you want to start using more complicated formulas, you'll also need the iWork Formulas and Functions User Guide, available from the same menu.
Regarding your question: "Can you just give me the string for B which is just add and C which is *2."
What is to be added in "B"? What is to be multiplied by 2 in "C"?
=2+3 will return the result 5.
=A+B will return the sum of the numbers in column A and column B in the same row as the cell containing the formula. If either A or B contains a non-numerical value, the formula will return an error message.
=3*2 will return the result 6.
=A*B will return the product of the numbers in column A and column B in the same row as the cell containing the formula. If either A or B contains a non-numerical value, the formula will return an error message.

Couldn't find ABPerson with ID
Hello!
I'm starting this thread to ask for help in tracking down weird behavior with my Mavericks-based client (2012 MacMini) connecting with my Mavericks/Server 3.0.1-based server (2010 MacMini). That said, I believe some of this behavior pre-dates my switching to a Mavericks-based server from ML/Server 2.2.2.
The basic difficulty I am having is the Internet Accounts seem to have their passwords wiped and I have to reenter them. Usually I have to enter them twice to get them to stick. Unfortunately, I can't discern for sure exact steps to replicate the condition. I can say that oftentimes changes to settings (mostly DNS or File Sharing) on the server lead to the issue, but not always. At times it seems to occur when the client is woken up from a sleep.
One set of errors I can reproduce reliably has to do with the addressbook and directory services. If I bring up Contacts on the client, I have, under Directories, an "All Directories", a "Directory Services" and directory services associated with my connection to addressbook server (not really sure why Apple has both of these listed).
When I select on of the directories, and enter a character in the search field I get the following error in Console:

If I then select another directory or the All Directories, the same error is produced but with a different UID. In fact, the UID changes each time, but is produced in the log exactly four times each time I select a new directory.
No errors are produced if nothing is in the search field.
Any ideas what is going on here? Do others see the same behavior? Is this harmless?
In and of itself, it doesn't seem to cause problems, but I also tend to see errors in my logs regarding database errors associated with the addressbook services, calendar agents, and Messages. My sense is most of the errors are originated due to something with the addressbook. I also see entries like this:

This J2ee Service user that one has to create (according to Documentation), how does the portal know to use this user when retrieving tickets from Kerberos? I can't see anywhere where this user is actually part of the portal config.

Currently the spnegoconfig test tool returns two users when I search for 'n J2EE user using HTTP/fqdn.of.myserver@DOMAIN. This is my KPN right?
How do I rid of this second user and where does this tool get the info from? Because on AD only one of the users (our created J2EE service user) has a SPN set (HTTP/...)

Everything was working fine on both computers - Consolidated the library on the external drive and did the Change the location of the iTunes Media folder in Preferences on both computers, no problem.
However I added two movies and a few songs to my desktop Mac yesterday - all showed up and played fine after adding them - but when I plug the external drive into my laptop, the new additions don't appear in the library.

Installation of latest itunes update stopped, gave error message "couldn't find MSVCR80.dll" Suggested reinstall. Tried but got same message. Now get same error message when I try to open itunes. Help!

If you haven't already done these steps, this section contains information that might help your situation, as the order and manner which you uninstall has an effect on the outcome:
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
Let us know if following that article and uninstalling those components in that order helped the situation.

ITunes can't find some songs - can anybody help?
(I'm reposting this question because the thread it was in was marked as "Answered" - but it wasn't answered, and nobody was replying.)
My iTunes library was on an external drive, and it was working just fine. Then there were some problems with the external drive, so I bought a new external drive and loaded the entire iTunes library onto it. (I followed Apple's instructions for doing this.)
I set preferences to use the iTunes folder on the new external drive. When I launched iTunes, all the music appears, as do all of the playlists that I created. It looked like everything was OK with the new hard drive - until I looked more closely and saw exclamation points next to some of the songs in my music library.
Here is the problem: iTunes says it "can't find" the locations of about 5% of the songs in my library (that's about 300 songs). Those are the songs with the exclamation points next to them. When I try to play them, iTunes says it can't find the file.
If I click on one of the "lost" songs to try to play it, iTunes presents a dialog box that lets me navigate my way to that song to show iTunes where it is, and then iTunes can play it. Theoretically this is a solution, but I don't want to do that for about 300 songs - it would take hours.
All of the "lost" songs are in my iTunes music folder. There doesn't seem to be anything unusual or unique about the lost songs.
I searched Apple's support pages for help on this, and I searched this forum (iTunes for Mac), and I couldn't find an answer. It looks like a fairly common problem - I see other posts with similar problems, but I haven't seen a solution yet.
Any ideas what causes this? And (more importantly) any suggestions for how to get iTunes to recognize the location of those songs with the exclamation points?The suggestions that I received didn't solve my problem, but they did result in a duplication of my entire library - and I didn't relish the thought of deleting 6100 duplicate songs, one-by-one. I finally solved both problems by rebuilding the iTunes library. It was pretty easy to do, and it cleaned things up quite well.
There is an Apple tech support document that describes how to do this, but it's a bit hard to find. If you search for "rebuild iTunes library", you won't find it. You have to search for "re-create iTunes library" with a hyphen stuck in the middle of the word recreate. Then you will find this link...

...which guides you step-by-step through the process of rebuilding the iTunes library. This got rid of duplicates, it re-established broken links, and it found a few songs that for some reason had not been in the previous library. -

ChiponnThere's been an update for OSX ML which addresses the issue for installing Windows 8 on bootcamp.
It's NOT recommended that you Upgrade.. However, the way to get the drivers is:
You'll need an external USB drive formatted as FAT for this.
1) In OSX, start the Bootcamp Assistant
2) Press Next
3) UNTICK 'Remove WIndows 7 or Later Version'
4) TICK Download the Latest Windows Support Software from Apple
5) Insert USB drive
6) Press CONTINUE
The drivers should download, and copy a WIndowsSupport folder onto the USB drive.
I did notice that Windows 8 still requires beta drivers for some aspects such as VGA (the Radio HD Card), which you can get on the AMD website.
Futhermore, why are you using Windows 8 "32" bit when you blatently have a powerful 64bit?

Couldn't find delivery channel when using Mail-Package

I use the mail receiver adapter. If I configure the mail header data (sender, receiver, subject) in the adapter configuration everything works fine. But now I need a dynamic subject, so I thought of using "mail package". But now I get an error "Couldn't find receiver channel for message..."
The mail package looks like this:

The error has been solved after I am changing some configuration. But when I try to access the portal, it just hanging waiting for something.
