'ashost' is missing

After installing MSS 60.1.5 (System = HP-UX 11.11 ORACLE 9.2.0.5. SAP EP 6.0 ON WEB AS 6.20)
and trying to use the the iViews in the MyBudget workset – we are getting the following errors:
'ashost' is missing JCO Client not connected in repository call.
Any ideas?

Hi (Tom har du arbejdet for SapTech?).
Thank you very much for your answer. The alias's are already created. SAP_R3_Financials, SAP_BW and so on, so this is not the problem. The problem appears to be linked to the JCO. My question is:
We are using EP6.0 against SAP R/3 4.6C. I have been looking for the RFC JCO connection using SM59 R/3 and I cant find it. I assume that you need the latest version of JCO and to set-up the JCO-RFC connection in order to run most of the standard iViews in the Portal?
Another thing. Testing the R/3 connection in the Portal gives me no errors on the ITS connection whereas the WAS connection gives me an error since the WAS parameters are not set up. One guy have told me that and I quote
"These parameters are for Web application servers (which is the new Server from 6.10 already including an ITS) - the R/3 system in question is a 4.6C which does not include this ITS functionality in this version. So I think this is not the clue".
Is he right?

    Hello
    Has anyone done this setup for the ERP E-Commerce B2B 5.0 scenario? The documentation is not clear as to how to perform the setup. I have seen other posts with regard to E-Commerce and a CRM backend but nothing related to the latest version of E-Commerce 5.0 for ERP Right now we are getting the following ‘Runtime Errors’:

    If anyone knows how to get a user-entered custom value from the item level to a custom java class, please let me know.
    I'm still looking into how to extend the quote and allow for the re-use of it, if all the quantity on the line item has not been exhausted.
    I can easily add a custom field to the header of a .jsp and access that user entered value by coding against the requestParser.
    Example: Parameter xxx = requestParser.getParameter("customerHeaderParm");
    But, when I add a customer parameter to the item level of the .jsp, I cannot leverage the same to code and get at the user entered value. The value comes back as null.
    The two files I am working with are as follows: orderstatusdetail.jsp and Z_DocumentStatusOrderQuotAction, which is an extension of the standard class, DocumentStatusOrderQuotAction.
    I am working with the requestParser within the ActionForward isaPerform() method of Z_DocumentStatusOrderQuotAction. I need to get to those item level values BEFORE the order is created from the quotation.

    Regards,
    Sagar

    Hi Sagar,
    Could you please check under data connection your connection string?
    It should be the SAP connection string.
    The format of the connection string:
    ASHOST=SAPONE SYSNR=02 USER=USERNAME PASSWD=welcome1 CLIENT=800
    SAPONE = SAP host name
    02 = system number
    USERNAME = username
    welcome1 = password
    800 = client number
    Also, maybe this is a permission issue, please double check that
    the user that you are accessing SAP with has the correct permissions.
    Give them SAP_ALL if nexessary to investigate.
    Hope this helps,
    kind Regards,
    Matthew

  • UWL workitem does not open ISRFormApprove application - isr/PCR - MSS BP

    We have configured the UWL based on the standard UWL config. guide. The standard itemtypes for MSS which launches the ISRFormApprove application (TS91000075) is part of the xml config. This was working properly when the ABAP stack and Java stack were on the same server (xR2DB1). At that time the ISR webdynpro applications were on the same server (xR2DB1). Now the ISR webdynpro applications are on the portal server (xE2DB1). When we try to open the workitem it looks for the application on xR2DB1 instead of xE2DB1. The error we get is

    We were able to resolve our issue.
    On our portal system we had to change the configuration of the system definition for the backend to use the WAS for the portal.
    System Configuration > System Landscape
    Pick your system definition
    Property Category: Web AS
    Description, Hostname, Path should be set appropriately for the portal.

    Hi All,
    While working on License Tab under configuration tab of SAP TAO 2.0.4.0, when I enter the details of Client,User Id,Password , Language and Click on Test SAP Connection, I have been getting below issue
    Cannot connect to system 5c.SolMan - SMD.
    Missing R3NAME =..or ASHOST=...in connect_param in Pfc OpenEx

    This seems to be a configuration issue.
    Check the new guide that was uploaded in http://service.sap.com/solutionmanager => Media Library => Documentation => HTML Help EN SAP Test Acceleration & Optimization 2.0 SP06
    If the issue persists
    - Start TAO Front End
    - Follow the note 1379094.
    - In the section 1.2 please also consider to switch the 'SAP RFC Trace Level' to ON. This will gather all the information on the RFC level to the backends.
    - Then stop SAP TAO Front end.
    - Start TAO again and reproduce the problem.

    Hi Experts,
    when opening the QueryDesigner i get the following error message after providing logon-data:
    "Missing R3NAME=... or ASHOST=... in connect_param in RfcOpenEx"
    Query Designer does not start after that. Any idea?

    I checked the mentioned services file with a colleague. Both are the same, but he can open BEx and I can not.
    It's just one of many BW systems that does not work. I am thinking about reinstalling SAP GUI.

  • Webdynpro Model import error - missing R3NAME or ASHOST

    Hello,
    We have a new NWDI setup for our portal development for ESS and MSS components.
    (NWDI 7.01 SP 05 and EP 7.01 SP05 and ECC 6.0 )
    I am trying to import a WD model (adaptive RFC) into an NWDI project and am getting the following error.
    I get this error after searching for the available FMs in the model import wizard, and when I am at the final screen.
    However, If I create a local project, I am able to import the model (same FM and same backend system) without any problem.
    I guess the problem is with only the NWDI projects and some thing to do with NWDI or SLD connection to the backend system.
    The JCo destinations are setup correctly and I have tried using a couple of different logical system names and there is no change.
    Does any one have any idea on what I am missing?
    Appreciate your response.
    Thanks,
    Shanti

    Hey Puneet,
    The problem seems to be more weird.
    The JCos are fine .... and I am infact using the same JCos in both the cases.
    I can not only import the model in a local project but also import the model in an NWDI project for a different DC.
    Somehow the problem is with creating the model in only one of the DCs in the ESS SC.(ess/quotas)
    Well, I finally went ahead and finished creating the project (ignoring the error I was getting) and the model works fine after import and deployment.
    At this point, I am not sure what the problem was but it does not impact my model at runtime. Every thing works fine as expected.
    This seems like a bug ... and the error is somehow showing up unnecessarily ...
    Thanks,
    Shanti

    Hi Mohamad,
    Your cds logs shows different errors however i have few questions here in terms of troubleshooting.
    1. Any search listings worked earlier or it never worked ?
    2. Have you properly imported the abap add-ons and transport pack ?
    3. Do you have any customizations in listings ?
    4. TREX is working fine, please confirm with Basis
    5. Have you imported and exported the build ?

  • Failure in Model Create Step: com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: Missing R3NAME=

    Hi,
    I am running NW04sp10 and am trying to connect my WebDynPro to my R/3 backend app server - am running through the FlightChecking example using DevStudio 2.0.10.
    Have successfully created my meta + app data JCo's, they test and ping OK from the Content Manager.  SLD is fine, connecting happily to the NW and R/3 boxes.  One is message server, one central instance.
    When the 'create model' wizard tries to build the java proxies though, it comes back with this:

    Can anyone help?
    Cheers guys,

    Hi Wael,
    I'm using the tutorial 'Handling Transactions with BAPIs in Web Dynpro' [part of SAP Online Help].
    The BAPI does work in se37, it's just a standard SAP delivered BAPI, and I've tried a few different ones to make sure it wasn't a BAPI specific problem.
    In the content admin I've navigated through the local/FlightChecking/Applications/FlightCheckingComp and then used the wizard to add the 2 JCOs [I've kept the default names for now after your previous advice]
    The data is like this:
    WD_MODELDATA_DEST:
    Name                  WD_MODELDATA_DEST
    Client                800
    J2EE Cluster Name     NW1 on chippy

    Password              <password>
    Application Server    chippy
    System name           NW1
    Logon Group           PUBLIC

    'Chippy'  SAP WebAS640 NW04 System ID NW1 ABAP+J2EE stack
    The JCOs 'test' and 'ping' successfully.  My WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST connection is to a message server, the WD_MODEL_DEST is to a central instance.
    Here's the full log from the create model wizard [I used a random BAPI for testing, BAPI_GET_PAYSLIP, so don't worry about that]:

    So it seems to actually be able to retrieve the metadata for the BAPIs, but not to make the relevant JCo's.  I've not gone on and completed the tutorial, assuming it won't work until I can sort out the above 'fatal' error.
    Thanks again for all of your good advice.
    Cheers,

  • Partner application configuration is missing error on SSO login page

    We have APEX 3.1.2 setup as a partner application and an application within APEX setup to use SSO for authentication. Following a link to the APEX application redirects to the Single Sign-On page, as it should, but it also shows "Error: The partner application configuration is missing or expired." I type in my password and username, click the Login button, and (if I entered my username and password correctly, of course!) then the APEX application is shown. So, I cannot figure out why we're getting the no_papp_err error and I have not found any solutions to that issue on Metalink or anywhere else on the Internet. Any ideas? I'm concerned that we have a misconfiguration somewhere that is causing this error and will affect any other partner application we setup in the future.
    We're on Oracle Portal 10.1.4, SSO 10.1.2, and SSL is setup on both infra and mid tiers.

    Did you try checking the partner application entries on the SSO-login server page?
    please login as orcladmin or some other user with membership in, i beleive, iasadmins group. verify that for this partner application, what you see here corresponds to the application URL. it looks like your login page call may have issues. so check for login url too.
    also check the ORASSO.WWSSO_LS_CONFIGURATION_INFO$ for entries corresponding to Apex application.

  • HT203167 A movie I purchased in the iTunes store is missing. It isn't hidden and doesn't show up in search. I've followed support steps.  Where is it and how do I find it?  I believe I originally purchased the film on my 1st Gen AppleTV.

    A movie I purchased in the iTunes store is missing. It isn't hidden and doesn't show up in search. I've followed support steps.  Where is it and how do I find it?  I believe I originally purchased the film on my 1st Gen AppleTV...other movies show up. Help.

    It was Love Actually. It's been in my library a few years but is now missing. It's odd...it isn't even in the iTunes Store anymore. I think there is a rights issue because a message appeared in the store saying it wasn't available at this time in the U. S. store. Still, if I bought it years ago it should be in my library or I should get a refund....
