Ask about import and instruction which i don't understand.

Hi,
I am very new to java. please help..
I want to run some example in some sites i found.
but some time i found that the sample requires or need me to download the included library in order to run the code successfully
while i don't know what, how and where to put that library.
i download it, and it in .jar type. , i also find the instruction like this : *"Please note that these packages must be on the classpath of your building environment."*
what that means actually ?, how to accomplish it ?
and what about that .jar file, i think it must be a collection of file (or class???) , because when i looked at the code, it contains some import commands. and that jar file is the required files to download.
please give me some brief n clear knowledge about this.

Startup asks for Username and Password - which we don't have

Our iMac G4 hard disk has failed and we've re-installed the Mac OX 4 system into our external drive. After installation the startup process asks for a username and password. We have never had to use a username and password on this computer and have no way of accessing what they could be. This means we cannot go any further and have to either shutdown or restart the computer (which just takes us back to username and password again). How do we circumvent this username and password?

It is presumably asking you to create a username and password so that it can make an admin account with them. There has to be at least one admin account: once you've got it up and running you can set it to auto-log in so that you don't need to enter the details every time you boot up. The previous installation must have had an admin account with a username and password, it's just that if it was set to auto-log-in you would only need it when installing new software. The new account doesn't have to have the same name as the old one, just invent something convenient: the username should be one word and lower-case.

No one here can help you, nor can/will Apple. If you don't know the Apple ID/Password that was originally used to activate this phone, you won't be able to re-activate it. And, if the previous owner tells you that he/she doesn't know it, you're out of luck. You simply won't be able to use the phone for anything other than a paperweight.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset.
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 . Please follow these steps in order to get it working properly again.
Please change your Apple ID back to your old email address (that you used as Apple ID before) here:http://appleid.apple.com
Then go to all your devices - iPhones, iPads, Mac etc. - ("Settings > iCloud") and delete your iCloud account from this devices (+ turn off Find My iPhone, but I guess it will ask you that anyway)
After that go back to http://appleid.apple.com sign in again, and now change your Apple ID again to your new email address.
Finally, set up your iCloud account on all your devices again.
Now, everything should working properly again.

If you have an existing ID, & you don't want to use a credit card, you'll have to redeem an iTunes gift card. If you don't want to do that, you'll have to create a new ID by following the directions here, EXACTLY:

Confused about import and export formats

I have a load of 8mm video footage that I want to archive before the old camera dies. As a first step I have used my DVD/HDD recorder attached to my TV to save the footage from the camera, do a little bit of editing and then burn onto DVD at the highest quality available. Doing this I can get 60 mins of footage onto each DVD and the quality is a good as the original. I now want to play with a few of these by importing into iMovie 09 so that I can add a few titles and link clips together with a few transitions. Nothing too complicated. Here's where I get a bit lost with all the formats available to me for importing and exporting. What's the best way of doing this? Having read around a bit it looks like conversion to DV is good for getting into iMovie in the first place. To do this I have tried using MPEG Streamclip and it looks OK, but what about all of the settings options DV25, DVCPRO25, DVCPRO50, frame blending, downscaling etc etc no idea what any of this means. Then having added a few bits and pieces, what's the best way of saving it again to make sure that I keep the quality as high as possible - DV? Ultimately I'd like to have the edited movies back on DVDs with the footage quality the same as I started with i.e. no compression artefacts. If I save the final version in DV format I could then keep copies to view with Quicktime and then do I just use iDVD or MPEG Streamclip to convert to a format playable on a DVD player. Is there any guide somewhere as to what all of the different formats are for pro.s cons etc. Also confused as to why files get bigger and bigger e.g. a 20min clip on a DVD is about 1.5GB, but when converted to DV becomes almost 5GB. I can understand how compression makes files sizes smaller, but what's happening here??

To do it, open iMovie, pick you project, then "Share to Media Browser" and pick the "HD" setting. It can take hours/movie depending on their length. Once it is done you can find it inside the iMovie project's file. TO get there, go to Users Folder -> your User name folder -> Movies -> iMovie projects -> and find the project that you made the movie from. Right click on that file (or use the control key as you click on the file) and you will see a menu -> Show Package contents -> Movies and your 720p .mov movie will be in that Movie folder. you can drag it to your desktop and copy it to your external HD or flash drive.

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Asking about import javagently

Hi, I will like to ask about the import javagently package. When i tried to compile my program in jcreator ,the compiler will give me an msg saying :
E:\test.java:7: package javagently does not exist

So how do i find the javagently package ?? What is this package for ??

It should be on the cd that comes with the book. To be able to give you more information I would have to get that book and read it, I'm sure it says what you should do be able to use that package.

I have a new iPad2 16GB+3G. ( Only got this yesterday.) I have set up a wireless router so am able to use WiFi at home. When I attempt to set up a cellular data connection (ATT) I get to the "view account" which asks for my login ID and password, which of course I do not have yet because I haven't set up an account yet. How do I get to a "set up account" screen?

I'm taking that this is a used iPad. Have you removed the microSIM and got one of your own?
Also, have you cleared it out with Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings?
And if that does not work you may need to contact the cell provider.

Please take these steps to restore administrator privileges to your account. This somewhat tedious procedure is only necessary if you've confirmed that no administrator account exists on the system.
If you don't already have a current backup of all your data, you must back up before taking any of the steps below. Ask if you need guidance. You won't need the backup unless something goes wrong—which is always possible.
Step 1
Start up in Recovery mode. The OS X Utilities screen will appear.
Step 2
Take this step only if you use FileVault 2. Launch Disk Utility, then select the icon of the FileVault startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main screen.

At the login screen, click Other... Enter "root" (without the quotes) in the Name field, and enter the password you set in Step 3 in the Password field. You should now be logged in as root. This is a potentially dangerous condition. Do nothing while logged in as root except as indicated below. You'll be fine as long as you don't deviate from the plan.
Open the Users & Groups preference pane. Select your usual administrator account in the list of users and check the box marked
          Allow user to administer this computer
You'll be prompted to restart. Do that and log in as yourself—not as root. Your administrator status should now be restored.
Step 6 (optional, but recommended)
Follow the instructions in this support article under the heading "Disable the root user." You must authenticate in Directory Utility as "root" with the password you set in Step 3. Authenticating as another administrator won't work.

When I open up Calendar it asks about adding and event and gives me the option to choose a calendar, or I can click on cancel. If I choose cancel, the window pops right back up. If I click continue thousands of imports start opening...Calendar freezes.

Can't update apps. I have reset my Apple ID to my new e mail address but when I try to download or update apps. my old, no longer functioning one, automatically comes up asking me for a password, which I don't know and can't have sent to that ID!

I used to have my old work e mail address as my Apple ID but have now changed it to my new one, had all of the verification e mails and everything. However, when I try to download or update my apps, my original ID comes up and I can't log in. Can't remember my original passowrd and can't have a reminder sent to the original e mail as it no longer exists..... help!

Any content is tied to the account that you used to buy/download it - so if you created a new account as opposed to updating the existing one, then you will need to use the old account to download updates to its apps. Can you not update your old account so as to have a new email address on it (e.g. via this page) ?

I have a question regarding a small blue question mark instead of photo, I asked about this and was directed to a question about text edit, which, by the way, a neighbour helped with.
