Had to change Apple ID due to email address no longer valid. Trying to change id for icloud...saw direction online about signing out of icloud and signing back in...when it ask questions about contacts, photos, etc. being deleted how do I answer those? That just sort of freaks me out.

For the ones that give you an option, select the option you want (keep on the Mac or Delete). For the ones that are simply warning you, click on Delete from Mac.
They will all come back when you sign back on, since all you did was change your existing Apple ID to a new email address. It's the same iCloud account, just with a different name.
It's the only way to get your updated ID signed onto iCloud.

of course you do need to have in depth knowledge about JSE as such knowledge will be assumed (after all, you did have to pass SCJP to be able to enlist for SCWCD).
So the subjects may turn up in questions, but they won't be the things you're tested on.

It's a problem that Apple is having with their App updating system. The best solution is to be patient, and wait for Apple to solve their systemic problem.

Question about asp access

Hi.
I'm trying to get information from a MS Access database to a Java applet. I think the easiest way to do this is to use ASP. I got the asp page working to access the database and print its contents but I have no idea how the applet can access that information. I know nothing about asp and got the connection code from a tutorial. Can anyone tell me how I can access the information from a Java applet?

It's just the response from the service, and also the way to actually get the service (URL) to be invoked. Of course, for updating the database, you're probably going to want to pass the service something, telling it what to update. Passing it something is done (or can be done, as one way) by putting the information on the URL, like:
http://some/path/update.asp?key=abc&newValue...

E3500 asking questions about an E10000 platform

I just installed Solaris 9 on an E3500, now when it boots, I get the prompt "You must specify what type of processor modules you have installed in your Enterprise-10000 platform..." It wants me to specify a CPU speed for an E10K. boot doesn't wont continue unless I do so. I remember an option during the install that asked if this server was going to be part of an E10K group (sorry, I don't remember the exact wording), but I know I selected "no". Any help is greatly appreciated.

It looks like you added the entire contents of the Supplemental CD which includes Sun Service Processor (SSP) packages that control the E10K. Boot -s and remove packages that begin with SUNWss.... You may want to do a pkginfo -l <packagename> before you remove it just to be sure. If you started the install with the Installation CD you have to be real careful with the Add Additional Software option. You could begin the install with CD 1 of 2 and then add only additional after Solaris install has completed.

My husband and I share the same I cloud. I want to create a new I cloud for his I phone but it keeps wanting to ask questions about my apple ID and password. I don't want to change my apple ID or password. How can I set him up a new account w/o changing

My husband and I have been sharing an I cloud account. He can't update his phone due to our shared account. I want to get him a new account and was told to delete the current I cloud account off his phone and just create a new one. The problem is that it wants to keep accessing the old one. I don't want my I cloud account changed. I don't know what to do. Any advice?

Did he have find my iPhone enabled under that iCloud account? If so, add the account back to his phone. Then in the iCloud account settings, disable find my iPhone first (you will be prompted for your password), then remove the account.
Now you can create or add a new iCloud account to it using his own AppleID.
Alternatively, you could log in to your www.icloud.com account in a web browser. Using the find my iPhone app there, remove his iPhone from your list of associated devices (he will have to power his iPhone off for you to do that).
After his iPhone is set up for his own iCloud account, on your iPhone, go to
settings->iCoud->Storage & Backup->Manage Storage and delete his iPhone's backup file to make more room on your own iCloud storage account.

We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
Only you will know what your email address is, nobody else will. If you can't remember it then do you have any of the account's downloads in your computer's iTunes library : Recovering a forgotten iTunes Store account name ?
If not then see if you can find it via http://appleid.apple.com : Apple ID: How to find your Apple ID.
When you've remembered or found your email address then you can get its password reset via http://iforgot.apple.com

Where can I ask questions about manipulating LOBs?

I'm interested in finding best practices for working with LOBs. i.e. Optimization, when to avoid, how to get around them, etc. Some of our operations are very slow when it comes to LOBs.

Is this the proper forum to ask questions about the Photoshop Express app?

I had an iPod that I had downloaded the free app Photoshop Express. I then got an iPhone 4 and put the app on that. While it was on the 4 I purchased the pack for 4.99 the advanced pack, and I also bought the Reduce Noise and De-Fog functions. I now have gotten an iPhone 5 and I have been trying to Restore those Purchases but it will not actually do it. I have deleted the app, signed out of my Apple ID, that didn't work. I then signed into my boyfriend's Apple ID (sometimes I am signed in under his ID to buy apps when I don't have enough on my debit card). That also didn't work though. I am at my wit's end. Can I have a refund or get those features to work?

Questions about using a PDF form online

I have a client who wants to create an online version of a PDF form that they are currently using. I am currently trying to explain to them that this would be best done as an HTML web form, but I may not win this argument. I have only used PDFs for printed forms (either hand-written or using form fields) so I am not familiar with any problems that converting the form for use online would entail.
When the 'Submit' button is pressed on the form, is there a way to redirect to another web page after the data is submitted? (i.e. does the PDF have access to it's outer 'environment'?)
Are there any security issues submitting data using the PDF form as opposed to using a standard web form? (There may be sensitive data being submitted)
I'm not sure how they plan to handle the data that is submitted, but there are several options in the submitForm parameters - I am assuming that using the HTML option would submit the data in the same format as a web form would. Am I correct here?
Can the PDF be prevented from being downloaded or printed? This form should only be used to submit data to their server, not as a printed form.
Are there any other 'gotchas' that I need to look out for? Does anyone have a recommendation for a site which contains any tutorials or guidelines for using PDF forms online?

Yes, I agree that there is less reason for it to be a PDF form (Actually, no real reason other than the original form already exists in PDF), but I am unfortunately in the position that my input in this project is not necessarily being considered (my company is following direct -and inconsistent- directions from the client, and I have no contact with the client to ask questions about what their actual needs are). I have been told to give the client the 'Tomato' that they are asking for, even though they are describing an 'Apple'.
The reason this form is not meant to be printed is that we have replaced the 'Signature' fields from the original form with checkboxes that the user must check to confirm they have 'signed' the document. If they are to print/fax/whatever the document, they should use the original form, not this one. And I am still trying to explain to them that this would be better served with an HTML web form, but I fear I am losing that battle.
I have brought up the fact that it is not 100% guaranteed that Acrobat will be available in the browser, although I can only guess that it is less than likely that anyone will not have some sort of PDF viewer available to their browser.
I will also mention that issues may arise if the file is not submitted from within the browser.

Video sound and picture on tv.. question about burning to DVD

I finally got the picture to show up on the TV. I went into video, settings and turned on the TV out setting. Now I wonder if I can burn the itunes shows I bought onto a dvd?
Will this be a backup copy incase my computer dies or will I be able to watch this on a dvd player too?
Anyone know if I should put the shows on a dvd and if I can watch them on my dvd player then?

Questions about Leopard

First of all, I've watched the WWDC keynote at least 4 times now, and I can't wait for leopard to come out. However, I've got a couple concerns. I don't want boot camp on my mac. Does anyone know if you can un-install it (I would think that it should be possible). I don't want anything at all to do with windows. I've also heard some rumors about parallels being on Leopard. First, I don't know too much about parallels. But what I do know (and think to be correct), is that parallels allows you to run windows apps on a mac without having to use bootcamp, and the windows os. My quesiton about parallels is really, what are the pro's and con's of having it on your system? Thanks in advance for your help.

Unless Boot Camp drastically changes from now until release, it merely enables those with Windows installation CDs to install Windows on their Macs. It does not enable Windows applications to run on their own without Windows being installed. For that you need WINE or CrossOver to be installed presently. Parallels is like Boot Camp but without the need to have a separate boot to install Windows applications (only an enclosed boot that runs side by side with Mac OS X), and without the need to partition your hard disk to install Windows which Boot Camp presently does.
Ignore rumors. No one really knows what will be on Leopard except developers who have signed a non-disclosure agreement. They would be breaking their agreement posting here. The Terms of Use on the right specifically forbid us from discussing unreleased products or rumors. Please read them more carefully, and don't ask questions about Leopard which are not answered on http://www.apple.com/macosx/
