So, I saw the announcement of the 'live event' with interest....until I read the small print.
Hey, say what you want about BT...and I usually do....but at least they're predictable...
To quote,

As normal....you mean we(customers) should continue to be the only 'real' source of support for YV in particular, and tbh, anything technical in general.
So what is this then would be the next question...or, to be blunt, what's the point of it?
As the forum for technical help...from USERS...we don't need to know HOW to do things....just why we can't do them, why things don't work as expected and when, hopefully, things will be addressed....but that's banned, right?
So it's a digital sales call, then? Seems that way.....especially when you look at who two of the 'experts' are.....hmmmm, really???
Maybe one day BT will grow a spine and then we can have some productive, intelligent and forthright discussion...maybe, hey who knows....with some prospect of resolutions??? Until then I for one shall be 'busy'. No doubt the fanboys on here will provide enough of the 'right' questions.....think of it as a Tory MP at Question Time....
And in case you think I'm one of the multitude who seem to hate everything about YV...I'm not. Far from it, I actually think it's a very promising product and already a good start...my box has very few hiccups (I can't even call them problems, tbh)...it's, as usual with BT....the support and attitude that I think fails abysmally....
One last think for those of you who still think I'm anti-BT for no reason; over the last 19yrs I have been a BT customer on and off, from my days of shared house at Uni to owning my own places....and I'm currently three and oh as our American cousins would say when it comes to winning cases against BT through arbitration.....
If you look at the YV forums you will see a much more frank and honest set of threads where problems are admitted to - in most cases - and areas for improvement actually collated together on a couple of stickies.....not ignored, swept under the carpet or denied....

As I read it, they don't want questions such as "my Youview box has broken, when are you going to send somebody round to fix it?" as they are of no interest to other customers.
That doesn't mean you can't talk about general issues with the platform as a whole.

HT4168 epub: I'd like to create chapters for the TOC but don't want the new chapter to begin on a new page. I'd like it to begin on the same page as the prior chapter. How can I do that?

How can I do this? I currently have my TOC chapters listed as Apples, Oranges, and so on. But my text chapters begin something like this:

I have "Apples" with header 1, "Oranges" with header 1, etc., so that very nicely in the TOC it is listing my topics as the chapters. However, within the body of the document, 1 appears on one page and "Apples" begins at the top of a new page, separated from "1"; 2 appears one one page and "Oranges" appears at the top of the next page (separated from the "2), and so on.
Because of the way the book is structured, I need to have the chapter numbers on a top line and the chapter topic beneath it. (The book is further subdivided, such as 1.3a, 1.3b, etc.)
What I would like is for the TOC to indicate my chapters as Apples, Oranges, etc., but for the chapter text to begin as indicated above.
How can I do this? Thanks.

Peter, I styled the wording of the chapter title (e.g. apples) with my heading1 styling and my sub-chapter titles were heading2. The text is a different font, different color, different size, different everything. It seems that the epub program has an automatic format to start a new page with each new header. That's what I'm trying to work around. (Originally I styled both the numeral and the chapter title as "heading 1" and it gave each a different page!)
I am in the process of removing all headers and styling everything manually (which is how it was originally) just to avoid this problem.
I'm having my e-book done through a publisher (this will be self-published), so I'll be giving them a .docx and they'll convert it to .html (filtered) then .epub. so I need something that creates my Table of Contents as I'd like it, without messing up the text of the book.
I can give them a list of what I want in the Table of Contents, and have them manually do it, but the TOC may or may not come out how I want it to come out. My preference is to have something automatic. I wanted the sub-units (heading 2) in the TOC but that will never work since I have over 200 of them and it's too much for them to do manually. It's a very slow process.

Firefox loads, icon is on task bar but when clicked the graphics slide off to the right but don't fill the screen & when clicked again, falls back into the icon

Firefox, Thunderbird & Quicken were active when I loadad & ran a slot machine game. When I exited the game & clicked the icon to return Firefox to full screen, I could see the image flash off to the right side of my monitor screen and disappear. When I again clicked on the icon in the task bar, the reverse happened- the image flashed from the right down to the icon. When I hover the mouse pointer over the icon, the open screens show up with the red X to close but the same thing happens when I click on that box. The other two programs that were open while the game was active are working fine, only Firefox has been affected. I cannot open the program to access any of the menu items as I cannot get the screen image on the monitor. I did uninstall the program and reinstall a freshly downloaded copy I had to use IE, as I am now) but with the same results when I run it. I did chose to save my settings so if something has been changed there then that might be the problem.

Outbound Dialer calls the client but don't call the agent

Hi all,
I have a strange problem with Outbound Option in UCCE 7.5(6).
I have configured "PREVIEW_ONLY" in admin script. The behavior is below:
- the campain starts;
- I can see the call in "CTI Toolkit outbound desktop"(here I don;t see any call to agent's phone);
- I am pressing "Accept";
- The system calls the client;
- The "client" answers the call;
- I don't have any call to agent's phone.
What could be the problem here?I verified the VIP's CSS. The dialer ports can dial in the agent's partition.

My iPod isn't showing the videos on VEVO nor Youtube. They open and play the sound but don't show the video. What should I do?

I haven't had this problem before, but when I open Youtube or VEVO and play a video it doesn't play the flash video. However, the sound plays fine. Is there some update I need to download to solve this problem? What should I do ?

Hi,
Initially your music should be in your iTunes library on your computer. Once match completes its scan, your music will have been matched or uploaded. I suggest that you add iCloud status column to song view. This will tell you what has been matched, uploaded, purchased, inelligible, duplicate or waiting. What is the status of your tracks that are not playing.
If space is not an issue, I suggest that you keep the music on the internal hard drive otherwise you can delete the tracks and play from cloud. In both instances, you should maintain a back up of all your music on a separate hard drive.

Try this:
1. Open "Finder", then navigate to "Movies" on the left side. Click on "iMovie Projects"
2. Move desired movies and clips to trash, or your flash drive.
*PS* Its dangerous to have a full hard drive, I would recommend either trashing, or transferring files to another computer. Trash applications you no longer use as well.

Did you download it to iTunes?
If so, connect your iPhone to your computer and open iTunes. Click on your iPhone and navigate to the Tones tab. Be sure to click in the box next to Sync Tones and mark the ones you want on your phone. Then click on the Apply button and you should be all set. Once your iPhone finishes syncing, open your iPhone and choose settings > sounds > Ringtone. In the listing of possible ringtones you should see the ones you just added at the top of the list. Tap the one you want to use for your main ringer and it is a done deal.

there are three displays in photos page:
1) thumbnails grid - smallest
2) deatial view and detail view slideshow - large
3a) pop-up slideshow - vary - this is slideshow.html
3b) or iphone/ipad slideshow phoneshow.html - iphone/ipad can't do pop-up
it's difficult to know which you refer to.
if you refer to pop-up slideshow then you should not look into iwebmediagrid.js as wyodor suggested.
instead look in phoneshow.html and change width and heigth of element id slideshow:

"is mine and I would like it removed from the Music Store". I see "remove a podcast" but that is all. My problem is that I published my first podcast from iWeb and would like to replace it with another one. I published a new one from iWeb but the information displayed in iTunes is for the old one. If I subscribe to the "old" one I actually do get the new one. I may only need to edit my RSS file but how do I do this from iWeb? I hope you can help as I have been going around in circles trying to correct this problem

When I ask Siri to play a song it goes to the song but won't play the song

when I ask Siri to play a song it goes to the song but won't play the song. The song shows when I open the music app, but the bar does not move and there is no sound. Even if I hit pause then play nothing happens. If I go back to the playlists and select another playlist or song then music plays.

After doing and changing EVERYTHING on that page, I ended up re-installing Quicktime by itself and finally that solved the problem. Thank you for the advice page though, it had a lot of good information on it that related to my problem.
