I currently have a basic phone but I would like to switch to a smart phone. I don't have an upgrade right now and none of the other phones on the plan have an upgrade either (4 phones in total, 2 smart phones and 2 basic). Installed a new update iTunes Saturday - My file directory could not be found, so I reset the directory path, and 'it' asked me if I would like 'it' to re organise my filing, foolishly (as a beginner, without checking) I selected yes - Many tunes have been duplicated, some have disappeared? Trawled through lots of misleading help files, mailed friends, tried many back routes into Apple web sites and they all wasted my time. Can anyone help?
I have discovered since then, that this resorce has been down over the weekend, which probably explains why I have had so many contradictory responses, so apologies if you all know what the prolem is.
My question is, my TIME MACHINE (which has not been used yet) was tried but looked nothing like that of the U Tube demo, so I am assuming that it needs setting up, however, it has been saving, I just do not know how to recover the data. Can anyone help?

Cyfrommayo(If you have a Time Machine backup, go to your User folder/Music/iTunes and select iTunes. Enter Time Machine and go to a backup of iTunes before the above happened. Then select 'Restore' on the bottom right.)

I think you may be confusing a different legend with lack of 3G. There are other types of cellular connectivity besides 3G. Its very possible its using something else. If you have internet access through Safari, and can get messages through iMessage then you have functional connectivity. Whether it be 3G or something else. -

When I open files in "dropbox", which uses a file sharing through the internet, it creates "conflicting copies" and it is because of this saving instead of opening issue as far as I know. I never had the problem before.

Because there are many personnel wifi networks around. It seems that most households have one. The assign a password for two main reason;
- To not allow other users to steal their internet connection

What is your budget and what equipment do you already own?
There is an app in the app store which lets you use your iPhone or ipod touch as a camera, and your Mac as a remote web viewing device. The App is free, but obviously has constraints. First, you occupy your ipod (or phone) for as long as you are using it, and you had best be plugged into power too.
The Apple Online store has a product called iBaby ($200.00) which is a baby monitor, with remote control panning and other controls.
I saw at a "Brick and Mortar" Apple store another type of baby monitor that they sell, which I will be examining more closely myself, as I am in the market for something like this.
Also, you can look at less expensive dedicated web cams by Logitech and Cisco.
Bottom line is that there are numerous options, but qualifying your question with the phrase "What is the Best way" is awfully open-ended.
Are you looking for the most cost effective?
Do you need sound?
Is money no object (The very best way)?
What kind of bandwidth will you have at both ends?
What equipment do you now have, and want to dedicate to either side? (obviously you have an MBA) anything else?
Will you be needing a wireless camera/device, or will you be hooking up to Ethernet on the source end?
Do you need panning or other remote functions? -

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
Changing the rescue email address requires supplying two of the answers. They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

(Composite is the red, white and yellow RCA plugs on your TV or red, white and S-Video plugs.)
You'll also need audio cables to the TV using a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack to RCA sound plugs or a 3.5mm stereo input plug for audio with the Composite. You attach it from the headphone jack of your MacBook to the appropriate audio input plugs on your TV.
If you connect the MacBook using a Mini-DVI to HDMI adapter you will probably need to use external speakers or a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack to RCA sound plugs connected to a stereo system for audio if your TV doesn't have separate RCA input plugs or a 3.5mm stereo input plug for audio with the HDMI plug. The Mini-DVI to HDMI doesn't carry audio and there're no audio plugs on most TVs to work with HDMI since it's expecting audio with the HDMI. -
I'm setting up my new iPhone and already have an iTunes account. It's asking me if I would like to set up as a new iPhone, or Restore from the backup of my iTouch. If i set up as a new iPhone will that delete all my music from my previous iTunes account?
