Asking for advice_my laptop show blank screen_
My laptop powers on seems like it would be perfectly fine then after the screen that has the windows loading and it's supposed to take you to the user names to log on, my screen just goes blank but its still on? Can someone please help me, I'm in school and need my laptop for most of my classes, I also use it with my 4 year.

Not being asked for credentials in SSRS 2008 R2 for Firefox and Safari
I have an instance of SSRS 2008 that is currently working on all browsers (the URL is something like reports.foo/reports).
I spun up a new instance of SSRS and placed it on the url report01.foo/reports. This new instance is connected to a different domain (I am spining up a Active Directory Domain and trying to build out our infrastructure, so the logins are different).
I am able to access the new URL (report01.foo/reports) from IE and Chrome. It is asking for the username/password and able to get on just fine.
However, when I try to go to the new URL (report01.foo/reports) using Safari and Firefox, it never asks for credentials and shows a blank page. This does not happen for the old URL (reports.foo/reports), only the new URL.
Any ideas?Hi Ben,
Per my understanding that you have configured windows authentication and which by default will not prompt for credential. So I assumed you have changed the User Authentication setting in the security setting to pop up for credential, for example like below(IE),
If so, your issue about the pop up credetial not pop up in Firefox and Safari can be caused by the related security setting, If you give Anonymous User rights, you may got the blank page:

My MacBook Pro shows the logo in a white screen when I ask for a Software Update under the apple. Actually it stays blank on Featured, Top Charts, Categories and Purchases as well. What up? Thanks.
I am having exactly the same problem right now. After some research, it looked like my HD was toast. I replaced it today, that part was easy, but now I cannot seem to use my original Install Disk to format the new HD. I get a grey restart screen, or if I get to the Language Selection screen, my cursor is frozen in left corner and I can't use it.
Very frustrating, hope someone else has some ideas!
PS My MacBook was about same age, and "expired" in exactly the same way as yours. -
I bought Lion and downloaded it on my laptop. Apple tech said I could install it on family computer without buying again, they said it could be on 5. I just tried to install on my daughter's and was asked for my billing info again. How do I install on family computers without having to pay again?
Your other computers must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed. You open App Store and sign in using the same Apple ID used to purchase Lion. Click on the Purchases icon in the toolbar. You should now see an active Install button to the right of the entry for your Lion purchase.
Here's a tip:
Make Your Own Lion Installer
1. After downloading Lion you must first save the Install Mac OS X Lion application. After Lion downloads DO NOT click on the Install button. Go to your Applications folder and make a copy of the Lion installer. Move the copy into your Downloads folder. Now you can click on the Install button. You must do this because the installer deletes itself automatically when it finishes installing Lion.
2. Get a USB flash drive that is at least 8 GBs. Prep this flash drive as follows:
Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
3. Locate the saved Lion installer in your Downloads folder. CTRL- or RIGHT-click on the installer and select Show Package Contents from the contextual menu. Double-click on the Contents folder to open it. Double-click on the SharedSupport folder. In this folder you will see a disc image named InstallESD.dmg.
4. Plug in your freshly prepared USB flash drive. You are going to clone the InstallESD.dmg disc image to the flash drive as follows:
Open Disk Utility.
Select the USB flash drive from the left side list.
Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
Check the box labeled Erase destination.
Select the USB flash drive volume from the left side list and drag it to the Destination entry field.
Drag the InstallESD.dmg disc image file into the Source entry field.
Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
When the clone is completed you have a fully bootable Lion installer that you can use without having to re-download Lion. -

I Installed AirPort Extreme 3 computers work fine. I am trying to use my old sony laptop. It is asking for a network key. I entered wpa2. I also tried my password. What should I do?
Which wireless security type did you configure your AirPort Extreme with? You basically have two choices: WPA Personal or WPA2 Personal. There are actually others, but these are the most common in use today.
What version of Windows is the Sony laptop running and which service pack level is it at? Do you know what wireless security types that this laptop's wireless can support? -

It sounds like the apps were purchased using your dads account, so they will have to be updated using that account.

It shows me 5 or so emails when asking for the id and password. Even if I enter mine, it will not work. Seems like a virus or something. This pops up every 3 minutes or so
There are no viruses.
My work email does this every now and then. I've never found the solution but suspect occasional problems at my work computers. This happens on my Mac. -
Hi, I need help and advice. Basically me and my ex partner both had iphones and synced it with the same computer under the same ID. We split up and now im trying to get all my apps and info onto my new laptop with a new account but it keeps asking me for the old apple ID which she is still using and she changed the password. i tried backing it up but still nohing. When i try to back up purchased items being apps etc its keeps asking for the old one. help
See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device. But you'll still need the password.
Once you have the computer authorized to use the account she could change the password again to stop you buying apps on her card (assuming it's not on yours!). It would lock you out of upgrading them too but they should work unless she uses the deathorize all feature.
It depends on how amicable the split is...

Somebody pleaseeeeeee help!!! I have just done the latest iOS 7 update beacuse I have such little space I do it through iTunes on my partner laptop, it failed halfway through and I had to start it again it completed the second time and had to restore my iPhone which I backed up before starting. Now it's all done I am trying to access my App Store and it asks for my partners password to sign... I have gone to settings and everything is signed in as me. How can I change this???

I purchased the movie "Black Nativity" at midnight and selected to download later; it shows that the movie has been charged in my account for billing, however; I when I go to download the movie, it ask for it to be purchased versus download. I would like to know if I will be charged again for the movie upon selecting purchase movie? I would like some direction as for how to download the movie that I already purchased.
Clicking on its purchase price again may result in you being charged again. Does the Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option download it

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.

I am trying to download whatsapp on my iphone 4. It asks for my apple id and password and when I sign in , it gets me to a page that says redeem ...when I hit redeem it shows I have a $14 balance in my account and asks for a code - I tried entering the itunes card number...it says it has already been used. Since updating my iPhone 3GS on my friends laptop, it keeps asking for her iTunes Id not mine. When I log onto a computer it comes up with my Id but from my phone it's my friends. I don't have an option to change the user Id when it pops up either. So I can't update my apps, download songs or games now as it will charge my friend

The app store on my laptop is asking for my husband's apple id and password to update my apps, but he is not a user on my computer. How do I change that? The apple id email is grayed out, so I cannot select it.
