Asking for Device Manager to be installed...

I have just installed BB Desktop Software. Never had a problem before, but a dialog comes up saying: Application Loader Wizard requires BlackBerry Device Manager to be installed. Call customer support for assistance. Help!

Since there seems to be so much going on, I suggest the following steps (insert plenty of reboots of your PC...not just restarts, but full power down reboots). Also, it is advised that you be logged into the PC on an account with full admin rights. Further, under Vista, use the "Run As Administrator" option for everything.
1) Remove your device OS update package from your PC (add/remove programs)
2) Cleanly uninstall the RIM DTM software:
KB02206 How to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software
3) Get a fresh download of the RIM DTM software:
https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22
Choose the version that is newest and (if applicable) compatible with your PIM (if you are synchornizing via USB):
KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager for synchronization
4) Download (to your PC) a fresh copy of your device OS package from your carrier:
http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
5) Install DTM to your PC
6) Install (also to your PC), the device OS package
7) Start whatever you were attempting over again.

try this and see if it works: connect your iPhone and open up iTunes on your PC. Go to your phone's page. Under Summary page, check manually manage music and videos.

The hard drive is not formatted, and it must be formatted in "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" in order to install OS X.
Close the OS X installer, and go to Utilities menu (on the menu bar) > Disk Utility. Then, format your hard drive in "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" as Format > http://pondini.org/OSX/DU1.html Finally, close Disk Utility and install OS X

Ipod 5th Generation 80 GB / Device Manager / Driver not Installed / Code 28

Well, where do I begin! Got my 1st Ipod 2 days ago & still unable to use it! I have installed & uninstalled the itunes 7 software numerous times. On phone w/ Apple for 1 hour...followed by online chat help w/ Dell.
I've tryed 4 different USB ports on my computer. The device Manager shows the Ipod w/ a ? and a ! in yellow. The add new hardware tells me, "Drivers for this device are not installed. Code 28." My computer reconizes that the ipod is plugged in, but will not do anything. There is no communication between the 2. Keeps telling me to insert cd for software for ipod.
Help! Does seem that other people are having similar issues. I think a software cd should of been provided w/ the ipod....not sure if that would of corrected my problem.

Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run. the Run dialog appears,
Type %temp%, then click OK.
locate and enter into the HP Installation temporary folder, start with the 7Z characters.
If you can see several folders starting with 7Z, locate the latest one.
Click the Address bar area, then the full address path will appear,
Copy the full path location by clicking CTRL + P while the path is selected.
Enter the Device Manager.
Right click the printer name with the error mark, then click Update Driver.
Select the second option to manually locate the driver.
Paste the temporary folder path and click Next (Keep Include Sub Fulders marked), the driver should be updated.

Devices Not Showing Up in Device Manager After WinXP Install

I installed Windows XP Professional CD after re-formatting and partitioning the hard drive in my ThinkPad T42 (2378-FVU).
After finishing the install and running Windows Update for an eternity, Device Manager still can't detect several items. (I was able to get my wireless networking to work after installing a driver from Intel.) These are the "Other Devices" in yellow listed in Device Manager:
- Ethernet Controller
- PCI Modem
- Video Controller (VGA Compatible)
Yes, I dutifully downloaded and installed these and other device drivers from Lenovo's website.
Why doesn't WinXP SP3 detect my devices?!?
I saw other posts about a WinXP Pro install on T41 Thinkpads with the same problem. The recommended solution was to install the device drivers "twice." I'm sorry, but I don't understand what that means, twice? The solution also seemed to indicate that the install is supposed to be done at two different locations. But, only one path is listed in the solution and my drivers are installed in the solutions' paths.
Hopefully, someone can be more explicit about how to do the driver installations twice.

The other path is C:\DRIVERS\WIN....the first setup tells you the exact location if you pay attention.

Inncorrect password for device manager?

I'm typing in the correct device manager password and it is saying its inncorrect how do i fix this?

There is not a 'fix'. You must enter the correct password or after ten incorrect attempts, the BlackBerry will wipe itself of all personal data, contacts, messages, etc.
PERHAPS, (because your question is somewhat common) you initially entered your password on your BB and the SHIFT or ALT key was pressed at the time, so try entering with those options.
If not, return to your BB and enter the PW and be cognizant of how you do it to confirm. If you press an alpha key a bit long, it will be capitalized, and perhaps one of yours is which you don't have capitalized when entering in Desktop Manager.

Asking for disc 2 on Tiger install

Hi,
I have a 1.8mhz G5 with 10.3.9 and tried upgrading to Tiger. Bought the disk from apple store. upgrade/install seemed to go fine. restarted but opened with installer again asking for disc 2. there was only 1 disc. I don't understand. I tried inserting my iLife 06 disk. didn't work. the screen said I wanted to install things that required disc 2. I opted for an Easy Install upgrade. HELP! My computer is stuck in this limbo. I can't even quit Installer.

Is the disk marked CD or DVD on it?
Is it a black disk label with gray and white X logo on it?

IWork install asking for serial number even though installed from disc set

Ok so two days ago I bought a MacBook Pro from Best Buy. It was one of those open package deals. Anyhow the MacBook was missing the software. I decided it might be a good idea to buy the Mac Box Set at the local Apple Store because I might need the OS disc at some point and I thought why not upgrade my iMac while I'm at it. So I went to an Apple Store and bought the Mac Box Set
I install Snow Leopard. I then install iLife. Lastly I install iWork. Sort of. Seems the first two are fine but when I click to open any of the iWork apps it ask for me to insert a serial number. I did a search and discovered there was a trial version of iWork 08 on here so I deleted it and the current instal. The reinstalled. Still same issue.
What should I do if it is still asking for a serial number?
And just incase anyone is wondering if I have the disk....

Satellite Pro L300-23L: error code 12 in device manager after Vista install

Ok,
So I've re-installed Vista (32 w/ SP2) on my Satellite L300-23L after a virus and I'm having a couple of issues:
Issue 1
A Code 12 on Intel Family Chipset 4 - There are two versions of this in the device manager, one is hidden. The one that isn't hidden is the one with the Code 12. I've tried installing latest drivers from both Toshiba and Intel. Problem still persists.
Issue 2
The sleep option on my power off section is greyed out and the hibernate option is missing altogether. Have tried upgrading BIOS but install says that they are up to date.
HELP! - I can find my way around a computer but don't assume I'll just know how to do something, I'd be grateful if you could walk me through any actions.

The error code 12 means:
This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system. (Code 12)
Dont think this has something to do with the missing driver.
Would recommend doing this firstly:
1. Go to Start Menu-All Programs-Accessories, then right-click Command Prompt and select Run As Administrator
2. Enter: bcdedit /set CONFIGACCESSPOLICY DISALLOWMMCONFIG
3. Restart your PC

After Download, asks for disk in order to install.

After downloading Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 from the Adobe website, after entering the serial number and going through all the pre-install configuring, it then asks for the disk to be inserted before it will install. There is no disk as this is a downloaded program, and is not being installed from a disk but from the downloaded disk image. How do I get it to install?

After having tried to get this to install 5 different times, I thought of a possible way to do it, but when I went to try it out, never got that far because it simply installed on this try. I have no idea why it suddenly installed, but 4 hours later and on the 6th attempt, it did. I made no system upgrades or other installations during this time, so it wasn't anything new on the computer that made it work. The only thing I did differently is that I didn't shut down Firefox during the install. If you've forgotten the PIN or password that you had originally configured to unlock your iOS device, there is a reset sequence.

I am trying to install vmware fusion and during the install it continues to ask for the admin password to install.

I am trying to install vmware fusion 5-1.0.2 on osx 10.8.2 and it just keeps asking for the admin passoword for the computer. I keep putting it in with no luck. I have installed other programs with no issues.

If yours is the only user account on the Mac, it will have Admin privileges by default, so just type your password. Provided the installer is legit (i.e., downloaded from VMWare's servers and not some shady place), it needs Admin privileges since it needs to add stuff in the innermost folders of the OS for virtualization to work.
If your user account does NOT have admin privileges, you will need to have someone who does install Fusion for you. No way around this.

I own an blackbery Q5
I can't say when and I'm sure I've not used any menu to enable some password request.
I use it since few days
From the begin, the steps I've done are
- backup/restore the data of my previous 9360
- update to latest OS 10.1 update
- setting up my BlackBerry ID
- enabling the development mode (now disabled)
Today, I've plugged the Q5 to my notebook and BlackBerry Link starts with the prompt
"BlackBerry-9496 is password protected" and waits for a password...
... which password is this?
I have full access to the Q5, where should I check this password, and hopefully un-check this password request?
I mean, I don't want to be asked for a password.

I've discovered the issue
when I've enabled the development mode, I've been asked for a password to be setup.
It seemed to me that the password was relative to the development mode, instead reading carefully, it was a request to enable the device password protection.
