Asking for disk 2???

I had the problem where some time ago I set up a version cue server. I forgot what password i used and according to all that I read I had to unistall version cue and then reinstall it. I went to my adobe home and downloaded my web package that I bought online and used that uninstaller to remove the version cue software. However, when I went to reinstall the software it asks me for Disk 2? I am working from a down load??? where I am to get disk 2?
Anyone have any ideas?

It will only request Disc 2 if you have requested to install the Premiere Elements 10 trial.  If you do not wish to install the trial there is no need to insert disc 2.

  • Need Disk 2 for10.4.2  got stuck asking for disk 2

I purchased a used Imac G5 with 10.5 on it. I need 10.4 for a billing program I use. The Imac G5 install disk 1 came with the G5. I started the install and got 3/4 done, then it asks for disk 2. Bad news? No disk 2. The previous owner said he never used the disk and there is only the one I have.
Whenever I boot the computer, it turns on and asks for Disc 2. Is there any way to get in and take off the 10.4 update I did? That way I can go back to running 10.5 [I have no disk for 10.5 it was just loaded on the machine]. I can boot the computer using my external drive that has 10.4.11 on it. Any help is much appreciated.
I had to purchase this G5 because my Imac G4 15 flat panel was dealt a double power surge on Monday and died. Luckily Mac folks able to make a complete copy of the contents on the hard drive.
Thank you in advance, it has been quite a week.

You can call Apple Customer Relations 800-767-2775 and they will send you the install discs for a small fee.
Do call them and have the serial # handy. But someone a couple of weeks ago, reported that Apple said they didn't have any more. (It was for iMac PPC (2005 I think). So if you get some Post back.
One thing you can try with the one disk, is before the install starts, click on the custom button, and uncheck as much as possible. When it ask for #2, I think its looking for applications to install and maybe X11. Good luck

  • Photoshop Elements needs repair.  After repair it asks for disk 1.  I only have one disk and the case I got the program in has space for one disk.  What should I do?

I must have gotten a corrupted sector on my disk drive I place my Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 CD in the drive and it asked to install or repair or uninstall.  I clicked repair and after a minute it asked for disk 1.  I could not find a disk one and my case only has space for one disk.  What should I do?
    Jim Hamilton.

PSE6 is a very old program (more than 6 years old) so what exactly are you trying to do?  Have you got PSE6 already on your machine?  If so, to uninstall it, all you need to do is to go to the Windows Control Panel and uninstall it under Add/Remove programs icon.
If you are trying to install it again on top of what is already installed then the best way is to uninstall it from the machine before installing again after rebooting.  Also, if the disk happens to be damaged then try copying the contents from the disk to a temporary folder on your machine and then try installing from that temporary folder by clicking on the setup.exe file.
    Hope this helps.

  • Why isn't the installation asking for disk 2

why isnt the installation asking for disk 2.  I have loaded disk 1 for photo shop 10 elements and the NEXT button takes me to a program maintenance screen where I am told if I proceed with the NEXT button the only indicated action is  Remove Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 from your computer.  The header on the screen is still Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 - Setup.  I have photoshop 9 on my computer.

It will only request Disc 2 if you have requested to install the Premiere Elements 10 trial.  If you do not wish to install the trial there is no need to insert disc 2.

  • LTI ask for disk options in the Wizzard ?

Is it possible to somehow got LTI Wizzard to ask for disk configuration options ?
Some PC in my enviroment dont always stick to Disk0 bring the SSD or Disk1 being DADA disk, some people have new SSD disk added as
Disk2 and want to keep disk0 and disk1 untuched.
So i was hopeing there is a way to get LTI Wizzard to show list of availble disk with some info about them like manufacturer and/or type and/or size, so during deployment i can pick the disk to which disk Windows should be installed.
is this possible and of yes how?
    extra info:
    MDT 2013
    Windows Server 2012
    Deploying Win7 and Win8.1

Unfortunately I think you will have to physically connect the SSD so that it is Disk0.

  • CS6 Beta asks for disk during install

I downloaded the CS6 beta to a new folder in my Program Files folder on my hard drive.
I did a complete shut-down and cold restart on the PC.
I closed all other programs and disabled all the memory-resident ones except my antivirus.
I started the CS6 setup.  At roughly 28% complete, the installer stopped and displayed the message:
"Please insert disk Photoshop CS6 to continue"
Clicking 'Continue' brought the same error message screen back.
I would like to try CS6, but how do I get it installed?

My OS is 32-bit XP Pro SP3 with all critical updates applied.  The only other Adobe product installed is Adobe Reader X.
The only thing you did differently is to put the downloaded file and the extracted files on your Desktop.  I downloaded mine to a unique folder in my hard drive Program Files folder, extracted them there, then ran the Installer.
I also selected 'Try' instead of 'Buy' and created a unique Adobe login ID for myself.  After the first failed attempt, all subsequent installation attempts 'recognized' my Adobe ID and only asked me to confirm it.
Since my last post, I've also tried copying the extracted files to a DVD, then running the Installer from the hard drive with the DVD in the DVD drive (Failed) and I tried running the Installer directly from the DVD drive (Failed).  In each attempt, it got to 28% complete, then began asking for the Photoshop 6 disk.
I may try to install CS6 Beta on my Win7 system, but I really dislike using that PC for beta versions of programs.

  • Trial install asks for disk to install - CS6 Master Suite

I installed the Master Suite collection quite a while ago on a previous computer with no problem. Now though, I'm being asked for a disk just to go through with a trial installation.
I'll clck on "trial" installation choice. I'll click on "next" and it'll look like it's going to install. However, after a few moments, it'll stop and ask me to insert the disk to continue. It's a trial, so what disk?

    what os?
what are the file names/extensions that you downloaded and are they all in the same directory?

  • Try to use recovery disk i made but it ask for disk 3 and there isnt one

My computer crash and when I try to use the recovery disk that i made form the system, it said it only took 2 dvds i burn the disk. then when my computer crash i try using the disk and all want good until disk 2 was done and it ask for the next disk i didnt change the hard drive or any other hardware. i had to send it back to toshiba for them to redo it. when i try order a set of disk Toshiba said they no longer carried the disk. its a new computer with window 8 model number s875-s7356 what happens next time its crash it cost me 60 to have them do something i should be able to do myself when you buy a computer new it comes with OEM windows and has a key number for that windows so why should i have to buy windows 8 when i paid for it when i paid for the computer  is there a way to order a disk from MS that will work with the key the computer came with

The recovery image is probably closer to 12 gig in size than the 9 gig you can get on 2 disks.  Get a 16 gig USB thumb drive and make your recovery on it.  It's easier because there is no disk switching.  I'd do it as soon as you get your computer back.

  • After Download, asks for disk in order to install.

After downloading Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 from the Adobe website, after entering the serial number and going through all the pre-install configuring, it then asks for the disk to be inserted before it will install. There is no disk as this is a downloaded program, and is not being installed from a disk but from the downloaded disk image. How do I get it to install?

After having tried to get this to install 5 different times, I thought of a possible way to do it, but when I went to try it out, never got that far because it simply installed on this try.  I have no idea why it suddenly installed, but 4 hours later and on the 6th attempt, it did. I made no system upgrades or other installations during this time, so it wasn't anything new on the computer that made it work. The only thing I did differently is that I didn't shut down Firefox during the install. All the other times I followed Adobe's instructions and made sure there were no programs running during the install. Could that be the reason?

  • Satellite L655D-S5116 - Recovery wizard asks for disk

When I get to the recovery wizard on my toshiba l655d-s5116 i should be able to select it and move to next screen where I can select recovery (out of box state). I have done this in the past without a problem but now when I click on recovery wizard the cd-rom pops open asking for a disk?
Never seen this before, so how do i do a factory restore now? i still have a recovery partition. and also why is it doing this now?

    >time to invest in a restore cd. thanks again.
Dont know what happens here with your Recovery Creator software but it seems that the image files which are needed in order to create a Recovery disk cannot be found.
So it seems that you need to purchase a recovery disk.
Since your notebook seems to be a US notebook series, i think you have to check this page:

  • NI-DAQmx 8.5 Installer (Download version) hangs asking for Disk 2

    My configuration:LabVIEW 8.2.1, WindowsXP SP2
Using the downloaded version of NI-DAQ (NIDAQ850.exe). I'm trying to install NI-DAQmx 8.5 on a clean LabVIEW build machine. The installer hangs prompting me to insert CD disk 2. It states "The specfied folder does not contain the correct volume".
How is one supposed to complete the installation?

    Hello,
I wanted to clarify that when the installer was hanging and asking you to insert CD disk 2.  It was actually looking for a second folder title NIDAQ8502, which has document and product information.
This folder is downloaded to the above location when running the self extracting executable NIDAQ850.exe from the installer page link “NI-DAQmx8.5 (810 MB)”.   Please check to see if the folder is in the appropriate location or if it was deleted.

  • Adobe Premiere Trial Asks For Disk During Setup

This is not the first time I've downloaded a trial. When it was installing, it asked me to insert disk 1. But since it is a trial, I don't have a disk.  Thanks for any help.

No. I have not installed it before. Maybe I should also say that I have gotten the setup off of a disk from my laptop.
Good. I was afraid that you had installed it on this machine previously.
Did you Extract the archive file, the downloaded file, to the same drive, that you are installing to? I would Extract, including the full folder structure, to my C:\temp, and then install to C:\ [Chosen Folder] from there. Usually, the Extraction process defaults to include the entire folder structure, but some extraction programs might omit that important part. When Extracted, did you get the full folder structure?
    Good luck,

  • Ask for disks replacement or wait for Snow Leopard?

I think I've lost the OSX Leopard disks (both of them) that came with my MacBook unibody.
In a recent post I've read that it's possible to ask Apple for a replacement. But considering that I'm going to upgrade to Snow Leopard, are the original ones still necesary?
Does the SL distro (the upgrade, I mean) contain, for instance, XCode or the Windows drivers for bootcamp?
I also bought the iLife'09 upgrade .... [click in my mind and some minutes later] .... Ugh. Things are getting worse, I can't find that disk either. Ok, let's forget iLife for the moment.
I'm using a TimeCapsule to backing up my Mac. AFAIU, if something goes wrong with my HD I can restore from the backup but I still do need the OS disks. Is that correct?
Once I've installed SL, could the restore be done from within the SL disk making Leopard disk "obsolete"?
    Regards

none of your SL questions can be answered here until snow leopard is officially released. that would be against forum rules and people who do have snow leopard already are still under NDA. but regardless of the answers I would certainly suggest you get the replacement disks. those install disks contain ilife that came with your computer and apple hardware tests which will be absent on a retail leopard or snow leopard disk. also, to restore your entire leopard system from a TM backup you will need a leopard install disk.
