Asking serial number

I have removed all old Adobe products and installed Adobe CC(Photoshop and illustrator) its asking for a serial number instead of log-in. Please help???????????

    So I bought CD of iwork 08, and installed into a macbook for the first time. But that macbook died because of an accident, so I bought a new macbook pro later, and I tried to install iwork 08 on it, but when it finished "installing" it didn't ask serial number and it was done. But nothing works normally and on the menu there is "register page" so I click it, and it leads me to the apple product registration page. And when I follow it, it asks Marketing Part Number which I don't have. How should I install iwork on my computer?

    The DVD version doesn't need a serial number.
    You need to uninstall the demo version first however:

    Elton Adobe which web browser are you utilizing?  Are you signed into http://www.adobe.com/ when you attempt to contact our support team directly at Contact Customer Care.
    I would recommend utilizing a different web browser and contacting our support team directly as suggested by KGlad in message #6.

    Cloud programs do not use serial numbers... you log in to your paid Cloud account to download & install & activate... you MAY need to log out of the Cloud and restart your computer and log back in to the Cloud for things to work

    With the subscription version of Photoshop you have to sign in periodically to make sure you're up to date with your payments.  You should just have to sign in with your Adobe ID and password.  There is no serial number.

    It seems to me that you are facing challenges with activation or serialization of your product .
    You have purchased it but not able to use it because you keep getting a pop to type in your serial number.
    The reason being you need serialize or activate your product before you can use it .
    Please perform as mentioned above and see if that helps.

I had previously downloaded the trial version which had expired, now wen I open the software it asks for a serial number in order to activate it. I have not received any number and already tried all the solutions offered by the adobe support: results less. I am very close to desperation right now and it is very urgent, could you please help me ....

    Sorry for the trouble. I can confirm that the subscription under your account is activated from our end but there seems to be something either on your machine or network that is stopping the connection to our servers. lets try the following steps and suggest if it did worked for you or not.
    1) Any active Antivirus/firewall? If yes, please disable it and try again.
    2) Corporate network? If yes, please try and connect to a guest network/mobile hotspot/or a restriction free network and try again.
    3) Check the host file for entries that might be blocking Adobe products to get a successful connection.
               > Windows : C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
             > Mac : /etc/hosts
    Once you are at the above location, please open the Hosts file in Notepad and check for any entry that has Adobe written in it. If you find any, please delete those entries and save the file on the desktop. Now navigate back to this location again and rename Hosts to Hosts_old and drag & Drop the saved file (one you saved on desktop) to this location & try activating the product again.
    4) If the above doesn't work, please launch Creative Cloud Desktop Application, sign out & sign in again using the ID that you have purchased the subscription.
    Do let us know if this worked for you or not.

    I proceeded to  a simple update of my aperture using the app store
    I use the app store in order not to have to manage applications, installation DVDs etc..
    What was not my surprise when aperture, after a minor update from app store, is now asking me for a serial number
    Can anyone tell me how I ca nrecover the serial number ?
    I m using the app store especialyl to avoid that kind of bs...

    You say you used the App Store to update Aperture, but how did you buy Aperture orignally? Was your Aperture version bought from the App Store or did you buy Aperture as a retail version on DVD?

    Is it possible to add a VI or something to ask for a serial number while installing the set up so that the set up is run only once (to prevent unauthorised distribution).

    Copy protection is a difficult subject. Microsoft, National instrument, CAD and ECAD producers have different copy protect regimes. Do they work? Not very good at all. If a software is popular enough it will be "cracked". Of course this is not legal, but well try to tell  that to the illegal users. One thing you can do is to take the CPU serial number and perhaps the network card MAC. Then have your customer to send you the number(s). Mix those numbers to key file. That your software reads. This could give some protection quite cheap. Some sort of dongle is not a bad idea. This way your customer can install the software on several machines. But they can only use as many licenses simultaneous as the number of dongles they have. If they feel you are to greedy with your license policy your costumer may be tempted to "crack" your software. Life is hard as software manufacturer

    I bought cc one year license two weeks ago but my creativecloud application installer says trial over and doesnt let me use the apps without giving a serial number which i havent gotten.
    In windows boocamp installation everything went fine without any serial numbers.

    And I have reinstalled and reloggedin several times with no help.
    What should I do?

    I used before trial version of iWork 09, downloaded from apple.com, today l bought iWork 09 retail disc, but after instalation , when l lunch it ,it asked me to enter serial number

    It used to be that to update the trial to the licensed version with the box, you just inserted the DVD & ran the installer to convert the trial to licensed. This changed with Snow Leopard. You now need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user.
    Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his iDisk in For_iWork > iWork '09 > uninstall iWork '09.zip.
