Asks for security code with a gift card setup? What code,anyway was thrown away by the person gifting, HELP!
The security code should be on your card, quite often on the back of it on the signature strip, though it's sometimes on the front of the card : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3541

I am trying to download whatsapp on my iphone 4. It asks for my apple id and password and when I sign in , it gets me to a page that says redeem ...when I hit redeem it shows I have a $14 balance in my account and asks for a code - I tried entering the itunes card number...it says it has already been used. Why is it every time I try do download a free apps or games it requires me to fill up a credit card information since I don't have one so I cancel it and It won't able to continue to download?
You can create an iTune and App Store account without credit card details
1. Sign out of current Apple ID if you are sign-in to one (important)
2. Go to App Store and select a free app
3. Tap INSTALL APP
4. Create New Apple ID
5. Confirm Your Country
6. Agree with Terms and Conditions
7. Fill in your Apple ID and Password (you must create a new Apple ID; don't use your old Apple ID)
8. Create and answer your secret question
9. Select NONE for Payment Method
10. Fill in Billing Address
11. Submit application for new Apple ID
12. Wait for verification email
13. When email arrive, verify your account
14. Start downloading your free apps -

Copy the iTunes folder from the disk to the Mac, and the iPhone backup to the right place on the Mac (Google for "iphone backup location"). Then when you restore you can reload the last backup.

Exactly where are you getting your Flash from? It is quite free from the maker, no password needed.

Update to iOS7 now asks for security code. I don't have one.

During the update to iOS 7.0.4 you are encouraged to create and use a passcode. Are you sure the screen you are seeing is not just asking for you to CREATE a passcode? If so I recommend creating, REMEMBERING and using a passcode to protect the data on your iPhone.
But there should also be a small "Skip" button that you can tap to avoid creating a passcode. -
The 3 apps required updating but they have frozen. Did not realise this until Candy Crush froze. Went to reset and it asked for pass code. I entered standard code and it stated one failed attempt. I may be over 70 years of age but have not forgotten pass code!! I hope that the solution is simple!!
If your iPad was used by another person in the past, it may be asking for their passcode.
If your iPad has been synced with a computer before, restoring with your computer should fix it now.

It will ask to *Create new account* or *Use existing account*.
If you do not have an account, select *Create new account*.
You don't have to enter in a CC number. You cna if you want but it's not required. -
Ipad asking for passcode but I dot have one
I Have been locked out of my iPad mini. After updating it is asking for a passcode. I have never used a passcode before.
Is your iPad new in the sense of being brand new or is it the latest generation?
If you do not have very much on it you could connect it to iTunes on your computer (if you use one) and on the screen that pops up starting with the Summary tab click on the Restore button further down. Be sure to set it up as a new device? You will lose any saved data but at least it will unlock your device. Alternatively, you could could do it through Settings on your ipad. Either way, you my have to redownload your purchased apps again. -
Purchased Quicktime Pro. For install, instructed to go to system preferences and click on Quicktime Icon. Don't have one. Have most current QT, 7.0 running. Suggestions?

Snow Leopard update 10.6.4 included an update to 7.6.6 (if installed). You can install it from the above link even though it says for 10.6.3. It's the same version of QuickTime Player 7.6.6.
(Only QuickTime Player 7.6.3 or 7.6.6 can be updated to "Pro".)
