Asp Files for iTunes

I am trying to play some .asp files for my kids homework on my iTunes but can't seem to get them to play or even be imported or recognized. My wife has a MacBook Pro and she plays them using iTunes with no issue, same with our PC but my PowerBook G4 won't play them. Any suggestions? I am using iTunes 9.0.2.
My wife has the same version but her OS is newer.
Thanks..

I just bought a MBA and I need to move my photos and itunes to an external hard drive (from my old MacBook Pro) because they won't fit on the Air.  I got the photos moved fine and I followed an online tutorial to move the necessary files for itunes, but it didn't work.  The files copied fine, but when I tell iTunes on the Air to look at the external drive for the library, it doesn't find anything.  What I copied was the entire iTunes Media folder.  So, how do I move the necessary iTunes files from my old Pro to a external drive so I can access them from my new Air?  Whew!

iTunes- How to move the library to an EHD
After you move the library you need to open iTunes by first depressing the OPTION key then launching iTunes. You will be given a choice of which library to use. This can then be made a permanent change, if you wish, in the Advanced section of iTunes preferences.

Where can I find which credit card I have on file for iTunes?

On your computer's iTunes you should be able to see your payment info by going into the Store > View My Account (Store > View My Apple ID on iTunes 11) menu option and logging into it.  If you are doing it on an iOS device (iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch) then try tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) and selecting 'View Apple ID' on the popup.

  • How to convert wma files for iTunes

I will appreciate any help from anyone who shows me how to play wma audio files in Itunes. I do not want to use an outside non-Apple  audio video converter. The quick time program plays the audio file but I do not know how to bring it in the Itunes Library.
    Thank you

    Converting WMA Files
In iTunes for Windows, you can convert your unprotected WMA files to AAC files (or whatever file format is chosen in the Importing pane of iTunes Preferences) without changing the original WMA file. Simply drag the WMA files into your library in iTunes and iTunes does the grunt work, converting them for you. Windows Media Player 9 or later must be installed to convert unprotected WMA files. Protected WMA files cannot be converted.

  • Converting a wma file (windows media audio) to a Mp3 file for iTunes.

I copied all of my music from my external harddrive that i have had for a long time now onto my MacBook. Some of the files were wma while most were Mp3. is there anyway that i can convert the files on my mac to make them mp3 and playable on my itunes and put on my nano. I have tried many times to add the songs to my library and then convert them, but they don't appear in my library but they still play when i use quicktime.

The files play in Quicktime likely because you have the Flip4Mac plugin installed. As for iTunes, it doesn't support WMA files, so they won't be imported.
You can try EasyWMA to convert the WMA files to MP3, M4A, or WAV. I have not tried this program, though.
    Hope this helps,

  • I recently bought a new iMac as well as a wireless time capsule and have it connected how can I use this external drive as the location to store all my files for iTunes, or is this even possible?

New iMac user here, I recently bought a new iMac and Time capsule and have the whole network up and running now. I have connected another external HD to the time capsule as well and have a total of 3 TB of storage connected wireless to my new iMac. My question is can I use this location as the default location for iTunes?  I doubt I am gonna run out of room considering the iMac has 1 TB of storage already, but I'd prefer to keep my movies and music off the Mac to keep it running smoothly. If this is possibly, I'd like to do this with iPhoto as well.

I would advise against placing your iTunes library on a Time Capsule.
The Time Capsule is designed as a backup device and not for wireless streaming of video.
Before you do anything more, can I suggest you put into place a reliable, redundant backup strategy.
Unless you are prepared to risk loss of your iTunes library due to a hard drive failure, I would not put iTunes on the Time Capsule.
Leave your iTunes library on your iMac until such time as your internal drive is full. Backup to Time Capsule using Time Machine and create a clone of your internal iMac HD to your external drive.
That's my 2 cents worth. Others may have a different opinion.

  • How do you find the "iT 1.tmp" file for iTunes?

    Hello,
I am currently having problem with my iTunes library. A couple of days ago, very randomly, most of my music and movies disappeared from my iTunes library. I had recently updated iTunes, but it was a week after the update that this happened. All of my music and movies that I had added through importing CDs or copying from a hard drive were no longer in my library, and all of the music I had purchased from iTunes had the iCloud symbol next to them, and needed to be re-downloaded to actually have them on my computer. My iPod also didn't recognise it as the same library, asking if I wanted to remove all music on it before syncing.
The strange thing is that all of my music and movies are still in the same place; they're in the iTunes media file and everything is there, it just doesn't appear on my library. After a bit of searching I found out that others had had the same problem, and it was apparently fixed by deleting the "iTunes library.itl" file and renaming the "iT 1.tmp" file with "iTunes library.itl". The only problem is that I can't find "iT 1.tmp" anywhere.
If anybody could help that would be amazing, as I have lost 3000 songs and I have no idea why. It would also be much too time consuming to import everything again.
    Thanks

    Hi Jonesy0309,
I'm sorry to hear about the issues you have been having with iTunes. I also apologize, but I'm a bit unclear on the directions you were following regarding your iTunes library. • Is there a debug log file for iTunes "Add to Library" failures?

I have an odd movie file (mp4, h264, AAC) that iTunes will not import. I transcode, tag and import videos all the time but this one fails silently on import. I've tried the drag n drop, import to library and auto-import folder methods. Nada. It plays fine in the standalone quicktime player, so it is somewhat compatible.
Does anyone know if and where iTunes logs these failures? I've been poking around the console app logs but cannot find anything. I'd love to know why it is rejecting it. I suspect it is a compatibility issue.
    Thanks
    Drew

Thanks for the reply Jim. Yes I did notice this option, it wasn't too attractive to me as it claimed the 2.5gb 720p file would be 5.5Gb after this processing! A gave it a shot anyway, but keep getting an error - "This operation cannot be completed (OSStatus error 38.)". Have to google that one some....
It's not the end of the world if I can't import this one into iTunes. But it did make me a little surprised about the seemingly complete lack of debug logging for the application. With Apple's focus on user experience, the completely silent rejection of this file, with no feedback or error message is not right.
    Cheers
    Drew

  • Corrupt video files for iTunes

This has been an ongoing problem that has gotten worse. I have several video files made from various sources (FCP X and Adobe Premiere) all formatted for an AppleTV with the .m4v extension on them. They work when I set them and add them to the iTunes library. Plays fine. Occasionally I will scroll through my library and see a generic gray film icon for the video. I click on it, nothing happens. It will not play. Selecting Show in Finder shows the file, which looks to be about the correct file size. The icon for the video file is a blank dog-eared document, which should not be. I can't preview it or load it into any video editing or compressor application.
What is happening to my videos? Random corruption of these files is certainly not acceptable. And yes, I ran DiskUtility. It doesn't happen to all the self-made video files, just some here and there. Never has happened that I can see with any of the major videos I have downloaded from iTunes. Only the stuff I create and add to the library. Sooner or later, it will liekly happen to other video files.
Any ideas as to what is going on?  Any thoughts on how to recover my videos aside from backups?

Update: I tried loading in to every video application I have. Even MPEG StreamClip and it had to be forced to open the file. It did so, but at the very end jumpedout indicating it couldn't find any video or audio tracks.
I have done nothing to these files other than let them sit on the drive. Every now and then one or two of them just reandomly corrupts. What's causing this?

  • Where are the  downloaded movie files for iTunes stored?

Im trying to find the files on my time machine to restore some movies I had in Itunes.  I can't download them again from itunes for some reason so I am trying to restore the files from the time machine. I need to know where on my mac the movies and tv shows I've downloaded from iTunes are stored on my computer Any help would be greatly apreciated.
    Thank You

They're located inside the Music:iTunes:iTunes Media folder of your home folder unless you told iTunes to look elsewhere for its library.

  • Combining .mov Files for iTunes

    Hello
I have a training CD (not DVD) that has 20+ .mov files that want to import into iTunes as one video media file.  I tried importing them individually and of course I wound up with 20+ individual media files which is undesireable.  How can I combine this for import into iTunes?
    Thanks

You'll probably have to use a video editing tool such as mpegstreamclip or Quicktime Pro.

  • How do I go about finding some missing files for ITunes

    HI
I am having problems retrieving itunes since I tried to install itunes 7.5. The message that is coming up is when I tried to windows can not run itunes because some files are missing, please reinstall itunes. Have tried this but same thing happens. Has anyone got any suggestions on how I can fix this problem. I would really appreciate any help.

Go back through the forum. Someone suggested downloading the previous version and where to download it at. There is a problem with the upgrade. I've been having problems with my computer, and I thought this was the straw that broke the camels back. I know the problem is not on my end, it's itunes. Look back through the forum, I think it's posted having problems with Itunes 7.5. That's where I started. Just got done downloading the previous version, it worked for someone else.

  • How can I restore the previously bought apps after I have formatted my computer without backing up any of my files for iTunes?

    As titled.
I bought many apps from iTunes at the end of last year, and then my computer had got problem that I had to format and reinstall everything.
I just want to know how can I restore the previously bought apps once if I forgot to backup any of my files on the computer??
Would be really grateful if someone can show me how to. Thanks!!
FYI: At that time I was using iPad 1 and the OS was still 3.1.x. Now I am using iPhone 4 and would like to restore the apps at least those that are compatible to my phone.

  • How to make a complete backup file for Itunes?

Hi I have a set of "FILES" that make up an old phone back-up that isn't currently working as far as Itunes not recognizing it as a back up at all. What are my options as far as making them compatible?

If iTunes doesn't recognize a set of iOS device backup folders as valid then the chances of rescuing any data from them are slim. There are various iOS device backup extraction tools that may or may not do something useful, I've not had reason to test them.
