ASP VBScript and ADDT Dynamic List Wizard HELP

Using ADDT I've created a dynamic list in a membership area. How do I get that dynamic list to populate only the data for that particular member that is logged in. Any help would be so much appreciated as I have been trying to figure this out for days now.

Use the session variable from the log in method (MM_Username as I recall) to create a recordset that you then use in the dynamic list versus using the whole table.

  • How to add a column to a list created with the Dynamic List Wizard to display the values of the fiel

    Hi,
    ADDT, Vista, WAMP5.0
    We have 2 tables: clients_cli (id_cli, name_cli, tel_cli, and several more fields) and cases_cas (id_cas, idcli_cas, court_cas, and a lot of other fields).
Clients may have many cases, so table cases_cas have a foreign key named idcli_cas, just to determine which case belongs to which client.
We designed the lists of the two tables with the Dynamic List Wizard and the corresponding forms with Dynamic Form Wizard.
These two forms are linked with the Convert Dynamic List and Form Wizards, which added a button to clients list named "add case".
We add a client and then the system returns to the clients list displaying all clients, we look for the new client just added and then press "add case", which opens the Dynamic Form for cases, enter all case details and everything processes ok.
However, when we view the cases list it display all the details of the case, including the column and values for the foreign key idcli_cas. As you can image, it is quite difficult for a human to remember the clients ids.
So, in the cases list we added a another column, named it Name, to display the names of the clients along with cases details. We also created another recordset rsCli, selected the clients_cli table, displaying all columns, set filter id_cli = Form Variable = idcli_cas then press the Test button and everything displays perfect. Press ok.
Then, we position the cursor inside the corresponding cell of the new Name column, go to Bindings, click on name_cli and then click on insert. The dynamic field is inserted into the table cell as expected, Save the page, and test in browser.
The browser call the cases list but fails to display the values of the Name column. The Name column is simply empty.
This issue creates a huge problem that makes our application too difficult to use.
    What are we doing wrong?
    Please help.
    Charles

    1.     Start transaction PM01, Create Infotype, by entering the transaction code.
You access the Create Infotype screen.
    2.     Choose List Screen.
    3.     In the Infotype no. field, enter the four-digit number of the infotype you want to create.
When you specify the infotype number, please remember to enter any leading zeros.
    4.     In the Screen Number field, enter the screen number of the list screen you want to enhance.
    5.     Choose Create.
    The Dictionary: Initial screen appears:
    6.     Create the list screen structure.
    7.     Choose Activate.
    8.     Return to the Enhance List Screen in the Enhance Infotypes transaction (PM01).
    9.     Choose Create All.
The additional fields are displayed on the list screen, however, they contain no data.
The fields can be filled in the FORM routine FILL-LISTSTRUCT in the generated program ZPnnnn00. The FORM routine is called for each data record in the list.
Structure ZPLIS is identified when it is generated with a TABLES statement in the program ZPnnnn00.
The fields can be filled from the Pnnnn structure or by reading text tables.

  • How to Add the Dynamic List Wizard Form to a Spry Accordion Panel?

Is it possible to add ADDT Dynamic Forms to the Spry Widgets?
    - I have been trying to add the Dynamic List Wizard to my existing Accordion but everytime I do, the Accordion turns into plain text?
-Also, If it is possible then how do I target the Panels and have the detail record open up in Panel number 2?
I plan on having the ADDT Dynamic Form in Panel 1, and want the Add, Edit, New, Delete form to open up in Panel 2.
    Thanks for your help,
    jlig

    I figured this out.
    1) First add all the Fields to the Form using the ADDT Insert Record Form Wizard.
    2) View the ADDT form in the browser to make sure the fields all display.
    3) In DW design view, move the cursor just to the left of the ADDT Form and hit Enter to Add a line just above the ADDT Table.
    4) With the cursor below the Red Form line and just above the ADDT table add the SPRY widget. (ex..Tabs)
    5) Now highlight the rows you want to move & hit Cut, then open up Tab1, highlight Content1 and hit Paste.
I decide to leave my date_added, modified_By & date_modified fields below the SPRY tab widget so that these fields are visible all the time. When I click on the Insert button, the record was added correctly to my Table after Validation passed.
    Thanks,
    jlig

  • Dynamic List Wizard error - can't connect to recordset or table

I'm using Windows Vista, CF 8, and DW CS3.
I have just started working with the Dynamic List Wizard and cannot get it to work. I have tried both options: get data from recordset, and get data from table. When I click on "finish" I get the following error message: Please select a connection that contains tables for updating, or click cancel.
Everything appears to be good to go. I've refreshed my recordset, my database connections, etc. Has anybody else had this issue and what is the workaround?
Also, is there a tutorial out there ANYWHERE for this part of the extension? Interakt had such great Flash demos ... what's up with Adobe? No Flash demos for this extension?
    Thanks!

Backing up to a third-party NAS with Time Machine is risky, and unacceptably risky if it's your only backup. This is an example of what can happen. If the NAS doesn't work, your only recourse is to the manufacturer (which will blame Apple.)
If you want network backup with Time Machine, use as the destination either an Apple Time Capsule or an external hard drive connected to another Mac or a mini-tower (802.11ac) AirPort base station. Only the 802.11ac base station supports Time Machine, not any previous model.

  • Create dynamic list Wizard

    Hello,
Been using the tool kit for a while perfectly, but just started getting this error from the 'Create dynamic list Wizard'
    Internal Error. Table Order:
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'order) +1 AS kt_tor_max FROM section_cms' at line 1
Basically as soon as you at sort list by order it throws up this error when you hit save, any ideas?

    Hi Alastair,
"order" is one of MySQL´s so-called "reserved words" which you can´t use for table and column names -- please rename it to e.g. "order_ord" or whatever and try again.
For further reference on what words are reserved in this context, please read this list:

  • Referencing a "checked record" from my ADDT Dynamic List using a SPRY Menu

I have just posted a Beta of my site to:
    http://www.clearwave.biz/Beta/T1COElogin.cfm
    - Username is: Beta
    - Password is: 123
    - Once you are logged in you should see the ADDT list w/one
    order listed.
    - Click on the Printer icon & the Order Agreement will
open in PDF. (this works fine)
    - Click on the InfoSheet link & the Report will open in
PDF as well. (this works fine)
    - Everything works fine if you use the links on the same line
    as the record.
    - But if you check the CheckBox on the left, then choose the
Spry Menu above, Reports/T1 Agreement the report will not work?
Question: What should the Link be to reference the checked
item below, pass the CustID value to the report & print the
    PDF?
(Note: the CF report has the following line in the SQL:
    (tblT1OrderProcessing2.T1CustID = #param.T1CustID#) and the report
prints fine in Report Builder if I pass it the T1CustID, as well as
if I click the links on the same line as mentioned above, so this
is just an issue of grabbing the CustID value from the checked line
& passing it to the report link in the Spry menu)
Here is a visual picture of my Dynamic List page:

Printer icon on the right of my List:
    http://www.clearwave.biz/Beta/reports/T1_Service_Agreement.cfm?T1CustID=1508
and the link to the InfoSheet:
    http://www.clearwave.biz/Beta/reports/T1_Information_Sheet.cfr?T1CustID=1508
Both of these work perfectly by grabbing the T1CustID value
    of 1508 from the line.

  • I have a problem on dynamic list wizard

hello all  am beginner in dreamweaver it is possible to add a button in a dynamic list so yes how to do it for exemple i want to add a button detail which will allow me to have a detail a selected line
    thank you for your answers

You can do this by adding an extra link to the table cell which already holds the standard edit/delete links, like this:
    <a href="details.php?id=<?php echo $row_rs...1['id']; ?>">details...</a>
The name of the variable placeholder "$row_rs...1" mentioned above will have to be replaced with the name of the "List Recordset" which your Dynamic List is actually using -- you can retrieve this name by switching to Code View and location the code section starting with:
    // Defining List Recordset variable.
ADDT uses a pretty straight-forward rule to set this name:
    a) $row_rs
    b) the name of the database table
    c) 1
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers,
    Günter

  • Insert record behavior and multiple dynamic lists

I have a complex form that contains an insert record
behavior. Some of the fields are dynamic lists. My database has a
table to hold the static fields from the form and a number of
tables to hold the results from each dynamic list. I have the first
form and another form for review purposes. On the review form I am
getting an "Invalid argument supplied for foreach()" for each table
I try to insert the dynamic list results into. My investigation
leads me to believe that the arrays from the first form are being
subsumed by the actual insert action and that when my review form
is called, the arrays ($_POST) are no longer there. How do I ensure
that the arrays being set in part 1 of the Insert record behavior
will still be around for the review form? Any time I try to insert
code into the actual insert code, Dreamweaver duplicates the
behavior and tells me it can't decide which one to use.

So it appears that I'm not the only person with this problem.  One of the solutions I found was to use a Server.Transfer     Server.Transfer("thank_you.asp")
    instead of a Redirect.
This works however, now my form validation is broken.

  • Pb Server-Sides inludes  + Dynamic List Wizard with PHP 5.2

    Hi
I include some Dynamic Lists in a master page with Server Side Include beahavior.
It was Ok in PHP 5.1 with any number of items (50 items per page).
But there is problem with PHP 5.2, it's OK with 20 items per page, nothing is displayed with 50 items per pages.
I've seen that there is a new memory manager for the Zend Engine with PHP 5.2...
SO I modified some parameters in php.ini (memory_limit...) with no result.
Is there somebody have the same problem, an idea ?
    Thank you
    Marie

    Hi Marie,
I´m running PHP 5.2.2 with the Zend Memory Manager enabled as well, and so far I didn´t encounter such issues -- maybe you´ll just need to increase the currently defined "max_execution_time" value ?

  • 800a0bcd error on dynamic list wizard

hi, i created a list of records using list wizard and by default everything works perfect. then i added another show if... komponent and instead of (default) message "The table is empty or the filter you've selected is too restrictive.", i get this error:
    ADODB.Field error '800a0bcd'
    any thoughts?
    bye, bossti

thank you georgev! i understand this error message, but somehow cannot find solution...
    short description:
i have a list of users which belongs to 2 different countries. now, i would like to put a selection menu (link) on this page to choose a country.
this selection is ofcourse in 2 languages, so if one is selected other one is hidden and vice-versa. what i did is, i simply add some text and link it with a relevant url parameter and add "show if conditional region", then i repete this procedure for 2. language.
it works fine if everyting is right, so i can open a list of users, switch between coutries, filter/search user with specific data.... until i enter some data which doesn't belongs to any record, than insted of default message "filter is to restrictive....." this error appears.

  • MS db Connection String using ASP VBScript and DW8

  • How do I add a time field to a dynamic list and form?

I'm trying to create an update form that logs when an action was taken. Among the fields are one for the date and one for the time, but I've not been able to get the time field to display or enter data correctly.
I've set the time format in the ADDT preferences (database date and time format is yyyy-mm-dd and HH:mm:ss and screen format is dd/mm/yyyy and HH:mm). When I create the list or the form using the wizard, there is no option to display the field as a time.
In step 3 of 4 in the Dynamic List Wizard, the 'Display as' options are: text, numeric, double and date. Choosing date for the time field gives me a display as though it was a date (I get '00/00/0000'). I have the same problem with generating a Dynamic Form in that there is no option to display a time, only a date.
Am I able to do this using the wizard, or is there another way that I'm, missing? Thanks for any help.

If those date/time fields are only needed for logging purposes then follow Günter's instructions.
If you need to be able to edit those two fields and have their values displayed properly then there are several steps you should take.
First open the page that uses the Dynamic List behavior and make sure that all date and time fields are configured to display as dates. Then open the page with the dynamic form and click on "Manage Dynamic Form Wizard" in the Developer Toolbox. Configure your date and time fields to submit as dates. Then go to the Server Behaviors panel and double click on "Validate Form". You should now have 3 date/time options available under Validation Format: Date, Datetime, and Time. Configure each field as needed.
This will ensure that date and time fields are saved in the proper format so that when you view their values they will be displayed properly, that is dates will be displayed as dates and times as times.
There are also several additional server formats available that are accessible through the Bindings panel that you might want to experiment with.

  • Dynamic List and Security Issue

    Hi
I have a Dynamic List Wizard for orders, which the user can click on edit to edit or modify the order and if the user choose "Yes" to submit ( the order form has a submit filed which has Yes / No Values)then the EDIT button disappear and the user has no more control on the record(using show if conditional Region server behavior).
    - Now i noticed that when i click on the edit the address bar includes the (www.mysite.com/form.php?order_id=1) now say the order Number 2 is already submitted (still on the list but no Edit button for it) if i write 3 or 4 or any other number instead of 1 at the address bar (www.mysite.com/form.php?order_id=3) the record which has the order number 3 displays on the screen and then you can edit it and when click update the Edit Button becomes Active which destroy the whole concept.
    so, how to fix that?

    Hi Lorie,
    Taking it a step further
interesting that you´re mentioning this -- because I was just in the middle of finding a workaround for the very same issue ;-)
I actually did find a pretty easy solution, which basically goes like this:
    1) wrap the whole table *plus* any possibly added hidden fields located below this table in a "Show IF conditional region" behaviour -- but make sure to *not* include the buttons within the "KT_bottombuttons" div in here.
    2) as I assume that your "supplier_name" column holds a numeric value which equals the user´s "kt_login_id" Session Variable (which it should !), define the following conditions for the "Show IF conditional region" behaviour:
Expression 1: choose "supplier_name" from the tNG recordset
    Condition: ==
    Expression 2: choose Session -> kt_login_id
    3) tick the Has ELSE option
    4) confirm with OK
    5) replace the default "has Else" message with something meaningful like "you can´t edit this record !"
Switching to Code view and navigating to the very start of your "Show IF conditional region" should display something like this:
    if (@$row_rsqueryname['supplier_name'] == @$_SESSION['kt_login_id']) {
When viewing the modified Dynamic Form in a browser, you´ll note that this solution will indeed display the form instances for all "authorized" records, whereas those form instances which don´t match the required credentials will be replaced with that "has else" message.
BUT !! This solution has one major drawback which I haven´t been able to resolve yet :: when the Dynamic Form goes into Insert Record mode
(means when you click the "add new" link in the Dynamic List), all inner form instances will display that "has else" message.
The only workaround I currently can come up with is to have the List´s "add new" link point to a separate "add_new.php" page that´s going to insert a single record.

  • Dynamic List - Error processing insertText tag: 'loop' parameter arrays must be...

Hi, I'm using Dreamweaver CS3 and ADDT (PHP/MySQL).
I have many forms that I created with "Create Dynamic List Wizard", and All it's working fine until now, suddendly when I enter an any form, click Application / Server Behaviors, I saw a red symbol "!" next to Dynamic List Layout, I clicked it in order to make any changes, and then when I tried to save I got the following error message:
"Error processing insertText tag: 'loop' parameter arrays must be the same length. The 'loop' parameter 'tableCSSWidth' does not have the same length as the previous 'loop' parameter(s)."
This is happening with others form in my application. I can made some changes through "code", but others no...
I would like to know what its' happening with then "dynamic List" server behavior?
    I appreciate your help. Thanks!
    Ernesto

    Hello Ernesto,
    Please follow these exact steps:
    - go to this location on your disk (enable view of hidden files):
    - "c:\Documents and Settings\XP_user\Application Data\Adobe\Dreamweaver 9\Configuration"
( if you are on Windows OS)
    or:
    - "Macintosh HD:Users:MAC_User:Library:Application Support:Adobe:Dreamweaver 9:Configuration"
