Assassin's Creed Wont Play

I just purchased an downloaded the Assassin's Creed game for my iPod Touch. After searching the net and Apple support I haven't found anyone else with this problem so I decided to ask here.
After downloading and syncing, the "game" only plays a trailer for the Assassin's Creed Xbox/PS3 game. This is NOT what I paid for. After the trailer plays it bumps me back to the main iPod screen. Has anyone else experienced a problem like this? I'd really like some help. If it doesn't work, I'm out $6 as refunds on downloads never happen.
Other games, like Metal Gear Solid, work fine.
Thanks for looking, I look forward to some answers.

Delete the application from your iTunes and send it to your Recycle Bin.
Now re-download it, it will be free if you do it on your computer.
Re-sync, in it doesn't work, I don't know what to do

  • Hi! i recently got a macbook pro 15" retina display, and i tried to play assassin's creed 2 and other games on it, but the thing is, the keyboard keys will not respond except the trackpad, and the keyboard keys work fine outside of gaming.

Hi! so like i said in the title, i tried to play any game like assassin's creed and minecraft, but the keyboard wont respond but the trackpad does, also i tried restarting reinstalling checking if mouse key is on or off and all that, and it still wont fix this problem.  Outside of gaming though, the keyboard works with no problem. Please help me!

You should also ask this in the MacBook Pro forum. This is the forum for the 13” white and black plastic MacBooks that were discontinued in 2010. You should also post this question there to increase your chances of getting an answer.

  • What Do I Need to Purchase to Upgrade my iMac 7,1 to Play Assassin's Creed?

I own an iMac 7,1 (Intel Core 2 Duo). The processor speed is 2 GHz with 1 GB memory. I recently purchased Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed. Although I'm able to complete the tutorial using Windows XP, the game crashes about 15-20 minutes later. Ubisoft indicates that the system requirements include:
    1. Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ or better recommended.
    2. RAM: 1 GB Windows XP/2 GB Windows Vista
    3. Video Card: 256 MB DirectX 10.0-compliant video card or DirectX 9.0-compliant card with Shader Model 3.0 or higher.
Is there a way to upgrade my computer's processor speed from 2 GHz to 2.2 GHz? Also, would installing more memory make sense?

    Useful things to know.
    1. This is not considered an upgrade. It's a separate product, and runs separately. You can have both installed (though it's often better not to). This is important because some people buy Acrobat, then run Reader, and wonder why it hasn't changed.
    2. You must not purchase an upgrade. When you purchase an upgrade you have already own a version of (paid for) Acrobat. You have to say what version you already own, and this will be checked; you cannot use your purchase of an upgrade version if you don't own an older version.

  • Assassin's Creed: Unity Announcement

    Hello fellow gamers,
Ubisoft has released an official statement in regards to Assassin's Creed: Unity, specifically in regards to the current state of the game and changes being made the game itself, as well as other aspects of the game, such as Season Pass holders. Please note the FAQ linked within the announcement, as it should answer any questions you may have about the changes! The official announcement is as follows:
An Update on Assassin’s Creed Unity from Yannis Mallat
The launch of Assassin’s Creed Unity was a highly-anticipated moment for me and for our development teams around the world who dedicated a tremendous amount of energy, passion and skill to the game’s creation. For us, it was the culmination of years of work on new technologies, the development of multiple innovations -- including an all-new game engine -- and an evolution of the Assassin’s Creed franchise’s core pillars. More importantly, we know that it was a highly-anticipated moment for many of you as well, as you looked forward to taking part in the first truly next generation Assassin’s
    Creed game.
Unfortunately, at launch, the overall quality of the game was diminished by bugs and unexpected technical issues. I want to sincerely apologize on behalf of Ubisoft and the entire Assassin's Creed team. These problems took away from your enjoyment of the game, and kept many of you from experiencing the game at its fullest potential.
We’ve been working hard to fix the problems players are reporting, and the patches we have released so far have resolved many of them. Today, we’re releasing our third patch, which fixes a variety of specific issues related to the game’s stability and performance, matchmaking and connectivity, gameplay and menus. You can find the release notes on that patch here: www.assassinscreed.com/patch3
To show our appreciation for your continued support, we’re making the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Unity Dead Kings DLC free for everyone. For Season Pass holders, we will also offer the choice of one additional game from a selection of Ubisoft titles for free. More details on the offer for Season Pass holders can be found here: www.assassinscreed.com/faq
In addition to the latest patch and this offer, we are committed to delivering further fixes for other issues you’ve raised. In the meantime, please keep your feedback coming – it has been both humbling and incredibly helpful as we continue working hard to improve the overall quality of the game. We are hopeful that with these forthcoming updates, everyone will be able to truly enjoy their Assassin’s Creed Unity experience.
We will continue striving to make Assassin’s Creed one of the most ambitious and innovative franchises on the market, and we thank you for your continued loyalty and support.
    Sincerely,
    Yannis Mallat
    CEO, Ubisoft Montreal & Toronto
As per usual, please feel free to discuss your thoughts and feelings on these changes! On a personal level, I think it's an admirable move on Ubisoft's part and I appreciate the fact that they've made the changes mentioned above. As I said previously, please refer to the FAQ linked above for any questions you may have.

I have had a number of bugs and game play issues with it as well.  Just last night I was finishing a mission and I could not loot the target because it was half under a bush.
In many other instances random people will simply rise up in the air.  I have found numers objects (like a watermellon) simply floating in the air.
Also the controls are pretty aggravating.  The character often tries to do something other than what I am inputing, this happens moslty when climbing or running on rooftops.  I feel previous versions the controls operated more smoothly.
Howver, it is still a great game.  However, I think they also dropped the ball a little on the in game tutorial.  There are a lot of things i would not know how to do if i had not played previous versions.

  • Assassin's Creed2

    Hi
I have  HP  Pavilion g6-1048se Notebook
    When i play Assassin's Creed2   A little slow
This is normal, with the ability of the device???

    Hi Taif84
You know that you can lower the graphics settings to low. This will help the game to run a little bit smoother. And what do you mean with the abilty of this device.
Just lower the grahics settings and it will run a little better. Still lagging? Turn off all unnesseary background applications. If it still lags it means the game is stronger than the pc.
To say 'Thanks!'just hit the star (Kudos!)!

  • Assassin's Creed on MacBook Pro 13 inch

I just bought new MacBook Pro 13 inch and i want to play Assassin's Creed II on it. In appstore i read, that this game is not compatible with my computer, but many peoples say that is playble. Do you know anyting about it, because I don't want pay for game, that it not working.
    Sorry for my english.

    Hi there!
Even I bought the new MacBook Pro 13", and I bought the AC II game too!
Although there is a little lag here and there(in highest settings) the game itself runs very smoothly; If you tone down the settings, there's almost no lag.
In short, you may buy it. Its more than playable.

  • Assassin's Creed and Boot Camp bricked my iMac!

Okay, so it is not quite bricked, but it is very close, and I am at a loss. For the first time I have exhausted my knowledge and a series of Google searches and have come up short. Hopefully one of you guys can help. Sorry about how long this is, but I wanted to be as detailed as possible
    First, the hardware:
    27" iMac; OS X 10.6.2; 2.16GHz Core 2 Duo; 2GB RAM; GeForce 7600 (the $75 upgrade, if it maters)
    The Circumstances:
I have had Boot Camp installed with Windows XP for a about a year now, though I have had to reinstall Windows a number of times. Frequently this seems to have corresponded with playing Assassin's Creed, though this is maybe just a coincidence.
Most recently, (about a week ago) I installed Windows XP Black Edition, hoping it might fair a bit better, and everything ran well. Two days ago I booted up Assassin's Creed, and everything was fine until today. I was playing the game, paused it, got up, and when I came back the computer was frozen with a mess of garbled checkers displayed on the screen.
    The Problem:
I rebooted into Windows, and it locked up on a similar checkered screen.
I booted into Mac and it locked up during the grey apple logo.
I booted to the INSTALL DISC and it STILL froze during the grey apple logo.
HOWEVER, it will allow my to hold down option and pick which start disc I want it to freeze in, so it CAN access the firmware, but it CAN NOT get at either hard drive partition or the optical drive? All because it locked up during some game? Weird.
    What I Have Tried:
I have tried booting from multiple install discs (see above)
I have tried resetting the PRAM several times
I have unplugged every peripheral other than my keyboard and mouse
I have tried booting in Safe Mode
I have tried booting into Single User Mode (it WILL boot into this mode) and running the fsck -fy command
I have tried booting into Target Disk Mode (boots) and connecting it to my laptop, from which I ran a repair in Disk Utility: It completed successfully and said there were no issues.
    Other Clues:
It pretty much freezes up at the same point every time, right in the middle of the spinning wheel under the grey apple logo.
If I leave the computer the grey logo and pinwheel will disappear, leaving a just a grey screen.
Once it gave me the Kernel Panic screen instead of just locking up
If I boot in Verbose Mode the last couple lines before it freezes are:
Warning - com.apple.driver.InternalModemSupport declares no kernel dependencies; using com.apple.kernel.6.0.
    PeerGuardian log entries: 731 (40960)
However, sometimes verbose mode will switch to a blank grey screen rather than stick on those lines
Anyone got any ideas? Please? I hope.

    Quick correction: It's a 24" iMac, not a 27". I've been daydreaming I guess.

  • Assassin's Creed settings?

I recently got Assassin's Creed via Steam and have been playing it under Boot Camp (xp pro) and I'm wondering if anyone has any favorite graphical settings for smooth gameplay?
    The best balance I've gotten so far was: 1280x720, Shadows-2, Post-On, Quality-2, LOD-1, Multisampling-1, and Sync-Off. (if I remember correctly)
The multi-sampling doesn't look good at any setting and is very slow. Using the native 15" resolution looks much better but slows down considerably when shadows or anything are turned on. The shadows are also very slow but the game looks COMPLETELY different without shadows.
The last supposedly graphically demanding game I got, Dark Messiah was able to run at very high visual quality, very quickly on the Macbook Pro.. but not this game. I think UBI has not done the best of jobs in porting from console to Windows - which seems counterintuitive.

I never heard of the error number and a search of Apple's site did not show it either. I would move the existing backup file to a safe place and so that iTunes has to create an entire new one.  The backup is located here:
    Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
    Windows Vista and Windows 7: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Note: If you do not see the AppData or Application Data folders, you may need to show hidden files (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7), or iTunes may not be installed in the default location. Show hidden files and then search the hard drive for the Backup directory.

Assassins Creed is by far one of my favorite franchises of current games. Hench I am greatly looking forward to this release as well.
Once I get my $10 reward certificate for Witcher 3 I am going to pre-order this game.
Personally I would be very ok however, if the franchise would do away with the Abstergo aspect of the game.

  • Online Video Game trade in broken link for Assassin's Creed games or any games with an apostrophe

When you go to Best Buy's video game trade in site you cannot add Assassin's Creed games to your cart b/c it seems like in the link the apostrophe in the title "Assassin's" conflicts with the other apostrophes in the link. Therefore the link does work. BB needs to fix this now.

    Hi ceekay13,
I apologize for the lateness of my reply. As Batman1982 hinted at, we’ve been playing catchup on the forum boards ever since Thanksgiving, so I appreciate your patience while waiting for assistance.
After looking at the pricing differences you list, I too would rather visit the store to make sure I was getting the best value possible for my video games. I’m sure you were excited to get your hands on some new items using the credit you’d receive, so I’m sorry for any disappointment we may have caused when denying your trade-in request.
While I haven’t heard of us not being able to accept a trade-in based on how an order was fulfilled, please know some Best Buy locations aren’t able to process trade-in requests in the same way as others. This is because each store must follow the local ordinances their specific county has in place, and this could explain why we may have referred you to another store for assistance. Being from Minnesota though, I’m unfamiliar with Levittown’s trade-in restrictions, so please know I’m reaching out to local management to see what options we may have available. I hope to have some answers for you within the next couple of days.
    Thank you for your patience,

Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entries, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)
