Asset depreciation to internal order

Hi all,
Does anyone know if it is possible to post depreciation value of an asset to an internal order and how to achieve this?
We want to use internal orders as cost objects for our car fleet. Per car we will create an internal order, and all costs will be posted against this internal order. I wonder however if it is possible to have depreciation costs also be posted in the internal order in order to be able to see all costs of a car in de internal order.
Of course we will have our regular depreciation accounts in GL collecting depreciation costs bearing the depreciation costs, but I wonder if we can also post them statistically on the internal order.
Thx, Paul

Hi Paul,
It's possible; just define in asset master data (AS02) in the 'Time-Dependent' tab, the internal order instead of cost centre. If you do not see the field, change the layout in the customization (IMG - Financial Accounting - Asset Accounting - Master Data - Screen Layout - Define Screen Layout for Asset Master Data).

  • Posting of Depreciation to Internal Order

    Hello,
I have a scenario where Depreciation should be posted to Internal Order. I assigned the Internal Order in the Asset Master but still when I posted the Depreciation It is giving error stating that "Account requires an Assignment to a CO object"
I don't understand - Why the system not recognising the Internal order assigned in the Asset master as CO Object?
Please help to overcome this problem.

  • Posting Asset Acquisition to Internal Order

    Hello Gurus,
We are using an Investment Order to collect the actual acquisition cost of an asset.
ie, When we do F-90, we are assigning an Investment Order to the asset line item, but the problem is that after the posting of F-90, the value of the transaction does not reflect in the IO reports.
Please advice, what could be the cause and if there is any way in which the transaction can be reflected in the IO reports.

    Hey Sachin,
That was a really nice reply, thanks a lot.
However the scenario here is a little different. Here all procurement expenses are being posted thru PR and PO to an AUC and in such PO a Cost Center [for real posting] and a statistical Internal Order[Investment Order type] is being assigned.
So, here no settlement is taking place between the IO and the AUC.
Now, at the end the AUC is being settled to the final asset.
The users complaint [always complaining ; - )] is that when the AUC is being settled to the Final Asset, the value is not reaching the IO, where they have posted a budget and want to compare the actual with the budget.
Looking forward to hear soon from you.
    Thanks Again

  • Settlement rule for several assets but one internal order number

    Hi,
I have a question regarding the settlement rule for an internal order. I have issued an internal order number to capture costs for a construction project.  When the project is completed how do I update the settlement rule for the internal order to several assets all for different amounts?
For example an internal order number has collected costs of 150,000.00 for the completion of a building.  When the building is complete and I want to do a final settlement of the internal order.  I have one asset for land improvements for 43,000, another asset for the HVAC system for 33,000 and building costs of 74,000.  When updating the settlement rule I know to create the assets and update the settlement rule with these asset numbers, but I am unclear on how to assign multiple assets with differnt amounts.

    Hi ,
In the settlement rule , you need to select the Receiver as FXA and then enter the Asset number and then you will have to put the % that you want to settle to .
Like if you have 100/- Rs. total cost and you want to settle it to 2 assets in 60/- Rs. and 40/- Rs.
Then you will have to enter 2 line items in settlement rule with diffrent asset numbers and in proportion you will have to say 40 % and 60% , based on which the final settlement would happen .
So make the proportion changes in the settlement rule accordingly .

  • Asset Under Construction  Internal Order

    Dear Expert,
When I am making any entry in f-70 for procuring asset underconstruction, can I book it agaist internal oder.
I am asking this question because I saw the receiver category in allocation structure are cost element.
    Please suggest.
    Regards,
    David

    Hi,
As far as the cost elements are assigned in the allocation structure (individual cost element or cost element group), the postings can be done to an internal order. Else, the settlement of internal order will have an issue.
Please check the T.code you mentioned.

  • Asset Postings on Internal Order or Cost Center

    Hello All,
I created the Asset B/S Recon A/C as Cost Element 90 to have postings on cost Objects.
In ACSET - I customized both IO and CC to have APC postings and Depreciation postings.
But when I post an acquisition, Iam not seeing either an IO or CC in the Document.
    Am I missing some thing.
    Thanks.

    Hi Venkat,
Make the fields Cost center and CO/PP Order as optional in field status group that you will assign in GL Master Record.
I think for reconciliation account, we generally assign G067 field status group.  Go to T'code OBCD and double click on G067 - Reconciliation accounts - Additional account assignments and make those fields optional.

  • Depreciation posting to real internal order in ECC 6.0

    Hello SAP experts,
Our business scenario is we want to post the depreciation calculated on asset to Real Internal Order and not Cost Center.   We are implementing in ECC 6.0.
Q1 - what are the basic configuration required
Q2 - Internal order created will have which object - Overhead or Production or Investment.
    Please reply .
    abhay

    Dear Abhay,
You can check the Screen Lay out rules for your asset master data under Logical Field Group - Time Dependent Data. Normally you don't have Internal Order as a selection option for posting depreciation. However check there if you can insert field group for internal order as well there.

  • Settling investment internal orders to an asset (AA310 msg)

    hi.
I am wondering if somebody can shed some light for me on the following:
let's say we have 2 investment internal orders (representing 2 different projects) which are to be settled to one asset.
for the 1st order the job was done and the status changed to TECO in 2010. Upon full settlement (KO8G, full ) the cost has been settled to an asset (from AuC) and the asset has been capitalized. the capitalization (aquisition) date was set to the end of the period (e.g. Dec 31, 2010).
the status of the 2nd order has been changed to TECO in 2011. Currently when I'm trying to do a full settlement of the 2nd IO (with KO8G, partial capilazation) I'm getting AA310 (asset value date in diff year) as far as the system is trying to default the asset value date to date when the IO status was chagned to TECO (2011).  I do not want to default the asset value date on the KOG8 screen.
The question - what is wrong in my approach and what should I do in the case I have a second investment orders to settle to a final asset.
Sorry if I was not clear, i'm primarly an abaper but trying to understand some business processes related to internal orders and settlement. any information to understand this relationship would be appreciated.
    thank you,
    viktor

    Creation of Internal Order- KO01
Maintain Settlement receiver as the AUC asset
    Settle the Internal Order- KO88
Now the values have come to AUC asset
    Distribution of AUC- AIAB
Enter the Settlement receiver as the Main Asset
    Settlement of AUC- AIBU

  • Settlment from Internal order to asset

    Hi Guru!
I have some problem about integrate between Internal order  (Investment funtion) and Asset
I have Internal order master and assign investment profile in master  and in Internal order link to AUC automatic. End of period I input Asset no 100001 , 100002 in settlment rule  by Transaction code KOB5 (line item settlement orders and then) and I settlment by t. code KO88. The result is expense from Internal order transfer to AUC only not transfer to Asset no. 100001 , 100002. after settlment  in Asset module  have transcation type 116 Acquisition - internal settlement to AuC only  but not have 336,339 Acquirg transfer of curr-yr acquis from inv.meas.  I need 336, 339 for transfer value from AUC to Fixed Asset . How I solve this problem?
    thanks

    Hi,
In OAXG, select the transaction type 336 & 339.
In this go to Other features
Remove the tick from the Checkbox Cannot be used manually. Try to excute the transaction.

  • PO for ASSET Internal Order

    Hi,
Do we have a PO with Asset as AAC & Internal Order in Acct Assignment Tab of PO item details? I mean system does allow this in a same PO but I would like to know the significance of having such combination.
Request to share some inputs from the business & SAP perspective as well
    Rgds,
    BM

    Hi,
The internal order is a cost collector that is linked to other cost element such us: cost center, profit center, WBS element, sales order, etc.
The asset can has as an imputation object: WBS element, PM order, cost center, MM purchase order.
If you have two imputations objects is because you need to collect the costs with the internal order that gives an other cost point of view.
    Hope to help you,

  • Standard report for settled internal orders

    Hi All,
Is there any standard report available in Asset for settled internal orders.
We can able to see in S_ALR_87013019.  But all Internal orders are appearing.  I am not able to see settled orders.  How to identify those... (Like flag color difference should be required for settled and open).

  • PO and internal order

Hello i have a question concerning PO and Internal Orders.
I have created some Internal Orders and i have made a PO for assets with this internal order (internalorder1)
Now i have authorised a user with another internal order number.(internalorder2)
Can i somehow prevent a user to release POs for internal orders according to the authorised internal order.(internalorder2)
Maybe the authorization object k_order the field co_action???

If you use TCode SU24 to look at the authorization object checking for the object K_ORDER you will see that this object is not checked for TCodes ME21, ME21N, ME22, ME22N, ME23, or ME23N.  This is probably why you can still use any internal order whether you have it in your profile or not.  You might be able to add the authorization object to these to the MM_E Materials Management: Purchasing class.  I think you can use TCode SU21 to maintain these objects, but you need to check with your Basis/Security personnel.
As a test you can use SU24 to look at object M_BEST_EKO Purchasing Organization in Purchase Order.  You will find that it is checked in pretty much every PO creation or change TCode (ME21, ME21N, ME22, ME22N, ME23, ME23N, ME24, ME25, ME26, ME27, ME28, ME29N).

  • Internal Order - carryforward MIRO Invoice against MIGO receipt

    Hi,
    I have created an internal order (TCode KO04 & KO21 )
Allocated full budget for year 2007
Then I have linked it to an asset.
A Purchase Order is made with link to the asset.
A Goods receipt (MIGO) entry also was created against the PO
All these transactions are done in F.year 2007
At this point, the year-end procedure has completed.
For the internal order, when I try to do KOCO , zero amount is shown in the carryforward
because the actuals are posted by GRN.
When I do KOCF, there is no commitments to be carried forward to 2008.
Now I want to post the MIRO invoice agaist the above PO in period 01 of fyear 2008.
The system gives error - " The internal Order has no budget in 2008"
Since the GRN was done in 2007, I thought the Invoice should go through.
Now why the system is checking for budget in 2008  and giving the error ?
Help from anyone would be appreciated.

    Hi William,
    You did the following steps:
A Purchase Order is made with link to the asset. not the internal order???
A Goods receipt (MIGO) entry also was created against the PO
All these transactions are done in F.year 2007
I think the proces is now completed
The PO create the commitment (the budget is used)
The MIRO place the commitment on 0 an post actual values. (the budget is still used)
    Result
No values for carryforward Budget and commitments
Now I want to post the MIRO invoice agaist the above PO in period 01 of fyear 2008
Is this second time that you make the same posting???
There is no budget you used it already in 2007 and you get the error The internal Order has no budget in 2008
I think when I follow your process the system is working perferc and make it impossible to go over budget with your second invoice

  • Internal order number is not picking in Capital PO

    Dear All,
While creating capital PO the account assignment tab internal order number field is not getting updated. While entering the asset number the internal order number field shows blank.
Kindly advise me to rectify the setting, If I done wrong.
    Thanks...

Yes this is correct. How the system should know the internal order?
When you use a combination assets / internal orders the proces steps are:
    Create a investment internal order
Assign the PO to the internal order order.
The costs are posted on the IO
Settle the cost to the AUC
Final setle the costs from the AUC to the final asset

  • Internal orders to WBS Element

    Hi,
I,m working in a Project System implementation project, where all other modules are already in use.As per the existing process, Internal orders are created for asset accounting. Those are of statistical. All the purchase orders & costs are booked referring to the internal orders, the same cost is directly settled to Asset Under Construction or Asset. As the internal orders are created as statistical, there is no seperate settlement process & all the costs are directly settled either in AUC or in Asset as & when they are incurred(posted).
Now as we are implementing Project Systems, Internal orders are going to be replaced by WBS Elements. Customer requirement is the same process of online settlement of costs to Assets from WBS Element & he doen't want to settle seperately.
Now the issue is, 1) how the process can be mapped in SAP?
I feel creating the WBS elements as statistical, the same process can be mapped. Is it possible/
    2) As one project is already in progress & some postings have been taken place against internal orders, customer wants to see all those postings on new WBS element, now how to migrate the same to respective WBS element in the new system?
    Thanks
    Kishore

    Hi Kishore Ji,
For your question, simple answer is, you want to continue all AUC under Project Systems.  So far, you have considered statistical internal orders, anyway, which is not possible for you to settle directly.  So, please take that amount generate uploading document by using same account and using WBS element as debit and internal order as credit and status you release for internal orders.
WBS elements you create as statistical without selecting account assignment category.
    Your problem will be solved.
    Assign points without fail.
    ALL THE BEST.
