Can I assign more then one Equipement to Asset?

Thanks for all the inputs. I am closing this issues and also providing feedback which I have received from forum members and friends.
Can I assign more then one Equipement to Asset? - Yes this is possible and you can see all the equipment in asset master under allocation tab. You will be only able to see equipment no. under allocation tab once settings are activated. I was trying to look for equipment no in asset master but couldn't find because settings were not activated. Hope this will help.

Update Asset when creating Equipment

The following scenario I have setup. First I create a new asset. Then I create a Purchase order (PO) with Account Assignment Asset where I use the new created asset. In the PO I use a material with serial number profile. During the Goods Recipts (GR), de costs are automatically posted to the asset that was used in the PO. And during GR the Equipments are automatically created based on the serial number profile. So far so good. But this scenarios created no link between the asset and the equipment. And I know how to setup synchronization between assets and equipment, but that is if you create an equipment and you want automatically the asset to be created. In our case the asset was already created before the PO and all I want is that the asset is updated with the equipment number at the moment tha the equipment is created during GR. I hope anyone can help me with this.

I have linked the asset and material via equipment master a while ago. Please try below and let me know if you have any further questions.
Cofig-steps
1. Create a non-valuated Material 'Test' and assign serial no profile ex. 0001.
2. Configure a Asset Class (Ex. 2000) to create equipment along with asset (search IMG for 'Automatic Creation of Equipment Master Records')
Steps:
1. Create PO with Material 'Test' , Account Assignment Category 'A'. In ME21N, Create a new asset in asset class (ex. 2000). Equipment master is auto created.
2. GR the material with a serialnumber or use equipment# itself as serial#. Equipment gets added in the Product structure of the material.
3. Invoice posting assigns the value to asset.

Asset nnumber in equipment

Hello every one,
In equipment we can put asset number as maintained in FI. Now in my case i m not getting asset number as its very triggy to match equipment number with asset number. I Wanna know what can be in the system if i m not not putting asset number in equipment. As per the process is concern evey thing is going fine with out that. So is it possible we can ignore right now atleast and in future we can update.
Kindly help me in this as its really emergency.

Although there is no negative impact by not maintaining the Asset number,but from Finance Point of view you will not be able to reconcile the equipments with the Assets.This is of Importance particularly when someone wants to retire the assets and then sell off.Its good to have an asset number linked to the equipment so that we can reconcile the equipments with respect to asset master.

Need link between Equipment- class- characteristics- values...

Hi Guys,
As per the customers requirement I have to list down all the equipments along with the respective corresponding values. The equipments are linked to the Characteristics by class type and class and then characteristics and then the the values that are assigned.
I am aware that the characteristics and the values are saved in the CABN and CAWN table and the link between them us the internal number.
Can any one please suggest me if there is a way to find a table link for equipment which are assignd to a Class type and hence a class and then these characteristics in CABN and values in CAWN.

It seems my asset links (mostly images) get placed in the WRONG location after exporting

I've been using the test version of Muse for the part 10 days and have really been enjoying it! I'm about to launch my first site with it.
But! In my design mode, all the correct images are on the right page, and then often when I go to the "preview mode" or the "preview page in browser" or publish the website as a test, then it seems like the wrong photos (from other pages on my website) will then be displayed in another photo's spot.
As if, some bug caused the assets link's to get mixed-up when I export the website to view it live.
Here is my example. (NOTE - for both these pages, scroll to the SIDE, not down).
Here is one page on the website, notice this is the page for the WIRED store, all the images in here should be there

Now look at this different page for a different entry, but, some of the images from the WIRED store page (above) are now placed into this entry?????

Note, there should be OTHER images in the place where the image that says "WIRED" in blue is, same goes for the bottom half of that first image, in design mode, there is another image there.
As mentioned, in my "design" mode the photos are all in the correct places, it's only when I get to the preview/export modes where it seems the links to the assets gets mixed up.
Anybody have any idea about this bug or what I can do to change it?

I am having the same issue. I have three layered elements as three columns in the body of the page. When I add the farthest right element it pushes the other left elements to the bottom of the page. There are aren't any other elements on the page.
Is this a CSS issue? I thought about exporting to Dreamweaver and fixing it there but would like to take the easy route first.

Table Link between Equipment and Sub-equipment

Hi all
My requirement is this
I have one mobile set with a serial number. for that mobile set i have one battery with a serial number, now i want to link both the serial numbers, one as main and another as sub item
I tried by maintaining the battery serial number as sub-equipment in the main mobile set equipment number master,
Let me know the table link between equipment and sub-equipment
I want a report based on the input mobile set equipment number what are all the sub-equipment associated with the main equipment
Also suggest is there any other approach,

EQUZ is the table,if u give the sub equipment in equipment field and execute.you can find the main equipment in superior equipment field

Maintenance Orders can be linked with Equipment while creating in IW31.
Other Internal Orders will have their own featues. If the orders to be posted directly to some cost centers or some cost receivers, CO people may create the orders directly using KO01.

Does any one know how Fixed Assets links to the Purchasing ledger? As I have looked high and low and can't find any table mappings or anyway the ledgers link, this is a problem as I am struggling to track an asset back to a Purchase Order.
I have looked at http://etrm.oracle.com with no joy and any help with this would be great.

try to relate these tables with OBJEK, CLINT, ATINN, EQUNR, HEQUI, IMERK

Establish the link between equipment and its standby equipmnent

Dear experts
How to establish the link between equipment and its standby equipmnent in SAP?
For example, I have one pump in a plant and also i have a standby pump installed next to it...now i would like to establish a relation between these two inorder to track them.
I tried linking them as subequipments, but logically that is not sub equipment.
what is the best way to do it?

Equipment & Standby equipments are installed on same Function location.
There are below workarounds for solutions.
1. Use Position Number
2. Use A,B,C indicator with Running & Standby status
2. Use link if it is applicable.
3. Use classification system & provide characteristic as Running / Standby
Further u can assign the System condom which is equivalent to equipment running or stop condition during transactional data creation like order..
If it is running it indicates it is working.
If it is in stop condition then at that time it is in standby mode.

Assignment of the asset during the equipment creation

Hello everyone,
I am currently working on the PM-AA interface which consists in linking the asset field (ITOB-ANLNR) of an equipment with the asset number given in the purchase order. The goods receipt (MIGO) creates automatically an equipment (thanks to the serial number profile of the materiel).
As the purchase order contains the asset, I expected that the system would put this value in the corresponding field of the equipment.
In the customizing, we have made the following changes :
- equipment is modified synchronously with tha asset modification
- the assignment of master data fields of assets and equipment includes the asset fields itself
- the serial number profile is assigned to the material and allow the creation of the equipment during the goods receipt.
Has someone already experienced this case? What do I have to do to have the asset number saved in the equipment during its creation?

Thanks for you answer.
I've already checked these customizing aspects but tjey are not saisfying enough : my customer wants the equipment to be created at the goods receipts in order to save the serial number registered during the reception.
Furthermore, I'm not sure of the process if I create the equipment formerly : will it take into account the material and serial number that are given during the reception of the goods? And how does the system react with more than one equipment?

Assets linked to Custom Objects

Hi All,
I'm trying to find a way to represent the link between a Custom Object and an Asset. I know I can create an Asset under a Custom Object as a related record, but if I look at the details for that Asset, there is no field I can locate that will indicate the link between the Asset and the Custom Object record.
I'd appreciate any advice on how I can overcome this problem.

Unfortunately though I can't really use the vehicles record type as I'm somewhat restricted by my current system design.
So does this mean that there is no field on the main Asset record type that can link to any of the Custom Object record types?

Where is the Assets link for Dreamweaver?

The beginning users tutorial for Dreamweaver tells the user at 1:30 to download the Assets from a link at the top of the page, however there is no link. Please advise.

Since adobe muse older versions, asssets files are missing when changing the location or computer. For example develop some project on "desktop" when it move to another location( ex: Another partition or folder with different name), assets says links are missing, we have to relink all assest, is there are any way to fix it? why is that keep happenings? when i design muse templates to sell, it is serious problems to me .

You can then turn JSP compilation off on the server.

Asset Linked to HR

Asset Master created in FICO. MM purchased the Assets through purchase order and it will be updated in FICO.
In this case Laptob and mobile phone is purchased and handed over to the staffs.Is it possible to link that asset to the particular staff which was availbale in the HR Master. I am talking about the direct link to the HR module against the particular staff. Because the client want to know the asset under employee at the time of releiving the organisation.
There is option in HR in text form what are the assets given to the employee. But the client is asking at the time of asset creation itself it linked to HR employee master record or HR to access the asset master in HR module regarding the particular asset.
Is it possible to link FICO to HR or HR to FICO. Expecting suggestions.
