Asset Master Data not updated

Quantity purchased via PO is not updating the master data of the newly created fixed assets.
When created and inserted into any number, the amount is updated with the purchase.
What do you make the purchase of newly created assets are properly updated in the asset master data?

  • Master Data not updating

    We have found that are master data text isn't updating in APO from BW.  I can see that the data is in the APO PSA but doesn't reflect in the master data object.  We tried deleting the master data but the application advises that you cannot delete master data that's being referenced.
    Are these problems related?
    Why will the master data descriptions not update?
    Please suggest a solution.

    We have are pulling the description text from BW into APO via a master text load.  I am loading the data into the PSA and then into the maste data object.  The PSA shows the correct description.  When I view the master data, the description is empty.  We are updating 0LANGU, QSMATNR, and 0TXTLG.  When I look at the info object table /BIC/TQSMATNR, there are no table entries.

  • Depreciation area set in Asset Class does not appear in asset master data

    Depreciation area does not appear in the asset master data however it is set in the Asset class. If other asset is created in the same Asset class that depreciation area is automatically set  in the asset master (it proofs that it is not a problem with Asset class).
    I tried to set that deprecition area directly in the asset master data but all the fields are blocked for changing (is it possible to change that?).
    What should I do as I need to post on that area ?
    Thank you,
    Jean

    Ok Zaid!  thanks,
    But what treatment should I give to that asset? Because now it is not being evaluated in that area but we need to do it.
    The asset was created in the prior exercise (year).

  • Asset master data synchronization with HR Master data

    Dear Experts:
                          I am FI consultant and i am doing Research on Synchronization of asset master data with HR master data. Our management wants that if company gives any thing which is regarded as an asset e.g Laptop, expensive tools e.t.c to its employee then beside opening its asset master data in FI it should also be updated in HR Employee master data. For this from FI side there are 3 asset classes for which we want that if any asset is opened in these classes then the data should be updated in HR. I have turned on Personnel number in screen layouts and have fetched this field in asset reports. We want
    1...Asset Description
    2...Cost Center
    to be updated in HR master data. Now my question is that how this can be achieved. Is it possible? What configuration will need to be done for it.
    Regards

    Hi
    FOr assets created in FI and reflect them in HR use the feature ANLAC and it will take care.
    This feature determines whether or not the system checks the fields Asset number in infotype 0040 (Internal Control) and Loan object number  in infotype 0040 (Objects on Loan) against database ANLA.

  • ADF master-detail master selection not updating detail tables properly

    Hi All,
    I am using JDev version : 11.1.2.0.0
    I created new Fusion Web Application Module. In that module I created a master-detail data model and added them to a page fragment with a query panel. When I run it as a separate module, It works perfectly and Master selection correctly updates detail tables.
    But when I integrate that module to another Fusion Application(Add application jar file to the Master Application libraries), Master-details master selection not updating detail tables properly. This problem occurred sequentially.
    The problem is that.
    After the page load, first selection of the Master Table works correctly and detail tables update correctly.
    But second selection doesn't work, means detail table doesn't get update according to the Master table.
    And again in the third selection works correctly.
    This happens in a sequential manner. I monitor the behavior using Firebug. Observations are as follows,
    When running correctly, Response of the Post Definition is

    Hi,
    sound to be an implementation specific issue that is hard to comment on without knowing how to reproduce it. If you have a rerooducible test case based on the Oracle HR schema using JDeveloper 11.1.1.6, zip it up, rename the "zip "extension to "unzip" and sent it to the mail address you find in my OTN profile. If you don't have that test case, explain how this can be reproduced

  • About settlement, asset master data's amount column value

    Dear Experts,
    I  build an aseet master data :   A (the amount column's value is 0 in asset master data)
    Then, I build an asset purchase order  assign to A , after I  do GR,  A's amount column's value change to 1.
    But if as follows,
    I  build two asset master data :  B and C ,
    B's asset catalog is 167200(prepay for equipment) , c's asset catalog is 153100 (normal fixed asset)
    Then , I build an asset purchase order assign to B, then do GR , B has amount 1, and then ,
    I  do t-code: AIAB , settlement B to C , I found B's amount column's value still show 1 , and C is still 0 ,
    but the asset value certainly has transfer  from B to C......
    why B's amount column's value doesn't be changed?
    I can't figured out.
    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Hi
    If B is still showing value - It means values are not settled
    After AIAB - You need to run AIBU to settle the values.. Did you run AIBU??

  • Modify fixed asset master data thru migo

    Hi experts,
    I make PO with account assigment 'fixed asset'. This asset is created during the PO creation. When materials arrive more fields of that fixed asset master data are known (ie serial number). I'd like to have a way to save those data in asset during the GR without using 2 different transactions.
    In MIGO t/c i see the fixed asset number and double clicking on it i access to display asset: master data (as i was on AS03 tc).
    Do you think a way to call AS02 (change asset master data) thru MIGO exists?
    Best regards,
    Ruben

    Hi Ruben,
    Did you find a solution to your problem? I have a similar requirement.
    I was planning on using the user-exit MBCF0005 to call a pop-up screen where the user can input the serial number and from there calling the BAPI to update the asset.

  • Custom Field in Asset Master Data

    Dear Experts,
    I want to ask about a problem I'm having when adding a new field in Asset Master Data ( AS01 & AS02 ).
    I'm adding new field on the Time-dependent Tab. I already create the exit & the new custom field, and with the help of the functional registered the new field.
    I'm using a new installed SAP GUI 7.3 .
    The problem is that the new field doesn't appear when I access the tcode unless I click on the new field location.
    The problem seem doesn't appear in SAP GUI 7.1 & 7.2.
    Is there any setting that need to be done or this is the problem with the SAP GUI 7.3
    Thank you.

    Hi Karim
    You can go through the steps below to customize the field u2018Planned. retirement onu2019
    1, AS02 -> Menu: Environment -> screen layout -> Master data -> select layout and double click on Logic field group -> Select Logic field group 2 u2018Posting informationu2019 and double click on field group rules -> Change field group 13 to u2018Suppressed entry fieldu2019.
    Alternatively
    2, Use AO21 to customize the field as above.
    Note: field u2018Planned. retirement onu2019 in asset master is connected to the function u2018Simulate up to planned retirement dateu2019 in asset reports. After field u2018Planned. retirement onu2019 of asset master data is deactivated, the function u2018Simulate up to planned retirement dateu2019 in asset report will be disabled.

  • User Exit - Create Asset Master Data from MIGO

    Hi Experts,
    I want to create an asset master data from Good Receipt Purchase Order, when the user saves the document, but I didn't find none user exit, BADI or BAPI that I can use.
    Cuold you help me?
    Thank a lot.
    Kind Regards
    Giampaolo

    Hi,
    Why you want to create the Asset master at the time of MIGO.
    Posting MIGO is end user activities and Creation of Asset is of Super User, he have to assign cost center plant etc in master which will not be known by the end user and can create lot of problem in later stage.
    If we create Asset it MIGO or PO level how user know that he have to post to new asset or to existing asset. This decision is of Finance person.
    If it is that important in your business process then give the authorization of Asset Master data creation to User.
    I personally feel this requirement is not feasible.

  • How to display field Functional Location Field in Asset Master Data

    Dear Experts,
    I really appreciate for your advices on how to display Functional Location Field in Asset Master data.
    I have checked the configuration on path IMG:\Financial Accounting->Asset Accounting->Master Data->Screen Layout->Define Screen Layout for Master Data
    I have chosen the screen layout and review all Logical Field Groups. And there's no field "Functional Location" is available. I also didn't find "Add New" button to add "Functional Location" field.
    Thank you
    Best regards,
    Frans

    Dear Frans,
    I am sorry this is not possible.
    Note 140482:
    The field was created as a precaution. However, it is not being used at
    present and consequently is not supplied.
    In particular, you cannot use the field as a criterion for a selection
    in Asset Accounting reporting. This is still true even if this field has
    been included in the selection view delivered for the dynamic selections
    by modification.
    regards Bernhard

  • How to put equipment no. in Asset master data  (manulaly)

    Hi Guru
         I have implement Asset module and link asset no. to equipment no. come from  Plant maintenance module. How I can put the equipment no. in field  equipment number / Tab Allocations  in Asset master data .  How I can do?
    thank you very much

    Hi
    You must have selected 'No synchronize' in Asset accounting for automatic equipment creation view-Specify Conditions for Synchronization of Master Data.
    If you wish to assign equipment to Asset after creation of equipment that means you have equipment number with you which is not assigned to any of the Asset and now you want to assign this to Asset master .
    Please go to IE02 and go to Organisation tab, here you need to assign your desired asset and save it.
    Now go to As03 and see allocation tab, you will find the assigned equipment number here.
    If you wish to let system assign equipment number automatically then please the settings in SPRO Asset accountingMasterdata - Specify Conditions for Synchronization of Master Data-Specify Conditions for Synchronization of Master Data to direct synchronization after savings, then you will not be required to assign equipment number manually, as soon as you will create an asset it will create equipment master as well for that asset and you can see in allocation tab, you can also deleat an equipment master if you don't want to create equipment master for a particular asset before saving the asset record.
    Cheers
    Mukta

  • How to include depreciation are in  asset master data

    I have already activated depreciation area in the asset class but it did not appear inn asset master data.
    How to include it there?
    Tks,
    Naej

    Hi,
    There are 2 aspect which you need to consider.
    1) For exisiting asset as  used AFBN as suggested by Srinivasa to activate the depreciation area.
    2) For new asset OAYZ configuation would populate the dep key and life.
    Thanks

  • Access master data in update rules

    Hi,
    I try to calculate a weight in my update rules. Therefore I need the product weight and the number of peaces. I try to read the product weight from master data. The problem is, that it always calculates zero as the result. Is it possible to read master data in update rules?
    If I try to calculate the weight in the transfer rules, I get the message in the monitor, that the transfer rules don't finish. Do you have an idea what to do?
    Regards,
    Gabi

    Hi Robert,
    here is my code in the update rule.
    fill the internal table "MONITOR", to make monitor entries
      DATA: l_s_errorlog TYPE RSMONITOR.
      data: temp_prod_weight type /BIC/PZL2_P_ID.
    general values
      RESULT = COMM_STRUCTURE-/BIC/ZL2_POTMW.   "weight
      UNIT = COMM_STRUCTURE-UNIT_OF_WT.
      RETURNCODE = 0.
      ABORT = 0.
    calculate weight from master data, if it is zero
      IF COMM_STRUCTURE-/BIC/ZL2_POTMW = 0
      or COMM_STRUCTURE-/BIC/ZL2_POTMW = '0'
      or COMM_STRUCTURE-/BIC/ZL2_POTMW is initial.
        select single /BIC/ZL2_NETW UNIT_OF_WT
        from /BIC/PZL2_P_ID
        into corresponding fields of temp_prod_weight
        where /BIC/ZL2_P_ID = COMM_STRUCTURE-/BIC/ZL2_P_ID
        and objvers = 'A'.
        if sy-subrc <> 0.
          l_s_errorlog-MSGTY = 'I'.
          append l_s_errorlog to MONITOR.
          RESULT = 0.
    abort, if calculation is not possible
          ABORT = 1.
        else.
          RESULT = temp_prod_weight-/BIC/ZL2_NETW
    COMM_STRUCTURE-/BIC/ZL2_POTMQ.
          UNIT = temp_prod_weight-UNIT_OF_WT.
        endif.
    ENDIF.

          OUTPUT_INVALID             = 4
          OVERFLOW                   = 5
          TYPE_INVALID               = 6
          UNITS_MISSING              = 7
          UNIT_IN_NOT_FOUND          = 8
          UNIT_OUT_NOT_FOUND         = 9
          OTHERS                     = 10
      IF SY-SUBRC <> 0.

        append l_s_errorlog to MONITOR.
        UNIT = COMM_STRUCTURE-UNIT_OF_WT.
        RESULT = COMM_STRUCTURE-/BIC/ZL2_POTMW.
      ELSE.
        UNIT = 'KG'.
      ENDIF.
    I'm loading via PSA, but I have problems to debug the code. If I set a break point in my code (command break-point), I can't stop at it.
    Thanks,
    Gabi
