Asset Quantity how value is generated?

Dear Experts,
I'm very new in FI-AM. Appreciate your advise on how quantity is updated in Asset master. Is it from PO only?

Hi,
Qty for asset master would be updated automatically as soon the GRN made for asset PO or F-90.
Prerequisite: The unit of measure in asset master and PO should match.
No need to enter qty value manually in asset master, when creating it with AS01.

How to update Quantity and Value in Licences for Deemed Export

Dear All,
Could you please let me know where I have to update the Quantity and Value of Licence in case of Deemed export.
I am not aware much about Deemed export. I hope CT3 is the licence, against which we have to maintain the Value or Quantity.
While creating ARE3 documet, Quantity or Value will be reduced from the Licence.
Kindly update me regarding this.

Hi,
First of all you need to mainataiin Number ranges for T.code:SNRO
1.Licence :J_1ILIC
2.Are3 :J_1IARE3
3.Create License In T.code : J1ILIC01
4.Create ARE 3 T.code: J!IA301.
4. Enter the license details in the item tab of ARE Create document.
on Posting the ARE 3 document Quantity and Value will reduces from the Licence. you can check again in

We have to charge some interest on asset last year but we have not charged it.
Now asset value is zero and if we charge interest on it, it will go to negative.
That's we are thinking to create new asset with negative value.

Purchase order with quantity range value

Hi All,
I want to have PO price to be taken from vendor info with quantity based values.
For ex: The vendor has fixed a rate for 500 qty with X rate. and above 500 qty Y rate.
My scenario is i want to raise the PO with this rate. How can i do this?
Note: If i do first PO with 300 qty, then rate it is taking is X*300
Now if i do second purchase order, with 300 qty, then the first 200 qty should go with X rate and remaining 100 should go with Y rate. ie, this purchase order will have combination of X & Y rate.
Please give the solution for this.

U can perform this pricing by doing some modification in ur conditon type...
In M/06 open ur condition type and under Scale tab...chooose scale type ..here assign scale type "D" i.e. Graduated-to interval sc
And config the scale in purchase-info record..
S Type    s quantity     amount
     to            200               X
                     300               y
then it will calculate : 200X+100y=Z
try this out...

An error message appeared when using transaction ABST2.
"Asset balance sheet values are not completely posted".
What can be the reason?
How can I check what is missing?

Run a normal asset report on G/L account and compaire this with the values on the G/L account.
When there are differences you can use transaction code ABF1 with trans type 100. With this transaction you can post on the asset account whitout using an asset number.
The results in the transaction ABST2 is difficult to understand. This was a transaction that was used with the Euro conversion. When there are difference it dont block the fiscal year change.

Check in SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Account Assignment > Maintain Account Assignment Categories > Here for "A", check "Asset" is in Display mode, if yes then make it "optional" and then try in ME32K.

In config Purchasing->Messages->Output Control->Message Determination Schemas->Define Message Schema for PO, under 'Assign Schema to Purchase Order', if the 3rd indicator from the right 'New message determination process for change messages' is NOT selected, only changes are printed in the changed PO's.
Are you using standard print program and SAPScript?
Also under config Messages->Message Type->Define Message Type for PO->Fine-Tuned Control: Purchase Order, make sure you have operation '2' for PO output type.

Query regarding Asset quantity.

Dear Experts,
I have query regarding Asset quantity.
While creating Goods receipt (MIGO) users give the Material (Asset) quantity but when I check in Asset master or in any sap asset reports system not show the quantity in Asset master or any Asset report. Although I have checked in all SAP Standard reports but quantity not updated in any reports. Let me know if I need to do any configure in Asset.
I also want to know that how System posts the quantity automatically in Asset master after doing MIGO/MIRO?
Please provide the best solution.

In Asset Master Data update the unit of measure in Quantity field. When you post through a MIRO document or F-90 whatever the quantity input is updated in the asset master record.

Legacy Asset Net Book Value is Zero-Want to post Sale of Asset for the same

I have Scenario
We have upload the legacy Assets in Year 2005. One of the Asset Net Book Value is Zero. When we are trying to post Asset Retirement, the for that Asset following is error message received:
"Retirement of Old Assets data not possible (No Existing old Asset Data).
Though in the books the Net book value is Zero, we have received profit on sale of Asset.
How post the profit on Asset & also how to take it from the gross block.

so not a transaction type with old asset data like 210.

Editable ALV- Quantity field value is getting changed while double clicking

I have created Editable ALV grid using Class concepts. Quantity field is editable in dat. but after changing value and if im double clicking on that field, value is getting changed. eg: 45 is changing to .045. How can i resolve this problem.

U have displayed the ALV.In that grid u have quantity field.U have changed the value of that field to 45.
When u press enter the value has been changed to .045.Is this u r problem.
U can do onething anu.
Declare one varaible with the local field.
Pass u r quantity field value into that variable.
While displaying thriugh SET_TABLE_FIRST_DISPLAY in your internal table pass this variable.
It will solve u r problem.I think.

Dynamic prompt means user can enter value at run time (Report Refresh Time).
You can create dynamic prompt by drag one object in the webi query filter part and select as a prompt.
or on the universe level define the pre-defined condition and use that in the webi report.
