Asset special dep date default

Hi Gurus,
The requirement is that the special depreciation date for an asset class should be defaulted to 01/01/2007
This is with reference to the depreciation key ZZZZ wherein we charge special depreciation at a rate of 50% on the acquisition value. We need to maintain the special depreciation start date as 01/01/2007 .
is there any way of to configure this other than substitution.

Hi In your depreciation key you can use period control. There are some available in SAP. With the period control key it placed the depreciation start date based on the capitalization date from you asset.
Example: Cao date 10.06.2007 then depr start date is 01.01.2007
With the Multilevel method you can set up the levels you want to use:
Like
period 1 50 %
period 2 10 %

  • Asset-Building legacy data

    Dear all
There is scenario for Asset-Building in legacy data......for building there are many line items...for e.g.
    1. Building is  purchased
    2. then some addition in this asset(with other date)
    etc.
Now how to upload this assets in the system.....
    regards

    Hi,
    Now i got confuse..
You want to upload the asset data in SAP form your Legacy system... Correct
If it is so then you have 2 option
    1. you can upload the asset in SAP by creating different Asset code base on different acquisition made in same asset in your legacy.and upload the dep differently.
    2. You consolidate the value of all the year and upload in one asset in sap
Total Acquisition value and total Dep on all the asset

  • Change Asset Deprec.Area Date

    Hi Gurus,
In AS02 i am changing the sub asset deprec.Area Date but system is not allowing.
    That area is not active.
    Asset Capitalized on 31.12.2009.
    First Acquisition on 31.12.2009.
    Acquisition year 2009/012.
I Want to change manually the deprec.area date.
    Please suggest me.
    Regards,
    Veera.

    Hi Veera
You can change your default Asset Value Date for various transactions by following this path -
SPRO-> Financial accounting-> Asset accounting--> Transactions--> Specify how default asset value date is determined ---> Define variant....
Make changes to what you want your default Asset Value date as.
Note, it affects all your assets in the Co. Code. (because the variant is assigned to the Co.Code)
    Hope this helps.
    Regards

  • While asset upload dep is not calculated

    Hi,
When asset uploaded dep is not calculated can i calculate it now
    please help me
    thanks
    Radha

Check the dates for Legacy Asset Data Transfer
Asset AccountingAsset Data TransferParameters for Data TransferDate SpecificationsSpecify Transfer Date/Last Closed Fiscal Year
Note down the year that is mentioned.
Then go to Asset AccountingAsset Data TransferParameters for Data TransferDate SpecificationsSpecify Last Period Posted in Prv.System (Transf.During FY)
Check the period upto which the depeciation is posted in legacy system.
Chek the freequency of depreciation posting in OAYR.
Go to asset explorer AW01N and see in the posted values tab the status.
IF the settigns are in sync and the depreciation was not calculated at the time of giving the data for cutover now you can run this basing on the settings in OAYR. All the depreciation will be posted in the current period. This will have an effect on costing if product costing is in place.

  • 4.0 EA3 - Data Default not duplicated when copying a table

I noticed that when copying a table from one schema to another, if a column has a data default property it is not preserved.
    Steps to recreate:
Copy a table that has at least one column with a non-null DATA_DEFAULT property (right click on table -> table -> copy)
Double click on the new table, and open the Columns tab. Notice that all values under DATA_DEFAULT are null.

The same behavious exists in 3.2.20.09 and whether the table has existing data or not.

  • DEP (Date Execution Prevention) Closed iTunes due to security reason

I just bought a new laptop (SONY SR) operated with Window Vista. My laptop never run iTunes since I installed it. I tried uninstall and reinstall again n again, but it just doesn't work.
A screen appeared and say that iTunes stopped working, DEP (Data Execution Prevention) has closed iTunes due to security reason.
How do I off that "DEP"? Thanks!!!

Hi, I just got this problem solved. Hope it helps.
You don't have to turn off DEP or reinstall any program.
The only thing you need to do is associate your Quicktime files ONLY to QuickTime player.
When you open QuickTime it will automatically pop up a window to ask you if you want to fix file association. The answer is positive of course.
If it still doesn't work maybe you could uninstall some codec / media players which associate with QuickTime files.

  • Determine posting to an asset between two dates

    Hello all,
How do you calculate the postings made to an asset between two dates?  I looked at the logical database ADA, but got lost in the source code.
For example, if these posting were made to an asset between start & end date, the total I would want would be $300.
    Post $200
    post $100
    post $200
    reserse the 2nd $200.
    Thanks
    Bruce

    Press F3 or back button
Explode the Documnet Header and select List Filed and Selection Field check box for 1. Company Code 2. Main Asset Number, 3. Asset Sub Number,4. Fiscal Year, 5. Sequence Nuber, 6. Document Date or any other date on the basis of which you want to check the postings (e.g. posting date, entery date, asset valud date etc).
    Press Execute button and enter.
A Report selection will appear, put the company code other parameters you have with you inclduing the date and execute again.

Anybody has experience with extracting Special Ledger data from ECC through ALE/IDoc interface?
Because Special Ledger is cutom to any client, I'm thinking we need to create a custom IDoc type. I didn't notice any standard IDoc type. Any documentation or any tips on this will be appreciated.

  • Paradox concerning DEP (Data Execution Prevention) when opening LabVIEW

When I try to launch LabVIEW, DEP (Data Execution Prevention) prevents me from opening it. I have followed instructions and attempted to make an exception for LabVIEW, but I get a message saying the following:
"This program must run with data execution protection (DEP) enabled.
You cannot turn off DEP for this program."
It seems that I need this "DEP" program to run LabVIEW, but at the same time it is keeping me from running it. Help would be very much apprecaited.
    Thanks in advance!
    Cailin

    Hello Cailin,
The Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a security feature included in
modern Microsoft Windows operating systems that is intended to prevent
malicious code from running on the system.
Here are two methods to fixing this problem:
    Method 1:
Follow these steps to add an exception for the program from the DEP error message:
When you receive the error message click Change Settings.
Select the check box next to the program, and then click Apply.
When you are prompted to restart your computer, click OK two times, and then restart your system.
    Method 2:
You can also add an exception for the program by using System Properties in Control Panel. To do this, follow these steps:
Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl, and then click OK.
Click the Advanced tab, click Performance, and then click Settings.
In Performance Options, click the Data Execution Prevention tab, and then click Add.
In the Open dialog box, locate and then click the program.
Click Open, click Apply, and then click OK. When you are prompted to restart your computer, click OK.

  • I have recently had to have my PC software re-installed due to a virus attack. When I have re installed iTunes my computer keeps closing it with a message that DEP (Data Execution Programme) will not allow iTunes to function. How can I resolve this?

I have recently had a full re-install of my computers software however once I have re installed iTunes it wont allow it to stay open and a message window reads iTunes has been closed due to DEP (Data Execution Programme). How can I resolve this issue?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT as you start iTunes) then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.
