Asset transfer from an affiliated company with depreciation

Hello - Can you tell me how I can translate the following business scenario in SAP ?
1) An asset is purchased from an affiliated company. This company is represented as an inter-company vendor in our company code.
2) The initial value of the asset in affiliated company is 100 EUR. And it is depreciated with an amount of 30 EUR in the affiliated company.
3) In our books we would like to show the depreciation in the legacy system and continue depreciating the asset with NBV 70 EUR.

Can anyone shade light on preconfiguration of intercompany & intracomapny asset transfer (with revenue & without revenue)

    Dear Rupesh,
Go to transaction AO74 and double click on transaction type 210, there in posting type section choose selection button as Post to affiliated company and Gross and SAVE.
I hope by making the above changes, you will able to post the Intercompany asset transaction.
This will help you to solve you issue. If you have any doubts feel free to share.

  • Asset transfer from company code to company code

    Hi ,
I want to transfer assets from one company code located in India to another company code located in the US. The existing configuration is as under.
Both the the company codes share the same "chart of accoutns" but the "chart of depreicaiton" and the "controlling areas" of the above two company codes are different.
The client wants to transfer the assets at net book value.
In the above scenario (1) is it possible to transfer the assets.
    (2) shall we have identical depreciation areas in both COD's
    (3) what would be transaction variant should we use? and the its mapping the transaction types in "Define Transfer Variants" node?

  • Asset transfer from one company code to other

    Hi,
I have a scenario to transfer asset from one company code to another company code due to merger.
Say two company codes X & Y. From 01.04.14 onward Y merged with X  only X exists from that date
So we want to transfer the assets from Y to X as on 01.04.14  and values of those assets should reflect in X with Gross Value and Accumulate dep posted in Y already.
For that we are trying to post the same through ABT1N by selecting no revenue and tranfer variant as 1. ( i dont want system to calculate and post any reveneue
I want following entry to be posted during tranfer
DR Gross value in X CC
CR Gross value in Y CC
DR Accmulated dep in Y CC
CR Accumulated dep in X CC
system should not post to P&L GL during transfer.
Or is there any other method through which we can address this..
    Thanks
    Karthikeyan G

    Hi Karthik
There is more to it than mere asset transfer
Usually, during merger, the assets are reevaluated . In thatcase, it helps to retire the assets in Y and rrecreate them in X..
If you are just taking the assets as-is, then do Abt1n.. Note that the acc entry won't match in each company unless the clearing account is brought in..
    In Y:
It has to be Dr. Accum dep , Cr. APC and the balance goes to a clearing account
Similarly in X, same thing will happen

    Hi,
Do a return to vendor from the first plant, modify the PO to include another line item to be received by the other plant and you can set the deletion flag for the first line item.
This assuming that there is no invoice posting is done.. if yes.. then credit memos also come into picture.

  • Transfer from FCP to Motion with video effect

I am trying to transfer a clip from fcp that has a video effect (matte) wehn I open it in motion the matte is no longer there, how to I transfer the clip into motion with the effect still intacted?

None of your effects will carry over to Motion. Speed changes, color corrections, keys, etc... Why? See this:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=1375867&#1375867
You can do as avidvid says and export to "fix" your effects then bring the file back in, but that won't carry the alpha over...

  • How drive ejb beans from such as COMPANY with..

I am very new to EJBs but would like to give a try and dooooooooooooo it of course. Now, I understnad how to write jave(ejb interfaces and classes) but makes me small is how define ejb beans from my bosses speach. He says we need to ....... so for example COMPANY(company name, contact, references + more) could be our business objects. HAH!
So pmy roblem is what should be an ejb bean and what should be ejb bean fields.
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    gapter

Its really not that difficult really. First - if you decide that your business object is going to be a Bean - Determine if it should be an EJB or just a regular Java Object bean in which case you'll probaly just use a Java Bean. The two are very similar with the exception that JB's are not Distributed but can do most of the grunge work that an EJB is suppose to do.
Next, determine what business methods or transactions are most likely to be done to your Business Object. This should determines the interface. So far that's all routine.
If you are decide that an EJB is what your problem demands (after much research into your problem) - then ask if your business object will be persistent (exist for a long time and will need storage (say on a persistent storage media like in a database) Or whether it will just require session scope (or just to be present the duration of a transaction/session - like say a shopping cart). The former requires a Entity Bean, the latter a Session Bean.
You then create your implementation code in a NameOfClassEJB class. A Container Management class NameOfClassHOME, and of course your Business Method Interface called NameOfClass.
The BMI (business method Interface class) is trivial. Your EJB class however will contain all the implementation required to get work done depending on the choice of Implementation - that is, whether you wish to handle all transactions (Bean Managed) or if you would rather delegate to the Container to handle Storage Issues (Container Managed). With Container Management - You get a lot for free - like concurrency control, database connectivity is trivial, distributed transaction management is trivial, field updates in your database is totally out of your hands. etc ...
For a beginner - its better if you take time to study the ejb lifecycle, the J2EE Business Architecture, then the solution that they proposed for application development. This is not trivial and has a steep learning curve.
    Have fun.
Next determine if you want to handle all of the transactions between the properties (or fields) in the bean or you'd like the Application Server's Container to do this for you. (Most EJB's at least the simple ones are better off being handled by the Container).

  • Transfer from PC to Mac with My Book

I recently switched from a PC to Mac, and bought a Western Digital My Book to transfer my files. I transferred all the files from my PC to the My Book, however my Mac could not open the My Book because it was not formatted for a Mac. So I reformatted the hard drive to work with a Mac, but now I can't reload the files from my PC to the My Book. Windows says that the drive is read only. Is there any way I can format this drive to transfer my files?

Format the drive to MS-DOS from the Disk Utility on the Mac or FAT32 if possible on the PC.

  • How can i transfer from windows to mac with my catalogue ?

hello, how is the best way to transfer my catalogue from windows (8.1) to mac (yosemite) ?

Is Apple compatible with Microsoft Office?
Any computer is compatible as long as it can read and write Office files. But for perfect (or at least near perfect) compatibility, you would want to purchase Office 2011 for Mac.
How can I transport from Windows to Mac?
You can't directly transport any installation of Windows. All PC's come with a machine specific version of Windows intended for that PC. They don't have all of the hardware drivers the retail disks cover.
If you want Windows on your Mac, you would first purchase a full version copy (NOT an upgrade disk) of Windows 7 or 8. Those are the only supported versions on newer Macs. You install it through the supplied Boot Camp utility that comes with the Mac to create a new partition for Windows, and then install the retail copy of Windows you purchased.
The reason only these versions of Windows are supported is the same basic reason as a machine specific version of Windows for a PC. Apple only includes the necessary Mac hardware drivers for Win 7 or 8 on new Macs.
Once Windows is installed, you could then install the version of Office for Windows you already own. The nuisance of a Boot Camp partition is that you have to physically boot to either Windows or OS X, so you can only use the apps of the OS you're in at the time. To use both at once, you'd have to use virtual machine software (Parallels, VMware, VirtualBox) and then install Windows within that. Then you'd be able to run Windows inside of OS X and have access to both at the same time.

  • How do you transfer from mini to imac with fire wire if iMac has Lion and mini has snow leopard

My logic board has gone on my mini(intel) and I need to transfer this machine to an iMac(with Lion) how do I do this as it doesn't seem to be working with my disc.My update to Lion was purchased as a download and the only disc I have is snow leopard to reboot.

If your Mac mini has a dead logic board then you will not be able to boot it at all, not even in Target Disk Mode. You would either have to get the logic board repaired, or remove the hard disk and either put it in a disk enclosure or connect it in some other way to the iMac.
The fact that the two Macs ran different versions of OS X is irrelevant, once you have the drive connected to the iMac you can run the Migration utility to migrate the user account and data.

  • Transfer from lightroom to photoshop with edits to image from lightroom

My images in lightroom are not keeping thier edits that have been made to them when they are exported to photoshop......how do i fix this?

If you're using the Export option under your File menu, you are exporting out of LR and it will no longer track the images.
In order to have LR add your new PSD or TIFF file from Photoshop to your catalog, you have to open it through LR.
Easiest way is to right click the file you want to retouch and select "Edit in Photoshop." LR will create a new .TIFF or .PSD and append the filename with -Edit.
You can set your preference of file type under Lightroom>Preferences>External Editing.
You can also enable "Stack with Original" (my personal preference)

  • Stock transfer from Plant to Project with Inspection Lot

    Hello,
Our client procures consumable material in bulk quantity at plant level and then issues it to project as and when required. We want inspection lot to be generated while we are transferring material from Plant to project stock.
    Question -
    1) We are using movement type 412 Q for transferring plant stock to project stock. Is there any other movement available for this requirement?
    2) What configuration is required so that inspection lot will be generated when material is transferred from plant to project stock?
I have tried following configuration but but inspection lot is not getting generated -
Quality Management - > Quality Inspection -> Inspection Lot Creation -> Inspection for goods movements - > Deactivate Quality Inspection for a movement type. QM not active tick removed.
    Please help for resolution.
    Regards,
    Milind Dumbre

    Question -
    1) We are using movement type 412 Q for transferring plant stock to project stock.
Is there any other movement available for this requirement?
Use movement type 415 for transfer posting from unrestricted stock to project stock

  • How do you transfer from an old ipad with 2 apple id (app free and purchased) to new ipad that is going to these same ids

Basically, I have used two apple ID on my old ipad, ID 1 being primary, and ID 2 being secondary, but I've made purchases in both IDs (apps only no music)
How, and when I moved to a new ipad, would I be able to restore both free+purchased apps on both apple IDs?
    Thanks

I also use two Apple IDs.
As far as getting your apps from both IDs, it's quite simple.  All that you need do is to sync the new iPad to the same iTunes that you had previously synced to the old iPad.  You'll need to load the backup only if you need the data from the game apps.  In that case, I can't confirm which is backed up (or if both are backed up) because I don't play games with a history that I care about.
