Asset transfer in AR01 report

When making a inter company transfer, i can see the asset in the transferring company deactivated and the asset in the transferred to company  created.
IN our client this new asset is created with an asset value date of 01/01/2009. and this transfer is done in April 31/2009
The problem is it is not displayed in the asset balances report when pulled up during the month of 31/2009/March.(run for the new company
Nor the old company because it is deactivated there. So this is missed in the AR01 report if run for the months jan to mar both in the transferred as w
Even though the asset value date is  01/01/2009, i think it goes by the posting date. Can anyone clarify is this how it works? Am I missing any settings in the asset balances report.

Siva,
Please check your settings for valua date determination via the below path.
SPRO->IMG->FA->AA->TRANSACTIONS->Specify How Default Asset Value Date is Determined..
Here check standard variant SAP_DEFAULT for business transaction inter compamny transfer.
Maintain the primary rule and secondary rule according to your requirement.

  • Asset Transfer Report with matching new asset number

    Hi,
During the past week, our company transferred over 2000 assets from several companies to one company. As a result of the transfer, the tax depreciation keys and tax depreciation life weren't carried over to the new assets. I am wondering if anyone here know how can I generate a asset transfer report with one column listing all transferred out assets and another column listing matching transferred in assets? I used ZFI_INTERCOASTR- Intercompany Asset Transfer, it gave me a transfer report with all the transfer in and transfer out in one column.

    Hi,
you can create yourself an ABAP Query on logical database ADA. In node ANEK you have per each (transfer) transaction the information from which asset the transfer was done.  With the ABAP Query you can configure your output list completely flexible.

We are trying to use XML Publisher to create an Asset transfer report. The element TO_FROM=0 denotes the From part of the asset transfer, the TO_FROM=1 denotes the To part of the asset transfer.. in this case we have a asset 200 units transfered 199 and 1 to two locations..in out rtf we are getting only the first line i.e.199..we have begin the group by <?for-each-group@section:G_ASSET_TRANS;ASSET_NUMBER?><?variable@incontext:G2;current-group()?>. In the units column we are giving <?$G2/LIST_G_TRANSFERS/G_TRANSFERS[./TO_FROM=1]/UNITS?>

  • AR01 REPORT IS NOT TALLYING WITH GL BALANCE

    Dear SAP Guru's
AR01 report is not tallying with CWIP gl. during our observation, we found that out of four CWIP assets two of them showing over balance and two of them showing under balance. but when i tried for settling these assets to actual assets, system shows no value for settlement. But when i try for Scrapping, system is allowing for scrapping from these CWIP assets. In General, when ever value is lying in the CWIP, system will allow for settlement, but why in these case it is not allowing. What could be the reason ..for .CWIP assets shows Under/Over value.
    Please advice.
    regds

    Dear Ravi..
    Thanks for your early reply...
    01. As per the Program documentation, it shows that these report should be executed only before year end closing.
Is there any effect if i execute now.
    02. For Your information, i know the exact difference of balance which both AR01 and CWIP GL shows, so to what extent this program ABST2)will help.
03.It would be helpful to me  if you have any solution to resolve it.
    04. Actually this problem was existing from more than 3 fiscal years...our auditors did not recognize it..now management recognised and want to rectify. If i reverse any entries it will effect previous Statutory reports, so without effecting the previous statements i have resolve it.
    Regds,

  • Mass Asset Transfer

We need to transfer 11,000 assets to a new company code.  I've created the worklist in AR01, created the substitution rules to populate the new cost centers, and processed through AR31.  Does anybody know what the following errors are referencing or why we're receiving them?
    1.  Error in sub transient work item 'Intercompany Asset Transfer' (Message # SWF_RUN817)
    2.  Asset 1010 INTERN-00001-1 is incomplete, check asset (I think this one is related to a a missing required field).
    3.  Error handling for work item 229478 (Message no. SWF_RUN630)

    Hi Darrin,
I had a similar requirement in my project as well. Besides others one of the options that exists in such cases is creating a worklist and then a substitution rule . But we felt it was best to apply the OSS note no 851357. It then worked for us, maybe you could try it too.
    Thanks

  • Depreciation Problem after asset transfer

    Hi All,
During our month end, our user did the asset transfer within the same company code. When he runs the Depreciation through AFAB, the new asset is not showing any depreciation for current month, where as Old asset has some balance. I checked the new asset and in the Depreciation area, the Dep. start date is showing as 05/02/08. We changed the date to 03/02/2008 through AS02, but still it is not showing up any depreciation. I do have following questions.
    1. Can we transfer asset before depreciation run or run the depreciation first and then do the transfer. In our case we already transfered, so how do we fix it.
    2. I wonder how it is getting the Odep. start date as 05/04/08. Is it defined some where in Depreciation key/
    3. Can we run depreciation excluding that new asset. If so, how it can be done
Please let me know if anyone has come across this, and how to solve this.
    This is an urgent.
    Thanks
    Kris

    Hi Muriel,
I am very sure you did not do it correctly. Now, this is the step to follow:
    1. First adjust the APC value to what it should be using transaction code <b>ABSO</b>. Once you're sure that your Acquisition Value is correct, the next thing to do is
    2. To execute transaction <b>AFAB</b>(Depreciation Run) in "<b>Test Mode</b>". This would give you the depreciation that would be posted by the system asset by asset. This are under three main headings namely: "<b>Planned</b>", "<b>Posted</b>" & "<b>To Post</b>".
Depending on your depreciation method, the "<b>Planned</b>" figure gives the total amount the system would post for the financial year whilst the "<b>Posted</b>" figure gives you what has been posted up to date and the "<b>To Post</b>" figure gives you what would be charged to the P&L when you run <b>AFAB</b> in Production mode.
Your Net Book Value(NBV) at the end of the depreciation run for say November 2006 would be <b>NBV</b> = <b>APC</b> - (<b>Posted + To Post</b>)
If Posted + To Post (i.e. Accummulated Depreciation) is more or less than what you expect it to be from you manual calculation, you then need to adjust the figure upward or downward depending on the situation at hand. That is when you now need to
    3. Perform Manual Depreciation Adjustment using either transaction code <b>ABAA</b> or <b>ABMA</b>.
You can then use <b>AW01N</b> to view the asset. You would be able to see the different postings made. Do not forget to run <b>AFAB</b> in production mode. If not, no depreciation value would be posted and your report would still be wrong.
    I hope the above helps.
Do not forget to award the points please.
    Regards,
    Jacob

  • Can we change asset transfer date after going productive since five years

    Hi,
I got a requirement where there is an asset since 1993 in legacy system, which now should be moved in to SAP.
But problem is we went live in 2003, I had set asset transfer date to 31-12-2003. Now I need to take over asset acquisition value & accumulated deprecation into SAP as on 2008 date.
It means I need to change asset take over date to 31.12.2008 from 31-12-2008. So can any one tell whether I can go ahead and change the asset transfer date, if I could change what would be effect on the existing assets?
    Best Regards,
    Giridhar

There is no impact on your existing asset when you change the take over date only a message when you run reports on old fiscal years. The old fiscal year should be closed and you can no longer be reopend (it is no longer there, take over is later) You can test this first in you test system
But it is better to use the other option no customizing and manual posting with OASV for the asset values. 2 minutes work and the asset is in
Even for conversions I go now for this option (own transaction key Y47) and no longer using AS91!.
When values are wrong you can reverse the posting and post again.

  • Error AU133 received while posting asset transfer

    Hi Friends,
While posting asset transfer to affiliated co. (t.code ABT1N) got error message "Account 'Clear.revenue sale to affil.company' could not be found for area 01".
We have already maintained GL A/c in Ao90 in tab 'Clear.revenue sale to affil.company' .The asset is a AUC asset.
The GL is also existing in the co  code from which the transfer is made.
Kindly help to solve the issue..
    Thanks & Regards
    Bhairavi

    Hi Bhairavi,
    1) the note is relevant for your release to check the transfer variants
    2) In fact, when the field in OABE is selected the system uses another posting schema than the standard one (used when the OABE is not set).
    3) Do you one or more depr areas which are derivied from area 01 ans use different accounts? For example:
AFAPL  AFABER XSTORE ABVOR1 AFABE1 ABVOR2 AFABE2 VZANSW VZREST BUHBKT
    ABCD   03            +      01     -      02     *      *      4
    ABCD   05            +      01     -      04     *      *      4

  • Issue In Asset Transfer

    Hi
I have an issue in Asset. I have created an asset in a wrong asset class by mistake. Now I want to transfer the asset value to an asset created in the right asset class. But when I am doing this, the system is transferring the proptionate depreciation calculated to the new asset. Pls suggest
    KM

    Hi
It seems that the depreciation key has been configured to calculate the depreciation from the depreciation start key mainatained in the depreciation area. Hence, when you do the asset transfer, the system would post a pro rata depreciation from the depreciation start date to the date of transfer and transfer the same to the new asset. Howver, you can avoid that by changing the depreciation start date to the date of transfer. In such a case, no pro rata depreciation would not be calculated and transferred to the new asset.

  • ABT1N-Getting Error while doing Intercompany asset transfer

    Hi,
Due to a merger of two comapny codes, my clients needed to make an intercompany asset transfer (transaction code ABT1N), with company code 099 as the sending company code and 200 as the receiving company code). However they got the following error message:
    AU133
    Contra account is not assigned.
Is it necessary to assign conta accounts In AO90 for intercompany asset transfer?
Could anyone suggest me what are the necessary settings required for intercompany asset transfer?

  • Getting error while doing Intercompany asset transfer

This is the first time that they are doing an intercompany asset transfer in our client. Intracompany asset transfers were done in the past. While doing an intercompany transfer, an error is popping up as given below.:
Account 'Contra account: Acquisition value' could not be found for area 01
    Message no: Au133
    Diagnosis
When creating the accounting document the system could not find account 'Contra account: Acquisition value' in depreciation area 01 for Company code( sending company code)
    Procedure:
Enteer this account in the account determination for Asset Accounting.
Since, this is the first time an intercompany transfer is happening I assume that there is some configuration or some settign that might have to be done. Please could you help me.

    Hi,
first set your COD with OAPL.
Go to transaction AO90 and select your COA and click on account determination, and select the account determination key, which is used for your sending asset and doublie click on blanace sheet accounts.
There one field will be there called Contra account: Acquisition value, so enter a B/S GL account there and SAVE it.
Since this account is required to enter at both COD level, like sending assets COD and receiving assets COD. But if you have your both assets in same COD, no need to maintain twice.
The purpose of this GL account is used while transfering one asset from one company code to another to capture the NBV as clearing entry between inter company code trasnfers. (This is as good as OBYA settings in FI). But this GL account here is not specific for one particular company code as like in FI.
    This will solve your problem.

  • ABT1N  Intercompany Asset Transfer  error: AA390   T type 230 not possible

    Dear experts,
I am trying to post an intercompany asset transfer with trx code ABT1N but when simulating the error code
Transaction type 230 not possible (posting to affiliated company) appears. This is the explanation of the error:
    Message no. AA390
    Diagnosis
For the current document, you specified either implicitly (via the
customer/vendor), or explicitly (with a manual entry), that this posting
is to an affiliated company. In this case, Asset Accounting requires you
to use special transaction types.  This enables the system to separately
         identify such transactions.
I do not understand the error because TType is "Retirement to affiliated company with revenue" so should be correct.
Does anybody know what could be wrong?
    Cheers

    Hi
    Firstly, check out Note 209643.
Secondly, please read the long text of the error message again. The
transaction type must be set as "post to affiliated company".  And
you must check back the followings :-
    1.  Please execcute function:  SAP IMG -> FI -> asset accounting ->
transaction -> specify default transaction type.
You can find the default transaction type for "retirement from
inter-company transfer" and "acquisition from inter-company
        transfer".
Then check in their definition whether they are relevant to
        affiliated company.
If they are NOT RELEVANT to affiliated company, you can
substitute them with other transaction type Relevant to affiliated
        company.
    2.  Please check the definition of transfer variant. In the transfer
variant, you have assigned the transaction type for both retirement
and acqusition for relation type 1. Both transaction types should be
set as "post to affiliated company" .
Please note that the abovementioned points must be checked because
the system logic will check the validity of the default value in
    Point 1.
Then the transaction type in the point 2 will be used instead and
    re-checked again.
Have you try to use 'No Reveune' in the specification for revenue?,
I think if it is afflicated companies, you are not allowed to use
    revenue.
This error can also be produced because a wrong definition of the trans-
fer variants. Please have a look on note 327088 for further details.
Most of the issues on this matter were solved with this last Note.
    Cheers, Blaz

  • Asset Transfer

    Hi All,
We are Using T code ABUMN to transferring of existing asset and creating as new asset within company code to change of Cost center, but the existing asset has no value. The system issue below error message when posting,
Retirement/transfer on asset XXXXX 0 takes place with no values
    Message no. AA396
I couldn’t find any solution for existing no value asset transfer. Please suggest the ways to solve.
Note: As best practice, we have grayed out cost center once asset master is created. So we cannot change directly in master.

    HI Abu,
Since we want to transfer the asset from one business area to other business area, we have to remove the asset from business area where transfer happen and we have to show that asset in the history of receiver business area. So we cant transfer the asset with same number within the business area.
There is one tab called Time-dependent data in master data there you can set the time intervals for Asset. It's mainly designed for your requirement like.
When asset moved from one place to another place or another location you can set the time interval for that..
    For example:
A asset belongs to ABC businessarea from 01/01/2008 to 30/06/2008
When asset moved to DEF business area you have to set interval for 01/07/2008 to 31/12/9999
Then that asset will be read undet DEF business area.
    Hope it'll clear your requirement.
    Thanks,
    Puja
