Assign all pics in a project to same place

I have 42 pics in a Project and only one of those has GPS metadata because it was shot with an iPhone; the others were not.  Since all pics are from the same exact location, how do I assign all pics to that one known GPS place?
Thanks,  Robb

if the reference photo was imported into Aperture its location will have been placed, no?
Sort of, the place will be the closest named place in the database - when I import geocoded photos from my Antartica trip, Aperture's place label will be "South Atlantic Ocean" - they will show the correct position on the map, because they have GPS, but I cannot use the place "South Atlantic Ocean" to add more photos to  the same place. If markers in the vicinity are missing in the predefined Places lists, I have to create my own.
This is a problem, if you are in areas, where the maps are poor and. Apple's map are not very detailed in the national parks or off the roads. And the Places database has many places in the cities, but not so many in the rural areas or the wilderness.

  • I want all of my music in the same place?

Is it possible to accomplish with iTunes 11? If so how? I don't want to move any of my other media, just the music.

Select the Music source, switch to Songs view, press CTRL+A to select all files, right-click, click on Consolidate Files. Any files that were stored outside the iTunes Media folder will be copied into it. You need to manually delete the originals. Or use my script ConsolidateByMoving to move files into the media folder without leaving duplicates behind.

    Hi,
Will you record the time worked for each project and pay accordingly, or will you pay 3 & 8 hours fixed?
If the second one is the case, what comes to my mind is you can assign him in IT0008 a base salary with wage type PR01 and this would refer to the full-time project.
The the salary for the second projects may be given to the employee via IT0015 in terms of amount directly or hours.
However, this scenario has nothing to do with the project system module or timesheet data.

  • How do I set all photos in a project to the same date (rather than simply time-shifting)?

I have a bunch of old scanned photos in Aperture (current version - 3.5.1), and am trying to tidy up the metadata, especially the dates.
This is turning out to be quite a task, as the date gaps between scans are all over the place. For example, in one project I might have photos scanned between 2004 and 2007 that all took place on one day in 1999.
This means the native "adjust date and time" function in the metadata menu doesn't work, as it is a little too clever in its timeshifting. If I highliht the whole project and change it all to 1 June 1999, the 2004 shots get changed to that date but the 2007 scans are dated 2002, with Aperture "cleverly" preserving the inaccurate three year gap in the original scans' metadata.
This is making the process of fixing my data far more arduous than it needs to be.
I feel like my situation can't be that unusual, and their must be a way to override this behaviour. I'm not fussy about preserving logical time gaps between shots  but I'd like them to have the right year and month (so a "dumb" solution that gave them all idntical date and times would be fine).
Can anayone help? Thanks in advance!

    What is your Aperture version?
If it is compatible with iPhoto, open the Aperture library in iPhoto and use iPhoto's Batch Change to adjust the date of your scans:  (File > Open Library in iPhoto)
In iPhoto select the photos in the event and go to the main menu bar:
Photos  > Batch Change > Set Date:
Select the initial date and time of your photos and a very small gap, e.g. 1 second. All photos will set to the same date, stepped by one second to preserve their time order.
Afterwards switch back to Aperture using "File > Open Library in Aperture).
this works very well with Aperture 3.5.1 and iPhoto 9.5.1.

  • 10g: Must all related tables be in the same project?

Since we will eventaully have over 500 tables to map, we would like to be able to maintain these tables/classes in different projects. How do we map foreign key references between tables/classes that we would like to maintain in different projects?
I don't know if theis is why I'm getting this error, but I initially created two projects with independent tables. Then I wanted to join some tables in one project to some tables in another project. (This is all using Offline Database Objects.) If you wish to split your project up into two projects and have some relationships between some of those objects in the projects, you could map all of the objects for each project, but do not map the relationships. For those classes with relationships to other classes in other project you can define an amendment method. An amendment method is a callback into Java code that will be called when the descriptor is loaded. In this method you can then create the mapping to the class in the other project through the descriptor and mapping code API. (see oracle.toplink.mappings, oracle.toplink.publicinterface.Descriptor)
You can also make use of descriptor deactivation to define relationships between projects. For this you would import the related classes into the project and deactivate them. This will allow you to define relationships to them, but will not export their mapping information when deploying.
In general it is probably easier to keep everything in one project and use your content/code management system and merge tools to manage the project.

  • RH HTML 9-chm file How to change the Shared Path of all images in entire project.

    Dear alll,
Previously, I inserted all images to my project from a shared folder with path A. But now I could not access to path A anymore, so I created a folder with the same name in path B which have the same images.
Now I need to update images and I cannot synchronize them from the current folder with path B.
I right-click an image in Project Manager pod, select Properties and then I saw this image has an attribute Shared Path is path A. There is any way to change this Shared Path to path B for all images in the project at a time ?
Anyone experiments it, please help me. Thanks.

  • Can I have two Aperture projects with same name?

Hi. I'm new to Aperture and an advanced iPhoto user. I started using Aperture sharing the same library with iPhoto (that new functionallity).
I've read lots of manuals and tutorials (Apple's and others) as well as this support topics. I understand iPhoto Events are now Aperture Projects and I've read a lot about how should it be organized and so on.
My problem is: I got, for example, 4 iPhoto Events with the name "Friends". The appear in Apperture as 4 Projects named "Friends". I decided to rename one of them and the I came back to "Friends" name. Aperture won't let me: it appends "(1)". It seems I cannot name to Projects the same way, although I have that.
    Before: Friends, Friends, Friends, Friends
After renaming one of them and trying to get back to original name: Friends, Friends, Friends, Friends (1)
I have that duplicated name because it is like a title, photos of my friends in different time (one Friends is from 2005, other from 2010, and so on, for example).
It seems pretty bad I have to come up with a new name for each new Project, considering I have hundreds of them today. Any tips? Thanks.

If there is nothing separating the images then put them all in the same project. If you have a project Friends you know all your friends images are in there and you can find the ones you want by date or keyword or even Face.
There is no requirement to have the images from different times at the bar to be in different projects. I personally wouldn't work that way but if having a project called Friends at Bar works for you then place all the images of your friends at the bar in that project.
Of course another way to look at this is to use albums to pull all the images of your Friends at Bars together. Don't have the name of the project organize your library, create albums and/or smart albums to collect the images into meaningful groupings.

  • Is Oracle Project Management has all features which Microsoft Project Plan?

    Hello Experts,
Customer wanted to start using Oracle Project Management suit completly along with little Microsoft project plan. as of now most of the projects are using microsoft project plan for project management and Oracle Project suit is for Costing and Billing.
But in order to start this initiative, we need to explain the difference which Oracle Project Management can not able to do but Microsoft project plan can. Based on this management will take the decesion.
As per my understanding, Orace Project Management can perform all the tasks except scheduling. As it supports scheduling from third party software like Microsoft project plan / primavera etc.
Rest I think Oracle Project management suit is equally matured to perform all the project management task which Mircosoft project management can perform.
So experts , can you please confirm my understanding and provide me some light on this topic.
    Thanks :-)

    Hi,
First of all, I would like to know what are the various things you are performing with a Microsoft project plan apart from scheduling the resources to a specific project .
Through Oracle Project Management, you can control the visibility of a resource, assign it to a particular project and control the tracking of the time in various assignments. If that is what you are trying to achieve through Oracle Project Management icnluding the other features it has, you can surely go for it.
Let me know if you have any doubts on it.

    Well!
If you have ThunderBolt, I would go with such for an External Working Drive, spinning platter or SSD depending on your budget
This does not have to be huge just big enough to house your most current Jobs
Once the Current Job is put to rest I would move it to a larger multi bay hard drive unit, USB or FireWire nothing fancy, no RAID, set up as one single Disk
This would only be accessed when something is needed from a past Job so the connection does not have to be speedy
The Drobo would be relegated to Vaults and backups
You can set up a Vault on the Drobo to back up the External Working Library and then Reconnect it when you have moved the Library over to the other Enclosure
This has worked for me pretty smoothly for a long while, but I have found over the years that one can not assume all people work in the same manner! :-)

  • Assigning different IPs to applications running on same machine

I am working on case which needs 10 different threads of a client program with each thread having its own IP address. The problem is that these threads have to run on the same machine and they communicate to a common server (on a different machine) using the TCP/IP Sockets. Is there anyway thru which I can assign unique IP addresses to each of my client thread even through all of them happen to run on the same machine?

All my client threads connect to the server using
    Socket sock = new Socket(ipAddr, portNum);
They are already binding themselves to different and unique ports on the client machine. All of them talk to the same server application running on a different machine. The server should identify the client threads by looking at their ip addresses. Now my question was, is there a way through which I can assign different IP addresses to my client threads ?

  • Change "ALL" Packages in a Project to use Project Configuration Table

We have numerous SSIS PROJECTS where all of the packages that were developed use local connection managers.  We now want to use a configuration file in SQL Server to contain the connection information.  When I right click on the project, the Option
that I'm provided is to "Convert to Package Deployment Model".  When I right click on the Control Flow and select Configurations, the "Package Configurations Organizer" dialog opend and the "Enable package configurations"
check box is not checked.  We have over 300 packages like this and I'm hoping that someone knows of a procedure to have the entries specified in the "Package Configuration Organizer" apply to all packages in the project.
    Please let me know.
    Thank you
    Bigguy

Is there a painless way to transition the local connection to the project connection without having to manually address each task that becomes invalidated?
    Hi BigGuy,
I am afraid the answer is no.
After we convert a connection manger in a package to a project connection manager, the connection manager will be added to each package within the project. If a package already includes a connection manager with the same name as the project connection manager,
the project connection manager will not be visible until we delete the existing package connection manager that has the same name. After we delete the package connection manager, it’s true that the tasks that uses the package connection manager will become
invalid with the following error message:
Error at Package1: The connection "{XXXXX}" is not found. This error is thrown by Connections collection when the specific connection element is not found.
That’s because a SSIS task refers to a connection manager based on the GUID of the connection manager, however, the GUID become invalid once we delete the package connection manager. To address this issue, we have to manually open each task that throws errors
to update the task. However, it should not be very painful because we can double click to open the task editor, and then just click “OK” to close the window. In this way, the task will be updated with the project connection manager automatically.
