"Assign to desktop" only showing up on standard account

I have two user accounts on my Mac mini with my account being the administrator and the other being standard. The standard account is automatic log in while mine is password protected. When I right click on an application in the dock of the standard account and point the cursor over option it gives me extra options to "assign to desktop" and has all, none, and a couple more I believe. This does not show up in the admin account or on my MBP and I can't figure out why or even what it is exactly. Any ideas?

I figured out my own question and want to delete it but I can't find an option to do so? Anyway, it turns out that when there is two or maybe more "desktops" open at one time, that is when right clicking on an application in the dock shows the assign to options. Ok then.....

Well, as usual with any new release, there will always be issues. No one is perfect and Apple is no different. At least the important functions work for me (phone, browser, ipod). I've already submitted this issue as a bug so hopefully in the next firmware version, it will be fixed. I've heard they're testing a 2.0.1 version but not sure if that would include this fix.
As for removing that picture from your phone, I'd connect the iPhone to a computer and then delete it directly from the iPhone. I haven't tried that on mine but it might work. When I connected the iPhone to my computer and transferred it, it was the exact same size as the one I sent in my email. I haven't had the issue your experiencing though but I have the 1st generation iPhone, running the 5A347 firmware build. If you have the 3G, could be limited to the new phone or the older firmware on the 3G phones? (I think they came with 5A345 out of the box). Maybe a restore is in order or just wait for the 2.0.1 version to come out. Hope this helped.

Screen/Desktop Only showing one program at a time...

My mom called me in to look at her iMac earlier today. She said she was moving her illustrator window off to the side when all of the sudden it was "sucked" away to the left side of the screen. Now when she tries to bring up more than one window for different programs, it will only show windows from one program at a time. I have no clue what she has done and can't seem to find a way to fix this... Does anyone know what she has turned on and how can I turn it off?

sounds strange. I would try resetting dock and spaces preferences. delete the file homedirectory/library/preferences/com.apple.dock.plist and log out/in. your dock, spaces and exposé will be reset to the defaults.

Calendar request sent from iCloud accounts to my exchange account only show in my iCloud account.

Yo! I have a MacBook Pro 15" running Yosemite 10.10.2. When someone sends me a calendar invite from an iCloud account to my work (Exchange) account/email address the request only shows on my personal iCloud account and calendars and I cannot move these requests to my work (Exchange) calendars. I made sure that my work email address is no longer attached to my iCloud account, but the calendar request still only go to my iCloud account.
When someone sends me a calendar request from an exchange account to my work exchange account, I receive the request on my work exchange calendar and nothing shows in iCloud.

My desktop only show one active window, the others slide away

I was working with safari and iweb open. I was adjusting iwebs position then suddenly safari slid to the left away. when I opened safari iweb slid to the right away. I tried searching through the forums and google but was not able to find anything. Please help!

Open System Preferences / Exposé & Spaces then select the Spaces tab.
If "Enable Spaces" is selected, deselect that box.
Now click the Exposé tab. Check to see if you have any *Active Screen Corners* activated.

Right clicking on Dock is not showing Assign to Desktop Option (Mavericks)

When I two finger click on a Dock Application, it should show Assign To (Desktop, All Desktop, None) under Options.
However, I am only getting (Remove from Dock, Open at Login, Show in Finder)
Is there an option to include/exclude these options?

Assign to desktop option not showing up for a few programs

Hi! Well Assign to desktop is a great feature. The problem I am having is that it does not show up under options for several programs. It does show up with others. Two of the programs it is not showing up with are Lightroom 4 and SpeedGrade from Adobe's CS6 cloud. It does work with Photoshop and Premier and After Effects from the same suite. Anyone have any ideas why? Thanks.

There are many possible causes for this issue. Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Some may not apply to your model. Back up all data before making any changes.
1. Start with the steps recommended in this support article. Don't skip any of the steps. It's the starting point for further efforts to solve the problem.
2. Run Software Update and make sure you have a fully up-to-date installation of OS X.
3. If you've installed an application called "Memory Clean" or any other third-party software that is supposed to "clean" or "purge" memory automatically, remove it according to the developer's instructions and restart. You should do that even if the software is not causing the problem, because it's useless.
4. Other third-party software that has been reported to interfere with sound output includes "Boom" and "Samsung Kies." If applicable, uninstall according to the developer's instructions (not by dragging something to the Trash.)
5. If an AirPlay device is selected for sound output from iTunes (or from other applications via third-party software such as "Airfoil"), deselect it.
6. Launch the application "Audio MIDI Setup" by entering the first few letters of its name in a Spotlight search and selecting it in the results (it should be at the top.) Select Built-in Output from the list on the left. If the Mute boxes are checked, uncheck them.
7. If a red light is visible in the audio-out port when sound should be playing, the internal switch is stuck in the position for digital output. You may be able to free it by inserting and removing a mini-stereo jack of the proper size. Inserting any kind of tool in the port may cause damage that won't be covered by your warranty.
If there's no red light, the switch may still be stuck in the headphone position. Try to free it the same way.
8. Disconnect all wired peripherals except keyboard and mouse, if applicable. If more than one display is connected, disconnect all extra ones. Restart and test.
9. If you have a MacBook Air, turn off Bluetooth and restart.
10. Start up in safe mode. Don't log in; just restart as usual when the login screen appears. When you do, make sure the words "Safe Boot" do not appear in the login screen. If they do, the system is still in safe mode and sound won't work.
11. Reset the NVRAM.
12. Reset the SMC.
13. Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/Library/Preferences/Audio
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Recreate your settings in the Sound preference pane.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
14. Reinstall OS X after backing up all data.
15. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store.

Updated my computer and will not show any images or documents unless they are on desktop only HELP!

Since I have updated my computer I can not find any images that I have saved in the past unless I have saved them directly in a folder on the desktop. I have tried searching all files and it only shows what I have on my desk top. Any help would be great!

I have two monitor setup (laptop + main monitor) and I would love to use "Only show tasks from the current desktop" option in KDE Task Manager but for some strange reason it doesn't work for me. Well, it works but only partially - for restored/unmaximized windows. When I maximize one it appears on the Taskbar on both screens. Is this normal? May it be due to the fact that I've placed Taskbar on top of the screens?

[KDEmod 4.2] Desktop not showing, only cursor...

Hi, I tried to install kdemod 4.2 by enabling [kdemod-testing] on my repos...
Now after finishing installing it, after logging in it only shows me a cursor and a background with no desktop at all!!!:(
How can I fix this? Thanks in advance

I enabled first [kdemod-testing] on my repos then
pacman -S kdemod
I even reinstalled...but still no luck

App expose - only show windows in one desktop?

Just curious if anyone has found a way to get app expose to only show windows in the current desktop in Lion.
In SL if you input the following terminal command then when you activated app expose it would only show you windows for that app in the current space instead of all open windows in all spaces.
defaults write com.apple.dock wvous-show-windows-in-other-spaces -bool FALSE
Mission Control has replaced all window expose and is currently the only way to see everything that is going on within a single desktop (with the exception of minimized windows). But unlike All window expose, with mission control you can't easily see individual windows of a single app. Only App expose now provides this function. If I have 6 pdfs open on one desktop and another 6 pdfs open in another desktop (and presumably since I'm using 2 desktops I'm using these pdfs for different purposes) if I want to quickly switch to one of them using some form of expose it is really easy to accidentally switch to the other desktop (which I find very jarring and disruptive to my workflow).
Please note I am not trying to bash Mission Control. I actually don't mind it. I was just curious if anyone had found a similar terminal command or hack that restored the functionality of restricting app expose to a single space in Lion.

Just chiming in to say I'd like to see a fix for this too. I put different windows onto different desktops because they're part of a completely separate work flow; when I use Application Exposé, I don't want to see windows from a different task entirely.

Video only shows my desktop.. why?

Hello, I can't seem to figure this out and its probably going to be something stupid but when I connect to a video chat with my friend I can see him but on his end it only shows my desktop screen. Every option seems to be checked correctly can someone tell me if i'm missing something. The camera is facing me and shows its on but again all it shows to my friend at the other end is a shot of my desktop. Thanks for you help.

Particularly if you downloaded the Trial of that one and it is Out of Date.
