I have a doubt in the Callable Object Assign User for Process Role.wat is the use of this callable object.This Callable Object is used to reterive any portal user information?can any one give description about this Callable Object.

Hi David,
I am not sure whether a callable object can be assigned to more than one user or not, but for assigning one single user to a callable object inside a process, follow the following steps:
1)Put the callable object in an action.
2)Put the action in a block.
3)In the block, under the Roles tab, you will be able to see an item called Processor of <name of action containing this callable object>. You don't need to do anything. If you wish, all you can do here that you can consolidate roles of more than one action under a single name such that one user is assigned to all those actions. For the time being, don't do anything.
4)Put the block in the process.
5)In the process, under the Roles tab, you would be able to see the same item Processor of <name of action containing this callable object> and a drop down in front of it. Choose Initiation Defined from the drop down.
6)In the process itself, open the Default Roles tab, and now you would be able to see the same item Processor of <name of action containing this callable object>. Just click the Add Default button, search for the user, and assign him to this Processor.
These steps will make sure that when you run the process, the CO Assign users to process role could be opened by only the user you assigned this CO to.

How to assign Users to process roles?

Hi All,
I have designed a process and I have consolidated all the roles,
when I intiate the process from the runtime workset it asks to assign users to these roles(I have consolidated all the roles to three mail roles). The problem that I am facing is that the user should not see this screen, depending upon the user login id the approvers should be automatically assigned to the respective roles.
Is this possible...

assuming that I've got you wright you could try to model the following using the callable object "business logic" and the callable object "assign user to process role".
With the help of the first CO you can implement the logic to assign the respective approvers to the users (initiator) and let the processflow go on directing it to the appropriate step where the above mentioned second CO assigns the user to the process role (using the result states of the bussiness logic CO)
At least you are supposed to need an appropriate Parameter that you can consolidate with the User ID.
Just a quick idea, hope this will work with you.

Assigned users for a role

Hi
I am looking for auditing feature in Portal. I created a portal role,say ABC in portal and added an iView to that role. When ever I create any user, I am assigning this role to that user. Now I want to know the users associated to this role ABC. Under User Administration tab, when I look at Assigned Users for this role, I don't see any users. But when I see the roles assigned to any user, I can see this role assigned to this user. I don't want to go to all users and check whether this role is assigned or not.
Also, I want to know the users who all are accessing the iview in role ABC currently. Can you please help me with these points.

You know, this operation has been made under Business Process Workspace > Administration Areas > Organization > Roles But this page is not useful for Administrator user. I want to develop an application that it makes set Participant to BPM App Role. But, i haven't any API.

Error assigning users to application Role in Obiee 11.1.1.7.0

I installed Obiee 11.1.1.7.0 both on Windows and Linux platform and after that, I successfully set Active Directory integration. I have a problem assigning users to Application Role in EM. When I'm trying to search a user on Display name, the Principal userName returned is blank and the error is : Java Null Pointer Exception
After that I install a fresh copy of 11.1.6.0. After AD Integration, I was able to assign users to Application Role. I made 11.1.1.7.0 upgrade and same error has come. I think this is a bug because same AD settings on 11.1.1.6.0 works.

We received from Oracle a work-around of this problem.
It seems to be related to the virtualize flag set to true. I f you set it to false the problem disappear (it works for me).

There's an open BUG on this problem: Bug 16808088 - 11G JAVA.LANG.NULLPOINTEREXCEPTION ADDING USER TO ROLE AFTER UPGRADE TO 11.1.1.7.

Error while assigning user for release approval path for payment release

     I am trying to assign user for payment release in SPRO. I have defined upto 'Define relevant document types for release for payment', after that while assigning user in terms of position for release and save it, i am getting error 'Program error: ASSIGN with length 0 in program "MP120800" '.Because of it i can t proceed further.

i am trying to assign a role CRMACC to my BP using the FM - BAPI_BUPA_ROLE_ADD
but after the exceution of the FM, i get an error message: No standard assignment defined for BP role category CRMACC

I had a similar query in which I had to assign role CRM000 to BP but could not do so and got that error.
The solution can be found in my thread:

Just interchange CRM000 as CRMACC for your case.

Document has been checked out by A user for processing

Hi Friends,
We have three status in our process. CT (Create), IW (Inwork), RE(Release).
We have following doc. status type for each status.
CT- I (Initial)
IW- O (Original Processing status)
RE- S (Locked stats)
User A has created document. Uer B has changed status to IW . User C trying to change to RE. In that case we are getting the following message. Document has been checked out by A user for processing.
We are having Characteristics associated to doc. type. Those are not able to change while in RE release mode.
I change the doc. status type to
CT- I
IW - C (Check in Status)
RE- S
and
CT- P
IW - I
RE- S
Even then problem remains the same.
How to get rid of this.

Hcm process as callable object in GP

Hi All,
I have an abap wd application named asr_process_execute ..which is used for executing certain processes using HCM processes and forms
And we have integrated it as one of the callable object in the guided procedure..
My requirement is when the user presses the complete button there should be a validation to check if the user has actually executed the processes in WD ABAP application or not .. if yes .. then complete button should go smooth ... if not .. then some error message should come..

Thanks for the response. You got it right you have a result state button where u can select the target.
But how do u get to know if the user has executed the process by pressing the send button on the form which is the embedded inside wd abap application ASR_PROCESS_EXECUTE which inturn is embedded in the callable object?
Only when u get this information .. we can use it to contol the processing of the Callable Object.

Report to fetch assigned transactions for multiple role.

I am looking for some report or the way, i can get the list of transaction assigned to multiple roles in one go.
Actually i tried SUIM, but here i have to specify one role at a time and have the list of transactions assigned to it.
My scenario is, i have around 100 composite roles. Now there is a requirment for a report, which gives information of transactions assigned to each role. If i do it one by one, i have to do it for 100 times.
Please suggest the best and quickest way.

Try the SAP query tools, they're there for you. If you go to the quickviewer (SQVI) you can easily join tables AGR_AGRS and AGR_1251 by AGRNAME. Now if you look for object S_TCODE you can see the relation between a tcode assignment and a composite role.

Hello Ganesh,
User groups cannot be directly assigned to a role. Only users can be asigned. If I understand correctly then you want to assign a role to a user belonging to a particular group. For this goto SU10 then to Authorization DATA. Give the user group in the filed Group for Authorization ane execute it. You wil get a list of all the users. Select all of them using SELECT ALL option and press the transfer pushbutton. Now you have the list of all users. Press the change button go to roles tab and add the role you want and then save the changes. I hope it solves the issue for you.

Table for tcodes for a role at object level

Hi Expert,
In production we have one role that doesnot have any tcodes at menu level.We are able to find tcodes at object level s_tcode.
I have tried in agr_tcodes table i am getting zero tcods for that role.
Is there any way to find out tcodes for particular role which is maintained in s_tcode object.

I know you already got the answer from akshay..Still wonder why the thread is still open.. I could not resist my self to say few words....
AGR_TCODES - Gives transaction that is added in role menu and appear in S_TCODE with standard status.
AGR_1251 (with role name and S_TCODE) - Gives you above as well as manually added S_TCODE values.
Also keep eye in the status for S_TCODE in output of AGR_1251 (Rest for you to explore) so no need to enter the role manually to see whether the object is added manually or standard....

Yes you require User Admin role to search and add UME Users.
A workaround can be using the 'Use an Expression' :
User: getPrincipalByUniqueName(string uniqeName,"user")
Role: getPrincipalByUniqueName(string uniqeName,"role")
