Assigning Employees to Positions as Successors

Hi Guru's,
We have deployed HR Renewal 1.0 on EhP6 and planning to implement Talent Management. I went through SAP documentation for Manager Role and read that managers can assign employees to positions as successors.
But, I could not find an application from role SAP_SR_TMC_MANAGER_6 where managers can perform this activity.
Please suggest.

Are you implementing Talent Visualization by Nakisa also?
Because as I know, Manager can assign employees to successors pool using Talent Visualization by Nakisa.

Assigning employee to two positions

Hello,
In my organization the HR department has decided to enable employees to be assigned to two positions at the same time (work percentage of 50% for each).
However, the SAP-HR solution was bulit on the assumption that an employee is assigned to one position only at the same time, and it would be very hard to change all the developments (such as Z-reports, user exits etc) to fit into the new regulation.
So I would like to ask if anyone has an idea of how to cope with this new demand: does anyone know a specific PA-Infotype we may use or another solution?

Probably this is what i would try if i was you..
Using the standard solution : Currently i understand all your Z reports and Developments are completed and you wouldnt wanna bother any of these to avoid further complications- Thus what i can suggest is to use/create another relationship between employee and the secondary position.
Primary Position can always have the standard A008 relationship. But you can also have the flexiility of keeping 100% to both the position the employee holds, the system does not restrict you on this.
Now, having said that - I suppose your report on Position is based on relationship or evaluation paths, thus i dont find the possibility of damaging your current developments using a custom relationship.
Let me know if this works or we can talk on an alternate solution for you.

Anyone knows about how to assign Employee(Business Partner) to the respective position for the organizational unit programmatically.
three tasks:-
To Automate the following programatically:-
1. assign employee to the position.
2. update employee positions.
3. remove employee.( change the status of employee)

Once you create org.unit you can assign positions,update and remove employee from their positions automatically.Make your customizing settings for automatic organisational data determination using the wizards.When you create a transaction,the system determines the org.data according to your customising settings.You can change or enhance the or.units manually.

PFAC Rule:01400002(PDVEmplPos)-Determine employee for position

Hi All,
I am having solution Manager 4.0. ST 400, level 0015. Highest support package:SAPKITL425.
I am making the copy of the standard role "01400002" in PFAC. In the standard rule, we have the container "Employee of Position". For the container element "Employee of Position", in the tab D.type (Data Type), the entry is as follows:
Object Type: BOR Object type
PDOTYPE_SH.
We i am try to change the above object "PDOTYPE_SH" in the standard rule, i am getting following error:
Object type 'PDOTYPE_SH' is not defined. Message no. OL520.
Is SAP has removed the above object from standard? If it is so, kindly suggest me the new object to be used in the rule.

My requirement is to determine the employee for the particular position to be identified from org unit.
Consider below scenario:
I am having below org structure in PPOMA_CRM.
Global support Team (Org Unit). Under "Global support team" i have three regional support teams as a org unit. They are:
Support Team India (Org Unit)
Support Team Canada (Org Unit)
The above support team will have sub org units as below:
Support Team-Teachnical (Org Unit)
Support Team-Functional (Org Unit)
Support Team-Security (Org Unit)
Under each support team i have following positions:
1.Head
2. Team Member
Under the position "Head", i have assigned one business partner (general BP & employee role) & under the position "team member', i have assigned two business partners (general BP & employee role).
I am creating the support message. In the support mesasge i am having the partner function as "Technical Head". In the my BP, i have mentioned the country as 'IN" (India). The "Reported by" is myself. So based on "Reported By" country, the partner function "Technical Head" to be auto populated in support message, from the org structure.

I am getting below error though I have assigned proper position in R/3 and also I have linked this with communication info type 105 using PA30. I am not able to see my data in portal.

I have used
1. BP_BUPA_GET_HROBJECT to get the person number based on PARTNER_GUID.
2. pass this person number to FM BP_CENTRALPERSON_ASSIGN_USER to assign user ID.
Instead of the creating new central personal number i have used above BP_BUPA_GET_HROBJECT fm.

External Ref. in Manual Assignment in Single Positions

Hi,
We create future position in product type 70D. 70D is mapping under Manual Assignment in Single Positions. Many open contracts create same date and same price but only contract no. is diff.
At the time of we create close deal system show date wise qty., price, value in Manual Assignment in Single Positions screen, but contract no not display. We enter contract no. in external ref field.
It is possible to external no. field in Manual Assignment in Single Positions screen, or any text field like internal ref, assignment etc. display this screen.

Hi,
The assignment screen is generated using standard structure screen - TRQS_LOT_ASSIG_ITEM_SCREEN. If you want to include any new field in the display, the program should be modified, but will no longer supported from SAP.
But please note that system displays the lot assignment in the chronological order within a single date, so you can select the respective lot using the available display itself.

I have this scenario from the client where a QA-GM hold 2 positions of Quality Assurance Manager & Quality Controll manager.
I have INDIA Payroll to be run.when i hire the person 0001 i have hired the QA MGR position as primary position assignment,what about QC Manager position i am wondering how to go about assigning the QC position to the GM as well & what are the possible impact i am going to face at the time of payroll run.the percentage distribution would be QA MGR-60% & QC MGR-40 % for 3 to 4 months.
Can i expect to have some knowledge sharing on the same,how to go about the same.
I need to update the client on this .

I can only think this is a problem with the DHCP scopes or something?
Are the phones getting their leases from the router or from another source as this may explain why rebooting it didn't help?
Also, what version of code are you using on the router?

We dont assign the Cost Centre to positon directly
We assign the Cost Centre to the Org Unit
later while assigning the Position to the Org Unit the cost Centre will auotmatically gets defaul to Positions which belongs to that Org Unit
try thru tcode PP01 give ur Object id of ur org unit and select Cost Centre Assigment infotype gibve the dates
ther give the Relationship A 011 and select ur Cost Centre (K)
or u can also do thru Expert Mode P010 also
Check this one and let me know if there is anything else

Assign Employee to Work Center Vs Project Team

Hi Experts,
I would like to ask you what are the main implications of assigning employees to the project using "Project Team for WBS element" instead of assigning them directly to the Work Centers?

Project team assigned to WBS element is available for use in all the work center of activities under this WBS. While if you assign a resouce to work center it is automatically available for project team if you want so.
While when you assign people to work center, then resource planning and capacity levelling is at more microlevel (network activity level).
The workcenter-personnel number is more rigid assignment than assigning a project team to WBS element.
There might be some more points which can have difference in both the process. I expect otherw will also express their views about them.

Assigning Employee to Sold-to Parties

Hi Experts,
I have created authorizations for Accounts, with this an employee can see, only those sold-to parties which he is responsbile for.
Now the huge task is assigning employees to the sold-to party, becuase there are around 300 employees each employee might be responsible for 500 sold-to parties. That means a minimum of 1,50,000 assignments.
Is there any functional module? What would be the easiest way to achieve the same?

probably, you get the details from the table HRP1001.
Key in the postion number in the field ObjectID and execute.
Look at the CP relationship (subtype A008, CP is linked to US-username). If you have multiple users assigned to this position, it will display multiple CP entries with Percentage distribution (field PROZT).

Hi huy,
To do this first you have to create project CJ20N tcode and create activities accordingly.
This project can be created as an org unit in your arg structure and assign holder.
The same project which you have created in CJ20N will be access in CAT2 (time sheets if you are maintianing).
Please be clear on your requirement so that i can provide you the exact solution.
