Here just provide Comp.code and correspondence type, it'll shows us the assigned Form and program

  • How do I make an Assignment EIT available to a responsibility that doesn't have access to the Assignment form?

I have a responsibility which does not have access to the professional assignment form.  However, they need access to the Costing information which is an Assignment Extra Information Type.  How can I give them this EIT without not giving them the Assignment form and linking the EIT to it?

    Hi,
Are you talking about seeded Costing then that is not an EIT. That is is Assignment --> Other --> Costing.
Probably what you can do is give them access to assignment form but make is disabled and then attach Costing which the they can update.
    Thanks,

Since the configuration in "assign form for payment method in company code" only cater for 1 form, how can we configure to include 2 forms?

    Hi all,
Since the configuration in "assign form for payment method in company code" only cater for 1 form, any idea on how to configure 2 forms to be included together?
I've tried in FBZP, but still only 1 form can be printed out.
If anyone can help me on this problem, generous points will be awarded.

Oracle 4.5-->6i-->10g, In this what are benefits of migrating into intermediate version.Oracle's migration path is 4.5, 6i, 10g it is more logical to migrate using this path and it is recommended by Oracle, the obsolete built-ins would be pointed out at compilation and fixes would be more automated and simple since Forms 6i was designed to accept migration from 4.5 and the internal design of the forms will be much more adaptable to later releases.
         2. if we migrating into intermediate version 6i, do we need to fix all the errors before moving to 6i.It would be better and easier to fix things in Forms 6i rather than 10g, you can leave them and than you'll have to fix them under 10g.
         3. if no, do we lose any functionlity while migrating to 10g.Functionality built on obsolete built-ins and commands will be lost, you are more likely to face bugs.
         4. Does Oracle support direct migration to 10g?Oracle's official migration path is 4.5 to 6i to 10g
         5. if we open oracle 4.5 form in 10g form builder, do we lose any functionality? do we need to lot manual replacement? It all depends on your application size and features. I suggest you migrate to Forms 6i first and than to 10g although you can do it directly to 10g since Forms 6i is no longer supported.
I personally rather follow the recommended path and use Oracle support in 10g migration.

  • Create Organization & assign forms bulk action

How can you create organizations by a bulk action,
Is it possible to assign userform & viewuserform along with this bulk action
As well as is it possible to assign a admin user to each Organisation

i figure it out by myself, Thought would be of use to someone if required.
created an xml file .... like below, and import it using the "Configure"- "ImportExport File " from the Administrator UI.
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
    <!DOCTYPE Waveset PUBLIC 'waveset.dtd' 'waveset.dtd'>
    <Waveset>
    <ObjectGroup name='OU one'> <MemberObjectGroups> <ObjectRef type='ObjectGroup' id='#Top#' name='Top'/> </MemberObjectGroups> </ObjectGroup>
    <ObjectGroup name='OU two'> <MemberObjectGroups> <ObjectRef type='ObjectGroup' id='#Top#' name='Top'/> </MemberObjectGroups> </ObjectGroup>
    <ObjectGroup name='OU three'> <MemberObjectGroups> <ObjectRef type='ObjectGroup' id='#Top#' name='Top'/> </MemberObjectGroups> </ObjectGroup>
    </Waveset
if u need to add approvers for any of these OUs you can add the tag "Approver" and you can assign forms too along with this .
The best way to do this is create a test OU with all that you need like approver, form etc...
    and use the same syntax.
If multiple OUs are created make sure you have the <Waveset> tag in there....

  • Deriving Effective Date on Assignment Form

    Hi All,
On the Assignment form, in the People Group KFF, we have defined a value set, which will render values based
on the effective date of the record. Could you please tell me how I can derive the effective_date from the Assignment form.
I do not want to use sysdate, because the user can date track to a different date other than the sysdate.
    Any help?
    Regards,
    Prathima.

    Hi
I think you want to get the Assignment Effective Start Date ,I have a question on the requirement lets take an example, if the Assignment record is starting from 01-Jan-2011 and ending 31-Jan-2011 and again starting from 01-Feb-2011 and continuing till end of time. So if user date track to 25-Jan-2011 so in this case you want effective_start_date as 01-Jan-2011 or 01-Feb-2011.
If you always want Latest Effective Start Date (01-Feb-2011 in the example ) then you can use the below query -
    Select effective_start_date from per_all_assignments_f
    where effective_end_date ='31-DEC-412'
    primary_flag='Y'

  • Function to return Job History from the Employee Assignment Form (EBS)

    Hi All,
I was hoping to get some help from some SQL and PL/SQL experts on a problem which I’ve been battling to solve, without lots of subquery and self joins and performance problems.
I would ideally like to create a PL/SQL function that would return an Assignment Effective Start Date from an employees record in HR eBusiness Suite based on a few conditions.
I find it easiest to explain with the below table example, which is for a single person, lets say person_id = 3546:
*<PRE> ID Effective Start Date Effective End Date </PRE>*
    <PRE> 01 01-DEC-2009 31-DEC-2009 </PRE>
    <PRE> 01 *01-NOV-2009* 30-NOV-2009 </PRE>
    <PRE> 88 01-OCT-2009 31-OCT-2009 </PRE>
    <PRE> 01 01-SEP-2009 30-SEP-2009 </PRE>
    <PRE> 67 01-AUG-2009 31-AUG-2009 </PRE>
Above are all the assignments for person_id 3546 with the ID of the Job/Grade they have been assigned. What I need to achieve is, that if I run a report as of the 15-DEC-2009, I would like see the 'Effective Start Date' of '01-NOV-2009' for the most recent ID that has been assigned to the person, in this case ID 01. It shouldn't group ID 01 and give the the date of '01-SEP-2009'.
    Some more examples:
If I change the as of date to '10-NOV-2009' and run the report, i would get an 'Effective Start Date' of '01-NOV-2009' for ID 01.
If I change the as of date to '15-OCT-2009' and run the report, i would get an 'Effective Start Date' of '01-OCT-2009' for ID 88.
If I change the as of date to '29-SEP-2009' and run the report, i would get an 'Effective Start Date' of '01-SEP-2009' for ID 01 .
Have i explained enough?? And has anyone some ideas?
    Many thanks,
    Lance

The logic behind this, is that for an employee I need to determine how long that employee has been in there current job for. In the example I gave, the ID relates to the job ID and walking through the assignments this is what happens.
At '01-AUG-2009' the employee was at job id 67.
At '01-SEP-2009' the employee changed jobs and therefore their new ID was 01.
At '01-OCT-2009' the employee was temporarily promoted to job D of 88.
However at '01-NOV-2009' they returned to the previous grade ID of 01.
Therefore if I ask the question, as of today’s date, how long has the person been in their current job for. I would need to calculate the days from today - '01-NOV-2009'. I wouldn't take '01-DEC-2009' into consideration, because the employee was in the same job the previous month/assignment as well, therefore I need to take the min of these two dates to show the date of when the person first had a job ID of 01.
With regards to the logic shown below, this is similar to the date track function found across HR eBusiness forms. Depending on that 'As of Date' is entered, should return the date when that person was first in their current job.
as of 15-DEC-2009 should give 01-NOV-2009
as of 10-NOV-2009 should give 01-NOV-2009
as of 29-SEP-2009 should give 01-SEP-2009
Within the long winded SQL I have written, it contains the following condition: 'As of Date' >= 'Effective Start Date'. This is acting as my date track feature to only show assignments available to the employee at a particular date. The below code is taken from Oracle’s view called hrfg_job_history. I have had to use this to get my data, but at a cost of performance.
    SELECT /* unique attributes */ bgrt.NAME business_group_name,
            peo.full_name person_name, job.NAME job_name,

    Ken,
You can set the the value on the server side from any event hadlers by calling p_session.set_value() function. For an example please see Portal FAQ: http://otn.oracle.com/products/iportal/htdocs/portal_faq.htm

  • Dynamic Assignment Form Permission

    Original post by khunte42
    5:57am, May 25
I want to be able to turn on and off the edit permission/access control of part of a form depending on if the person that is viewing the form is a member of the current assigned Service Team/Queue or not.  Is this possible I was thinking of using namespace variables to check membership that would have to be on load etc.  If anyone can shed some light on this or if someone has done this before please do share.  I don't want to have to recreate the wheel unless it is doable and necessary, thanks!

    Hi,
I don't think you will be able to define this based a Service Team or Queue. Another work around I believe would to be create a custom role within OrganisationDesigner and assign those people you wish to have edit permissions on that form to the custom role created. Once the custom role has been defined you can then use AFC rules to create a condition based on that role and then apply the rules you want to take effect, show or hide a certain dictionary or field, make editable, etc and then make the triggering event on load.

    Hi,
    Here is the way
Go to SPRO ->  Plant Maintainance and Customer Service -> Maintainance and Service Processing - >Maintainance and Service Orders - > Print Control -> Define Shop Papers, Forms and Output programs ->Click on Define shop papers .
Here you check shop paper for Service order and attach form & Program.
