Assigning inspection lot origin to new movement type

I have created a new movement type. How do i assign inspection lot origin to this new movement type?

Dear Sujit,
We are using inspection lot origin 06 for customer returns. However 06 doesn't allow you to post stock. The quality team wants to post the stock to unrestricted or scrap or blocked as per the inspection result. If we use inspection lot origin 05 then we are able to post stock for the inspection lot generated while transferring the stock form returns to quality. Now the problem is for prodn GR that is for FG we r using 05 for the same material. So there is a clash as inspection characteristics for FG and customer return is different but usage is becoming same-5. That's we are trying to create a new movement type 957 by copying 457 but we are unable to create and assign inspection lot origin to it.

i try to delete all record of customized movement type 949 that i think it copy from movement type 501 in this customizing then try to GR with this movement type, so system still generate inspection as normal.
then i re-insert the movement back into this customizing again then i wonder that system automatic fill in lot origin for me and this field also gray that not changeable
how system know the appropriate lot origin for this customized movement type?
Please anyone explain to me.

Hi,
Inspection lot origins are assigned to movement types in standart. The assignment is hardcoded and cannot be changed. In this customization step you can only see the origin assigned. When you copy movement types from standart the assigned inspection origin also gets copied, and you also cannot chenge this assignment.
What you can do is to activate inspection for each movement type, or to customize selection of the inspection type within the inspection origin assigned.

Inspection lot generation during 322 movement type

Hi Experts
whenever we clear inspection lot from Quality we are having one issue first time user has given wrong UD code as Accepted,but that wasactually wrong,what he does is he will reverse the Lot through 322movement type,And again actually the material had to be sent for reprocess as shade is not matching,
So the user will send the same material for Reprocess to Storage location-PF09.
while doing 322 a new inspection lot is getting generated.while doing 322 movement why system is geenerating a new lot.Can we not make 322 in same inspection lot.

You would have maintained inspection type -08 for making 322 movement type as otherwsie i dont think its possible to reverse the material to quality stock
As you have maintained inspection type -08 so it will cerate a new inspection lot to execute 322

Inspection lot generation for 343 movement type.

My client's requirement is to generate inspection lot when a specific type of material is transferred from block stock of a storage location to unrestricted stock of another storage location i.e. movement type- 343, can anybody please explain how to generate the inspection lot and what are the settings, master data to be maintained? thanks in advance.

Hi Rajib,
In first place you need to have Quality infor record for material and vendor create through QI01 t code.
QM must be activated for mvt type 343 in SPRO --> QM --> Qual Insp --> Insp Lot Creation --> Inspection for goods movements.
Check the box "QM Proc. Active" in Mat master in Quality tab.
Activate inspection type 08 in mat master.
Then do the transfer posting you will get mat doc number.
Go to display mode of mat doc,
You will find Ins lot number created in Quantity tab at item level of material document.

Inspection lot not created for movement type 101 O

. We are creating a PO (ME21N) indicating in the view u201CDelivery addressu201D the same vendor than the PO and the flag u201CSubcontracting vendoru201D
. The material has in MM02 the inspection type 0130 Receiving Insp. from External Processing.
. There is QM plan with the Usage 53 GR external process.
. When we do MIGO 101 u201CSpecial Stock Indicatoru201D O Parts prov. Vendor. The system doesnot create an inspection lot.
But in MMBE the stock appears in u201CStock Provided to Vendoru201D u201Cquality stocku201D. The customer wants to control that stock in u201CQuality inspection:

The most truely answer is,
till 4.5B, active table is: T156S
beginning from 4.6A, active table is: T156SY
for stock related transactions, it's decided in fm: MB_CONTROL_MOVETYPE_GET
beginning of row 151.
There is also an enhancement.

542 movement type copy to new movement type

Hai Experts,
I have one issue. As per standard SAP, Material return from sub-contracting vendor will go to unrestricted use only. as per client requirement stock should go to quality so i thought to create new movement type.
For creating new movement type, i have copied 542 MOVEMENT TYPE.. but there i couldn't be able to put " Movement Type/Update Control/Inspection Lot Origin " With out this control for that movement type. stock willnot move to quality
please suggest me how to solve this problem

542 movemnt will not allow you to post to inspections stock.
Even copying the same & creating new one will not help you.
Better transfer the Stock using movment 322 O in transaction MB1B
this will transfer the stock from Vendor Unrestricted use to QI stock.
Now perform the 542 movment this will transfer the Stock into QI stock in the Plant.
If you need to do this using 542 or a copy of 542 then its not possible as The inspection lot origin for a movement type is defined by SAP and cannot be changed.

Inspection lot origin don't work in COA

Hello All,
I have created a COA Profile (QC01), Where in I have assign inspection type 89 in the field "Insp.lot origin" and "Inspection Type". Now as per the F1 help suggest I am expecting that system will not allow me to print COA for those lots don't belongs to inspection type 89, but surprisingly it allows to take print out for inspection lot origins for 01, 08 types also.
I am using the STD COA form "QM_QCERT_01"
Taking print from QC21
Pls let me know what and/or where I am missing something!!!!!!!

Creation of Inspection Lot in QM Module without inspection lot origin

I want a solution regarding creation of inspection lot without assigning inspection lot origin to material code.
We have developed function which creates inspection lot for the material against which PDI is envisaged on the material of a particular Purchase order. In my view we do not require assigning inspection lot origin on the material code as process has been mapped through Qinfo record. By assigning the inspection lot origin on the material is unnecessary step in our process.
Can any body suggest solution regarding above problem.

As per SAP std You can not create a Inpsection lot origine but you can certainly create a Inspection type.
Just a suggesion..
Try Inspection lot origin: 89 (Misc) NoRange: 90 DCr :001 ,TL Type : S and Stat : 4
and create Inspection type 90 with varient 01/02 in inspection lot origine 01.
This will solve your purpose

May I ask what are you refer to for MM? It seems like movement type to me, however, I can't find movement type field in the structure within the component of EXIT_SAPLQAAT_002. Appreciate if you could shed some light on this.

Yes.. you are correct. But with the info that is provided by EXIT_SAPLQAAT_002, you should be able to identify the proper material document in table MSEG which will have the material movement.
You can use the values of plant, batch, material number, Purchase order number, Order number, item number, storage location as well as the current date since the exit would normally be executed on the same date the material movement was done. You'd also probably only execute the logic if QKZ is "X".

You should 1st create/define the inspection types in OQL1 for your needs then you should assign them to locations.

GL assignment to the new movement type copied from101(GR of purchase order)

Dear friends,
user need another movement type copied from 101 due to diffierent GL assignment needed for the new movement type.
while below is the only combination for PRD(cost (price) diffierences) is OBYC. and the first row is the current GL assignment for 101.
My question is : How do I assign diffierent GL for the newly copied movement type ,say Z01.

Hi,
Go to t code OMJJ and locate your movement type Z01. Then go to Account Grouping on the left pane and create a new account modifier there. Then give the same account modifier in OBYC settings and assign the GL account against it.
