Assigning Material Componet to operation in PM.

Hi All,
While creating task list(tcode IA05), i need to assign Componets to operation activity.Now in the componet assignment, the material deatils(material,quantity etc) are to be picked from different storage location of same plant( as same material is present in more than one storage location within same plant).But here the problem is that the storage location field "Sloc" is uneditable i.e grayed.How to select material from multiple storage location?

i think you cannot able to assign the storage location in the task list ,since it is used for planning you cannot plan for particular storage location ,you can use customer exit in the maintenance order to determine the storage location

Debrata,
The storage location field is not available for a task list component. One option you may want to explore is to use the supply area functionality for a work center. This is a way of setting the storage location for a component in a work order based on the work center assigned to the operation. You create supply areas in PK05 and then assign them to work centers in IR02.

Assignment of material to sub-operations

Hi friends,
Please tell me whether we can assign a item from the BOM to a Sub-operation?
I tried to assign it but it is getting assigned to the main operation only?
please throw some clarity on it.

Hi,
A sub-operation is used when a detailed planning of the process to be done in an (main) operation is required. The material component is assigned to the first operation by default.If you want to assign the component to a different operation then you can use component allocation tab.
Hence, there is no need to assign the material to a sub-operation since the main operation is already assigned a material.

What is meant by assignement of material componets by Material BOM and By Standard BOM in the standard network and when to use the same.

Hi,
The only way to assign materials to an activity of a standard network is via a BOM. When linking a BOM to thehe activity, the items of the BOM are automatically assigned to the activity.
You can link a material master BOM, but you can also link a kind of dummy BOM (standard BOM). The standard BOM is especially created for a particular assignment. When creating the standard BOM starting from the standard network you will see that a BOM is created with a header that has a reference to the standard network number (this is the standard object). There exist no master data record for the standard object.

CN01 assign Material Component to internal activity

In transaction CN01 / CN02 can I assign only one Material Component to internal activity without Bill of Material (BOM)?

and I must use a Bill of Material to assign material component. There is no other choice
This is the point where I disagree with SAP, cause the client says that they use Operational Networks, cause it's more simple to assign components to activities.

Assignment of components to operations using LSMW

i created routing using LSMW.
i created all the operations using direct nput methode
and material to group assignmebt using batch input methode.
but i was not able to assign my components of the BOM to my routnig operations.
How to do this.
which one is the best and easy way. direct or batch input methode.

Now I am clear.
You need to create different 2 BOM and with BOM items, as below,
example - total requirement of material A is say 10.
Semi finished Product- X BOM
BOM item 1 - material A-qty 8
BOM item 2 - material B-qty -5
Finished material Y - BOM
BOM item 1 - semifished material X-qty 10
BOM item 2 - material C-qty 10
BOM item 3 - material A-qty 2
BOM item 4 - material D-qty -2
You need to create above 2 BOM's if you want to see semifished product into inventory, if not proceed as below
Finished material Y - BOM
BOM item 1 - material A-qty 8 assign it to routing operation 10
BOM item 2 - material B-qty -5 assign it to routing operation 10
BOM item 2 - material C-qty 10 assign it to routing operation 20
BOM item 3 - material A-qty 2 assign it to routing operation 30
BOM item 4 - material D-qty -2 assign it to routing operation 30
I think this is the only way you can map it.

Activity 0010 has been assigned material components - Deletion not allowed

HI friends,
Even after deleting the material from the activity, the system is giving the following error message
Activity 0010 has been assigned material components - Deletion not allowed
The status of the activity is REL.
One purchase order already created for this WBS element.
The material found deleted from the activity but why it is giving the same message.

Is that material already consumed?
Generally when you try to delete the operation, it also deletes the dependencies of the activity, i.e., it deletes the components associated to that activity, if it is not issued to the order.
Check the details in your system.

Urgent Error in Displaying Hierarchy in Bex- like not assigned Material

Hi Gurus,
plz solve my problem like displaying Hierarchy in Bex ,
I loaded hierarchy from R/3 system into Bw 0Mterial.
In Bex 0material Properties I Selected heirachy on Material , this heirarchy having 8 levels,
but in the out put it showing only one level displayng
like Not Assigned Material.
i did all the bex setting well, but i dnot know why i am getting this ...
plz any one help..

Is your heirarchy uploaded properly for 0Material ?? If yes juct check out if your transcational data is in sync with the hierarchy master ? If it is not then it wuill display as Not Assigned..

Block Material for all operations

Hi gurus,
I need block a material for all operations. In material master, field X-plant matl status is ok with all possible blocks that system offers. But, I can still do inventory, and other operations...
How Can I block for all operations a material???

In IM it is possibel to block but in WM it isn't (according to my best knowledge).
WM-inventory > block WM inventory booking of materials that are out of use

How to use T-Code QP01/QP02 FM CZ_CL_S_MTK_CREATE to assign material?

I guess the function can hep me to assign material to the insepection plan?

Auto GR of Serial number assign material

Dear All,
I have assign serial number to the inhouse produce material. And as per client requirement of automatic GR for same material, am doing auto goods movement at the time of confirmation.
So for serial number assignment material system giving error for serial number obligatory material this movement is not possible.
Is there any other method for serial number assign material to do auto GR. Plz revert its urgent.

we tried to do Auto Gr with serial number for FG iIn my company but can't do. Finally we convinced our users to do manually.This is SAP standard that Auto GR is not possible for the material maintain with Serial Number
So you must convince your clients for the same

Assign one Componet to another Componet

Hi
we have "payment form" view in sales order item details page. But if we open "Credit Memo" item details page, this "Payment Form" is not available. So our Requirement we need "Payment Form" view in "Credit Memo item Details Page" same like "Sales order Item Detail page".
In the analysis "payment form " view is separate componet. So i need to use this componet into another componet
Payment Form Compont : ICCMP_PAYMENT
View : simplePayment
Kindly suggest how to assign one componet to another componet and how we can bind both componet attibutes.

Thank you. This development testing is going on, still now there is no issue and object is working fine.
One more Development and one question,
This one also same kind of work such that we need to make use of one comonent view into another component. Here required view belongs componet has so many views as well it's one of the main component and view has five fields which has from different context nodes.
Kindly suggest For this development can we do same kind of configuration like previouse work of "payment Form"?
if we use large componet view in another component Will it not be any performence issue or not?
Else we need to go for any other approch. Please sugest.

Plant grey out when assign material to activity

Dear All
How can system make it gray in plant when i will assign material to activity at created stage of WBS. Is there any config to make it gray in the plant &material under activity ??? I want plant to be editable even after assign material to activty.

Thanx for your reply but in my project when i assign material to activity w.r.t procurment indicator (PF) as a MRP- relevant reservation my plant was editable but when i assign material w.r.t procurment indicator (ZPF) in advance procurment via a network my plant was not editable @ that time my PR no. also not generated. If plant was not editable after generated PR it was okay but user require that before generated PR it was editable like in MRP- relevant reservation.

Assigning Material Group per User

Hi SAP Experts! =)
Pls Help! does anybody have an idea how can I assign a Material Group per User. This is for authorization purposes. What I just know, is to Assign just one Material Group per user through Parameter ID MKL. This will only solve my problem if a User will only have access for a Single Material Group.
Do you know a way how to Assign access for Multiple Material Groups? I would want to use this for the PR/PO process, so a User will only purchase Materials under his/her assigned Material Groups. =)

HI,
Usually we give a star symbol for the authorisation object of material groups means the user is authorised for all the material groups.
In case if you want to give multiple material groups for the user then we have to specify the material groups instaed of the star symbol.
You can check the users authorisaion against the user ID in tcode SUIM.(Users with complex selection)
