Assigning ONE PERSONNEL AREA (PA) to more than one Company Code
Can we assign one personnel to more one company code, and if yes, config. step please?
For example:
Can we assign personnel area - AUTO to Company code 1000, 2000 & 3000.
Thanks for your quick answer.
Let me present you a scenario, ok.
We are implementing PA, OM, PY, Recruitment for a company having single client. There are 3 company codes created by FI guys.
Now, we want to go-live with 3 company code at a time. While doing configuration for these sub-modules, we were thinking to have a company configuration that could be used across all company codes.
So we would like to know for example, can we have a common Enterprise, Personnel & org. structures for all the 3 company codes. Can we configure PA and it could be used across 3 company codes, and same things apply to OM, PA & Rec.
Because we want to go-live with company code in 3months?

KNB1 - Customer is creating in more than 2 company codes.
Dear Developers,
I have a unique isuue related to CRM -> R/3.
I'm creating a customer in CRM system which is replicated to R/3.
while replication, the customer is picking up company code data(KNB1) from the reference customer. Here for the reference customer in R/3 we are maintaining 2 company code (Ex.CCUS & CCCA)
My objective is to create customer for one company code depending on the sales organisation (KNVV-VKORG)
Best solution will get reward points...
Thanks in advance...<b></b><b></b><b></b><b></b>Dear Uwe Schieferstein
you almost reached my point.
My client says that he will maintain more than 1 company code for the reference customer. while replication it should pick the appropriate company code from the sales organization.
for example I'm replicating customer for US (IGUS) it should pick company code (IGUS) from reference customer.
if I create for India(IGIN) the company code should be (IGIN).
in the function module SD_CUSTOMER_MAINTAIN_ALL the reference customer comapny code details are fetched from the data base KNB1 and populated to Internal table.
if the company codes are more than one all the badi's are triggered only once for the 1st loop. i.e., for the first company code. so, this is causing problem to override custom values.
hope you understood my exact problem...
please guide me in this regard.
I promise full points for the successful solution.

Intercompany transactions with more than two company codes
Hi fellow members,
We have a requirement for intercompany transactions with more than 2 company codes. The sales order is booked in company code A and goods are despatched from plant that belongs to company code B. However, we need the inter-company invoice to be posted between company code B and an intermediary company code C. The second inter-company invoice is to be posted between company code C and company code A.
There could be more than one intermediary involved based on the company code in which the sales order is booked and the company code of the delivering plant. Would appreciate inputs from the forum of how this could be achieved in ECC.
Appreciate your help
Regards
Rohit ZalaniHi Rohit,
Two scenario require as per your requirement.
Inter company Sale between A TO B .
Cross Company stock transfer between B to C.

Can we assign cost center to more than one company code.
Hi All,
Can we use same cost center for more than one company code to post the cost ? Or is it company code dependant?
Thanks,
KumarHi Kumar,
Although the cost center is created under a controlling area, we cannot extend to more than once company code in that controlling area. The Co.code field in Cost Center Master data cannot allow you to feed more than one company code.
But you can post some values from a company code other than the company code to which it is extended. In such case, inter company postings will trigger.
Hope this will clarify your issue.

Can we assign more than one sales org to one company code ?
can we assign more than one sales org to one company code ?
or one as to one only ?
why sales org is assigned at company code level why not on plant level ?
regardsMultiple sales organizations can be assigned to company code.
Company code is the highest organizational unit and plant and sales organization are assigned to it.
In the logistics module, Plant is the highest entity in the MM module and Sales organization is the highest entity in SD module. Basically with this assignment of plant and sales org to company code all the financial accounts are updated.
Assigning of Sales org to company code and not to plant is the standard functionality that helps map most business processes.

More than one posting period variant for one company code
Dear Colleagues,
My question is if it's somehow possible to assign more than one posting period variant to one company code? (I am not a FI specialist...)
(We are using the new GL and would like to define a special posting period interval for a non-leading ledger. The c.codes already exists and are already assigned to a posting period variant.)
The reason for why we would need an additional posting period variant for an existing c.code, is because we are already using both posting period intervals in t.code OB52.)
Best regards
Viveka SchwartzHi
You can assign a PPV to the Non Leading ledger separately.. That means both Leading and NOn Leading ledgers can have separate PPVs
Apart from this, no 3rd PPV is possible.. As Eli said, Validation is the only option, but I think Validations work for Leading ledgers only

Srinivas GundalaHi
Please check whether the follwoing node is available in 4.6C or not.
SPRO - FA - Special Purpose Ledger - Basic Settings - Master Data - Ledger - Define Ledger
This is where you do ledger configuration and subsequently assign another FY Variant according to your requirement.
Hope this helps.

One or More Credit Control Area assinged to one company code
HI Guys,
In credit management , the below said customizing is done by FI.
Financial Accounting Customizing
Financial Accounting  Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable  Credit Management  Credit Control Account  Assign Permitted Control Areas to Company Code
Can any one explain why and for what purpose assign permitted control areas to company code.
Because one control area can be assigned to one company code. If not please clarify.
Regards,
SaiCredit Control Area
Definition
An organizational unit that represents the area where customer credit is awarded and monitored.
This organizational unit can either be a single or several company codes, if credit control is
performed across several company codes. One credit control area contains credit control
information for each customer.
Use
Credit and risk management takes place in the credit control area. According to your corporate
requirements, you can implement credit management that is centralized, decentralized, or
somewhere in between.
For example, if your credit management is centralized, you can define one credit control
area for all of your company codes.
If, on the other hand, your credit policy requires decentralized credit management, you
can define credit control areas for each company code or each group of company codes.
Credit limits and credit exposure are managed at both credit control area and customer level.
You set up credit control areas and other data related to credit management in Customizing for
Financial Accounting. For more information, see the Implementation Guide under Enterprise
Structure Definition or Assignment Financial Accounting and then Maintain credit control
area. You assign customers to specific credit control areas and specify the appropriate credit
limits in the customer master record. -

[email protected]Dear,
do not transfer employee from one company code to another issues are as under.
1. Employees Form 16 you will get wrong value as per I Tax law because of company is having different PAN & TAN.
2. Form 24 Q annual return data will not get properly/easily from SAP because of form 24 Q will run on Payroll area base/ company code base
3. PF number is different for these 2 company codes then you are unable to submit annual return.
4. If employee will get hike after the transfer case then system will post expenses period wise means if employee is having 2 different cost center related 2 different company codes posting will done as per this scenario is it accepted to Account Depatment? it is reflected in FICO through KSBB how can they manage expenditure which is related to previous month?
Like this many points are there you have to study it and then suggest to your client.

Please advice me.
Thanks,
VascoHi,
You can talk with your abaper & maintain entries in the Y Z table & at the time of print you can pop up one screen & put your co code. System will check the cocode with the y z table.
Then you will be able to print in different cocode.
Thanx

09990019711Hi,
we can have multiple credit control areas based on req-
eg: client wants to restrict customer based on divisoin wise.
then we will maintain credit control area based on sales area
there 3 division in a comp: AA -BB - CC
thens sales areas will be:
1000-10 -AA
1000-10-BB
1000-10-CC ( assuming therez one sales org-1000 & dc 10)
now create 3 cr control areas- OB45
Assign sales area to cr Control area - OVFL
Assign permitted credit control areas to comp code - IMG- FA- AR&AP- Credit Management- Credit control account - Assign permitted credit control areas to comp code.
Now you can assign this Cr CA- by sales area wise in CMR & maintain the credit limits for each Cr CA.
So when ever your needs wants to do it by division or sales area wise you can do this.
Thanks,
Raja
