Assigning ports to multiple devices with HH5

Im am trying to assign ports to each of my gaming devices (PS4, Xbox One and PC), these devices share some ports such as 3074, 80, 53, etc. I have set up the PS4, but when I tried to set up the Xbox One it wouldn't let me as the PS4 has duplicate ports.
Is there any way to set up multiple devices with the same ports?

You can only forward the same port(s) to one device.
If you forget about using port forwarding, and simply allow uPnP to allocate the ports, then you should be able to use one device at a time.

  • Multiple devices with the same GUID

    Hi,
According to the Zenworks Command line utilities reference https://www.novell.com/documentation...a/bb15p2z.html
There exists an option to register a device with a new GUID by doing the following...
    register (reg) [-g] [-k <key>] [-u <username> -p <password] <ZENworks Server addressort>
Registers the device in a Management Zone.
You can use the following options:
g - Lets you create a new device object with a new GUID and password for the device if you have multiple devices with the same GUID. When you register a device by using this switch, all the associations (policies and bundles) assigned to the original device object are removed. You cannot use this option to create a new GUID for a Primary Server or a Satellite device. The local user must have Local Administrator rights to use this option.
I would like to know if it is possible to have such a command line option for the agent installation. So built into the agent installer, a command line option to force the agent to register with a new GUID.
We are having CONTINUOUS problems with the above scenario. When we move devices from one computer lab to another and re-image the device, Zenworks keps trying to assign the same GUID to the device and this mixes up our Dynamic Workstation groups, which then affect the applicable policies to each device.
I would like to know if there is an option to tell the installer to stop remembering the GUID and simply register the device with a new guid on agent installation.
This way we can build that into the post imaging scripts which install the zenworks agent.

    Hi Craig,
OK, I've had a look at the ZCM Reconcile rules and run a few tests to see if it is possible to get the machines not to reconcile (use a new GUID after imaging).
As I have explained before, sometimes this result is desired in our case especially when we move machines around from lab to lab.
So far, no matter what configuration I use, I cannot get Zenworks to generate a new GUID for a device that is getting re-imaged (without doing so only after the fact by unregistering the machine and reregistering the machine via the zac und and zac reg -g).
We use dynamic workstation groups to assign policies and bundles to machines so reconciling the devices is not necessary most of the time. We need an option to tell the machine to register with a new GUID on installation of the agent. Surely such an option can be built into the agent installer?
The options in the ZCM config management "reconcile settings" I tested with are:
    Serial Number - Unticked/Unselected
    Mac Address - Unticked/Unselected
    Machine Name - Unticked/Unselected
    Enable Differentiation - Unticked/Unselected
    I then also tested:
    Serial Number - Unticked/Unselected
    Mac Address - Unticked/Unselected
    Machine Name - Ticked/Selected
    Enable Differentation - Ticked/Selected
    and also:
    Serial Number - Unticked/Unselected
    Mac Address - Unticked/Unselected
    Machine Name - Ticked/Selected
    Enable Differentation - Unticked/Unselected
With all three different configurations, I re-imaged the same machine, which renames the machine via the first post imaging installation script to match the DNS name. Thereafter the Zenworks agent gets installed, which then renames the machine back to what it was registered into the Zenworks database with on first installation.
We need a method of telling Zenworks NOT to reconcile when we want it to. It should not reconcile every time and thereby rename the machine netBIOS name.
Is there any way to achieve this?

The same thing could apply if bringing in new Hardware.
If a new computer were to replace an old computer but the name stayed the same, everything could be automatic depending on the rules setup.
It is all a matter of how you tell ZCM to reconcile devices.
The Help in the ZCC under these items should explain how it works so you can setup your rules to meet your use cases.

  • How do set up multiple devices with multiple graphs in labview

    Hello,
I am new at LabView, and we are trying to setup a test rig to measure voltage, pressure and flow rates. We are currently using a NI-6009USB box and Labview version 8.2.  Our problem lies in setting up the actual measurements on separate graphs. How do i go about setting up the daq-assistant to measure mulitple devices, and graph them on their own graphs?  We also need to know how to program in when measuring flow, how to convert it from square wave form to a calibrated curve?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Nate

When you configure the DAQ Assistant, you will be first asked to select the measurement type. Assuming that you have voltage sensors because you have the 6009, you select Analog Input>Voltage. You then get a list of devices. Since you only have one, it should be listed as Dev1. Expand that and then pick the channels you have connected to the sensors. Just like it says at the bottom of the of the channel window, you can select multiple channels with  <CTL> or <SHIFT> click. After you've done that, the next window is where you select your sample rate, number of samples, etc. You can also select a custom scale for each channel. This is where you would enter any formula you have from the sensor vendor in order to convert a voltage reading to scaled units.
The output of the DAQ Assistant is a dynamic data type. You can wire this to a single graph to display all readings together or use the Split Signals function to break out individual channels for separate graphs.

  • [EA4500] Multiple Devices with Open NAT?

    Hello!
I have a PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The problem Im having and that Ive been having is keeping their NAT status to open. They are all assigned static IP addresses (which I made). What I do now is that everytime I want to use one of the devices, I go to my router settings and change the DMZ IP address to the static assigned IP of the device Im going to use.
While this works perfectly, its very annoying to switch from one devices IP to another and if another family member wants to use one of the devices, only one of us can have an OPEN NAT.
I already tried Port-forwarding from the listed ports on Microsofts/Sonys website and while certain features work, others tend not to. An example of that is on my Xbox 360, it tells me to open port 3074 and while this works for PartyChat and Halo, this probably wont work on Call of Duty. I already have the UPnP option set to Enabled and my routers firmware is up-to-date
My idea is to purchase another EA4500 (lets call it Router 2) and connect it to my main EA4500. Then, on my main EA4500, I DMZ the IP address of Router 2 (which I will make) and disable all security features of Router 2 to ensure everything is open. Ofcourse, only the 4 devices listed above will be connected to it so none of my computers get hacked but after disabling my main routers IPv4 and IPv6 firewall just to see the results, not all the devices get an OPEN NAT!
Another thing im looking at is "Port Range Triggering" and while I think this is the answer, I do not fully understand it and would like some help on telling me how it woks.
How can I fix this problem?
    Thank you!

    Hi  INeedHelpPlease101,
Having 2 routers in the network won't work for you. Who is your Internet Service Provider? I would suggest you configure the other EA4500 as a plain access point and make sure that you are getting a Public Internet IP address from the modem.

  • What is the best way to manage multiple devices with one iMac - different users with seperate itunes accounts or one mac user with different itune logons and libraries?

    Hello
I have just purchased an imac which I am very happy with.  In our household we also have two iphones (one mine and one husbands) and one ipod (my sons). We all have individual itunes accounts set up on our previous computer (not a mac). We have sepereate apps and music, although there may be the odd occasion where we would like to share a song (if this is possible) across devices.
I am just wondering the best way to manage these devices using the new imac.  Should I create individual accounts to logon to the imac, then from within these launch our own itunes accounts and sync our devices with these.  Or should I be using one version of itunes, logging on to this with our different itunes usernames and storing things in libraries.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

I am presuming that we cannot share downloaded apps and music between accounts because of the copyright issue,
Though I'm no copyright lawyer, as long as it's within a household, you can share content among users. Such sharing is, absent specific language preventing it not present in the iTunes Store terms of use, generally considered to be "personal use". So you can share apps and music amongst your users on your computer and with their devices. You just can't give any of that content to friends or relatives who don't live with you.
What I am not clear on, it making sure that this appears in each itunes account - is it easy to find the file storage folders that match the itunes accounts and what would these be?
The iTunes library and files are by default in a user's Home/Music folder. But you don't have to find the folder; in fact putting a file into the folder yourself won't add the file to iTunes. Just drag the file into the iTunes window. iTunes will copy it to the correct location.
    Regards.

  • Multiple devices with one email address

I have several devices with skype. I'd like any device to be able to call any other device, but only use a single email address. Basically, Is there any way to do this? How?

Each user should have their own icloud account, otherwise they end up getting the same emails, contacts, calendars, notes, reminders, etc. - usually not what you want.  But if all have been sharing the same itunes ID, keep it that way, you can have different IDs for itunes and icloud.
If you already have another icloud account, and want to set it up on a device, then go to Settings>icloud, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Delete Account.  This only disconnects the device from that account, no data is lost on icloud.  Then enter the account ID that you want to use.

  • Facetime on multiple devices with same Apple ID?

Hi...we have an iPad 1, iPhone 4S, iPod touch from 2010 and new iPod Touch yesterday.
I have not set up the new iPod Touch yet...but all the other devices are using the same Apple ID so I can buy apps and allow all my devices to get the apps installed for free.  Great.
How can I set up my new iPod Touch to use the same Apple ID and also do Facetime?  If I use the same Apple ID I would think that my other devices would start to ring when I try to Facetime.  No?
If you know how to do this, can you please reply and give exact steps?
    Thanks so much in advance.
    -Eric

@dutra - Your suggestion worked like a charm. I have two options setup under my daughter's name in Facetime: Touch and iPAd. All I need to do is choose which I want to call. Easy-peasy.
@jeffreyfromorillia - This advice may be too late... But, register each device using your ID, as you should. Once this is complete do the following:
1 - Go to SETTINGS on device A
    2 - Choose FACETIME
          - here you'll see your ID in the account field -- ignore it/leave it there.
         - below you'll see the email field, enter your daughter's email addy (you don't have to worry about the "+XXX"      unless she has more than once device because it applies only to the multiple device scenario)
         - IF you have used your email addy in the email field, click on Add Another Email and enter daughter's addy      here, then go back and choose your email addy and click remove
You are good to go. Repeat same steps for your stepdaughter's device.
If either girl has multiple devices you want to Facetime, follow steps 1 and 2, and in the email field click on Add Another Email and enter - [email protected] - then go back and delete orignal email entered. Do same for second device - [email protected], remembering to delete orginal email here, too.
On your device go to Facetime and edit contact - it prolly shows HOME / WORK / OTHER, click on it and choose CUSTOM, name it iPod, then enter the NEW email "[email protected]" and do same for second device, customizing the field to read iPad, or whatever you choose... Now you should have two options to choose from for contacting Girl 1. Repeat for Girl 2.
Hope this works for you, it worked out splendidly for me.
    Cheers.

  • Multiple Devices with Same ID but Different Contacts

My family and I all use one apple id on one computer. I have 5 kids so they all wish to share music and such on their multiple devices.
But, they wish to keep their contacts separate.
Is there an easy way to do this?
I have heard of having several iClouds, but I wish to not do this if possible.
    Thanks!

If you are comfortable still using the same AppleID, you can always purchase more storage at a very low cost. Just go to settings>icloud>storage & backup>and change storage plan. You can upgrade for as little as $10. Hope this helps!

  • Having to delete your same iMessage conversations on multiple devices with iCloud enabled

I have iCloud enabled on my Mac, iPad, and iPhone.  Apple could possibly develop a feature where if one device with iCloud that is turned on deletes a message conversation, it deletes the converstation on your other (turned on) iCloud devices as well.  This way, when you switch from using your iPhone to iPad, you will not have the 10 different converstations you started on your iPhone that were deleted, on your iPad to delete as well.

I'm sorry I'm not being clear. I know that the sent boxes are separate. What I meant by combined mailboxes was the inboxes for each of the two accounts across all devices. That is, say, for my MobileMe inbox, being able to see all contents of the MobileMe inbox on all my devices, regardless of which device I first read the message on. And then the same for the other mailbox too. And finally, for these to be marked read / unread on a consistent basis and to be notified on the iOS devices too.
    Not too much to ask?!

  • Multiple devices with multiple itunes accts on one computer.

my son got an itouch from his dad.  My son has his own itunes account. how do I call up his itunes account so that it comes up with I plug his device to my Mac?  (right now my itunes account automatically comes up)

you can't do it automatically. you'd need to manually sign out of your iTunes account and in to his.

  • Would like assistance with multiple devices with multiple iTunes accounts syncing on one PC

I have had an iPhone for some years now and have been syncing with my PC without issue (first with iPhone 3gs and now with iPhone 4s). My wife bought me an iPad 3 retina in December 2012 which syncs with the same PC as my phone and shares the same iTunes account. Apps downloaded onto one device are automatically downloaded to the other, iMessages are sent and received to both devices also.
My Wife now has an iPad mini with retina (using her own existing iTunes account which she previously used for an iPhone she no longer uses). I synchronised her new iPad mini with my PC assuming iTunes would manage the device and related account and contents separately to my existing account and 2 devices. However this has caused an issue with the sharing of apps. Since doing so I have started seeing updates available on my devices for apps which I have never downloaded, but my wife has.  If I tell my iPad to update said apps, I am asked for my Wife's iTunes account password.
On doing some searching via google I now understand that I should have created a second windows profile on my PC for my wife and installed iTunes onto this profile for the purposes of syncing her device.
I would very much like to do this, but would like some assistance on the best course of action for doing so. If I proceed and created a second profile and sync her device to this, I presume I would need to tell iTunes to treat her iPad as a new device (and wonder what would happen to her existing content)? Assuming we do this, I presume the issue of my seeing her app updates would still persist?
Could someone advise if they have any experience with similar issues/queries?
