Assigning specific MainStage patches to controller buttons

Hi I've been Trying for a Week to Press any of my controllers buttons and Go to a specific Patch without having to use the next/prev option,
let's say I have 5 Guitar Patches A,B,C,D,E, and I am in Patch A and I want to Jump from "Patch A" to "Patch E",,,,, How is it Done? Please Help me¡

Finally I Could¡¡¡¡ Fantastic it was all in option "Current Program Number" Now I can jump from anywhere to anywhere I want without having to use Prev Patch or Next Patch¡¡ I'm so happy I though it wasn't possible ¡ jaja

MainStage patches not loading Guitar Rig 4 patches

I'm trying to use Guitar Rig 4 as a channel strip plugin for live EG performance. Unfortunately Mainstage seems unable to properly recall assigned Guitar Rig patches and/or recall screen mapping for those patches. It seems like it only loads the first GR4 patch. If I open up the plugin I see the correct GR4 plugin name but when I double click it seems to then load.
I've mapped screen controls to specific editable functions within Guitar Rig 4's patch. Unfortunately after reboot Mainstage patches do not properly load Guitar Rig patches and screen control mapping breaks.
For instance within a specific Mainstage patch, I have a Guitar Rig 4 patch that has a stereo delay. I screen map to the stereo delay's controllable functions (mix, feedback, etc). I test it out and everything works properly. I save. I restart and then the screen controls lose their mappings.
So what's up? Is it a user error or a limitation between the two softwares?

OK so to map a MS toggle switch to activate an event in a Plug-in like Guitar Rig 4?
- You have Pedalboard as an insert in the channel strip?
- You have Guitar Rig as an insert in the channel strip?
- if so
- selecect the unassigned button in Manstage edit mode
- MS will open the screen control inspector panel below the edit view of your MS edit window
- In the third tab 'unassined' of the inspector you sohould see columns make sure you're looking at the left most col
- You will find the name of the channel strip (guitar-1) or something like that - select it
- The next col will fill with info on the channel strip including the inserts - select Guitar Rig 4- The next col will fill with all the attributes of the Guitar Rig patch you've selected as an insert
- The list will contain all the controllable attrubutes of the componants that mack up the guitar rig patch.
- Select the WAH/ON/OFF or what have you.
- Now the switch in MS will control the ON/OFF state of the WAH efect in that Guitar Rig patch.
The same process works for rotary knobs so you can have MS contol the ON/OFF function and allow you to adjust say the Gain and Tone of your choosen Guitar Rig effect. Obviously you can use for Amps/effects/Cabs/and even Tapdeck etc.
Once you have a channel strip set up and your happy with the layout of MS you can save the channel strip and use it in Logic and vise versa - so I have started a library when my guitar and bass patches are channel strips.
This is because I mix up componants of the various Plig-ins I have say - Pedelboard => Ampdesigner => Guitar Rig 4 => Amplitube 3 => and Redwirez as a single 'patch'. So playing live I use the appropriate 'patch' strip in MS and when recording the I use same 'patch' strip in Logic.

Mainstage is reading my buttons together instead of separate.

I use the M-Audio Oxygen 88 MIDI controller with Mainstage 2. When I try to assign a screen control to a button on my MIDI controller, it reads the buttons together so that every button performs the same action. I don't know if the problem is with the hardware or with the software, or if I am simply not doing something correctly. I have followed all the instructions in the manual. If anyone knows what the problem is or why it is happening, that information would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the controller keyboard is sending out the same MIDI messages for each button?
You need to check what messages are being sent from the controller, and make sure that they are different for each button/fader etc. The easiest way to do this would be using the MIDI activity monitor in Mainstage, but there may be an editor program for the Oxygen that wouldl help (or the 3rd party MIDI Monitor app).

I am a bit unclear about your question:
- do you ask about metadata assigned to folders, or
- do you ask about metadata assigned to items in folders?
Starting from #2, if you forget about folders, there is standard functionality that you can use to restrict, enable, ... metadata for an item. Read this chapter: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/doc.1111/e10978/c04_metadata.htm#sthref288 to get full details.
I am not sure whether you can use anything of this functionality (profiles, option lists, etc.) when you check in a new folder. I doubt it, though. The logic of folders is slightly different - whilst e.g. profiles correspond to "content item", you don't find such a correspondence in folder's hierarchy (why a folder could not contain various content types, for instance?)
Last question is, from where you want to use this functionality - even for items. In 10g, Desktop Integration Suite's functionality was rather limited (often it was supposed that a user will just 'throw' an item to a folder, and metadata will be inherited from folders). You might have to upgrade your DIS to 11g; it should work even with 10g Content Server, but make sure you verify it before mass upgrade. In 11g, DIS should offer profiles, etc. with full capabilities.

right now you are able to determine the pricing relevant partner in order type 4000 dependant on the Account assignment category.
You find this under DB;_>Order_Account_Assignment _> Assign AccounT Assignment for Internal order
If you do this you can say in case of inernal order against a cost center use customer number 1234 and so on.
Than the pricing is ok.
Never the less you still have to type in the Sold to party form the header.
If you want to change this have a look at the screen for Warranty splitt.Here there is a different handling I think the logic is somewhere in the screen.

IT 15: How to find out different cost assignment specifications

Hello,
in the infotype 0015 (Additional Payments) it's possible to to define different cost assignment specifications (for example a different cost center than defined in IT0001). I already found out, that you can select those datasets with a special cost assignment specification by filtering the flag on the field PA0015-REFEX.
What I didn't find out is, where I can select the cost center (or in general: the CO object), that was defined for that dataset? Is there a special table?

The cost assignments are stored in ASSHR / ASSOB and PDSNR tables..
Get PDSNR key from ASSHR table (Infotype 15) .. get details from ASSOB and PDSNR table

Two specific software patches hung in Software Center

I have never seen this before and can't find any google hits on it. I have one client on which two specific Microsoft patches seem hung. This has been going on for two days. Yesterday I manually installed these patches and I can tell my version numbers
that they worked. When I've done this before, the patches would clear out of Software Center because it'd detect they were installed. But on this one client, I just watched this client pull 3rd party updates and Microsoft updates and install them. After the
reboot, it's still trying to pull the two patches I installed manually and stays at "downloading (0% complete). I tried clearing the SCCM cache but that didn't help. Suggestions?

The client might need some time to apply deployment policy.
About downloading (0% complete), you could check CAS.log, ContentTransferManager.log and DataTransferService.log to find more information.

Assign specific ordinals to an enum

Hello,
Is there a way to assign specific numbers/integers to the items in an enum? For example, what if I want to start at 5 insteas of 0?

}So that APPLE = 5, ORANGE = 6, etc.? Can you assign specific numbers to each (not even in sequence)? Can you do negative numbers?

1. Enums are objects not numbers so
APPLE=5 is just not even a possibility. (whether = means assignment or equality).
2. Enums do have an ordinal() method which return the position of the particular enum in the list of enums of that type. This is pretty much just an implementation detail and facilitates EnumSet and EnumMap.
3. Enums may have properties associated with them. What property do these numbers of yours represent? (maybe the number of petals on the flower?)
Do you want to add an integer property to each of your fruit?
4. Your enum should follow normal naming and case conventions and since its a kind of class, "fruit" should properly be "Fruit" unless you are deliberately trying to be confusing, in which case you can't expect any help here. Actually some would say you shouldn't expect any help here anyway because its not a generics question, but I'm prepared to be slightly lenient because you're asking about a new 5.0 language feature.

Assign specifications with custom-built program

Hi,
I want to use a custom-built program to assign specifications and calculate the sample size for an inspection lot. I don't want to do this automatically at inspection lot creation.
Does anyone have a code on how to do this? I don't think it's enough if I change the status of the inspection lot?

Can't assign specific music to specific photo albums in slideshow

I've tried and tried but apparently there is no way to assign specific music to specific photo albums. I had spent some time before getting apple tv arranging my photos into "smart albums" in iphoto and assigning appropriate music to each of them. Unfortunately apple tv does not look at the settings in iphoto to determine how it will display photos. All i can do now is select shuffle music under the slideshow settings in apple tv and whatever music will play is always a mystery.
This is a big problem in my opinion because, for example, who wants to listen to Green Day's "Basket Case" when viewing baby pictures, or Jimmy Buffet's "Margaritaville" when viewing pictures of my kid going sled riding!!

You can sync specific music to a slideshow in two ways, the first is to make a slideshow in iPhoto and attach the music you would like. Remember to sync the slideshow and the music. The second option is to create and sync playlists of music that you would like for your albums and then in the photo settings you can choose the playlist for the music playlist that you would like.

Can I assign specific ring tones to certain contacts?

I would like to be able to assign specific ring tones to certain contacts; how do I do this (assuming it can be done)?

My phone has not arrived yet, but I would think you could solve this by doing these things.
Now lets just assume that you have ringtones A - Z
Set the phone to ring all the time with ring A
Then go into your contacts and set each person you know with ringtone B - Z (but you have to do this for each contact IN your phone) and you can't use A because you only want it to ring with that tone when someone you don't know is calling, right?
Then, when your phone rings with a private caller or from some # that is NOT in your contact list, it will ring A because you have assigned all other contacts either B - Z. The only difference would be that if "Joe" was calling from his office and the line out was different than the # you have in his contact, it would also ring tone A.
Of course, if you could download tones, it would be easier, but for now you can't. So, this is the only thing that would possibly work for now.
Did any of that make sense?

Assign instrument to midi controller buttons

Good evening folks, recently i've got a Launchkey 61 and i'm having trouble programming it with Logic X.
Here are some of my doubts:
1 - I want to operate the keyboard as a common tonebank synth, press a button and it change the patch, how do i do that? How can i assign patches to Launchkey pads and buttons?
2 - How can i create dual and split tones?

Hi - quick question - are you planning to do this for live performance? If the answer is yes, it's much easier to do this in Mainstage rather than Logic. If it's not for live use, I'll let someone with better knowledge of Logic than me answer you.

Motorola Droid X2 - can I assign a specific function to the magnifier button?

I would like to assign the magnifier button (rightmost of the 4 physical buttons) to bring up my universal inbox to eliminate several clicks for a function I use 100 times a day. I do not currently use the magnifier button at all.

A long press of the search button can bring up other options as well, but the app has to specifically enable that API for it to work. In other words, it's not likely that it will work for that app specifically.

Use MIDI device to change MainStage patches?

I'm using MainStage 2. I want to use an external midi device (i.e. Korg NanoPAD) to change patches. Preferably I'd be able to use pad one on the controller to select "Next Patch" and another pad on the controller to select "Previous Patch". How can I do this?
