Assigning users to alert profiles in APO DP

I am using APO DP V5.
I am trying to understand the relationship between users and alert profiles.
There is (a) transaction /SAPAPO/SDPALPR to assign users to alert profiles and there is (b) the assignment of alert monitor settings as 'favourites' in the alert monitor.
How does one use (a) and (b) in a sensible way?

Hi Bob,
In transaction /SAPAPO/SDPALPR you can assign one alert profile per type (SDP used in DP and SNP) per planning area. So basically each user is assigned to one alert profile only. This will be the profile in Interactive Demand Planning where you can switch on the alert profile (comes at the bottom of screen below the keyfigures).
On the other hand you can access Alerts in the stand-alone Alert Monitor. There the user can have favorites which determine the functional area for which sees alerts (like DP SNP or Forecast or PPDS etc.).
So if your end-user is going to use Alert Monitor only through Interactive Demand / Supply Planning go for option A. But if he will use the Alert Monitor (Txn /SAPAPO/ AMON1) then go for option B.

    I have created a alert and written a macro for that.
    When I am trying to assign alert profile to a user, I am getting error as in attached screen shot.
    I am doing simple steps using F4 and all necessary values are available in radio buttons.

    As per your error, i see that it only accepts F4 values.
    There is another alternative, drag and drop in AMON1

  • Error in RFx with user-specified status profile

    Hi experts,
    I am having an issue in SRM 7.0 creating status profile for RFx.
    When I try to create a new RFx, I get an error screen with message "Status profile ZCCP is not allowed for "Bidding Header""
    In order to configure this, I went through the steps described in SAP Library:
    1- Define user-specified status profiles in Customizing for Supplier Relationship Management under SRM Server->Cross-Industry Functions->Application Settings->User-Specified Status->Create Status Profile for User-Specified Status:
    I created status profile ZCCP with the following data:
    10     SUSP     Suspended     10     90     1     1
    90     HABI     Abilities 10     90     1     1
    and I assigned the status profile to object type "Bid Invitation Header (PS_BBP)"
    2- Assign user-specified status profiles to procurement documents in Customizing for Supplier Relationship Management under  SRM Server->Cross-Industry Functions->Application Settings->User-Specified Status->Assign User-Specified Status Profiles to Purchasing Documents
    I created a new entry with:
    BUS2200     H Header     0     ZCCP
    3- Assign user-specified status profiles for each transaction type in Customizing for Supplier Relationship Management under  SRM Server->Cross-Application Basic Settings->Define Transaction Types
    I assigned the status profile ZCCP to all relevant operation types of obj. type BUS2200.
    Does anyone know where this went wrong??

    You can use Status Management for records and documents. In Customizing, define the status values and the permitted sequence of these values. Users can then set these status values as attributes for records or documents.
    The following Customizing steps need to be performed for Status Management:

    To perform this step, choose IMG activity Customizing for Status Management -> Define Status For more information, see the online documentation for the IMG activity.
    Status profile definition
    To perform this step, choose IMG activity Customizing for Status Management -> Define Status Profile. For more information, see the online documentation for the IMG activity.
    Status network definition
    To perform this step, choose IMG activity Customizing for Status Management -> Define Status Network. For more information, see the online documentation for the IMG activity.
    ·         Assignment of a status profile to an element type
    For element types whose elements you want to use Status Management for, assign an existing status profile to connection parameter STATE_PROFILE_ID. (The connection parameter is only offered for records and documents.)
    Subsequently, users will be offered the attribute Status in the attribute maintenance dialog box whenever they edit the elements in question. Input help contains the status values that you have created.
    If you want to use Status Management for the API, you require the following authorization objects: S_SRM_STAT, S_SRM_ST_P and S_SRM_ST_N.

  • Alert Profiles

    Hi All,
    I have a Issue with Alert profile the description of the same is under.
    We have configured an alert profile to generate Alerts for 7 Months(future periods) and I have assigned the same to my Userid so that I can see the alerts in the Interactive Demand Planning screen.
    When I call the Alerts screen from the Interactive demand Planning screen, I am able to see the alerts for all the seven months, however when I am checking the alerts from Alert monitor (/SAPAPO/AMON1), I am able to see alerts for only one month i.e the current month.
    Can anybody suggest as to where I am going wrong?

    Hi Raghu,
    Check whether you have assigned any selection IDs in your Alert Profile. You generally do this along with the planning book / data view assignment in your alert profiles. If you have assigned a specific selection ID to your alert profile, only alerts generated for those selection data is displayed in your alert profile. In interactive planning, you can however see alerts generated for other data as well. It is probably this difference that you are seeing in your case.

    In /SAPAPO/AMON1 - Alert Monitor  click on Favourite Management.
    Select the user from Favorites for User and than assign alert profile according to user role.
    Hope you have activated alert in IMG : Alert Monitor->Activate/Deactivate Applications in Alert Monitor.
    Alerts are shown in interactive planning (/SAPAPO/SDP94) but not in alert monitor standalone (/SAPAPO/AMON1): In interactive planning, whatever what selection profile you use to load the data in the planning book, the alerts are found since the system considers just the data as loaded in the planning book. However, in alert monitor standalone, the selection id defined in the alert profile plays a big role. The alerts will be shown depending on the objects defined in the selection id and the aggregation level defined in the job when generating the DB alerts. For instance, in case of resource, it is strictly necessary to use a selection id that has resources only. If the selection id contains also locations for instance, the system tries to find alerts linked to the location resource for which for which there are none because the alerts are on the resource level only.
    Alerts are generated but cannot be displayed in ALV grid: Check if there is a filter criterium in the layout which doesn't match with the existing alerts.
    By scheduling the program /SAPAPO/READ_ALERTS_BATCH , you can determine and save dynamic & existing DB  alert situations.
    Configuring Overall Profiles for Alert Determination in the Background  to use above program to generate alert.

  • Assign User Profiles and Web Interface Transactions to Users

    Hi EM Gurus,
    Has anyone worked with not standard scenarios in SCEM?
    They are working well but I can't access them on interface web.
    In selection page (search page after logon), where choose tracking scenarios, only standard scenarios appear although I have assigned both scenarios to the user and made same configuration; Assigned and Defined Web Interface Transactions, Configured Fields for User Profiles, Defined User Profiles, Assigned User Profiles and Web Interface Transactions to Users.
    But only Standard Scenarios appear as choice of tracking scenarios that are displayed to the user as a dropdown box on the selection screen after logging on to the Web interface.
    Has anyone accessed not standard scenarios on interface web??

    Hello Rodrigo,
    if you have assigned the scenarios to your user in transaction /SAPTRX/UCUSER you must go to the admin page and reload the profile manager.
    /admin in the URL of the WCL instead /ehsearch.
    Afterwards you should see them also in the drop-down box.

    Hi Krishna,
    First assign IC_MANAGER business role to ur user id. For that u have to assign this role at organization level. Go to PPOMA_CRM> Assign Position and ur userid to this organization> now choose goto -->there u will find Business Role assignment.
    Or u can take help from ur functional consultant.
    Now when u will login to Web UI u will find IC_MANAGER business rols choose that one , then in navigation bar  u will find a link alert. From there u can generate Alert. There are some sample alert already exist u can take help from them.
    If u don't find alert link in navigation bar then u have to activate this link from Business Role.

  • How many alert profiles needed?

    I a user that uses two planning books, PB1 and PB2 with corresponding data views D1 and D2 respectively. I have alerts in both the books.
    Now how many overall profiles do I need and how many individual alert profiles do I need?
    I am thinking 1 over all profile and 2 alert profiles but the assignment in SDP94 per user seems to be unique. Is one alert profile and 1 overall profile enough?

    Hi,
    I assume both planning books are assigned to the same planning area. The idea of having different planning books is when you have different users accessing data from the same planning area. If it is just one user, then it is recommended you maintain a single planning book for that user & define 2 data views within that planning book rather than have the user access data from 2 different planning books.
    Assignment of SDP profile to planning book is unique. i.e You can assign only one planning book to a SDP profile. Also, you cannot maintain 2 entries for a given user/planning area while assigning alert profiles to user.
    My suggestion is maintain a single planning book per user, create 2 data views, maintain a single alert SDP profile, assign the planning book & data views to it.

  • Alert profile specific to a plannign book?

    Hi,
            When I go to alert monitor, in alert profile, I have to specify a planning book and select the alert types. I then have to go to interactive planning and assign a alert profile.
    If I go to another book, and check the profile assigned, it is still the same old one. But this alert profile was assigned my first book not this one where I am at. Do we still get alerts?  I am also specifying the book and view at the alert in macro. Does it work based on that?
    Shouldn't we be able to define different alerts for different planning books?
    I guess I am missing a link here or misunderstanding something.

    Alert Profiles are specific to Users and Planning Areas, so the same user will get the same alert profile for different books if they belong to the same planning area.
    What you can do, however, is only display the alerts that were generated by that Planning Book/Data View by using the "Display/Refresh Alerts" Button in the data view and ensure it is set to "Alerts for current planning book" which should be the default setting. Then only the alerts assigned to that book should be shown.

    SPRO--> Logistics Execution -->mobile data entry --> RF Queue Management --> Assign Processor to Queues.
    If an line item already exists, copy that and change the username, if its blank (which will be in a fresh client) input all the parameters.
    If everything is configured properly for ur user id, when you type LM00 it should show you the screen on the RF gun, or else you will get the same error.

    Hi Kamlesh,
    To create your Alert profile you need to use DEFAULT meta model. Here you need to use some JavaScript code too. The following are some more steps (example),
    1. Go to transaction code: CRMC_CIC_AM_PROFILE then enter your New Profile name (e.g.: ZAPROFILE) and choose F5 (Create new profile).
    2. Fill the description in properties tab.
    3. Select Global Data tab and add var global_str = "Hi, "
    4. Select Functions tab and add function
    crm400_09(str)
    return sap_scripting_message(global_str + str);
    5. In the tree double click on SEARCH_TARGET_FOUND and add cr400_09(bp1.bp1_mcname1); in the rule tab
    6. Check the syntax error in all the above steps (you have an icon for this)
    7. Save
    8. Add AM component to your framework id
    9. Assign AM profile to your IC WinClient Profile
    10. Test.
