Assignment of printers

Hi all
Here I am with one more. We are in SRM4.0
As of now we are able to assign printer at Pur grp level or Pur Org. level. But if we assign the printer in the attribute of buyer directly, the output device is not defaulted in Process purchase orders.
In other words we are not able to see print preview of the purchase orders if we assign printer directly at the attribute of the buyer.
However, we can see the preview of PO if the printer is assigned at Porg level.
Regards
Ashish

Hi,
That is the standard behavior for PO. Printer attribute is taken from P.Group.
You can modify the source code to get from user level.

Masa

  • Two printers need to be maintained for one key combination

    Hi Experts,
Requirement:-For one condition record two print out has to be determined on different printers.
As per my understanding we can maintain only one printer for any key combination here as per the requirement if some one has any idea if we can maintain two printers for the same key combination.

    Hi,
You cannot  assign two printers to one single combination of Condition record.
    This functionality is not possible.

  • How to assign printer to form

    Hi all,
i have an program in which i am using two (sap-script) forms.program will select form according to condition given.
<u>now i want to assign different printers for each form</u>.
if first form is selected, it should select perticular printer for printing and if another form is selected,it should use another printer for printing.
can you please tell me how to do this?
is there any setting in form or function module 'open_form' where we can assign printer?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Dinesh..

    Hi Dinesh,
In the OPEN_FORM function, you will find a parameter 'DEVICE'
Pass your printer name to this.. it will automatically take this printer for spool.
Further. there is one more parameter OPTIONS.. this is a structure of type ITCPO.. you will find various print parameters in this structure.. pass the values according to your requirements..
    Thanks and Best Regards,

  • Two printers need to be setup for same output type

    Dear Experts
How do we create condition records for two different printers in VV61 with same output type and packing material type?
Thanks in advance for your answers.

The configuration helps to redetermine the printer.
    F1 help for the field:
    "Description of print profile
By specifying a print profile, the printers for output processing are redetermined. You can, for example, assign the printers of a specific packing station to a print profile.
Using the parameter "PPT", you can individually define the print profile in the user parameters."
Please note that you also have to maintain the profile for each user.
    2)
You have to make yourself familiar with SAP's condition technique.
    http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/ERPLO/output+determination+using+condition+technique
(You will need a condition table in which one key field is the plant and assign it to the output type through an access sequence)

  • Assigning Output  Device in SU01 not working

    All,
I am trying to assign specific Printers to specific Ids as their default output Device in SU01.
But when I give the Printer name in the Output Device field. It says Entry doesnot exist. This is happening if I try to assign any Printer( which actually exists in the System) in SU01.
In short its not accepting any Printer in SU01.
    Please help!

    Hello Bidwan,
Yes this should happen. It is really hard to explain how you have printers in SPAD and not in the table. Please do a transport.  However I will suggest this approach.
First transport only couple of printers and see if the entry comes into TSP03. If it is successful then do it for remaining printers. This will save effort for you in case initial transport is not successful. In that scene you will have to check again.
By the way how were the printers created ?
    Please award points accordingly.
    Regards.

  • Assigning Default Printer to User

    Greetings;
My apologies for the double posting, my previous posting was labeled "adding printers", a matter I eventually solved.
I am trying to determine how I can recreate what in NIS was printers.conf / printers.conf.byname.
The former NIS map was a map which contained one pair per line, "username printerA", for instance:
    smith hp001
    jones hp002
    taylor hp001
I had a simple script, that upon login, read this printer from the NIS map, and assigned it as that users default printer.
I am at a loss as to how to assign default printers to users, or how to import (ldapaddent fails) this map, or perhaps just create a new database that can be inserted into my DIT?
Is their someplace within DSCC that can do this?
    Thank you.

    Hello Tison,
we're using also the WF-BATCH user having no default printer assigned and it works fine with the final release.
However, there's usually the output message NEU with a prerequesite maintained that the PO has to be finally released. So this way there can be an additional output message found upon releasing. But we have a printer assigned using the condition records and we're not using the type that you've specified.
So I'd guess that, indeed, the problem lies within the message. You could copy the WF-BATCH user to a dialog user and release the purchase order in dialog and see what happends.
    With the very best wishes,
       Florin

  • Unable To Load NIS Map (printers and printers.conf)

    Hello;
I am trying to migrate my NIS maps for "printers" and "printers.conf" into my newly built DSEE 11.1.1.7 (Solaris/Sparc) server, and I am getting this error (same for each):

From my DCC, I am able to see an OU named printers, but it is empty, and not showing up in the output above.
    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Update:
I've found that you must use the lpset command to populate/install UNIX printers.
As an example, an entry in my printers.conf looked like this:
    hplj1001:\
            :bsdaddr=printserver1.example.com,hp30ps:\
            :description=Semi-Retired HPLJ:
I added it using the following command:
    lpset -n ldap -h ldapserver -D "cn=Directory Manager" -a hplj001:bsdaddr=printserver1,hp30ps hplj001
I hope this is right, I have no way of testing at the moment, am I doing this right, is there a faster, more foolproof way to do this?
Lastly, how do I assign "default" printers for users?
    TIA!

  • Officejet Pro L7580 appears as a network drive in Win7

I have a new Dell desktop with 64-bit Win7.  I have installed the printer with HP's latest 64-bit full software program downloaded from HP's website.  My L7580 all-in-one loads on my network as a disk drive.  When I click on the link it reports: "LOCATION NOT AVAILABLE.  Z:\ is not accessible.  An unexpected network error occured."  When I right-click on the link and select "Properties" it displays the properties of a typical disk drive and not the properties of a printer.  When I right-click the link and select "Disconnect" it disconnects this "Z drive".  The L7580 functions perfectly whether or not I leave this "Z drive link" in my network listing and whether or not I choose to disconnect the "Z drive".  At this point it is just an annoying anomaly.  However, I have a networked Lexmark black and white laser printer on this same network and the Lexmark does not exhibit this behavior.  I have a small home network (cable modem, Netgear 4-port router with two computers and these two printers plugged into the 4-port router.  The router assigns both printers their IP addresses and I can connect to each printer's internal web page with its respective information and settings just by typing their respective IP addresses into my browser (192.168.1.x).
Just curious if any of the technical forum members have any thoughts on this anomaly.  I can live with it but just don't want to if I don't have to.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

I don't think this is an "anomaly". IIRC, the printer has memory card ports. So when you install the printer software, the network drives are created as a reference to the memory card slots. They will appear even if you don't have any cards inserted. Even if you remove them now, they'll reappear after you restart the PC. All I can suggest to you is to ignore it.

  • Powershell Edit GPO deploy Printer

    Hi Guys,
I tried to make Powershell script with GUI to add printers to print server. I would like that my super user just write new printer name and IP adresse in textbox and script suppose to add printer to printer server, create new ADGroupe to each
printer (name of groupe = printer name), create GPO to each AD Groupe (GPO name = <Printer name>64bit)with premissions level assign to the AD group.

  • Automatic printing of purchase order in a particular printer

    Hi
Do anyone know, the setting for automatic printing of purchase order by a particular purchasing group in a particular printer. The requirement is that The group has to print only Pur Oder in this printer.
    I don't want to use SPRO>Material Management>Purchasing>Message>assign output device......
    Thanks in advance.
    Esh

First of all check your output type with MN06 if the Key combination avilable for outpur type then select that combination and creatae the condition records for your PO type with MN04 and assign the printers here by selecting that line adn clicking on the communication tab.
Or if you don't have the key combination with Purchase group then  go to IMG-MM-Purchasing-message-output control - condition table - here use the existing table for purchase gorup or create new one with the combination oyu are looking
then create access sequence and assing to your message type then it will be available for MN04.

  • Change "Output Device" from a bunch of job

    Hi,
I've deleted a bunch of printers in SPAD and now, there are some errors in the dev_* logs :
    *** ERROR => rspocd: rsporpab failed (0), dest @>DEV:PR645@< [rspopcc.c    2551]
    *** ERROR => rspocd: rsporpab failed (0), dest @>DEV:PR645@< [rspopcc.c    2551]
PR645 was one of the old printer I've removed. After investigation, most of job use PR645 as default "Output Device". I would like to know if there are a way to update all jobs using PR654 to PR212?
    Thanks by advance,

    Hi ,
Can you please check these tables.
    TSP03A - Device Description
    TSP03C - Device Description Extension
TSP03D - Device Description (New Format)
    TSP0A - Device Types
TSP01 - Assignment of printers to terminals
The above tables will help you.

  • Why would Photoshop CS5 crash when I try to print (Mac OSX 10.8.2)?

I trashed the prefs. No help. Photoshop is usually bulletproof, but this is something new. W
hat is going on? Next I will re-assign the printers. Any help would be appreciated.

I seem to have fixed it. I read some of the other "crash on print" posts and their replies, and evidence seemed to point to the printer drivers. So after some other, more drastic alterations, such as re-instaling the app-which didn't make any difference- I downloaded a batch of Brother printer drivers from an Apple (Who knew?) support site:     http://support.apple.com/kb/DL894    entitled "Brother printer drivers 2.9 for Mac" and installed the lot of them. It added up to over 150 MB of drivers, but it was also coming from Apple rather than from Brother, and that appears to have made the difference. I'm not claiming that this is the Big Fix, but so far I can print from Photoshop now, whereas I couldn't print from PS at all before I installed these drivers. BTW, this install has also enabled me to get Printer Sharing working properly, which was impossible with the Brother driver downloads. It works now; it didn't work before I installed the Apple-blessed drivers. Apple and Adobe may not always be the best of friends, but in this instance at least, Apple made it possible for me to continue using Adobe Photoshop CS5. Go figure.
Thanks, Chris, for offering to help. It turns out to have been simpler than I expected.

  • Delete the old CUA and build a new CUA on the Solution Manager

    Hello together,
I'm about to delete the old CUA and build a new CUA on the Solution Manager.
The users are in multiple systems almost the same.
    This raises the following questions:
If I export the printers from the old CUA in a file and import into the new CUA (Solution Manager, then the printer can be administered directly in Solman?
Furthermore, if I depended on the second or third child System  and attached to the new CUA, the user description data are not overwritten, as bsp: with the description data of the last-connected system?
By delete the CUA child system in which users are blocked. Can you handle it?
    I thank you in advance
    Mirsad

    > If I export the printers from the old CUA in a file and import into the new CUA (Solution Manager, then the printer can be administered directly in Solman?
-->the assignment of printers, not the printers themselves of course....
    > Furthermore, if I depended on the second or third child System  and attached to the new CUA, the user description data are not overwritten, as bsp: with the description data of the last-connected system?
If you mean adress data, already existing adresses are not overwritten. Such users will show up in scug as 'identical' or different' and can be handled accordingly.
    > By delete the CUA child system in which users are blocked. Can you handle it?
Users without assignement to the central system get a global lock if the cua is removed in the central system. They still exist in usr02 in the central system, but with the global lock flag as indication, that they existed only for adminstrative means. The local lock flags in the child systems stay untouched. So if you take over these users into the new CUA they get the correct lock flag form the child system.

  • Canon Printing in 10.7

    Hi,
We have a Canon iR C2550 which intermittenly works for Lion users.
I have downloaded all the latest drivers: Canon PPDv3.20 and UFRII v2.30
It works fine on my system however not for others. For example, one user has all the latest drivers and once we select the driver from the drop down menu it comes up with the following error:
    Could not get printer information.
Check that the printer is functioning correctly, then try again to get the printer information.
When we do try to print the job pauses itself everytime.
All users are on the same vlan. I can print remotely and when in the office.
    Any ideas?

Konica says its drivers for that printer are supported in Lion, with no changes for ML:
    http://www.konicaminolta.eu/en/business-solutions/support/new-os-compatibility/m ac-os-x-mountain-lion.html
If you added the printer anew, Lion should have downloaded and installed the appropriate driver so I will assume that is not the problem. I also suggest assigning network printers a static IP address but it appears you already tried that.
One more suggestion that may not help, but try it: Delete the printer from Print & Scan again. Click the "+" button, and when the "Add" dialog box appears, control-click the grey area of the window near (but not on) one of the icons. Select "Customize Toolbar" from the contextual menu that appears. Drag the icon "Advanced" into the toolbar area and press Done.
Click the Advanced icon and see if you can find any additional options that may make sense to you. Add the printer again.
Other than that all I can suggest is that you peruse Konica's site for addtional insight.
Lion is supposed to make all this mindlessly simple, but when it doesn't just work the solutions become elusive.

  • WM - Print Label

    Hi everyone,
I have a problem when I want to print a Label after the creation of a TO.
In the OMLV transaction, I put my Label printer in "Printer Pool / Labels".
Then in print code, I put my label form for the print code I'm using in the movement supposed to print labels.
Then in "Warehouse Mouvement", I put my label form too.
My form is a copy of the original LVSLABEL.
The thing is : When I save my TO, the spool does not generate my Label document for the Label Printer, but for the normal printer....
Does anyone has an idea about what the problem could be ?
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Remi

    Hello Remi,
    - Check in OMLV whether printing program RLVSDR40 is assigned to your warehouse number
    - check you have Assigned the printing form to particular storage type in WM printer assignment (OMLV) also check there is NO check mark for "No print"
    - If you want to print SU label then you need to do some more settings in SU printing controls
    Check the following points again.
    1. Create the spool indicators for each warehouse number.
    2. Create the dependent printers for label printing.
    3. Define the sort profile for multiple processing.
    4. Create the print codes for each warehouse number.
    5. Assign the printers to the individual movements.
    6. Assign the printers to the picking areas.
    7. Assign the printers to the storage types.
    8. Assign the print codes to the movement types.
    9. Assign the print reports to the warehouse numbers.
    10. Assign the print control to the multiple processing runs.
    11. Using the analysis program, check whether the settings comply with your needs.
