Assignment of shift sequence in work centre

I have already created the grouping key & shift sequences in OP4A. There are 7 groupings when I see in OP4A. But when I try to assign them in CR02 capacity header screen , I see only 3 grouping keys. I dont see the one I have created too. What could be the reason?

Please check you have any letters in grouping code?
use only nunmbers - it will appears
instead of AA, AB, AC create with 11,12,13
Please close the thread if answer is okay, otherwise revert back

Shift sequence query in PP work center

Dear All,
I am having one problem while maintaining shift sequence in work center. I have maintain all config settings in OP4A shift 1 shift 2 shift 3 but when I create work center and select shift sequence, it is only taking shift 1 and not all 3 shift for all 7 days.
Can anyone tell me the solution?

Thanks for the valuable inputs.
I have created following sequence in OP4A.
1, Create a Group eg. CB
2.Create a shift definitions like SHIFT1,SHIFT2,SHIFT2, START/END DATE, START/FINISH TIME OF SHIFTS, NO BREAKS ARE THERE and assign it to group.
3. Define individual shifts SEQUENCE DAYWISE wrt to groupo.
4..Assign grouping in capacity header of work center.
5.Now go to add interval option and create a new version of capcity which contains desired shift sequence from the shift group assigned.
7. assign proper valid froma and valid to dates.
8. In capacity header screena ssign the newly created capcity vesrion as active vesrion.
BUT STILL i WILL ABLE TO MAINTAIN ONLY FIRST SHIFT SEQUENCE FOR ALL 7 DAYS.
SYSTEM IS NOT SHOWING 2ND AND 3RD SHIFT.
PLEASE HELP ME OUT.

In organizational structure how to assign work centre.
it is necessary to assign cost centre to org structure.how ?
President has to be given personnel no.?
if employee is reporting to two superiors of different depts or different regions ,how the employee should be placed i.e dual reporting?

Hi Archana,
1. To assign Work Center the T-code is PO01.
2. Yes. In SAP HR every employee has to be given Personnel Number irrespective of their designations.
3. No its not possible according to me (Gurus Pls correct me too if I am wrong)

HR posistion updated when person assigned to a work centre.

in SAP Plant Maintenance (PM), we are assigning persons to work centers.
Some times a strange thing happen when we assign a person to a work center.
The position for the person is updated with a wrong value in HR master data.
We are not given any position in PM, and definitely do not want to update HR master data from PM.
Anyone experienced something like this?

I have now tried to do the same in our test system. And for the particular user I get an error message when doing this.
The screen for "Copy Organizational Assigment" pop up.
And SAP try to fill in the Work centre ID as Position.
ut with error message:
Entry in outbound table not found
Message no. E0400
Diagnosis
No partner profile (outbound parameter) could be found using the following key:
PXCCLNT100/LS//HRMD_A///
This refers to the key fields in table EDP13:
RCVPRN Partner number
RCVPRT Partner type
RCVPFC Partner function
MESTYP Logical message
MESTYP Message code
MESCOD Message function
TEST Test indicator
Procedure
Please check the EDI partner profiles.
We do not understand this. And it only happend with this user, and with all work centres we try to add him to.

Assignment of single capacities to a work centre

Dear experts,
I have following problem:
We created capacities which we want to use for capacity planning using CR11.
In the work centre maintenance I want to assign these capacities using CR02. - Capacity header view --> ' go to individual capacities' . Here I want to fill the table 'capacity assignments - individual capacities' . When I put in the capacity code I get the error message CR100 'the capacity exists already'.
I can only create new capacities (using new capacity codes). that doesn't help since we need to assign pool capacities which means these new capacites can not be assigned to the other work centres later on. For my problem it does not matter whether the capacity to be assigned is a pool capacity or not.
What I want to do is exaclty what I found described in SAP documentations, unfortunately without detailed instruktions .
What do I need to do to be able to assign these individual capacities?

Dear,
In Work center i.e CR02 capacity header, click Goto -> Individual Capacites . This will take you to the "Assignment tot the Individual Capacity" screen. Here you give names of the individual capacities and Click "Choose (F2)" , where you can maintain the header details for this individual capacity.
For example:
when You give individual capacites as '2' ,youI have to go to GOTO field and select there Individual capacities. It asks for capacity and its short text.In capacity field you can give person1, person 2 etc and its short text as Ramesh, Kishan (name of operators).

What will happen if a maitain both standard available capacity and grouping key ( shift definition and shift sequence) in the capacity header of a work center?

Im little confused with the capacity header in work center. In the capacity header there is one place to give start time, end time, length of break and number of individual capacity. And in grouping key i can define the shift and shift sequence. So if im maintaining both of these ( standard avilable capacity and grouping key), which will be considered to calaculate avilable capacity?

If you are running three shifts ,please maintain the data as given belwo
start :00:00:00
End:23:59:59
Break :03:00:00 ( 1 Hour per shift so 3 hrs for 3 shifts)
No.of individual capacity :1
System will understand that it is round the clock operation with total three hour brak and you will get 21 hour per capacity

How to create shift work centre

Good Morning Guys
Am trying to implement shift sequence in my company.There are three shifts currently running and between the shifts are divided into two, managers and the subordinate staff.Managers go on a 3day shift with 4 shifts one being on standby while the suborditates go on a 7 days shift rolling both of which work on the same work center.Am having challenges to do the configuration as i have no prior source of reference on how to implement such a scenario

Your requirment is not very clear, according to my best understanding of your above explanation it is
3 shifts per day for 7 days cycle
7 days all subordinates (which means 3 days managers +subordinates and 4 days only subordinates)
while only managers available for 3 days (Managers and Subordinates capacity available)
This is how I managed to create the interval and shift in the same work center, check if this is what you are looking for

Shift patterns for work centers

Hi,
I have question regarding shift patterns for work centers. We are actually utilizing the work centres in a aftermarket setup (service jobs). What we would like to do is to add shift patters to the work centers which look similar to this:
Mo-Su 07:00-19:00, Mo-Su 19:00-07:00 4days on/4 days off/4 days on/4days off. As you see we would like it to be a rolling schedule so the first 4 working days the day shift, then 4 days off, then the next working days the night shift and so on.
Is there a way of simplyfying this setup? The length of the cycle can only be set to a maximum of 7 days meaning I can not create a rolling schedule in a simple way. I do know that I can manually add intervals with say a seven day cycle and defining the working hours and additional create shift for holding predefined working hours and breaks.
I have looked at shift sequences but that doesn't seem to be helpful in this scenario? The sequence seems only to be used as a sequence on a daily basis.
If anyone has solution for this or if you have any thought on how to process I would be very thankful if you shared these.

In T.code : SHR0 (zero) Shift Report overview.
Enter Report Type and Usage as workcentre, please do the this customazation then you find workcentres in F4.

But whr does the same will appear or what is the use of the same .

Normally the available capacity of that particular work center is calculated from the data we are giving in the capacity header/Available Hrs from - To and the break time, the number of work center and efficiency
If we give shift definition and shift sequence. We have to assign that in shift group in the capacity tab.
The available capacity will be calculated from your shift definition and brake time which is given in your shift group.
if your shift start time is 06.00 end time 14.00 break time is .5 hrs. Then Available capacity per day is 7.5 Hrs.
If your are giving shift sequence also 14.00 to 22.00 - 22.00- 06.00. Then the available capacity 7.5 X 3 = 22.5 Hrs per day.

Shiftwise confirmation is now part of SAP standard! The new functionality is now part of ECC6.00 Enhancement Package 3, see help.sap.com for further information and assistence,

Shift sequence in available capacity

hi, all SAP experts,
my question is as follows
I created grouping in which shift sequences are defined and i assign this group to work center in capacity header. So work center should have to select shift sequence in capacity tab but i enter manually start time and finish time in capacity header.So why systm can't show interval of available capacity daywise automatically through grouping or is there any setting for this?

Dear,
In work center change transaction capacity view
assign this grouping no XX.
Enter active version = 1
Then Click on interval and shift push button (left top)
follow the menu path Edit>insert>insert interval
enter
valid from and valid from field
enter shift sequence and remove the data if there in any other filed and click on ENTER. all the days in week are defaulted with the shift seq you defined.
It will work for you.

Work centres operator linkage

Hi,
My client wants in CO11n screen, where we select employee ID by pressing F4, client should get get only those operators ID to be listed who are assigned to this work centre.
Is it possible? But to get this I should assign in my work centre the names of three operators who will work on 3 different shifts or else who all are possibly be working in this work centre( my work centres are not asigned to any shift, they are available 24 hrs in a day) but where and how to assign?

We have the same kind of requirement in our case.We developed ZCO11N where operator id /supervisor id ,list of work centre (Asset number ) are added with SAP Tables.U need to discuss with SAP ABAP Developer
More oever , in ECC 6.0 version , for CO11N u have option at Personal Data Tab at the bottom of the screen where u can include the Person Name/Work Centre /Posting Dates/Plant available .
I hope this itselg will solve your problem.Let me know if you want ZCO11n functionality .

2)Then Click on Work break schedules:- New entry-

0003 0 BK3 03:00:00 03:15:00        0,25
3)Define Shift definitions like as,

B 2nd Shift 01.01.0001 31.12.9999 15:00:00 23:00:00 7,50 0002
C 3rd Shift 01.01.0001 31.12.9999 23:00:00 07:00:00 7,75 0003.
4) Define Shift sequences
SH1 1   Frist Shift       A A A A A A A
SH2 2   Second shift   B B B B B B B
SH3 3   Third Shift       C C C C C C C
Then Assign it to your work center.

Work centre capacity utilization

Dear guru ,
i have a work centre that always work in the same moment for 3 different production order.
If my total daily available capacity is 11 hours for my 1 individual capacity is right that I assign to the work centre a capacity utilization of 300 percent in order to have a daily available capacity of 33 hours and I can use capacity levelling in the best way ?
Or there is other better solution for solving this problem ?
