Assignments "Out of Date" when created originally.

Indesign shows out of date content when assignments are created originally for InCopy. Editors are able to make changes, but InDesign crashes when trying to update.

We just upgraded to CS6, Version 8.0.1 / Windows 7 Professional.
Currently running CS5.5 on the same platform without any issues.

To Blank out system default requested delivery date when create Sales Order

Hi Experts,
I am facing a problem when create Sales Order doc copy with reference to a contract.
The create with reference screen under the Contract tab, SAP default with current date as the Requested delivery date.
Is there any way to blank out this default as I need to use the requested delivery data in the contract doc ?

Try this--
While defining the Contract sales docment type in VOV8, uncheck the proposed delivery date field in the tab Requested delivery date/ reqested pricing date/reqested prchase order date
I will not propose the system date and leaves the field blank
you can enter the required delivery date.

I was advised to run PVM on VirtualBox. When running HVM, it complained about the CPU not supporting for Hardware Virtualization even though I'm sure that the CPU and MB support Hardware Virtualization.
Any thoughts or comments?

Copy data when creating GR return via delivery

Dear all:
Is there any ways that I can copy header text (MKPF-BKTXT) to header data of delivery note? (LIKP-LIFEX)
This happens when I create return delivery in MIGO and tick "via delivery" in header.
System will automatically create a delivery note when I save this transaction.
I want to copy some information to delivery note. Other header field except LIKP-LIFEX is OK, too.

Can't set date when creating a reminder on a Mac

When I try to set up a new reminder on my Mac, I type the description, then click the info icon to set the reminder date. I tick the 'remind me on a date' box, but I am unable to pick a date. The date picking calendar appears for a splt second, but it vanishes before I have a chance to select a date. The new item then appears under the current date and I have to go back in to set the reminder date. What's wrong? I have no such problem with the iOS version, where I can set the date while creating the new reminder, as you would expect.

Probably a long shot.
Do a backup.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/
com.apple.reminders.plist. Move the .plist to your Desktop.
Restart the computer, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

its just a portal service which would be called when searching a document created on a particular date or betwwen a range of date.so what i require is which BW variable to be used when handling range.As for variable technical name we use VAR_NAME_I and for single value variable we VAR_VALUE_EXT_I
in the similar manner i want BW variable to be used for range of values.

I can't join mobile internet and am being told I am out of data when I'm not?

I was hoping someone could help me. About a week ago I stopped being able to use roaming internet, sometimes the pages attempt to load for a long time before telling me there are connection problems and other times I am told that I am out of data and need to top up. I don't get why it would be either of these things as I've used the internet before in those locations and a signal is being picked up, and I just brought a new packet three days ago with 2gb of data which I've not been able to use because I can't access mobile internet and haven't come close to using the 2gb of data in any previous months. Any advice would be great, thank you.

How can I avoid running out of memory when creating components dynamically

Hello everyone,
Recently, I am planning to design a web application. It will be used by all middle school teachers in a region to make examination papers and it must contain the following main functions.
1)Generate test questions dynamically. For instance, a teacher who logs on the web application will only see a select one menu and a Next Quiz button. The former is used for determining the number of options for the current multiple/single choice question. The later is dedicated to creating appropriate input text elements according to the selected option number. That is to say, if the teacher selects 4 in the menu and presses the Next Quiz button, 5 input text form elements will appear. The first one is for the question to be asked such as "1.What is the biggest planet in the solar system?", the others are optional answers like a)Uranus. b) Saturn. c)Jupiter. d)Earch. Each answer stands for an input text elements. When the teacher fills in the fourth answer, another select one menu and Next Quiz button will emerge on the fly just under this answer, allowing the teacher to make the second question. The same thing repeats for the following questions.
2)Undo and Redo. Whenever a teacher wants to roll back or redo what he has done, just press the Undo or[i] Redo button. In the previous example, if the teacher selects the third answer and presses the Delete button to drop this answer, it will delete both the literal string content[i] and the input text element, changing the answer d to c automatically. After that, he decides to get back the original answer c, Jupiter, he can just click the Undo button as if he hadn�ft made the deleting operation.
3)Save the unfinished working in the client side. If a teacher has done half of his work, he can choose to press the Save button to store what he has done in his computer. The reason for doing so is simply to alleviate the burden of the server. Although all finished test papers must be saved in a database on the server, sometimes the unfinished papers could be dropped forever or could form the ultimate testing papers after several months. So if these papers keep in the server, it will waste the server computer�fs room. Next time the teacher can press the Restore button on the page to get the previously stored part of the test paper from his own computer and continue to finish the whole paper.
4)Allow at least 1,000 teachers to make test papers at the same time. The maximum question number per examination paper is 60.
Here are my two rough solutions,
A.Using JSF.
B.Using JavaScript and plain JSP[b] without JSF.
The comparison of the two solutions:
1)Both schemas can implement the first and the second requirements. In JSF page I could add a standard panelGird tag and use its binding attribute. In the backing bean, the method specified by the binding attribute is responsible for generating HtmlInput objects and adding them to the HtmlPanelGird object on the fly. Every HtmlInput object is corresponding to a question subject or an optional answer. The method is called by an actionListener, which is registered in the Next Quiz commandButton, triggering by the clicking on this button in the client side. Using JSF can also be prone to managing the HtmlInput objects, e.g. panelGird.getChildren().add(HtmlInput) and panelGird.getChildren().remove(HtmlInput) respond to the undoing operation of deleting an optional answer and the redoing operation of the deleting action respectively. The server must run out of memory undoubtedly. To make things better, we can use a custom component which can be rendered as a whole question including its all optional answers. That is to say, a new custom component on the server side stands for a whole question on the client side. Even so, about 60,000(1,000X60) this type of custom components will be created progressively and dynamically, plus other UISelectOne and UICommand objects, it also can�ft afford for most servers. Do I have to use JavaScript to avoid occupying the server's memory in this way? If so, I have to go back and use JavaScript and plain JSP without JSF.

Yes, you are right. If I manually code the same amount of those components in the JSF pages instead of generating them dynamically, the server will still run out of memory. That is to say, JSF pages might not accommodate a great deal of concurrent visiting. If I upgrade the server to just allow 1,000 teachers making their own test papers at the same time, but when over 2,000 students take the same questionnaire simultaneously, the server will need another upgrading. So I have to do what you have told me, using JS+DOM instead of upgrading the server endlessly.

View is not retuning data when creating XML message through workflow

Hi All,
This is a very critical problem for me. I am trying to send an XML message (outbound) through XML gateway. This is done from a custom workflow. The message creation is done from the standard procedure ecx_document.sendDirect. The data for the XML file is taken from two views (whcih are created in a custom schema and have synonym in apps). One view for header and another one for line information (I am creating an XML for a purchase order).
The problem is when the workflow try the first time to create a message, the views are not returning data. So message creation fails. Now, if we restart the workflow after some time, it will work and the message is created. What could be the reason for this sort of a behaviour ?
I am using business events to trigger the workflow. The data in the table/view will be updated by standard POAPPRV workflow activities. The custom workflow is subscribed to a business event raised from POAPPRV workflow, at a certain point. So this will execute when this event is raised from POAPPRV wf. The subscription has a phase value of 99.
Any help on this regard will be much appreciated, as this is a critical issue.

PS : One more thing : this is happening mostly in the production instance where the number of messages is very high (freqency).

With the BAPI_EQUI_CREATE you can only create PM equipments not IS-U devices that why there is no IS Tab .
You have to use the dialog transactions IQ01, IQ04 or the MM transaction, where you can create devices through a movement.
There is objecttype DEVICE (SWO1) with the following methods:
-> Device.CreateFromData (Create Equipment Master Record)
-> Device.Create (Create Equipment Master Record)
-> Device.CreateISU (Create IS-U: Modification for IS-U)
Please check whether you can use method Device.CreateISU for your requirement.

How do you change the max data when creating a DVD?

I recently filmed a show and am making DVD copies. The show runs 1hour 45mins and is about 79gb in HD. I'm using compressor 4.1 to create the DVDs so it fits on one disc. I've made a few test copies but so far every DVD freezes at around 43 mins when I play it in another computer or dvd player. I heard in a blog that reducing the max data should solve the problem. This is my first time using compressor and I wanted to know where do you go to change the max data and how will that affect the video quality? Also, what is the suggested range of data limits for a project of this size?

Duplicate the Create DVD preset from the Settings pane and name it.
Select the MPEG setting in the batch window.
Open the Inspector and click the Video tab.
Choose your "Encoding Mode" (CBR, etc.).
Uncheck Automatically Select Bit Rate.
You can then move the slider: somewhere around 4 Mb per second should be about right.
Just to add that you might also have a problem with the physical media. Try another brand to see whether that makes a difference.

Calculating PO Delivery Date when created from PR

Hi,
When a PO is created with reference to a PR, the "delivery date" is copied from the PR. However, if the PR has been unprocessed for 7 days, the delivery date is now effectively old.
So is it possible to change the settings so that instead the delivery date is always calculated from lead time either in PIR or material master, so it is always accurate.
For example:
Requisition created on 1st July for delivery 1st Aug based on lead time.
PO created after 1 week - on 8th July - delivery date in PO is 1st Aug - unless changed prior to printing manually.

Instead of changing SAP, you should speed up your buyers.
If the material is needed on August 1st.
Then the delivery date of august 1st + 7 day for sleeping buyers does not meet the requirements of the planner.
Maybe you should think about extending the lead time with the sleep time (purchasing processing time), so MRP can plan more accurate the next time.

CIOFUNCTION.DATA When creating Root Process

Running Designer 6i, I receive the following error when I attempt to create a new root process in Process Modeler:

Hi Badri,
When you create the message using the shortcut from Help Menu ( Help -> Create Support Message ) or via double-clicking the SAP logo you are creating a notification and not a transaction type SLFN.
This notification has an action that will create the SLFN document and pass to it all system data collected from the system where this notification is created.
The best way to avoid those information is to change the ABAP code responsible for getting the information from the notification and passing it back to the SLFN document.
In the end it is a standard modification. Keep in mind that whenever you update your solution manager it may me necessary to revisit this change.
