Assistant needs access to boss's calendar on Exchange on her iphone

I have a dilemma.
The assistant already has access to her boss's calendar on her Outlook 2007 on Exchange 2010. But not on her iphone. She has her calendar but cannot get to her boss's calendar.  How can I make this work?
We are using Air-Watch MDM to enroll and manage the iPhones.
Thanks,

We are also using AirWatch in my company and have been asked a similar question for some assistants.  Let me first state that while it is possible - there are numerous cautions to doing this!
If the assistant's phone is properly enrolled and they receive their data from Exchange, you can manually create another Exchange account on their iPhone for their manager and select what deliverables they would like to sync. AirWatch's SEG (Secure Email Gateway) will use the compliance of her/his iPhone to passthrough to Exchange any valid account on that device.  Unlike Outlook/Exchange - there is no view only for the assistant, they will have full control of that mailbox - this gets confusing with things like calendar - because they will get notifications for both meetings and the pop-ups do not indicate which account they are for.  (there is some setting changes you can make to set the assistants calendar as the default, but I have not seen notifications on/off per calendar account - only the calendar as a whole).
When we tested this, we are not using certificates to sync the passwords (that's another discussion), so everytime the manager changes their AD password (which we sync with their Outlook password), they would have to go and manually change it on the assistants phone.
In short - it is possible to have multiple accounts on an enrolled device, but the additional ones will need to be manually created (since the EAS payload pulls the Enrolled Information from the AirWatch agent for email setup), they will have full access to that mail account and can get confusing on the calendar side.

  • TS3999 Do I need wi-if for my calendar to iCloud to my iPhone?

Doesn't iPad need to be connected to wi-fi in order for the calendar to show up on my iphone via iCloud?

You need a data connection but either cellular data or wifi will work. If wifi is available and you are connected it will be used over cellular data. But if no wifi is available, then your cellular data connection will pull the information from iCloud.
Obviously, that means if you have a wifi-only iPad, then yes, you must have an active wifi connection.
The data does not "flow" form device to device.  Each device must connect to the iCloud servers to send and receive information.

  • How can I set a passcode that is only required at certain times of the day. Ie: my child needs access for school use, but don't want her playing iPad in the middle of the night. I cannot identify a way to have the iPad turn off or require a password

I cannot find a way to enable my child's iPad to require a passcode only at certain times of the day.
Yes I have used the clock/timer/ countdown - great to restrict how many minutes of iPad usage they get a day.
But as my child requires the iPad in school for class lessons the usage at school varies maybe 30 mins 1 day and a few hrs on other days
I want the ability to say set the iPad to not work between say 7pm and 7am, ( unless a passcode is entered) so my child isn't playing games on it in the middle of the night...
Apple I cannot see anything in the settings that performs this function
    Help

You can Remote Lock his iPad with Find My iPad using a computer at whatever time you like.

Note: The iPad may be disabled if he tries the passcode too many times.

  • Need to synch two outlook calendars with iphone via exchange

I get my work email via an exchange server and read it at work and on my laptop using entourage.
It's great, the exchange server works really well (we just moved from lotus) and all of my email is synching beautifully across two computers and my iphone.
But for my calendar issues. I run my boss'es calendar from my lap top and computer, and I read it via entourage. I have permissions to read/write/edit etc.... as does he. But when I synch via exchange only my calendar is shown, not his. I use ical for me, and not the entourage calendar. But I am constantly referring to his, adding, deleting, etc. I'd like to be able to do this on my iphone.
So can I do this? So my email, etc, but his calendar via exchange. On his machine, he reads his email and his calendar.
I tried to set up a separate exchange account on iphone and only one is allowed. If I could do this, problem solved.
Surely I'm not the only person to need to do this?
    thank you

You have to use a computer - not possible to do on iPhone that I know of - grant access and then the recipient will be able to view - but again will need full Outlook functionality - not possible on the phone - (well I have not tried to use the new Outlook app)

  • How can I access a calendar backup from my old iPhone?

How can I access a calendar backup from my old iPhone?
I recently had to get a replacement iPhone 4. The tech at the Apple Store thought that I might have had a software problem and recommended that I not "restore from backup," but start this phone as a new device and just sync the apps and what-not. My calendar on my computer was different than the one on my old phone, though, and now I need the data from my old iPhone calendar. I did back up my old phone just prior to taking it to the Apple Store.
    HELP!

Well what you can do is update to ios5 then use icloud to sync your calandar up to your phone then restore your phone as new and when prompted in the new phone setup put in your icloud username and password and you will have your calandar events back.

  • PowerShell: Delegates need to receive and manage calendar invites

I know how to set editor folder permissions, AD send as permissions, etc., but I want to know if there is there a way to set the sending a user's meeting requests to delegates via PowerShell.  Without PowerShell, each user must set this from Outlook:
Outlook 2010->File->Account Settings->Delegate Access->Add <mailbox_name>Set Calendar to Editor, check box 'Delegate receives copies...'->OK->OK

We only have 3000 users and a battalion of support personnel, but senior assistants jump over the help desk support wall, bypassing entire support tiers to get to the source for their support.  Once they contact you, it's your problem.  There is
no passing it off on junior personnel without a critical business outage interfering with my schedule.
Trying to coordinate time with a senior executive is next to impossible.  If there is a way I can knock out these infrequent requests quick instead of wandering around campus trying to get 5m with another exec, well, hopefully you understand. :)
I'll let you know the results of the module tests.

  • ECC6 EHP5 issue with authorisations now need access to S_DEVELOP

    Hi
We have ECC6 and have just upgraded to EHP5 and have found that many HR reports/transactions now need access to S_DEVELOP authorisation object.  This  has caused issues with our user roles.  Has anyone else experienced this issue?
    Many thanks

    Hi Julie,
Please implement SAP note :  1487329  "Additional Authorization Check in ABAP Workbench" that should solve your issue. There is also note 1617448 "WD ABAP Team Calendar needs S_DEVELOP authorization to load". Hope it helps,

  • Grant accounts access to other accounts' calendars only -using OWA

I have not been able to find a way to grant an account access to another accounts calendar -Only, when they only use OWA.  I have read this is a limitation and is by MS design but I have also read that other users have had success doing this.
I have tried many of the solutions I found online using PS to assign read access to Top of Info Store and editor or reviewer to the calendar specificially but this fails.
I have tried using some published assistance
http://exchangeserverpro.com/grant-read-access-exchange-mailbox/ for example, but I can't get the logic to apply to the MB.
Has anyone had any success allowing shared calendar access in OWA 2007 without assigning Full MB Access -and would be willing to share their success?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
According to your description, you want grant read permission not full access permission to make calendar visible for others.
If yes, we can use PFDAVAdmin to grant Calendar Reviewer permisson.
For more information, you can refer to Shafaquat Ali’s and
Westar1’s replies in the following thread:

  • ICal and access to Public Calendars on Exchange

    Dear all
I've been reading as much as I can on this subject, and all I've found so far is that it works, but you need Exchange 2007 and SP2. Well, I've finally been able to upgrade my exchange 2007 server to SP2, but now I can't find any documentation on how you actually access those public calendars.
By public calendars, I mean that calendars stored in the Public Folders tree on the exchange server, not calendars associated with a mailbox or resource mailbox.
    Things I've tried,
    - Subscribing to the calendar using the OWA web address of the calendar - failed
    - Setting up delegate access, but only mailbox calendars are shown - failed
    - Tried removing and recreating my Mail/iCal/Address book settings in Snow Leopard, no change - failed
I hope I'm just missing something, and that this is actually possible to do.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Same problem here. I previously used Entourage (2004) and had access to the public calendar (we'll call it "Jumper"), but I get an error when trying to connect to Jumper in iCal. When I try to connect I get "The server responded with an error: There was an unexpected error with the request (domain EWSExchangeWebServicesErrorDomain / error 94)." I notice when I go to the "Window" menu there are several listings of Jumper (I'm assuming each failed attempt created a window). Selecting those windows opens a blank calendar with Jumper listed in the left column and the exclamation point next to it. Clicking the exclamation point brings up the message "iCal can't refresh the account 'Jumper'." I'd hate to go back to Entourage as well, especially since the version our company provides is PPC based.
I'm not sure, but it could be in my case it's because the host of the public calendar may still be in the old email server (2003). They had to move my account over to the 2007 server in order for iCal to work with it. Don't know if this helps anyone else, but I'm going to request that the host be moved to the 2007 server and see what happens. I'll report back on my findings.

  • Will CF9 cfexchangecalendar access public calendars in Exchange Server 2007?

We need to create something in CF9 that will allow us to access public calendars in Exchange Server 2007. I've Googled it but only come up with dead ends. Any help would be appreciated.

I ran into the same situation recently, and found out that you need to make sure InternalClientsRequireSSL is set to false.
To verify: Run Get-OutlookAnywhere | fl Identity, *ssl
If it is true, try setting it to false.

  • HT1688 I have a damaged I-Phone and I need the contents of my calendar off of it. I did not have Mobile me at the time.  Can I swap out the sim card from the broken phone to a new phone and recover this calendar?

I have an older I-Phone (3G) that for some reason the body of the phone has split in two.  This phone was a business phone and it had a lot of important information on it. I have a second phone that is also a 3G.  On the broken phone there is a lot of important information that I need in my calendar. Im not worried about anything else but the calendar.  I didn't have the Mobile Me account at that time or I would be having this problem. Does anybody know if I can ust switch out the sim cards. I just need to recover the old calendar, so im hoping that the calendar will transfer when I switch the sim card into the good 3G. If that doesn't work does anybody know of anyway that I can retrieve this information off of this phone?

Nothing is stored on the sim card on an iPhone.  If you backed up to your computer the backup will contain your calendar events.  Otherwise, if your phone isn't functioning there is no way to back up or extract your calendar at this point.

yes it is safe. SAP provided the screen 8459 only for adding our own custom fields to it. For this you need access key for the first time. along with that you need access key for
