  • For Professional level certification aspirants in SAP Controlling module

Dear all Professional level Certification aspirants in SAP CO module,
I have recently passed the Certification test on SAP Management Accounting (CO) module in version ERP 6.0 EHP4.  I have more than 4 years experience in SAP Controlling module. The following are some of my suggestions regarding preparation for the exam.
    1. All the questions were scenario based. The exam tests expert level knowledge and real time scenarios in the module. The theoritical knowledge is not sufficient to clear the exam. Unless you have atleast 5 to 6 implementations in Controlling module, it is not advisable to give it a try.
    2. Detailed knowledge of the system configuration settings about the various courses mentioned in the syllabus is required. One needs a clear understanding of Special costing functions, ERP integration, Transfer Pricing, Material ledger, New GL Parallel valuation, Planning and Budgeting fuctions in various components etc.
    3. The exam tests in-depth knowledge about various integration aspects of Controlling module with other modules. The advanced master data functionalities of other logistical modules like MM, SD, PP, PM, QM, PS, CS, HCM is tested in detail.
    4. Several methods of process and performance optimization of the system are also tested.
    3. Some reporting aspects of BW and BI are also tested. The cross application aspects of the system are also tested.
    4. The exam also tests the real time skills in preparing Blueprints, Business Process design and trouble shooting the system. Being knowledgeable about some of the processing errors and message classes will be of great help.
Hope this information helps you in preparing for the certification.
Should you need any clarifications, please post a reply to this thread and I will post answers.
    All the Best!!
    VS.

    Hi Vikrant,
the pass mark for the exam is 58%. However it may be different. The passing mark shown on your screen on the day will be the correct passing mark.
All the questions were scenario based which would involve high analytical skills and through understanding of the system integration. It would be difficult to tell any specific question. The questions carry different weightage. If you answer the questions with less weightage correctly than the questions with more weightage, you end up scoring less though you answer more number of questions correctly. and it is vice versa. Go through your syllabus and cources and try to concentrate on the topic areas which contain more weightage.
Moreover, the exam is not completely technical in nature. It tests a lot of analytical and problem solving skills required on the job.
Note:Please do not ask the questions or contents of the exam as they are confidential.
    Hope this information helps you.
All the best for your exam!
    Regards,
    Vishnu.

    Hi,
You can opt for Associate or Professional level certifications based on the eligibility criteria.
    http://www.sap.com/services/education/certification/teched_2010_bangalore/index.epx
    http://www.sap.com/services/education/certification/teched_2010_bangalore_schedule/index.epx
Usually Associate level requires 3-5 years of experience in the area of certification(in your case ABAP)
Professional level requires more than 5 years
For Teched2010, we also have Associate level for ABAP certification.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards

This is the link of the HCM consulting exam and you will find all courses you need to review :

This exam is based on the course so it should not be too hard and you only have to score 55% to pass it as it is an associate level and not professional level (70%).

  • Associate level or Professional level?

I heard from a veteran SAP consultant today, that of the certified SAP consultants, only 1% are at the Professional Level, and that usually you would go for the Associate Level?  Is this true?  She is working at SAP now, and she's got 8 certifications.

I've been working in the SAP world for 14 years, and I haven't even got one certification. But my clients and customers are still happy with my work, so I must be doing something right.

  • Associate vs Professional Certification?

    Hello,
I'm a young professional working with a Fortune 150 company, supporting their SAP CRM application. I've started training for SAP CRM but am not sure whether to go for Associate or Professional SAP CRM certification. It seems like the Professional certification requires a lot of experience and knowledge whereas the Associate is more so towards beginners. My instructor for my CRM training said that there are two ways to get the Professional certification: read all the SAP training books or cheat my way by going through as many certification questions as I can. I'd rather not do the latter as I truly want to learn the material.
Do you guys think I should just go for Associates Certificate?

    Hi Kash
To gain Professional level will require many years of project experience.
Rather aim for the Associate Certificate, this is still very highly regarded in the industry and your odds of passing based purely on the reading material will be much higher.
    Regards
    Arden

C_SRM_71 - SAP Certified Application Associate - SRM 7.0 EhP 1  (The one which you asked for)
    C_SRM_72 - SAP Certified Application Associate - SRM 7.2.
    P_SRM_71 - SAP Certified Application Professional - SRM 7.0 EhP 1

I am not the best judge for those manuals. So I can't suggest you on that part of your question.

  • SF Employee Central Associate Level Certification Exam preparation

    Folks,
Did anyone give or know of any person who has given the new EC Associate Level Certification Exam rolled out by SAP / SF from 1st of October 2014? This is the new way of getting certified.
I would like to know how do we prepare for it apart from the EC Academy training and going through Implementation Handbooks? I have already completed the EC Academy and want to practice some questions and the pattern. Is there any way we can get sample questions for preparations? Since this is a new format for EC certification, people are nervous on how to best prepare for it.
The format includes 80 multiple choice questions with the pass mark being 63. On the certification website (SAP Learning Hub) there is a pdf with sample questions but there are only 9 questions. Need a few more.
Any information / lead will be highly appreciated.
    https://training.sap.com/shop/certification/c_thr81_1405-sap-certified-application-associate---sap-hcm-cloud-employee-central-g/
    Thanks,
    Yash

    Hi Jignya Joshi,
As per your recent post, you have completed your EC Certification (C_THR81_1405).
Could you please provide how to prepare for exam and how is the exam for you?
From where i can complete EC Mastery/academy? i have access to 'Cloud Learning Center' (https://sa.plateau.com/learning/user/personal/viewPersonalHome.do?ignoreBackLink=Y)  is this sufficient to complete?
For each course structure 'launch quiz' link is there, is these quiz questions are helpful for certification?
    Thanks,
    Seshu Chunduri.

  • Difference between Tech-Ed and Normal SAP Certification

    Hi,
Is there any difference between SAP TechEd certification and other Normal certification (Other than Tech-Ed, conducted by SAP) ?
I am planning to give C_TBIT51_70, which is not in TechED
    (TBIT40,TBIT50 and TBIT51).
Is there any experts who cleared this exam, please provide your inputs.
    Thank you.
    Shylesh

    Hi Shyl,
    The most important differences are:
    1) The evaluation criteria and pass percentage !!
    2) Certification fee
    1) In teched, you will not be given any partial credit but the pass percentage is less than that of the exams which you take in other months.
For me the normal certfication pass percentage was 70 % for which the same in teched was 57% BUT REMEMBER NO PARTIAL CREDIT IN TECHED.
but the normal monthly exams would be granted partial marks for each question but percentage is 70.
    2) The certification fee in teched also differs in the case. its less than that of direct certification.
BUT MY SUGGESTION IS GO FOR TECHED SINCE YOU LL HAVE GOOD EXPOSURE ON THE TECHNLOGY YOU DO. NEVER MISS IT!!
    Hope it helps!!
    Thanks!
    Preethi.

  • Most useful (and difficult too) certification -for developer

    Hi Experts,
I have a requirement that - i need to recommend to my management about a very useful certification - one that marks a quite high level of skill too. and this is for Development track -not on DBA track. The release is at least Oracle 10g . Which one would fit this need? They flatly tell me that ocp is just so easy and they want to find a better one.
Is Oracle expert on Pl/sql the one that is best choice based on this need? (we don't use oracle application developer so , while I know there is a certificaiton there, it is not relevant to us).
    thanks

    Hi All,
I am a newbie in Oracle and I want to make this for my professional profession in the future. I am a little bit confused to choose between 10g or 11g to study and get the certification.
Kindly somebody could share the info about this, what kind of exam for 10g or 11g.
My current profile is developer in database, I am not a DBA when I am looking in OCA certification, it seems this certification is for DBA. Please advice for developer which oracle certification is useful.
