ASSP Anti Spam - unable to relay outbound mail

Hi,
I have just set up ASSP and having issues with outbound mail.
I have set up the SMTP connector to use 'internal' and address space as * and using smart host (IP of ASSP server).
On ASSP i have added the exchange server IP under AcceptAllMAIL. That is the only configuration i have added on ASSP for outgoing.
Inbound works perfectly.
Can anyone assist?

With Fallout 4 only five months away from release, iOS gamers have been satiating their intense cravings by overseeing their own vaults in the cute mobile game, Fallout Shelter. So far, Android owners have been left out in the cold (nuclear winters can be tough), but it now seems that Fallout Shelter is going to arrive on the platform in August, according to a response Bethesdas Pete Hines gave to a fan question on Twitter. Hines told the fan that the game is coming along nicely, and that while there is no official release date, Fallout Shelter for Android should be out next month.Hopefully, the game will be enough to hold off fans until the Fallout 4 releases on PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 10.Here are 10 things we learnt from the Fallout 4 trailer

  • Send connector - e-mails from two domains to distinct anti-spam IPs

I have an Exchange enviroment that has two domains. I want that e-mails sent from a domain do the relay to an anti-spam, and e-mails sent from another domain do the relay to another anti-spam.
    Example:
I need to config send connector to send the e-mails from "test1.com" to IP 10.160.190.66 and from "test2.com" to IP 10.160.190.69
    How do I do?
I need this because each domain uses distincts anti-spam
    Tks.

    Hi,
Before going on, I would like to confirm the following information.
What's the version of the Exchange?
Whether the two domains have their own Exchange or share one Exchange?
    Thanks

    Hi Dave,
Following are the detailed steps to uninstall Anti-Spam:
Close the EMC (Exchange Management Console).
Open the PowerShell and navigate using the following path: "Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\Scripts".
Run the "uninstall-AntispamAgents.ps1" script as shown in window (with ./ before the script name) below:
Note: You will be prompt to disable and then uninstall each agent of the Anti-spam system like the Connection filtering, content filter, Sender filtering etc.
Restart the "Microsoft Exchange Transport" service in order to apply configuration changes.
Open the Exchange Management Console, and on the Organization configuration list, select
Hub Transport. You will see that the "Anti-Spam" tab has been removed from the Hub Transport properties.
I suggest double check whether you have re-start the Transport service.

    Hi,
Since you are able to send emails to internal domain i assume the application server IP address already allowed into Receive Connector.
To relay application emails to external domain you should enable Externally Secured box in the Authentication Tab of the particular Receive Connector.

    Hi,

    Hi Cinekc,
Besides SSorin's suggestion, I would like to clarify the following things:
    1. Please use telnet to port 25 to test SMTP communication. Here is a thread for your reference.

    2. Please contact recipient side to verify if there is any limitation. What's more, I recommend you ask the recipient side add yourdomain.com into "The sender's domain is" exception of Anti-Spam transport rule and check the result.

  • Unable to whitelist our mail server IP

    Hi,
I hope Verizon Support staff will see this message as it is practically our last resort.
Ever since we upgraded our dedicated server used as both web and mail server for the domain kraisoft.com (which inflicted IP address change) all emails sent out from this server to Verizon customers are being rejected with the following bounce message:
host relay.verizon.net[206.46.232.11] refused to talk to me:
571 Email from 69.64.78.50 is currently blocked by Verizon Online's anti-spam system. The email sender or Email Service Provider may visit http://www.verizon.net/whitelist and request removal of the block. 150330
Any attempts to whitelist our server using the above-mentioned form end up within several minutes with seemingy automatic (judging by its uselessness and the time taken to investigate) reply:

Any attempts to reply to this message, or use "this form", or email [email protected] quoted in the message end in complete and total silence.
Needless to say the IP adress in question - 69.64.78.50 -
    1. Does not have any spam issues as it is a freshly assigned IP address for a new dedicated server built a couple of weeks ago (with your rejection started from the day one). The Postfix mailer on the server is configured properly, not an open relay, isn't listed in any of the 100 common blacklists, uses SSL client connections, has SPF records, signs email using DKIM etc.
    2. Isn't by any means a dynamic IP. It is a static IP, one of the 4 assigned to the server by the hoster.
    3. ANY available tool (online or command-line) will show within seconds that  a proper reverse hostname kraisoft.com is assosiated with the IP address in question 69.64.78.50 so the reply is obviously irrelevant.
This is getting extremely frustrating and we'd be very, very grateful if this issue could be escalated to someone who can provide some additional info or resolve the issue.
    Thank you.

  • Sendmailjpkg.sendmail -  550 5.7.1 Unable to relay

    Hi to all,
    Oracle 10g database.
We have an application that sends emails (only with one email address), with sendmailjpkg.sendmail,
We've recently installed an exchange 2010 server, and in doing so we've changed the relevant DNS/MX records to point the to new IP address. I changed the new SMTP address in database (in sendmail Java class – props.setProperty (“mail.host”,”NEW SMTP IP”), ...) and everything was ok when we sent email to local domain users, but when database sent to external email users we get this error:
    javax.mail.SendFailedException: *550 5.7.1 Unable to relay*
I know what is the problem is, exchange required full authenication to send emails outside the domain with JavaMail, attempt at stopping spam…
But I do not know how to create authenticator class, how to put authentications in sendmail Java class or in my procedure where I use sendmailjpkg.sendmail, or anywhere else ?
    Thanks!

Isn't that a Java issue rather than a SQL or PL/SQL issue?

  • 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay to certain provider

I'm having trouble sending e-mail to a certain provider in the NL (KPN) where our e-mail bounces with a 550 5.7.1 error.
I have tried in vein to contact someone at this provider who knew anything about their e-mail/anti spam servers so that is a dead end.
We are relaying our e-mail through a postfix server which is acting as border gateway, there is also an exchange server relaying through this gateway which is unaffected, which means the 'problem' is with GW. (obviously this provider has their servers configured in a poor way or I would not be able to e-mail the rest of the world..)
The e-mail bounces before it gets to the DATA bit and I have narrowed it down to the RCPT TO: line.
    RCPT TO:<[email protected]> NOTIFY=SUCCESS,FAILURE ORCPT=rfc822;[email protected]:1:1
More specifically to the ':1:1' bit. Does anyone have any idea what GWIA setting causes it to add this ? I'm pretty sure there are more GroupWise systems in this country that do not seem to be affected or it would be a known issue .. When i look at Exchange it does not add anything after the RCPT TO address.
This is our agents/share/gwia.cfg (with info edited out)
    Code:
    --home /var/opt/novell/groupwise/mail/domain/wpgate/gwia
    --dhome /var/opt/novell/groupwise/mail/domain/wpgate/gwia
    --hn GroupWise.domain.nl

You are correct, the ORCPT part is added by the relay if it has not been added by GW.
    GWIA w/o DSN delivers as:
    RCPT TO:<[email protected]>
    GWIA w DSN delivers as:
    RCPT TO: <[email protected]> ORCPT=rfc822;[email protected]:1:1 NOTIFY=SUCCESS,FAILURE
the :1:1 bit is the problem though, I have no idea where that's coming from.. I can't find any evidence in the smtp rfc's that its a valid thing to be there... all I know its being added to the string that is validated to check if its a valid recipient address by some mail server setting on what I *think* is exchange and then failing this test.
I can't find any evidence that this :1:1 bit serves any purpose, I can find evidence that its a common thing in GW, I found another post on these forums where :2:1 was added.

    Secure(SSL): Yes
How to fix this issue ?

    Hi,
Did you create a relay connector to allow to relay in Exchange? About how to create a relay connector, you can refer to the following article.
How to Configure a Relay Connector for Exchange Server 2010

sure that you completely understand the risk before retrieving any suggestions from the above link.
To allow a device to use Exchange to relay a message to an outside recipient, you also need the ms-Exch-SMTP-Accept-Any-Recipient attribute.
    Get-ReceiveConnector -Identity relayconnector | Add-ADPermission -User "NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON" -ExtendedRights "ms-Exch-SMTP-Accept-Any-Recipient"

  • 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for [probably bogus Email address]

    Hello,
My Exchange Server has been reporting numerous instances of the following message (or very similar messages) most days for a couple of weeks or so now:
This is an SMTP protocol log for virtual server ID 1, connection #3. The client at "118.161.64.59" sent a "rcpt" command, and the SMTP server responded with "550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for [email protected] ". The
full command sent was "rcpt TO: <[email protected]>". This will probably cause the connection to fail. For more information, click http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect .asp
The Email address is unknown, and probably bogus.
What really concerns me is that the messages from yesterday (Sunday!) contained a now defunct Email account from someone who used to work in our London head office, but left about a couple of years ago. To me, this implies that there has been unauthorised
access to the company IT infrastructure - possibly at both sites - and that someone is trying to get our Exchange Server to relay unsolicited / mailicious Emails. The above message suggests that the attempted relaying has not been successful to date, and I
can't find anything out of the ordinary in the SMTP queues or the Exchange logs - but the persistence does concern me.
So, am I reading this correctly? If so, what can I do about it? Or if not, what does it really mean?
Thankyou very much for your help.
    Kind regards,
    Keith

If your Exchange server is accessible from the Internet, as it would be to allow you to receive SMTP mail unless you have a relay server like an Exchange Edge server, then Spammers will attempt to use it to relay.  Your server is correctly rejecting
that, so I don't see a problem.  If you're worried about this, then you could contract with a third-party cloud-based message hygiene service like Exchange Online Protection, and the restrict the IP address that can talk to your Exchange server to those
    of the hygiene service.
