  • Do Apple Stores stock upgraded MB Pro's?

Hey I was wondering of anyone knows about an Apple Store which stocks an upgraded MacBook Pro.
I'm after the 15" i7 with the 7200 rpm HDD and Hi Res glossy display upgrade.
But a friend of mine ordered the exact same spec online yesterday and the estimated shipping date is 20th Sept and delivery date of 27th.
I know they have to build it first then ship it from China, but that's way too long.
So does anyone know if any Apple Store stock upgraded models at all or offer a hard drive upgrade in store?

They stock basic configurations of each model. They do not stock models that require online modification. Those are called CTO - Configured To Order  - orders. Those must be ordered online.

  • Do Apple Stores stock the Invisible Shield?

Im based in the uk, but a friend is heading over to San Fransico next week and im wondering if the apple stores stock the invisible shield or will i have to order from the invisible shield website?
    cheers guys

    Hi there,
AFAIK the only way to get them is via their website.
I'm from Germany and have been looking around the last days to find a German or at least European dealer, thinking it might arrive faster. Haven't had any luck though :/
So, I ordered mine 2 days ago via the website. I'm pretty curious how long it will take to arrive here.
    Cheers from Germany,
    Mara

    Hello,
after upgrading to Xorg 1.8 one week ago, I noticed that my Fn keys (sound up/down, mute) were dupplicated. For example, if I press Fn+F10 (=MUTE/Unmute), the sound get muted and immediately unmuted.

    Nothing ?
Switchng off hal deamon and cleaning ~/.kde* has no effect...
So, after searching on google again an again, still nothing found.... even among the Ubuntu specific issue where post are terminated
with "wait next version of the package", the windows-style answer.
I will continue my attempts to fix this... but my conclusion about this is that hal was more precise in his behavior than udev...

  • Need help with Apple Store stock

    Hi there!!
I'll be on a business travel to NY in one month and i'm planning to buy a 15" MBP 2.0 with the Anti-Glare display.
Probably i'll be buying it on the 5th avenue store, and now i have two choices.
I'm travelling from Spain, so getting the Western Spanish keyboard is almost mandatory.
The two choices i've got are:
1.- I've read the store can swap the keyboard in 1-2 days if needed. So, this would be a great choice not to have any problems with the credit card and the billing address. But i'd need to know if they have computers in the store with the specs (anti-glare) so i can go and buy it on the fly (asking them for a keyboard swapping)
Does anyone know (or has the chance to know) if they stock the 15" MBP with the Anti-Glare option in any apple store?
2.- I'll be staying 4-5 days in Florida prior to flying to NY, so i thought of customizing and ordering it throught the Online Apple Store, paying with an apple gift card and have it shipped to my hotel. The apple store states that it will take 6-7 days to have it delivered, so i guess i would be in time before i come back (the trip will take 11 days).
    What do you suggest?
Is anyone able to help me and check if i could find it with the anti-glare option in the apple store in the 5th avenue?
    Thanks a lot in advance!!!!!

Thanks " a brody". I know about the spanish customs and about the sales tax in different states.
The only thing that makes me "nervous" is that i get there and they don't have an anti-glare computer in stock. I've read on several threads that they usually have the anti-glare option in stock in the stores, but just wanted to double check.
I'm travelling a lot lately from one country to another, so calling is a bit difficult because of time differences.
Thanks a lot for your help!!!

  • Do the apple store stock every configuration of Macbook Pro?

I'm considering buying a 13 inch retina MacBook Pro soon, probably 512GB, and was wondering what configurations apple keep in store? I've noticed that on the apple store you can configure MacBooks to have more RAM ext, and was wondering if all these are stocked in the stores, or would I need to order one online and take it into store? I'm really not the most tech savvy person, so wouldn't be comfortable setting up a new mac and transferring all my data over from my PC, so I'd need to visit a store for s omeone to assist me, and my nearest apple store is 100 miles away so I'd like to know they have the macbook I want! Also if I decide I won't want a configured one, just the normal retina 13 inch 512GB, am I just able to walk into store, buy it and have them move all my files, or do I need to make an appointment? Thanks for your help!
Probably in the wrong category sorry!

No, they will have the base models.  Otherwise you will have to order one to match your preferences via the store or online.
    Ciao.

  • UK apple store stock

    Hi,
I wanted to know if I'll go to one of the apple stores in the UK the iphone 4 will be in stock or it's just like the site status - 3 weeks wait list?
    btw
If I'll order the iphone 4 from http://store.apple.com/uk they'll add the case or will I have to go back to one of the apple store in order to get the free case?
    Thanks.

best to wait till end of the week start of next week before ordering then u will know if u will get a free case with your order (which u should) and might also be able to pick one. as there might also be other cases/bumper to pick from.

  • Does Apple stores stock airport card

    Hi all
I just did not know where else to turn, I have been trying to contact the Apple Store at Meadowhall UK by phone for 2 days to see if they stock the Airport Card, No one is answering the telephone, its about a 30 mile trip, I dont want to go for nothing.
    Mike

It doesn't matter which wireless router/base station you are uisng, it depends on which Mac you have.
    I have a G4 Duel 1.25
If it has a FW 800 (FireWire 800) port, it requires the AirPort Extreme card. If not, it requires the original AirPort card.
    I have an iMac G5
Some iMac G5s have built-in AirPort Extreme. Use System Profiler to see if your iMac G5 has built-in AirPort Extreme. If it does not, it requires the AirPort Extreme card.

  • Do apple stores stock their top spec macbook pros?

I have been told that apple dont stock the top spec macbook pro with retina display and that you have to order it online to be delivered, however I find it hard to believe that they wouldn't. If anyone could tell me if they do or not that would be great.
    These are the specs:
2.6GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.8GHz
    16GB 1600MHz DDR3L SDRAM
    512GB PCIe-based Flash Storage
Backlit Keyboard (British) & User's Guide (English)
    Thanks.

They stock basic configurations of each model. They do not stock models that require online modification. Those are called CTO - Configured To Order  - orders. Those must be ordered online.

  • Opening Stock Comapny - Plant - Material - Batch - Storage location Wise

    Dear Friends,
I want to do the following report. I will explain the details to you. Pleaes suggest on how to go about it.
    1. Since you know that SAP stores stock in a summary form (Plant / Material wise). Our management wants the report on the following hierarchy. (Company - Plant - Material - Batch - Storage). Our management has suggested the following:
    a. Create a ZTABLE with the above columns including Quantity (which will contain closing stock quantity).
    b. In this calculate and store Closing stock for each month.
    c. an insert / update program has to be created for uploading data in the ZTABLE (selection will contain date).
    for ex:
When running the  program for 31st March 2008. system will take the closing stock stored in the ZTABLE for previous months + March Receipt - March issues. the result will be the closing stock for March 2008.
    d. Then a report will be prepared using the ZTABLE and other calculated fields.
Can anyone give me the guideline as to how to go about it. Tables to be used and logic to be followed? Or if any other way the result can be achieved then nothing like it.
The Managements final goal is to have any given date closing stock in the above hierarchy (minimizing the Performance issue... that is why the suggestion of ZTABLE)...
    Awaiting for your expert opinions.....

    Jitesh M Nair

  • Stock as on particular date

    Hi guys,
Can we get stock of any material as on a specified date without using mb5b?  Which table will store this data?
Please help me out on this
    thanks in advance
    sai

    Hello Chintu,
MB5B is the best report to get material stock on specific date.
There is no direct table which stores stock on particular date, but SAP system calculates strategically with GR, GI and material transfers to get this data. If you want report on that then I think need to develop it.
Does MB5B not meet your requirement? Pl. explain the requirement so we can suggest accordingly.

  • Are there advantages to buying from the Apple Store v authorised reseller?

I am planning on buying a new Macbook Pro as an upgrade from my macbook. I bought my last 2 Apple computers from my local Apple Premium reseller and have been happy with their service but I was thinking of taking a trip up to London to the Regent Street Apple Store just to take a look. Is there any advantage to buying direct from Apple, either online or in the Store, over buying from a reseller. Is the aftersales service any better if anything goes wrong?

No big differences, overall. Warranty coverage is the same. Return policy for DOA machines may differ (Apple will give you a brand new one, resellers may try to repair it). Apple Store stock tends to be fresher than most resellers (i.e. an MBP from the Apple Store is more lkely to have Leopard pre-installed, vs. a "drop-in" upgrade DVD).
    Hope this helps...

  • Create a Purchase Order from a Shop Cart where Stock is held

A customer requires a shop cart user (Requestor) to decide that they would like to go to straight to Purchase Order for a Stocked Item rather than a reservation being created and stock being transferred from a remote storage location. The customer would like the Requstor to still have the Shop Cart availability subscreen in order to check stock but also be able to enter account (cost) assignment details within the shop cart.
    Customer is on SRM_SERVER 550 SP14 with ERP ECC6 SP18.
I would appreciate if somebody could share their thoughts and ideas.
    Regards, Kyle.
Edited by: Kyle Freeman on Jan 28, 2010 4:50 PM

    Kyle,
We are on SRM 550 as well and although we haven't implemented any stores business process in SRM we did look into it in some detail.
If your store uses R/3 or ERP MRP processes then there is not a lot of advantage in transferring the stock replenishment to SRM, you just introduce more steps into what is already a fairly intensive process.  If you do not use MRP then transferring stock replenishment to SRM may be the way to go depending on your line of business.
Basic process for using SRM with stores materials would be as follows.
    1. Transfer Material codes from the back end system to SRM - needs to be done regularly especially if you are creating new materials all the time.
    2. Make the store a business partner so that stock reservations process can be completed.
    3. Put materials in an internal catalog and make the catalog only available to users who require goods from the store via the stock reservations process.
    4. Also put the materials in another catalog where the source of supply is the external vendor who will deliver the goods to the stores for stock replenishment.
    5. Only make this stock replenishment catalog available to users who are responsible for re-stocking the store.
You may already know that stores stock is normally held against a balance sheet account and not a cost center account so stores stock does not require a cost assignment unless you are generating a stock reservation for consumption against a cost center/order.
If you wanted to make both sources available to user i.e. store and external you would only have to make both catalogs available to them.
    Hope these thoughts help

  • Why does the retail store only carry 5400rpm drives in mbp 17?

Just wondering why the stores carry the mbp 17's but only with a 5400rpm drive? I realize I can order it and change the drive options, but if they carried more options IN store they would sell more (I think at least).
A 7200 rpm drive option @ 500gb in the store vs only online would have helped push me to buy in store today, and in general for something that is going to be high end and well over 2.5K base a 7200rpm drive doesn't seem to much to ask for as a base in store stocked item - just sayin'

Understandable. Also consider that the HD is very easy to swap; I strongly suspect they'd do it for you right on the spot in the store, but then again you'd have to buy the 7200 from them. I don't know that I've ever heard of anyone just being able to pay the difference in the store, let them swap the drives and keep the still-new 5400; I doubt they'd go for it, but wouldn't hurt to ask if it's important to you.
