Asymmetric routing seen in WAE when using 6500 switch
Hi all,
When we do self diagnostic test for WAE connected to the 6500 switch i get warning as below. Due to this alert there is no major acceleration benfits by the WAAS
Test WARN [tfo]
WARN ASYMMETRIC Asymmetric routing is seen in the device
Action:
Check router's network configuration and WCCP redirection on the router.
usevwa1#
6509 switches has only L2 capability and does not do WCCP redirection. The WCCP re-direction is done by 2821 routers.
Is there any command which needs to be given in 6500 switch to solve the issue
Hi Dhanasekaran,
unfortunately you have to check the redirection policies and the routing table of the devices and force both the directions to pass through the same WAE.
If you have a topology diagram please send it to me also the configuration of the devices that do WCCP redirection.

When we hear about VRF, its almost synonymous to MPLS VPN. Virtual Routing and Forwarding is commonly used by Service Providers to provide services within an MPLS cloud with multiple customers. The most interesting feature of this is that, VRF allows creation of multiple routing tables within a single router. This means that overlapping use of IP addresses from different customers is possible. Some enterprises use VRF to seggrate their services like VOIP, wireless, geographical location and other varieties.Whether you can replace the 891 device with another device boils down to a single question: Do you need to run BGP with the Service Provider in order to use their service. If you need to run a routing protocol with your service provider, your service is likely a L3VPN (IP VPN) solution ( i.e. you inject your site's routes into the providers L3VPN session, they use MP-BGP+VRF for segmentation within their network).
If, however, they just drop you a L2 connection and provide L2 emulated services ( e.g. L2VPN or VPLS ) across their network, then your device can be whatever you want it to be.
From your device's perspective, it is not VRF aware. That is, it does not know about how the service provider segments your service from another customers. In the L3VPN case, your device is routing-protocol aware. In the L2VPN case, your device is not routing protocol aware and does not need to form adjacency with the service provider's equipment.

No route to openvpn server when using networkmanager and wireless
Since some weeks I can not connect to openvpn networks via WIFI when using the networkmanager. Connecting manually there is no problem.
When I connect my laptop via LAN (enp0s25) and establish an openvpn connection everything works as expected:

Any ideas?There are two problems here. The first is a firewall problem. Although the Open MQ port mapper running on port 7676 wasn't being blocked, the port that mq tcp port was. I was able to solve this by creating an ssh tunnel and specifying a mqtcp connection.

The second problem is the lack of helpful error message. It's the sort of problem where you can't really blame any one party too much. Open MQ and Java are both just reporting the error message that they are given by the operating system. They should do a bit more than that. -

I honeslty don't know this information. This stuff was bought at least a
few years ago. A student who is now gone had put it together a while back.
There were a lot of binders with it for instructions but none of it was
very clear to me. I'm sending pictures with the parts I have
(controller,drive,motor,etc.).

Hi thanks for the reply. We got it connected via Ethernet now. We had to
change the IP address of "local area connection" on the computer to
192.168.10.1 for it to see the controller. So now that it is connecting to
the controller, it keeps saying that the drives are all disabled. I have
one drive connected to the controller in the Axis 0 port.

I used input 0 for the positive limit, input 1 for the negative limit, and input 2 for the home switch. However, when using ACR view the switch kept displaying that the switch had been tripped when nothing was pressing against it. I would also try pressing on the mechanical switch to see at least if the value would change but to no avail.

Compiler error when useing switch statements in an inner class
I have defined several constants in a class and want to use this constans also in an inner class.
All the constants are defined as private static final int.
All works fine except when useing the switch statement in the inner class. I get the compiler error ""constant expression required". If I change the definition from private static final to protected static final it works, but why?
What's the difference?

UDESEncrypt Errors when using the JAVA engine (NW IDM 7.0)

I'm seeing an error when I use the uDESEncrypt function with the Java Engine in NW IDM SP2 Patch 3.
The error I am getting is:
runFunctionsInString($FUNCTION.encrPWD()$$) got exception
org.mozilla.javascript.EvaluatorException: uDESEncrypt: Key should be exactly 24 bytes long.
The code calling it is:

Alternative approaches,
1) setting key empty and it will look into %DSE_HOME%\KEY\key.ini
which should be C:\Program Files\SAP\IdM\Identity Center\Key\key.ini on default installation path.
2) or setting the key to something like = 6D5A2AF59B1CDD7F9592484F178331C891537A3F9B91D362
a 24 byte key...
Also when using DES you should ensure that in Identity Center underneath Options/General
you have encryption algorithm set to 3DES.
Normally if you intend to use this for password provisioning in IC you would also
on the identity store (for instance 'Enterprise people') underneath 'password policy' check
of for 'enable password provisioning.'
By doing so the MX_ENCRYPTED_PASSWORD with be set when operating through
workflow (3DES encryption version of the MX_PASSWORD) which allows you to obtain password
when provisioning to other target systems... -
Unable To Use Device Switch Wizard

I just bought a new Tour and want to migrate my data from my Palm Centro to the Blackberry. I have tried using a PC with Vista x64, Vista x32 and XP Pro. For whatever reason, the program doesn't see Palm Desktop or the Centro. Anyone have any ideas?

How can I force mount a dvd that isn't even seen by Disk Utility? I can see it on the Mac when using my Windows 7 partition via Boot Camp, but not in Lion, which is how I would rather be running.
Well if there is a EFI block, then running a program in OS X isn't going to do a lick of good.
After all EFI was designed for Trusted Computing and Digital Rights Management, to act between the OS and hardware, can read drives, contact the Internet and everything.
Windows doesn't use EFI, will have UEFI in Windows 8 though. -
I just updated itunes and started to update my phone to iSo5 when wireless connection was lost on my laptop, I can't get it back and it says there are no networks available-router is working fine, am using it on my iPhone now. Help!
Reboot your router. You by chance dont have a netgear N300 WNR2000 router do you? I had one of those and would lose wifi on it constantly, Switched to a Cisco wifi router and it works much better.

Edited by: 975464 on 6-Dec-2012 11:21 AMI agree it should be an ACK not an RST but it doesn't really matter. The connection is closed, and as neither the client nor the server has any pending data it is benign. Worth investigating in a later JRE.

Routing selection in Production Order when using ECN in Routing
Hi experts,
I'm having some trouble with routing selection when using ECN in routing creation.
I tested a case where I have 3 routings without ECN, and the Order asked me which one of the 3 I want to use.
Then I created a routing with ECN. The order asked only one routing without ECN and the new routing with ECN.
Do you know if there is any relation about using the ECN in Routings and using at the same time Routings without ECN, when selecting the routing in production order?
Anybody can help?

All the 4 routings are valid from Oct.2014 to 31.12.9999.
The Order date is from Apr.2015.
I've made another test with 2 routings created with ECN and the order chose one without asking me what to choose. I don't know the criteria used in this functionallity.

Firefox (3.6.10) opens websites when hard wired to router, but when using wireless I get message: SERVER NOT FOUND FIREFOX CAN'T FIND THE SERVER AT SEARCH.AVG.COM. If Work Offline is checked in Firefox File, I can get to Google search site. When I un-check it I still get the Server Not Found messageDid you check the connection settings?

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

DSL Connection Very slow ONLY when using wireless router
My DSL connection was running super slow (approx 136 Kbs) - I disconnected the Linksys wireless router and plugged by DSL modem directly into the computer. Then my internet speed increased to 1.4 Mbs (a 10 fold increase).
Any suggestions on how / why my speed drops so extensively when using the Linksys wireless routher (wrt45g).

The reason I ask is that Windows usually reports its download speed in KB/sec (Kilobytes per second). But most web (internet) speed tests report their speed in Mbps (Megabits per second.)
A 1.4 Mbps line will typically pass data at about 140KB/sec.
To help determine what kind of problem you are having, do the same speed test in 3 different ways:
1) Connect one computer, by wire, directly to your modem
2) Connect one computer, by wire, directly to your router (all other computers and network devices should be off).
3) Connect one computer, wirelessly, to your router (all other computers and network devices should be off).
Report back your results, and also, please state what line speed you are paying for. Once we have this, we will hopefully be able to help you. -
Airport Express not working when used with Broadband Router **HELP!!!**
Hello.
I have an ethernet network in my house, and I am connected to the network via a Linksys router for Broadband VOIP and internet. I am on a G5 in my home office and want to stream music to my Airport Express for my home stereo in the living room, via the ethernet connection.
The problem is that when using the router in my network, only the Admin Utility sees the base station-- iTunes does not.
If I remove the router from the equation altogether and plug the network ethernet cable directly into the G5, the AX in the other room works just fine and I can get internet on the G5 in the office. The problem is that I need the router to operate my Vonage VOIP phone service and to connect a second computer to the internet as well. The IP address for the router in the home office is "192.168.x.xxx" and when I try moving it to the living room and connecting the AX to it, the Admin Asst doesn't see the AX at all.
When I connect the router to the network in the office, I can use internet on both computers and the VOIP phone service, and the AX Admin Asst. sees the base station from the other room. But again, iTunes does not.
Is there a way to configure the router to see the AX?

I received an Airport Express (FW v. 6.3) for Christmas this year. I already am using a D-Link DI-524 wireless(G) router (Rev A FW 1.03) for my Comcast cable modem in my house (downstairs). What I wanted to do is to add the Airport Express in my office upstairs to my network (client mode) so that I could print from my HP Deskjet 3740 printer and listen to iTunes on my stereo through Airtunes. I have two iBooks (G3) with regular (802.11b) airport cards in them) running Tiger.
I ran into a couple of snags though. I could see the printer in Rendezvou and I could see the airport express in iTunes. I however could not print to the printer or connect to the speakers. I was able to connect to the speakers very intermittenly and then the audio would be disrupted every few seconds.
After a bit of hacking, what I found is that it seems that WPA PSK security doesn't work between the two. I changed the security to 128 bit WEP (ASCII mode). This means that you need an exactly 13 character pass phrase. This is necessary because Apple (and pretty much only Apple) supports 40 bit WEP (5 chars) and D-Link (and the rest of the Windows wireless universe) supports 64 bit WEP (7 chars), but they both support 128 bit WEP. I assume you could set both up as an open network if you were far enough from your neighbors, but I am in a townhouse complex, so I thought I probably better have some security on the network.
Now I only see one network (the one set up on my D-Link router) and I can print to my printer and stream to my stereo through iTunes (without disruption). Seems to work seemlessly now.
I should also mention that I did about three other things. I moved the LAN subnet on the D-link router to 192.168.1.1 (DHCP client address are now between 1.100 and .1.200) I had heard that this was necessary since both routers tried to use the 192.168.0 subnet, but I think this is only necessary in relay mode. I also statically assigned the IP address for the Airport Express. Finally I set up a firewall rule of Source WAN/LAN IP addresses of 192.168.1.100-200 of any protocol from ports 1-20000 to the same destination address range should be allowed to allow for all LAN traffic to be passed. I am very certain this is unnecessary and possible dangerous for security, but I thought I should mention that I did it.
