Hello, I've bought a iphone 5 brand new but after few days I started to notice some of weird...no connection with the apple store, no apps downloads, pictures disappeared and in the meanwhile there are tons if pics of other people... The earphone were missing in the box. At least I noticed the
Statement on the back box "demo not for resale". What could I do now?? Thx a lot

Thank you for your response, Chris. But I'm afraid I have to disagree. There are native 64 bit versions of iTunes available for OSX and Windows.
In a 64 Bit Windows environment native 64 Bit Applications install the DLL's in a directory called "Program Files" and a directory called "Program Files (x86)" (32 Bit applications only use the ladder).
iTunes 9 is consistent with this behavior - and it identified itself to the system as a 64 bit application (meaning it's process appears without a "*32" tag on it).

I'm having some hiccups getting Adobe to register the software, but since I set it as the default .pdf reader during setup, things try (and fail) to open in the as yet unregistered software. How can I change it temporariiy to the Acrobat Reader XI that I have installed?

I'd opened file with the 'Open with' feature then clicking Adobe Reader,
but that didn't do it. When I used 'Open with', then 'Choose default
program...', it worked like a charm.

Since the only thing needed in that box is the small piece of paper with the (very long) registration code on it (usually found inside the booklet), see if that is actually there and, if it is, call Apple at 800-275-2273 and ask to be transferred to the Applecare department. How can I get MY LOGIN to stay logged in for twoweeks or more.....Currently I have to log in every time I go to firefox with ID & Password. The box does not affect it.

When I click on the Firefox logo it owns screen and the mail box button appears. I click on that and it requires me to enter my e-mail address and password. There is a box with a checkmark in it to stay logged in but it doesn't work. Whether it is once a day or 4 times a day I go to Firefox to look at mail I have to put in the full e-mail address and password even though the box is checked to stay logged in. I really like firefox as a browser but we have to fix this for me to stay with FireFox.

Apps can only be updated using the same Apple ID and password they were originally purchased with.

I have Apple TV version 7.4.2. We read in a blog that in order to reset our Apple TV we should press the menu button and the select big button at the same time which we did. Now when we attempt to turn on the apple tv box it with the remote we get a white light and sometimes we can get the menu screen but the remote will not let us move now will it allow us to turn the apple tv on or off. If we just leave it alone, the white light eventually goes away. I did unplug the apple tv and we removed the batteries and reinstalled them from the remote and that did not make any difference. If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.

How do I dis-able the pop-up blocker when the box is not checked and yet, pop ups are being blocked?

I want to totally disable Mozilla's pop-up blocker. I went to the tools/options page and found that the pop up blocker box is not checked but it is still blocking pop-ups. I see that others are having the same problem. How do we fix it, or, is this a programming issue and if so, is Firefox fixing it? It is quite annoying.

Could you click the Exceptions button to the right of "Block pop-up windows" and make sure none of those sites is specifically blocked?
If you have unchecked the box and there is no site-specific setting, that usually does it...
Is it possible that an add-on is doing the blocking? A standard diagnostic to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings) is to try Firefox's Safe Mode.
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [[Backing up your information]]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, restart Firefox in Firefox's Safe Mode ([[Safe Mode]]) using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode."
Check the Options dialog > Content to make sure the pop-up blocker is turned off.
If popups now work correctly, this points to one of your extensions as the most likely culprit. If you restart in normal mode, you can try disabling (or adjusting the options of) any that seem possibly popup-related (e.g., security related) here:

G580 can't backup right out of the box. Not enough space

I recently aquired a G580 with the i5 processer, 500gb hard drive and Win8. I see the lenovo center is telling me to do a backup and since I just set it all up the way I wanted I figured it's a good idea anyway. I follow the instructions and it automatically makes a path to the D drive. I click backup and it say's there isn't enough space?
Seems my hard drive was partitioned from the factory with only a 25gb (24.9 to be exact) D drive. Now the only thing on the D drive is an applications folder with nortons and a driver folder with what looks to be backups of the OEM drivers. All this takes up 2gb of space. The backup is saying it needs 25.2 gb. So even without those files on the D drive I still wouldn't be able to make a backup.
I am reading the partitioning thread but I'm lost really. Plus I don't really want to be messing with partitions on a brand new machine out of the box. It seems I might have too though. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Let me suggest a few things. I guess that will clarify few of the doubts.
1. The factory default image is saved on the OEM partition (hidden). This can be used through One Key recovery for loading factory defaults.
2. Refer to this link on creating a back up of factory default image. This can be used to get Windows back in case of hard drive failure or replacement. Applies to Ideapads also. Link
3. The option of creating Backup using the One Key Recovery software is for the current system image and not the factory default image. Hence the size will vary from user to user and I guess the D drive will not be sufficient for this. Anyhow, as you mentioned, creating the backup on external drive makes more sense.

New ipad out of the box will not boot up?

I have a new iPad2 new out of the box and will not boot up. It is fully charged and when I touch the sleep/wake botton a usb cable appears with an itunes icon in the center. Nothing happens when I touch the screen. Any thoughts?

Skype is auto-answering even though the box is not...

I have a problem. Skype on my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S3) is automatically answering calls, even though the box is unchecked. Sometimes I don't even realise someone has called me, but my phone has already answered, so they can hear everything I am saying!
My Android Skype version is 4.6.0.42007

Very scary and outright dangerous. Wouldn't surprise me if a bug like this could have arosen from faulty answering button logic (i.e. the phone/framework thinks the green "answer" button is being pressed all the time though it is not).
In either case, this is just more icing on the cake which is a client broken beyond all repair. Android Skype just needs to be scrapped and rebuilt from the ground up if they are serious about supporting the platform any longer. As bad as things are now, I'd respect them far more if they just slam dunk announced that they have stopped supporting Android and are focusing on other platforms.

Work in the box or not with my setup?

New Logic user here...
I've moved up to a G5 with Logic Pro after spending years on a G4 with VST.
I have a 32 channel Mackie desk and used to run 16 tracks into my two delta's and 16 tracks back out again. All of the effects etc were run from auxes and inserts on the desk so the G4 was acting as a tape recorder and I use a finalizer for mixes.
Logic 8 has all of those features built in and I'm thinking, should I use the 'box' now and will my G5 handle it without falling over. I record full bands live and so far it's been great even with two sound cards(aggregate)that aren't well known to work in that setup, but I still add effects and master out of the box.
Any help or advice would be great.

Do whichever works for you.
Personally, I like the recallability of in the box, and the FX are mostly as good as hardware boxes unless you have the really good stuff (high end Lexicons, Eventides etc).
Try working on projects both ways, and working out for yourself which is the preferred work method for you - the only person who can really answer that is you...

I just purchased my new ipad2 a few hours ago. Right out of the box it will not power on. Tried to sync in case that would help but it didn't. I can't imagine what the problem would be. At the Apple store they said it should be charged and ready to go.

Thanks but it must be defective because that didn't work. Trying to sync it didn't work nor did trying to charge it. Guess it's another trip to the Applie store tomorrow.

I cannot read all the written word/note in a Reminder

We have two iPad with iOS7, nd on both the Reminder does not work. On out iPhone 4 with iOS7 it is okay.
The problem is, when I have a Reminder and have more text in the field "Notes" that can be written in one screen, I cannot scroll the the text. I cannot Edit at then scroll the text. When I scroll the text jumps up again.
Since iOS6 this was a problem.
Does anyone know abot this problem? I have to get it solved, because I sync to Exchange and use Outlook Tasks alot.

Factory Recovery (Out of The Box Recovery) not working properly

I've got a Satellite L505D-G6000, 4 months out of warranty, go figure right, running windows 7 home pro. I've had an issue that I needed to get it back to "Out of the box" condition again. I ran the Recovery as laid out in the instructions "Press the "0" key while starting the computer" and get through the majority of the recovery, then it reboots and goes into System configuration. Now it hangs on the configuration part and if it's interupted it disables the "Admin" login and will not recognize any USB devices OR the built in buttons on the laptop.
Any suggestions?

When you say it disabled the Admin login, you mean that the administrative account in Windows is disabled? Have you tried doing the recovery a second time? Maybe it just had a problem the time.

You both say you have the same problem. Can you be a little more specific? Are you using the same laptop model? Where exactly do you run into the problem when doing the recovery?

I have a brand new out of the box iPod Nano 6th generation. It syncs to my Macbook, but the screen has never turned on. Any suggestions?

If that is the case, I would go ahead and return it from the original place of purchase.
