AT MIO-16E-10 card not responding

My LabView test system with this DAQ card, stopped working one day. The program would just hang when started. I checked the hardware through Measurement & Automation Explorer and the card shows up fine. The resources check out with control panel in Windows. But if I try to run the View Resources or Test Panel, Explorer hangs and I have to CTRL-ALT-DEL. In Windows Control Panel, there are no conflicts reported.
Suspecting the card, I removed it and tried it in another computer. No problems, the card works fine when both viewing the resources or running the Test Panel.
It looks like a software problem, but I haven't changed anything on the system and it worked fine before. My NI-DAQ drivers are at 6.9.3f3 and M&AE is 2.20.3010
. The system with problems is Win95.
Any ideas?

Uninstalling and re-installing the driver didn't do it. There was more than one installation of the drivers on the system, so I tried to delete them all. I also remove all NI software from the system to start from scratch, but I still have the same problem.
Before I completely wipe the system and upgrade to Win98, is there any files on the system I should look for multiple copies of that may be causing the problem?

    Hello,
    I'm using a PCI-MIO-16E-4 card with labview7 (in using DAQmx)and I

My problem is: my program can run correctly in low frequency but, it

For verifying my program: I only try to generate and acquire a sweep

  • Can I use multiple PCI-MIO-16E-1 cards under NT 4.0 SR3, LV 5.1, & NI-DAQ 6.5.1?

We have not been able to run multiple AT-MIO-16E-3 cards with NT 4.0, because (partly) the cards & NT are not PNP. Will changing to the PCI-MIO-16E-1 &/or PCI-6071E (64 channel version) allow us to simultaneously run multiple (same type) MIO cards on the same computer? We want to use one card to interface to SCXI, & it appears that the PCI version uses the same cables/connectors as the AT series.

    Hello;
The PCI version of the e-series boards have pretty much the same features of the ISA version, the only difference is the bus.
So, you should be able to use the same acessories as you use with the AT boards.
Anyway, you can still try to install the AT boards with NT. The following link is a good step by step installation guide with some troubleshooting hints also. You just need to select the board and OS you are working at.

  • Equium A100-338 - Flash Card not Responding

Everytime I close down World of Warcraft something pops up in the top left hand corner (looks like it should be a window but only top bar showing) which reads 'Toshiba Flash Card (Not Responding)'. What can I do to stop this from happening?
Im pretty sure it pops up throughout the game as well as I hear a ding.
    I have a Equium A100-338.
    Thanks for any help!

    Hi,
a solution can be disabling the flash card service if you dont need your flash drive.
You can disable it just by following these steps:
    - Go into Start -> settings -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services
    - Make a right click on "Smart Card" and left-click on "Properties"
    - In the window which pops up you have to stop the service and disable it with choosing "Disabled" at the option "Startup Type"
After that your flashdrive service is disabled and you wont get that annoying errormessage anymore.
    (I hope so :O )

  • Toshiba flash card not responding

I have had my laptop for several years and lately I've been frequently getting the pop-up message 'Toshiba flash card not responding'. It's almost impossible to click away this message. I think there's a relationship between this and the fact that Internet Explorer is slow to start up and sometimes stops running for no good reason when I am online.
    How do I fix this?

the toshiba flash cards are the cards that appear at the top of your screen when you rollover it or when you perform a function using the FN button and any of the F keys them not functioning will not cause any problem with your internet explorer but whatever caused the Toshiba flash cards to not work might be making your IE not work

  • Position encoder works with PCI-MIO-16E-4 but not with PCI-6062E, why?

I am using A BNC-2090 to connect Agilent HEDS-6540 position encoder to my PCI-6052E. The application works fine with my 12 bit NI card PCI-MIO-16E-4, But with the new card I get extra counts in my position. ex 1052 pulses when it is only supposed to be 1000 counts in a complete revolution. This setup still works great with the old card, meaning I can just plug into the other card and run the same app on the same computer, just a different device number. I have not been able to figure this out.

You might be seeing the affects of dithing with your signal. I'm not sure why it would be on one board, though not the other, one counter must be more sensitive. Anyway, dithering is caused by vibration or other outside forces that cause small glitches that add to the count total for the counter. There is a way around this, and that is to use a counte convertor. There is a page on this website that tells how to make one. The link is below. I would sugget trying this to see if it will fix the problem.

  • Fastmac wireless card not responding

    Hi all,
I just purchased an 802.11n wireless card for my Mac Pro from FastMac. I've got a 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon machine and am running OS 10.5.8
I used these online instructions to install it. The admin at FastMac emailed and asked me to send the 'hardware overview' info off my System Profiler so that they would be sure to send me the correct card. The card had 3 antennae terminals marked 0, 1 and 2. There were 3 antennae wires in the Mac Pro marked 1, 2, and 3. I hooked wire 1 to terminal 1, wire 2 to terminal 2 and wire 3 to terminal 0. Not sure if this was correct or not. After reboot, I cannot get the card to recognize my airport extreme base station (fig 1). In my network preferences, I disconnected my ethernet connection and made appletalk active in the airport network (fig 2).
If one of the three antennae wires is not seated correctly on the card, would that cause a problem?
    I'm kinda stumped.

Thanks in advance for any input.

  • How do I get an analog output signal from my PCI-MIO-16E-4 card?

I need an analog output from 0-10 V to control the mass range on a mass spectrometer. Do I use the DAC0out channel to do this? The manual only talks about analog out (ao) channels. Is this the same as DAC0out and DAC1out? How do I set up the DAQ assistant for this process? I do not need a waveform, only a constant signal.

Yes indeeded. The DAC0out and DAC1out are the analog output channels (ao0 and ao1).
Simply follow the examples that ship with LabVIEW. You can also easily create code with DAQ assistant.

  • I get error code 200324 with my PCI-MIO-16E-1 card

I use Labview 7 and my A/D card was working until last week. Now I hardly find a PCI slot at my PC that the card doesn't crash my PC, and when I do I get this errod code 20034 from the measurement and automation explorer.
I have tried mounting the card at other pci slots, it didn't work.
the services nidevldu and nipxirmu are running - checked.
Any ideas that could help me?

    Christos,
Aside from the services that you have already checked and they're running, another common cause of this error is needing to reset the DAQ device. After running an example in Traditional NI-DAQ, the board needs to be reset before running an NI-DAQmx example. In MAX, expand Devices and Interfaces. Then right-click on Traditional NI-DAQ Devices and select Reset driver for Traditional NI-DAQ. Hopefully, you will now be able to use the board with NI-DAQmx. Hope this helps. Have a great day!

  • Air Card not responding

My 13 inch 2008 Macbook Pro has decided it does not have an AirCard installed anymore.   Any suggestions?   Still running Snow Leopard on that machine.  Everything else seems ok.   Checked the connections and visually checked.  Nothing obvious.

    Resolved.   Apple replaced under AppleCare.

  • Accurate time stamp PCI-MIO-16E-1

    Hello,
I need measure analogue signal which is acquired after rising edge on TRIG1 is detected. It works well, but time stamp of the waveform's beginning is not very accurate. So I want to ask you about possibilities to increase time precision, because I need repeat this measurement with cca 600Hz frequency.
I have interest about resolution which can be obtained. I use LabView 7.1.
    Thank you for soon answer.
    Martin Stefik

Yes, you understand correctly. Each trigger need own precise time information (hh/mm/ss/ms) or better.
But, I'm not sure that I can acquire both triggered input (let's say AI0) and continuous input (say AI2) on one PCI-MIO-16E-1 card. If it is possible, can you write example for me? This idea is good. I tried to do something similar. But, I'm new in with labview so it stayed without success
    Thanks

  • Need to use AT-MIO-16E-2 to write MX code for PCI-6221 M SERIES that is installed in another system

    Hello to all,
    My Systems:
    System 1
    PCI-6221 M series card
    LabVIEW 7.1 Express
    Code developed using MX environment
    WinXP
    System 2
    AT-MIO-16E-2 Card
    LabVIEW 7.1 Express
So far do not see MX as an option (ran "default" install with this card)
    WinXP
Here is my issue and 2 questions:
I installed a PCI-6221 M series card in a customer's PC. I am running the newest versions of LabVIEW Express (7.1) with WinXP. I used the standard LabVIEW installation to develop their code on that PC, including the M-Series disk. They now have a running application that is not quite complete. That system is in a different state. I need to go there and update some code in a few days, and I would like to develop that code at home, then port it to their machine. I have another computer at home. On it is installed an AT-MIO-16E-2. I have so far ran the standard LabVIEW Express (7.1) development system installation. Of course LabVIEW is smart enough to sense what kind of card I have and installed the appropriate software for that card, which I believe means that MX is NOT installed.
    MY QUESTIONS?
    1. Can I use DAQmx with AT-MIO-16E-2 and then port the code (with minor modifications) to the other machine?
    2. What do I need to manually install on my machine with the AT-MIO-16E-2 card to enable this?
I thought I read that you can run MX on older boards by installing a patch. But I also need to know what software to install from the LabVIEW disks.
Many thanks for all your help,
    Max

    Hi MaxMotion,
Your AT-MIO-16E-2 card is only supported in Traditional NI-DAQ. You can not use DAQmx with that card. When you installed NI-DAQ (7.2 or greater) DAQmx was installed on your machine. The DAQmx VI's should show up in LabVIEW in the "NI Measurements" pallette. You can develop your DAQmx application in the sense that you can build the block diagram. However, you will not be able to run your application on the AT board.

  • Is it possible to start a PCI4472 and a PCI-MIO-16E-1 simultaneously using an analog trigger (with pre-trigger)?

I would like to start several PCI 4472 and a PCI-MIO-16E-1 simultaneously. All boards are connected via a RTSI cable.
My program works fine if I use software trigger, or an analog trigger from a PCI4472 channel. However, the analog trigger works only when I set pre-trigger (or pre-scan) to 0.
Is it possible to start a PCI4472 and a PCI-MIO-16E-1 simultaneously using an analog trigger (with pre-trigger)?
    Thanks.
    Ian Ren

    Hi, Bill
I think it is possible to set more than 38 pre-trigger scans on a single 4472 card. I've done this before. You can verify this by running the Labview example "Acquire N - Multi-Analog Hardware Trig.vi" which comes with LabView.
What I try to do but without success/luck so far is to start data acquisitions of several 4472 cards and a PCI-MIO-16E-1 card using an anlog trigger (with pre-trigger).
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Brandon,
You could find the drivers on http://search.ni.com/query.html?col=alldocs&qp=%2Bcontenttype%3Aknowledgebase+%2Blanguage%3Aenglish&layout=KB&qt=%2Blinux+%2Bdaq
