AT / SKF report on ksu1 or ksv1 cycle

Hi,
In KSU1 or KSV1, we can define var portion type by actual SKF or AT or on plan cycle also.
May I know if there is a report to show the var portion type of distribution or assessment cycle is using AT or SKF?
It is quite difficult to locate the var portion type whether the cycle is using which method.

There are no Standard Reports for that as far as I know.
Either you have to write the Query from Tables or You have to buildup a Z Program for it

You could add a unjion into the data source so that it always returns a dummy row for each category.

SKF and AT cost element in cycle

Hi all,
Activity type cost element maintained in KL01.
SKF cost element not in KK01 but base on cost element in cycle.
Now, in cycle, let say, the tracing factor is using activity type, then system to use which cost element?
Say, in KL01, the cost element is 610000 whereas in cycle the cost element is 610020.
So now, system to use which cost element?

Transport tequest not getting deactivated for tcode ksu1 & ksv1 in sandbox

my requirement is to deactivate transport request for tcode ksu1 & ksv1 in sandbox. i applied SAP NOTE 326080 in sandbox. but still getting transport request for the tcode ksu1 & ksv1.
please tell me how to resolve this issue.

Seems like the note you implemented activated the checkbox "Current Setting" in Transaction Code SOBJ for object such as CPC1 I would suggest you to go verify that (if the check box is active) if you look in the field 'Transport' above it, it says "Automatic Transport" and that check box means
Flag: Object belongs to current settings
Indicates that the current settings in the production system could entail changes
for the object involved.
Use
SAP determines the number of client-specific Customizing objects that belong
to the current settings.
Dependencies
The flag is only relevant in a production client ("productive" role in the client table).
Even if changes to client-specific objects are not allowed, the current setting can
be changed in a production client without being recorded automatically.
Since the very purpose of the note you implemented is to test KSU1 to able to run (for a non-modifiable system which is production type system) you have to make your sand box behave like production. So, my suggestion would be go to SCC4 and change the Client role to "Production" don't do any other changes, then ask your Costing consultant to test KSU1 and KSV1 transactions and as soon as he tests if it's working fine, revert the Client role to whatever it was.

Sharepoint 2013 Reporting Services & OLAP Cubes for Data Modeling.

I've been using PowerPivot & PowerView in Excel 2013 Pro for some time now so am now eager to get set up with Sharepoint 2013 Reporting Services.
Before set up Reporting Services I have just one question to resolve.
What are the benefits/differences of using a normal flat table set up, compared to an OLAP cube?
Should I base my Data Model on an OLAP Cube or just Connect to tables in my SQL 2012 database?
I realize that OLAP Cubes aggregate data making it faster to return results, but am unclear if this is needed with Data Modeling for Sharepoint 2013.

So yes, PV is an in-memory cube. When data is loaded from the data source, it's cached in memory, and stored (compressed) in the Excel file. (also, same concept for SSAS Tabular mode... loads from source, cached in mem, but also stored (compressed) in data
files, in the event that the server reboots, or something similar).
As far as performance, tabular uses memory, but has a shorter load process (no ETL, no cube processing)... OLAP/MDX uses less memory, by requiring ETL and cube processing... technically tabular uses column compression, so the memory consumption will be based
on the type of data (numeric data is GREAT, text not as much)... but the decision to use OLAP (MDX)/TAB (DAX) is just dependent on the type of load and your needs... both platforms CAN do realtime queries (ROLAP in multidimensional, or DirectQuery for tabular),
or can use their processed/in-memory cache (MOLAP in multidimensional, xVelocity for tabular) to process queries.
if you have a cube, there's no need to reinvent the wheel (especially since there's no way to convert/import the BIDS/SSDT project from MDX to DAX). If you have SSAS 2012 SP1 CU4 or later, you can connect PV (from Excel OR from within SP) directly to the
MDX cube.
Generally, the benefit of PP is for the power users who can build models quickly and easily (without needing to talk to the BI dept)... SharePoint lets those people share the reports with a team... if it's worthy of including in an enterprise warehouse,
it gets handed off to the BI folks who vet the process and calculations... but by that time, the business has received value from the self-service (Excel) and team (SharePoint) analytics... and the BI team has less effort since the PP model includes data sources
and calculations - aside from verifying the sources and calculations, BI can just port the effort into the existing enterprise ETL / warehouse / cubes / reports... shorter dev cycle.

Assessment Cycle for Planned Cost

Hi,
I have production cost centers and dept cost centers for which cost center planning has been maintained in KP06. I have maintained assessment cycle for planned costs with planned skf. When I run the cycle, system is apportioning the costs based on the factors maintained.
However on execution, without test tun, the system is posting the costs to the receiver cost centers as Actual Costs and not Planned Costs..
Can anyone tell me what is the reason?

Have you created ur assessment cycle in T.Code: S_ALR_87005540 - Define Assessment for Plan cost (or) S_ALR_87005742 - Define Assessment for Actual cost. Assessment cycle execution t.code. KSUB for Plant cost posting. and KSU5 for actual cost posting.
If you define cycle in S_ALR_87005540, Please check have u select Plan (or) Actual Radio button

SKF for Progress Analysis

Hi,
I have successfully run progress analysis using Estimate method . As my understanding after I run CNE1, system will record POC that I maintained in Estimate table into SKF. Which report I can use to see this SKF value ?
I have checked all SKF report in PS and even in Cost Center Accounting, but the report has no data.

Crystal Reports - scheduling best practice

Hello,
I would like to get some clarity on the best practice for scheduling Crystal Reports in a managed life cycle model. We are on XI 3.1 SP3.
We have public reports that are scheduled as recurring instances for different daily/monthly reports. Is it ideal that power-users schedule these reports in DEV and then when we move over objects to PROD have the schedule settings carried over? This way in PROD the same reports will have preserved schedule settings. However, what I would like to know is that for this to work I will need to migrate historical instances via Import Wizard which also would bring over any historical instances (with static Dev data) to Prod.
The other option is to move over just the report objects (schedule settings come over automatically) without the instances, which would mean users will have to set up similar recurring schedules in PROD again?

@Guru - so in that case what would the plan be for any future migration that happen from Dev to Prod for the same report(s)? When future migrations overwrite a report object, will the recurring schedule set up in Prod get affected, possibly disappear? Also, how would you recommend handling a situation where the same report has different scheduling properties in both environments -- how to avoid overwriting of schedule properties in Prod with those from Dev when migration the Crystal Report obejcts?

How small Standard Cycle time can be defined in OEE standard?

There's OEE standard definition in MII and it allows to define standard cycle time.
I'd like to know how small Standard Cycle time can be defined in OEE standard?
In my customer case, their product is very small and SFC size will be over than 10,000.
(Please imagine screw.)
This screw's required process time at resource A is 0.72 seconds.
Then, they defined the standard cycle time as 0.0002 hour.
0.72 / 3600 = 0.0002
Does OEE report allows such small standard cycle time?
If not, how we can define OEE standard and use OEE report functionality?

Main question here is: does business want to keep those members as separate members or it wants to merge them.
If they want to keep them as separate then you have to come up with a better conversion procedure.
If they want to merge them then you have to find out how to find another member to merge with.
You should also implement same procedure when you are going to load Transaction data.

T400s Hard Drive Clicking - Load/unload cycle count SMART Attribute decreasing very quickly

Hi,
I get a T400s 2808 CVG. I degrade to XP Pro SP3.
The Hard-drive is Toshiba MK2529CSG.
I experience Hardrive clicking (or ticking) when the hard drive is idle. Forcing the drive to be busy silences the ticking sound.
On the other hand I get the issue that "Load unload cycle count" SMART attribute is decreasing very quickly. I loose 1 point each 4 or 5 days.
I also make a little test to check the correlation between the reported number of load unload cycle count and the ticking sound.
Postive. Each time I hear the tick, each time the SMART attribute report one more Load/unload cycle count.
Any one get the same issue?
Any solution?

Difference between SKFs for Cost Centers and Profit Centers

Dear All,
Three cost centers A,B and C have two profit centers say X and Y assigned. When we run SKFs report for Cost Centers - S_ALR_87013645 total for all the Cost centers is say 30 (81210). When I run the report S_ALR_87013342 for Profit Centers SKF break down total is 30. However break up is not matching. Cost Center A and B have Profit Center X and C has Profit Center Y. Ideally in PCs break down for SKFs must be X = 20 and Y=10. However this is not the case. Total is tallying but the break up is not tallying. Y has total of say 25.
Cost Center C has profit center assignment changed in the middle of the year. Is the difference because of changing the PC assignment to CC in the middle of the year/in between? Do we need to adjust the SKF numbers for incorrect PCs in 9KE5?
Is there any other way to correct the difference instead of posting in 9KE5? Please help.

How do I solve ?memory issues with RTFObj.u32

I am currently developing an interactive data analysis & reporting package to handle the results from an AW assessment program.
Using RTFObj.u32, I can save an assessment report for each candidate that contains a runtime-generated score distribution graphic + a certificate graphic together with some text, amounting to one A4 page of output. The graphics are displayed on screen then captured into temporary files which are embedded into the rtf script template file (myCandFile in the script below)
I use the sequence of code, each line in a separate calc, summarised as follows:

When I place this in a loop, it works fine and produces individual files with embedded graphics for up to around 190 candidates but will not produce any further files for larger cohorts and rtfShow() fails at this number. This maximum number does not seem to change even if I group the candidate pages into batches of 10 which produces only 19 rtf files, each with 10 candidate reports, rtfShow then fails at cycle 19.
Reducing the number of calls to rtfCreate() has no effect
Reducing the dimensions of rtfCreate() has no effect.
Reducing the content of each rtf file has no effect.
Removing the page breaks in the rtf files has no effect
The AW nested code loop continues to more than 400 records without apparent limit and graph plots continue to appear on screen to the end of the candidate listing. Once the limit of 190 candidates has been reached, no more rtf files can be generated from anywhere else in the program and rtfOBJ.u32 appears to have failed without any warning messages.
From these observations, I'm not sure what controls the limit.
So what stops rtfObj.u32 from functioning? It would appear that rtfObj.u32 does not release the memory used to create the rtf file when rtfErase() is called. One might think that the limit may be related to the total number of characters handled by rtfObj.u32 in any one AW session, however reducing the rtf file size for each candidate by taking out one of the graphics has no effect on the number produced.
In another area of the program I can successfully save 5 rtf files of 28Mb each with rtfOBJ.U32 failing on the 6th.
Any ideas?
If it is a memory limitation of rtfOBJ.U32, is there any method for getting around it by allocating memory for rtfCreate() and releasing the memory when rtfErase() is called. Is there any way of unloading rtfObj.u32 then reloading it from code within an AW piece?

This sounds very similar to a problem we had a few years with our Rtf files in Authorware 6.5
If your getting the error on loop 190, do you have numerous Rtf calls in a single loop? Check the value of the variable RtfCreate contains when the problem occurs: is it positive or negative?
The highest number you can record in 16 bits is 32767. When creating a new Rtf, Authorware increments the pointer by one each time. However, when it reaches 32767, the pointer then changes to negative 32768, then -32767, -32766 etc. Running in batches won't help, the pointer is reset to zero only when you quit Authorware.
We solved the problem as follows:-

The show rtf call now carries on incrementing after 32767, so next Rtf show is positive 32768 ... & surprisingly Authorware shows correct Rtf
After -32768, the Create routine will eventually get the pointer down to minus one, zwero and then turn positive ... but happens again next time it passes 32767.
I don't recall how high we tested Show Rtf up to but we took it past 131,072

Sounds like it is more an issue of connecting to the internet. Not just the WiFi Some people have reported that performing a power cycle on their Internet router solved this.

Mail not working correctly after being opened by another App

So I first noticed this issue when I went to send some photos from Aperture, once I had hit send in the new message window the main screen of Mail appeared to be fine but I was unable to click on anything other than the menu bar, not only that, the message I had successfully sent was nowhere to be found in my sent box. It might be worth noting that I had first tried this after upgrading my MacBook with Crucial RAM and a Seagate Momentus XT HD. But since this I have tried everything:
First, I repaired disk permissions and checked all the preferences.
Second, seeing as I had previously recovered my old HD to my new one via Time Machine, and due to other issues, I though there might have been a corruption in the backup so I took the time to Clean install (where Lion was re-downloaded too), setup as new, and even create a new Aperture library.
Finally, I have reset the PRAM and attempted an Apple Hardware Test, which led me to another concern as on 3 occasions when starting up and holding down D it had a think about it but went to OS X and did not connect to the Apple servers for the AHT (as I have a Lion pre-installed Mac this should work?)
I have since checked out other things and have found that this issue also happens when sharing a contact from the Address Book but NOT when sharing a document from iWork. I have also noticed that Mail is still controllable from the keyboard when locked out from the mouse.
This isn't all I use my Mac for and isn't massively important but I'll be damned if I don't find out why only my Mac does this!
Please can anyone shed some more light onto what is causing this?
And why can't I perform a hardware test?

In testing, i press the submit by email button, it is emailed to the specified person, however they are not able to see the form.
