AT&T itunes plays well on ipad, not on Apple TV

Have AT&T U Verse package, best available internet speed.
on my home network, for some reason, evenings and weekends, downloads will take extremely long times on apple TV. On my iPad, or Apple Pro, download and play starts within seconds (same HD settings).
I've tried restoring the apple TV to factory, worked for a few days, then started again.
I've tried many different settings adjustments to wifi (changed channels, reset the broadband, reset the wifi modem, created a new network with new password)
The location of the Apple TV and iPad has been within inches of each other and had the same result, and i've tried relocating the apple TV just in case it happened to be sitting in a noise, or weak signal spot.
I've purchased a wifi extender (Linksys), Verified other devices can work perfectly well when connected directly to it with a Cat5 cable, but same slow downloading issue on the Apple TV.
I've suspected that it was the apple TV device itself, but I have a second one, and a third one that has the SAME issue.
I've suspected it was something with Wifi, so during those same hours, i've disconnected/unplugged every other wifi device in the house other than the apple TV, and connected it directly to the U Verse modem, and STILL had the same problem.
I'm at my wits end on how to resolve this.

If you had a power surge, your Apple TV probably just needs to be restored. That logo means you need to plug it into a computer with iTunes installed to restore the device to factory settings. You'll need a micro-USB cable to do so. Plug the usb into the apple tv in the micro-USB slot, then into the computer with iTunes already opened. A screen will appear in iTunes with a button to restore the device.
If you don't have the appropriate cable on hand you can make an appointment at an Apple Store and they'll restore it for you. Just go to locate.apple.com to find the closest location and make an appointment. Keep in mind if you can't or don't go to an Apple Store a private repair place may charge for this service.

I have also had the same problem...
The songs appear to be random, and when I plug my iPod into the computer it is fixed. Sure enough, a monthish later, it happens again.
When my songs get cut off, they are stopped exactly half-way through. Apparently, the iPod thinks that is how long they are, because it plays the time that it shows (the total time only goes to helf of what it normally is).
This does not seem to be a matter of old software, as I am always up-to-date on iPod software, and this has been happening to me with version 1.4.1
I have not Restored my iPod, but apparently that will not help (according to the other posts).
I hope somebody can answer this (although I've posted it twice before with no luck, so...)

Resolution

I used itunes to sync new ipad, not everything came over

I used itunes to sync between my mac and a new ipad. My old ipad had a few playlists with the media to play them. I also had been using itunes with this older ipad so I thought that these playlists and media would come over the new ipad after syncing it. They didn't, nor did the media to play them. How can I bring these playlists and media into the new ipad?

Did you select the playlists to sync in the music pane of iTunes? They must be selected to sync to the device. I'm not sure that I know what you mean when are talking about the media to play the songs. You have to sync the songs to the iPad as well and then you play the songs in the music app on the iPad.

I can't find a simple answer to this question from Apples flashy "documentation" or from any online straighforward guides.
There is an app called "Articulate Mobile Player" that we want to deploy to our fleet of iPads. These iPads do not have Apple IDs/iTunes Accounts configured for them to access the iTunes store.
We have access to the Apple Configurator for Windows and Trend Micro MDM (Mobile Security and App Management for BYOD).
From what I can ascertain perhaps we need to create VPP account, "purchase" the free app required to gain access to the .IPA file, then either use our MDM solution or Configurator to place the app on devices.
Will we then need an Apple ID/iTunes Account to use the App?
Is there further requirements such as certificates and such? The iPads are configured to use the Trend MDM for app deployment as far as I am aware.
Thanks for the help and hopefully prompt response on exactly what is required for what is a really simple requirement and should not be this complicated.

It's not IP address, it's your Apple ID (which is I think always an email address). HT4098 just says you can't cancel on AppleTV - you need to sign in to the store on your computer or iPhone or iPad. So as long as you can sign in to the store, just follow the steps for turning off auto renewal in that article.

Animation does not play well on iPad

Hi,
I finally was able to get the animation I want in Keynote on my Mac Pro.
Everything works fine and smooth. Animation starts after about 2 sec.
Then I export it via iTunes. The mov file I move to my iPad 2, where I have Keynotes installed as well.
The .mov file is somewhere in the middle.
First problem: it takes almost 10 sec (far tooo long) to start the action= animation.
Several times it happen, that only the beginning of the animation is shown, then it goes to the next slide.
It looks like a very hi resolution viedeo shown on a very slow computer.
All other slides work well, about 9 of them are mov files... well... m4v to be exact.
Now I am not sure... if I had to transcode that file in compressor.... I tried several different outputs, some iPad did not accept, so I had to transcode them to Apple TV format.
The setting is "Tab screen" to advance, not transition.
What am I doing wrong?
Kind of embarrasing, when it takes so long to start action!
Also I saw somehow an option in iPad "Play movie"
I have quite a few video files in there, but none play by themself.
I have to tab the screen again to make them play.
Can they be set to automatic play, when the slide opens?

I have had the same problem earlier and it all came down to the fact that the laptop simply wasn't powerful enough to play the content.
If it's due to the latptop not being powerful enough then the only thing you can do really is to reduce your project - either in quality (slide quality) - or in number of slides.

ITunes U content from iPad not syncing to iTunes

I have a couple of iTunes U courses on my iPad (downloaded using my iPad) which I couldn't transfer to my iTunes library during normal sync. The iTunes ID I used for downloading is the same iTunes ID that is authorized on my Mac mini iTunes.
Why doesn't iTunes transfer these purchases back to the iTunes library?

It should be able to copy any photos that you have in the Photos app - it sees all the albums and the photos that I've synced from my computer, as well as the photos that I've taken with the iPad and copied to via the camera kit and saved from emails.
When you open the app you should be given a URL to type in on a browser on your computer - that should then allow you to select an album, and then one or more photos within that album to copy to your computer

I'm looking to buy my 10 year old, Spielberg obsessed, movie maker/director a camera for Christmas. I want something that she can use with my iPad or iMac with iMovie. She's fairly tech savvy and focused. Not sure what I will spend, but I'm keeping in mind that this is a ten year old. Honestly, she'd be happy with an old super 8 if I could figure out how to edit something like that. She just loves writing, directing and shooting stories. Thanks for your recommendations.

The only way I can use my camcorders with iMovie for iPad involves downloading from camcorder to Mac and then syncing the clips to iPad. Perhaps there is a more direct way, but I cannot find one. Moving the clips to iPad for editing in iMovie for iPad seems like wasted effort to me to be no need to do that because my Mac already has iMovie for editing video clips, and Mac iMovie is easier to use for more complex edits.
The only reason I now use my iMovie for iPad is to edit clips that I record directly on my iPad. That works fine. If your iPad is iPad II or later, just letting her record directly to iPad with iMovie for iPad may be a good choice unless you KNOW you want her to have a separate camcorder.

Movies (.m4v files) that play great my Mac, not on Apple TV

I have some movies (.m4v files) that play great through iTunes on my Mac, I sync them to my Apple TV (original version), and I see them in My Movies. I try to play them but they stop after a few seconds and the Apple TV gets frozen. MP4 file types play fine as do movies purchased from iTunes. Any suggestions?

the files might be slightly out of spec for the appletv (the rule is just because something plays in itunes does not automatically make them appletv compatible).
you'll need to post more specific info about the files before a more detailed explanation can be made.

Make sure your iTunes version is version 12. if it is and still doesn't work, reinstall itunes from this installer: iTunes
Make sure you have a Time Machine backup, but you shouldn't lose your library by reinstalling iTunes.
