AT&T Navigator app refuses registration

I downloaded ATT Navigator to my iPhone 3gs via iTunes Applications. When I opened the app, A registration window opened asking for the following: Phone no., First and last name, and E-mail. I entered the correct data but when I hit Register, I got an error message: "Incorrect e-mail address". I deleted the app and reinstalled it as well as tried registering with and without the iPhone connected to my Mac In all cases, got the same error message.
Anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this? I do not want to do a reset as I will lose all my settings. When I access iTunes, my correct e-mail address is shown. Is my e-mail address stored somewhere within the iPhone - perhaps that's where the error is?

Of course, it also depends on how much the Tomtom app costs, too.
Actually used it quite a bit on the old phone, travel a lot and it saved me from having to drag a regualr GPS around or include one on the rental car.
It galled me to have to pay for both data services and GPS services, but at least the company picked up the cost.
I believe the Navigon version is out in Europe - seen a mention of around 80.00 US for the maps

    I would like to add I might have the problem solved.
    I found an older Windows forum from 2009 where another person had a similar problem and it was suggested to use the add 'local printer'. Of course, the wizard set it up so not sure what it did but I did what they suggested and the scanner finally works. 
    Also, when I went to print something, the preview picture came up and the door to the printer popped open but one of my ink cartridges is out so it couldn't print.....bummer.
    At least I never got the 'driver not installed correctly' message.
    As soon as I get a chance to get some more ink and try it, I'll post the results.

    When my iPod 4th Generation runs out of power and shuts off, giving me the signal to plug it in to charge, some apps refuse to work. For example, I open up an app, and it immediately closes. Is this because there are some apps from another account on the iDevice?

    The account has nothing to do with it.
    Try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset. Nothing is lost
    Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod
    if still problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

    I started off with a droid 2 before I got my iphone 4.  The droid 2 gps was phenomenal, I had no problems with it.  Then I got an iphone which I assumed was going to be just as good if not better than the droid's gps.  Boy was I wrong!  The "Maps" app that came with the iphone did not re-route itself EVER when I was in a big city and I ened up getting lost.
    So one of my friends downloaded the "Waze" app, which is ok.  I mean it does work it's still not the greatest.  My issue with that one is that it doesn't say "take next right exit 172B" it just says, "turn right here."
    Now it's very possible that *I* am the one doing something wrong, I tried going through the settings but I still couldn't figure it out.  Can someone please help me? 

    The store category "Navigation" has a ton more than 10 apps in it, but they are geared toward a great many different things - from geocaching, to hiking, sailing, driving, orienteering, finding your parked car,....
    If you want to search, you need to search for something more specific, like "road navigation" or "street navigation"
    I know in there you should find Garmin, TomTom, MotionXGPS Drive, Verizons nav app (requires a subscrition added to your plan), AT&T Navigation app (also, needs service added to plan), and several others.
    Most of the top sellers and best rated will be right there on the first screen if you go to categories - Navigation

  • How do I get a navigation app to work through my bluetooth?

    I have a new iPhone 4S and want to use a Navigation App to help me find my way around.  If the Mapquest is running and the radio is on, I can't hear the directions.  The only way I could get it to work is to turn Siri on so the nav plays through the car's bluetooth but then you can make a call us use the phone for anything else.  Am I missing something here?

    only bluetooth headset which support the a2dp profile can play music and game sounds
    the wast mayority of those are stereo and it's not a ios thing it's like that with all smartphones, pda's and tablets

  • Just upgraded my Cannon MP Navigator App for my multi-purpose printer/scanner not working correctlly

    After upgrading to Yosemite MP Navigator App for my Cannon scanner not working properly, Buttons are not active and do not respond .... it works on my laptop with Mavericks ... I will be reverting back to Mavericks .. I use my Scanner a lot . Apple please fix this problem.

    I have the same problem with a Canon MP530 under Yosemite. I'm not sure why Canon can't get their act together to have updated drivers and software. Very aggravating.
    I can confirm that pmt513's workaround works. That's fine for single pages. But what about batch scanning?
    Here's another partial workaround. The main MP Navigator interface still allows you to do the scanning, both single pages and batches. You just can't save, send, or export those scans. But the temporary files are on your disk in TIF format. If you don't mind taking those and converting them to PDF or JPG (which you can do in Preview), then just look in the following folder to the files:
    ~/Library/Caches/Temporaryitems/MP Navigator 2.2/SCN_MFP
    I have put an alias to it on my desktop so that I can easily access the scans. Be sure to copy the TIF files out before you close (and thus clear) the MP Navigator window as that also clears the files from that cache folder.
    I hope this helps some of you.

    In my user account, all java apps now refuse to accept double-byte characters (Chinese, Japanese, etc). I have another clean account, and that one works fine.
    Things I tried doing:
    * repair permissions
    * search/delete .plist files with java as a part of the name
    * search/detete .plist file that has to do with TCIM, input method
    Nothing worked…

    Well, there is no guarantee that you can detect double-byte characters. However if you believe strongly that a file DOES contain double-byte characters, written in big-endian or little-endian format, then you can look at the first two bytes of the file:
    FFFE big-endian.
    FEFF little-endian.
    Code tip: Open the file as a FileInputStream, then wrap it in a PushbackInputStream. This allows you to read the first two bytes (so you can examine them), and push them back. If you find the expected encoding, then you can wrap the PushbackInputStream in an InputStreamReader, specifying the appropriate (big-endian or little-endian) decoding.
    Setup tip: I believe the decoding will only work if you have internationalization set up do this by copying i18n.jar from the lib directory (of the JRE) to the extension directory (of the JRE).

  • Why does Siri and bluetooth kill navigation apps?

    I thought Siri was very cool until I tried to make a bluetooth call while driving and using naviagtion apps.  Siri kills the app, has a hard time knowing what I want when I state it clearly, then does not resume the navigation app.  Voice control doesn't kill the app and understands who I want to call MUCH better.  I have since killed Siri and really dont miss it at all.  Does anyone else have the same issues?

    There are a couple of discussion threads about this problem but unfortunately at present there doesn't appear to be a fix. Siri is still in beta so it's possible a patch may come with an update. You may want to take a look at this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/message/16433440#16433440. You may also consider contacting your provider for your in car Bluetooth system but as Siri is so new, a fix maybe some time away.

    This forum is ridiculous.  I have a simple question but have to jump thru hoops just to put it up.  my local app and my navigator app has disappeared from all our droid phones.  whats up with that?

    The VZW navigator app or the Google Maps and Navigation app?
    Google released a version of Maps and incorporated their Navigation app into the main Maps application.
    Not sure about the VZW navigator app though.
    Both application have had recent discussions created about them and could have been located through a search of the community forum.

    Sorry. That wasn't clear to me in you post.
    Did you sign out of the account, restart and then sign in again as suggested. All that you said was the reboot didn't work. You didn't mention that you did sign out. That might be what makes this work.
    Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart and then sign in again.
    Did you do it that way?

    With my android phone I've used Google maps and Scout.  I can't find one for the Windows phone.

    There must be an option to make the Audi completely forget the phone, as well as removing the car from the list of known bluetooth devices on the phone, then start the pairing again. It is unclear from your previous post if this has been tried already? (Re-pairing can be interpreted in different ways).
    I am puzzled why it would work on one phone and not the other similar phone.

    I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong category.I am in the market for a navigation app. There are so many navigation app out there so I do not know which one to choose.  Which app(s) or developer(s) do you think is the best?  I would like to get one where it will download the whole United States (or part of it) on my phone so I do not use up data.  If you think an app is great even if I have to use my data, please let me know too.  I really appreciate any help this community could give me.  Thanks.....
