At the end of my os x lion download a window popped up saying i needed to check internet connection.
it said to check my internet and try again. i connected my computer directly to the ethernet cable and retried and it didnt work. I restarted my computer and now it says it was downloaded in the apple store app but its still the old os x 10.6.8. what do i do!?

Possibly there's a firewall in the router. For reasons that I do not understand, that will affect IOS (iPod/iPad) communication but will not affect computers or other devices.
You will need administrative access to the router. If a firewall is present, turn it off and test the iPod again. If it works, turn the firewall back on but weaken it a notch and test the iPod again. Repeat as required. -
I have Win Vista. After I upgraded Firefox to 8.0 a window is popping up and continually saying Firefox needs the computer to restart to finalize installation. I've done the restart when prompted - the next time I start up the computer it does it again, same message.
Just went down this road. Bought two new iPhones last week, one is having this same problem. No help from the store, no help from apple. Re-setting, re-booting, updating, all did nothing. Time to move away from apple. When you have to go through as much as we did to try to solve such a very simple issue, after paying so much money, it's definitely time to try a different product. Apple charges a fortune, yet they provide the same ridiculous service as everyone else. Why get hosed?

My mail won't upload, update its tilling me to chick the settings witch I have done. I don't know what too do to fix this problem I know I have new mail as its coming up on my phone and if I open mail on other computers. But for some reson in the last few weeks it won't retrieve new mail on iPad
First thing to do is to try a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 second until you see the Apple logo. -
I need to have endnotes at the end with sections and numbering beginning again for each section. I also need to be able to write Chapter #s above each section of endnotes. How do I do this, please?
I have precisely the same problem and am wondering if anyone has found a workaround for what seems to be a bug or an unattended issue in Pages. Hopefully the next update (whenever it arrives, I hope it arrives soon) will take care of this.

2 days ago i rented The Avengers, beside it took almost 7h to download, at the end it did not get fully downloaded... 20 last minutes were not there. Apple's policy on sales of digital content is that all sales are final. If however you wish to appeal to Apple, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History on your computer.
Currently, if your purchase happens to be your most recent purchase you will not be redirected to the report form, in this case use the report a problem option from the invoice that was emailed to you.
I believe your issues are probably a network issue, which unless you resolve are likely to be repeated again. -

Nobody from Apple answers any questions here other than those that go longer than 24 hours without a response and all that those Apple people do is to direct users to kb articles that might help in given situations. It pretty much ends there. So don't expect "Apple" to hear your pleas.
if you want help from Apple, make an appointment at an Apple store and see if they can diagnose the problem for you. The only other thing that I could suggest is to connect your iPad to another computer running iTunes. If iTunes sees the iPad, then the issue is on your computer somewhere. If you try this, you want to turn off auto sync on the other computer. Launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices>Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically. -
i tried to open my adobe illustrator and this window popped up saying my trial had ended. i was not using a trial version, i have been paying monthly. so i went into my account online and my account still reads that my plan is active and will be until March 11, 2015. can you please tell me what the issue is and what i need to do to fix the problem.

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair".

Hopefully this will help you. Try placing your iPad in recovery mode again. You may have to try this a few times.

What version of iTunes are you using? An .itl file is something that Windows uses, or very old versions of iTunes on Mac. The library file on Macs is now .xml and has been since late iTunes 4.
Is iTunes running ok without any problems after you OK that message? If it is, then you may be able to ignore it if you can't account for why you're getting it. But make sure you take backups in case something happens in the future. -
I have photoshop CS4 with the newest update. I'm a photographer and just purchased the new canon 7d mk II. Today, I shot some photos on raw but am unable to pull them up in photoshop. A window pops up saying "photoshop cannot recognize this type of file. The thumbnails are white with a blue and white CR2 on them. Please help.

The problem is that your new camera is supported by ACR 8.7 and only Photoshop CS6 and up supports this version.
So if you do not want to buy CS6 or subscribe to the $10/month Photography Program, you have to convert the CR2 files to DNG to work on them. Your original CR2s are untouched in the process, you just can't directly edit them in CS4, only the DNGs.
Maybe Canon offers editing software for their CR2s, but CS4 is not going to be updated and there is no way around that.
It's not what you want to hear, but that's the situation so far.
Maybe Elements or Lightroom has updated raw support for your camera, so I encourage you to visit those forums and ask.
