At the top of the page where it says Mozilla firefox, it changes into chinese!
Ever so often the page header changes into Chinese or Japanese, and then I have to close out Mozilla and reopen again. Why is this happening?
Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F).
You see the orange Firefox button when the menu bar is hidden
*In current Firefox versions it is possible to hide the "Menu Bar" via "View > Toolbars" or via the right-click context menu of a toolbar to make the (orange) Firefox button appear.
*Tap the Alt key or press the F10 key to bring up the menu bar temporarily if you need to access a menu on it.
*Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the menu bar or empty space on the tab bar to select which toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to toggle the state).

Before the recent updates to Firefox, when I would go to another page in the same window and then clickon the back button, Firefox used to bring me back to the same place on the page where I had been, but now it brings me to the top of the page, meaning that I have to laboriously scroll down to the old place. How do I restore the previous feature?
That change was made in Firefox 4, 6 months ago.

If I am browsing on site such as Ebay or any shopping site and click on an item, when I return to the search page I am once again at the top of the page and have to search down for where I was in the list of items. This is not only on Ebay it is everywhere I search. Firefox goes back to the top of the page . It is annoying to have to figure out exactly where I was if I left the page and then returned. This is a hinderance when using Firefox. I have considered uninstalling it because of the inconvenience of 're-searching' after already doing a search. Firefox used to take me right back to where I was if I left a page, but that feature is not working now. I am not sure how to change this in the settings.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test. -

When two finger scrolling in Safari, it resets itself to the top of the web page - not where I stopped.

Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.

There is no blinking curser in the rectangle where you type in what you want to search for. If you begin to type, the entire rectangle will move from the center of the page to the top. You can continue to type what you want to, and it will work. How do I get the curser back and stop the rectangle from moving to the top of the page.

I have recently updated firefox. On the old version I had all quick links at the top of the page to BBC, Yahoo mail, facebook, etc. I cant seem to get them now. Also when I used to load up hotmail etc the log on details where saved. I cant get this to do this now. Im not very good with computer language so can someone explain this to me please, in simple english?Check that you still have the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" placed on the Bookmarks Toolbar

I am trying to authorize a computer. But I can't locate the"authorized this computer" on the iTunes store menu. I can't find it under any topics across the menu bar at the top of the page. Can anyone help me find it? Thanks.
It should be on the Store drop-down menu at the top of iTunes (if you are using iTunes 11 on a PC then try pressing Alt-S and see if it appears) e.g. (screenshot is from iTunes on a Mac)

I just got a new Mac Mini with Lion - the Window tab at the top of the Safari Browser used to ahve a downloads folder in it along with Activity etc - but it is not there anymore. Any way to get it back or is there another location it sits in? I used it when I'd copy video info from the activity folder and then paste into the download folder and presto - I downloaded the video onto my computer. I really miss this capability!

When returning to a google search, Firefox takes me to the top of the page
I use Firefox exclusively as my browser. I also use Google as my default home page. I execute a google search, and am presented with a list of several pages of web sites. As I work my way through each of these sites, I wish to return to my search results and select the next item listed. When doing so, Firefox always returns me to the top of the list. I must then page down through the list and remember where I left off and select the next search item. Can this be fixed? Are my settings wrong? How can I prevent this?

When I click on a link it moves to the top of the page
I am new to this forum and fairly new to dreamweaver so I hope this isn't a silly question. I am designing a large number of web pages which will only be viewed on the C:\ drive and not posted on a server.
I have inserted hyperlinks on the index page linking to other pages in the same folder. I am using a css sheet to define each of the links.
Now to the problem. When I preview the index page in internet explorer and I click on a link the link works but the actual link itself moves to the top left corner of the index page.

You have the body tag, followed by oodles of absolutely positioned elements, followed by naked links with a spurious </p> tag at the end. Not only are you not allowed to have naked links on the page (they must be contained in something like a <p>, or a <td>, or a <li>, etc.) but since the content above the links is entirely composed of absolutely positioned elements (which are removed from the normal flow), the links are exactly where they should be - at the top of the page. There is nothing in your layout that would place them anywhere else. -
Downloaded latest version of safari and it wont open properly only the top of the page open???
i was running safari on my ibook and all of a sudden it stoped working it wouldnt load the page only the top of the page would load. so i went to firefox but when i stream videos of firefox they always seem to be jumpy. so i have recently downloaded the latest safari again and i am still having the same problem as before where only the top of the page ill load?? i have the latest updates of osx 10.5.8. i believe its something to do with my computer???

How do I get my menu bar at the top of the page with no gaps?
How do I get my menu bar at the top of the page with no gaps? Whenever I move it there is a huge gap at the top of the page which I cant seem to get rid of, i posted about this before but none of the suggestions seemed to work for me. i'm not very good with css so im not really sure where to find the problem. There are generally gaps everywhere which looks at absolute mess, no clue how they got there and why, there is a huge gap underneath my menu bar too which wasnt there before. how do i get rid of this too? its probably some padding a or margin but no clue where.
