there is a question mark at the top of each window inside the grey header. when i click it says finder. what do i do?

You can drag a document, folder, etc. there so you can have easy access to it from every Finder window. If this item no longer exists it will turn into a question mark. Maybe you inadvertently dragged a folder or document up there some time ago...

I found the driver at the above link. I installed the driver, disabled my graphics card and rebooted. The touchscreen worked. Then I enabled the graphics card. So far so good. Hope I dont have to do this routine too often.

Is there a reason you don't want to update your plugins? Specifically your Adobe Flash and Adobe Reader are VERY old and leaving gaping security holes in your computer. Updating them is fast and easy and will not just remove the message but will leave you more secure.

Basically, all you have to do is update the Application Manager (if your installation was like mine, I was still on v.6... it's up to v.9 now. Go here for the update: Adobe - Adobe Application Manager : For Macintosh : Adobe Application Manager and run it... when done, launch Photoshop and check for updates.
This is amazingly idiotic, I must add -- how does App Manager NOT update itself through the update process???

New lap top running windows 8,1. PS cc 2014 will not display in a font size that can be read,WHATEVER I DO

Been running PS CC 2014 on Windows 7 - no problems. Just installed on lap top running windows 8.1 and the font size is so tiny it can't be read. Options in computer settings don't make any improvement. I am unable to use PS at all.

SetCursor use for multiple top level windows (JFrame)

I have an application with many top level windows, most of which are running under a single
thread. I'm trying to implement a class to toggle the cursor (normal<->busy) for any window
that is present in the application.
I can't seem to get the cursor to change for any window other than the main window. I'm providing
below the class that's used to register the windows and set the cursors.
What am I missing?

Drag & drop stops working when I drag outside the top-level window

I have implemented drag & drop in my application, using the pre-JDK 1.4 approach. It works fine until I drag outside the top-level window, then back in again. My drop target receives a dragExit, but doesn't get a dragEnter when I drag back in. It then gets frequent calls to dragOver - but the DropTargetDragEvent says there are no DataFlavors available.
Is this a known problem with d&d? Is there a known workaround?

I could really understand that it annoys you. I tried it on my machine and the "save as" dialog box is placed correctly. I couldn't pull the box out of the monitor because the menue bar keeps me under it.
Do you have the application frame activated? Try turning it off. "window > application frame"
The problem might be here: The behaviors of the menu bar and dock are adjustable. Go to the system prefs and try playing around with the Mission Control settings. At work I have menu bar and dock on both monitors. At home I set the prefs so that only the main screen has menu bar and dock.
I'm just guessing. Don't beat me if this doesn't help.

You might check in Administration > Manage Application Groups. It may be possible that your user is in an Application Group that does NOT have permissions to Create Initiatives. There is a box that needs to be checked to allow members of the group to add initiatives. Please check to see if that may be the case.

You can get the application handle, from the name displayed in the task manager Applicaitions tab. Then pass on this handle to the Move Window WIN32 API, alongwith the new position you want.

Opening Sap Form(cfl) on top of windows form added in an adddon

On a click of sapForm button,I have opened a windows form containing a buton on it .
Now on a click of this button I have opened the Cfl created on Sap form.but its opening at the back of the Windows form .I need to minimize my Windows form to view the Cfl opened .I want this cfl to be open on top of windows form on whose button click i have opened it.

Hide the top of windows(files, programs etc.)

Is there a way to hide the title bar at the top of windows, such as files, programs, folders etc? I could have sworn I use to do it it now when I try to hide the top of the window above the screen display it just rubber bands back and show the top of the
window. Im trying to hide as much visibility of the title bar across the top of a game as I can to increase actual game display.

Press down the COMMAND key then select each toolbar item and drag it off the toolbar - poof, they're gone. For any others simply open the Customize Toolbar selection of the View menu. Then select the option items and drag them out of the toolbar.
This should also be explained in Help (select Mac Help from the Finder's Help menu.)

I don't know of a built-in way to "dim" windows at all. The brightness controls on Macs control the overall brightness of the display. Option-Command-H will hide all other applications, if that helps. There are probably several third-party applications that perform similar "focus on one app" functions.

I simply reinstalled fire fox 3.6.19 and I can login no problem. Seems like it could be a compatability problem between 5.0 and windows 7. One other thing that happened often was lag while playing mmorpg games. Not sure if this fixed it or not, but I can update this thread when i find out.

Labview 2011 on Win7, OS causing serial loopback message corruption when clicking on top of windows?

I'm wondering if anyone else has seen problems like this.
I've been tearing my hair out over debugging some code. I have a ftont panel, I'm using some LEDs to send messages through the NI RS232 cable I bought, and have connected with a connector in a loopback fashion.
I've been trying to read the incoming messages from loopback...and based on those, changing indicators and controls on the front panel.
I could not figure why values were changing at strange times....like T's were turning to F's (I'm working with the serial data as boolean arrays).
Well, I was simplifying code, and mostly running right...but every once in awhile, it appeared that my front panel indictors, especially the values I'm changing based on the loopback serial messages would *BLINK*.
I happened to be looking at the Probe Watch window...and I saw where my probes were correctly showing on a couple spots (a left and right indicator) TTTTTTTF and TTTTTTTF......these appear at times to change T's to F's and vice versa.
I then started clicking around...and found this is almost always caused, when I click the mouse on the top of the window...the part that you usually click and drag to move a window around the Windows desktop!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can see this happen when I click on ANY window on the Windows OS desktop!!!!!!
It appears that the OS is messing with me..............?
I'm using Labview 2011, 32-bit on Win7....I believe the OS is 64 bit.
Has anyone seen behavior like this before?

I'm looking after I've done some processing....
I'm new to working with serial port stuff....I don't have a serial port capture device...?
Thing is...when I run this in debug with breakpoints and stepping through...I don't see this happening. But when running at full speed, and especially when I click on any of the open windows on my desktop, along the top margin where you would click and drag a window around...I can see the serial data in the probe jump...and all data going through the serial port and being displayed on the front panel changing values...
On my VI, I'm actually constructing the byte string...sending it through the serial loopback, and receiving it and acting on it. I can see the data going in is the same as is coming out...it just seems to quickly corrupt and then come back again...like maybe it is getting interrupted by the Win7 OS....?
I can't really post the whole code here...proprietary stuff...that's why in the past, I was posting a separate, simpler vi with only the parts I was having problems with....
I think I have full support with NI...I wonder if I could send them the code to look at, with more confidentiality...?
But again, I can make the problems happen, when it and the probe window is open, in real time...by clicking on windows.
Also, this tends to explain problems I saw earlier...when running slow, all was well , when debugging with break points and stepping through. But at full speed, unexplained...things would start resetting without explanation...and without regularity.
